What if amity park was Gotham
So amity park happened decades ago and amity park is known as a ghost town because of all it's ghost sightings
One day a billionaire bought the property of amity park, bulldosed all the old houses and started to build a city on it
However amity park is still dannys haunt, he's been there for decades and will not leave his home, he still feels the need to protect his home from the assholes destroying it
But he doesn't want to hurt anyone so he keeps sending signs and signals that their not welcome but anytime someone brings it up their fired and replaced by the billionaire
After the construction is done Danny dosen't know how to feel about it, it's not his home, these people destroyed his home and are now disrespecting it more and more but he doesn't want to hurt anyone so he just keeps sending signals telling them to leave but once again there ignored
This continues for centuries with Danny (his need to protect his home is now overriding the dislike of hurting people) getting more and more violent and nasty to the people invading his haunt
It gets worse and worse, Gotham gets polluted, crime rates go up, the poverty line increases just all around getting worse and worse
But no ones leaving
So Danny keeps getting more and more hostile towards the residents of Gotham because this is his home not theirs
The rogues happen because they were subconsciously inspired by the rogues Danny used to fight and his memories bleed into their subconscious, that's why they all share some resemblance to ghosts he knows ;frostbite and Dr.freeze/ poisen Ivy and overgrowth/ freak show and joker ect:;
So the reason Gotham is so corrupted is because it was build on dannys haunt and he just wants them gone
The neighbourhood Jason grew up in is so bad because that's dannys neighbourhood and he keeps trying to force them away.
The only reason Danny tolerates Batman is because he reminds Danny of when he was protecting his home as phantom

DC x DP Prompt *4*
Jason had been a little better recently. He had the pit better under control, even though it reared his head from time to time. But it was easier to talk with the bats... his family.
But B's staring was making his skin crawl. The big bad bat was staring him down for over ten minutes.
"What?!", his tone was harsher than he intended, but that wouldn't make him back down. The silence carried on for a few beats, before his fahter batman finally graced him with an answer.
"I spoke with Constantin... a while ago", it almost sounded like he wanted to talk emotions. Which could just mean something bad.
It took some moments before B continued. The emotional talk theory sounded more and more likely.
"There could be a way to help with the pit madness." - Bruce lifted his hand to stop any Protest from Jason - "I just want you to consider it. We won't do anything without your permission. It wouldn't even work without it. The entity is strong, but it is confirmed that it isn't a danger, as long as we treat this the right way", if he didn't know the old man any better, he would have thought that he was just as businesslike as always. But his jaw was clenched, his fingers kept twitching ever so slightly. His father Bruce was nervous.
And that was enough to reign the pit in, that kept whispering how they still didn't accept him. But that didn't mean he liked this idea.
So his answer was nothing more than a non committed grunt, before he swung on the back of his bike. The old man would be alright to wait for a bit.
.
.
.
It took months before Jason brought the conversation back up. The pit had been a bitch to reign in the last few weeks and today he felt at least somewhat like himself again.
They spoke just a little bit about what would need to happen, but Jason felt like his time was running thin. He didn't care all to much about the details at the moment.
Constantin was ordered to the cave and the summoning was prepared. No blood or sacrifice was needed, which made this magic bullshit at least a bit more tolerable.
Beside the Batman, Constantin and Red Hood was also Nightwing there. He didn't want any of his other siblings by his side. Not when he felt so easy to irritate.
The Magician began the ritual and in the circle formed a whirlpool of lazurus water. If Dick hadn't been standing behind him, he would have bolted.
But after just a few seconds emerged a white headed boy out of the pool. The portal closed and left a confused, floating boy behind.
But before Constantin or Batman could say a word, the green (Lazarus green!) eyes landed on him. The being gasped and flyed directly to him.
.
.
.
Danny had been minding his own business, free from rouges and king work for once. His finals stood right around the corner and he took the time off to learn.
But of course he had to be summoned in the only normal time he had. But since the energy felt familiar, he was to 90% sure that it should be sad trenchcoat man. So it should be important... hopefully.
As soon has he looked around he saw John and the Batman! But there was an energy that pulled his attention.
His eyes widened. This poor... Revenant? Halfa?? He wasn't sure, but! He was one of his people and it looked bad. And he seemed to be around his age, what made it so much worse.
Danny zoomed over to him, to have a better look. And that just made it worse.
"That looks bad... who did this to you?", he whisperd with a horrified glance at the chest of the other boy.
His core was slowly poisoned by his own ectoplasm and seemed like there was not much time left.

Just Like Me
To read at my Ao3 CLICK HERE This is the first chapter. sorry is its a little rough. :sweatdrop:
Almost forgot! Tw: i will be going heavy on quirkless discrimination and mental health issues. Theres not much in the first chapter but i do want to touch on it at some point.
School was never something he looked forward to. After all, what was there to look forward to? He was used to getting bullied, made fun of for being different, called names, shoved around. The irony wasn’t lost on him. Many years ago, maybe he would have been the normal one?
Then again, what even was normal?
It used to be normal to go to school- learn history, math, science and whatever language the school taught.
It used to be normal to not have any powers, after all -  superheroes were a dream. Stories people made up to tell themselves. Heroes existed, yes, but they never had powers. Heroes were just people, average people.
Again, there's another word that's changed. Average.
Normal. Average.
Two hundred years ago, it was normal for the average person to look human.
Two hundred years ago, it was normal for the average person to have no powers.
Two hundred years ago, it was normal for superheroes to only be a thing of stories.
That was two hundred years ago. Not now.
Now it's weird to not have powers.
Now you get bullied for being regular. Quirkless.
One of 20%.
Mathematically, he thought it was stupid that so many people get treated so differently. He did remember Mr. Lancer telling him of people getting treated for less. Mr. Lancer told him two hundred years ago, 10% of the population was seen as satanic because of what hand they used to write with. A similar estimated percent was discriminated against because of who they loved, or what they identified as.
“Sadly, Mr. Fenton, the human race has a history of not tolerating those who they see as a minority.”
“I remember that from history Mr. Lancer.” Danny sighed, leaning his head on his hand. His eyes stared out the window, looking at the stormy weather. “I remember you talking about how things used to be.”
The teacher pursed his lips, staying quiet and looking at him with concern.
Lancer had asked Danny to stay after class to speak to him. He never did like how Daniel’s peers would gang up on him after school ended. The best he could usually do was this. Casper’s principal was... far too likely to be accepting of anything the more wealthy students’ parents had to say.
“Is that why you’ve been spacing out all day then, Danny?”
It was asked gently. Danny’s eyes glanced over to the balding teacher before darting back to the window. He hummed for a moment. “...Kinda. I got a lot on my mind.”
“Penny for your thoughts then?” Lancer pulled his chair next to his desk.
It was quiet for a few minutes, the sound of rain gently pattering against the classroom windows filled the room while Danny collected his thoughts. Blue eyes watched raindrops roll down the glass.
“I don’t get it, Mr. Lancer.” His voice was quiet as the floodgates opened. “Everyone in my family has quirks. Dad is strong. My mom can copy anyone’s fighting styles just by watching. Jazz can look at someone and-.... well you know.” He sank down into his chair. “Aunty A, even has a quirk. I've never seen her miss a shot. And then there's me. Daniel James Fenton. The first quirkless person in our family in a long time. Don’t get me wrong either, it doesn’t bother me too much.” Liar. “It’s just... it feels like the cherry on top of everything else.
“My parents got an invitation to teach some classes at UA in Japan. In Japan, I've never lived anywhere but here. Amity Park. It’s not like they can leave me here. PLUS, Jazz has always wanted to go there for the General studies.”
“I understand your concern, Danny. But I’ve seen your work,” There was slight amusement in Mr. Lancers voice. “Aren’t you good at building things? I know I’ve caught you tinkering with something more than once in class.”
Danny’s face flushed red. “...My parent’s usually make those. They’re old models of support gear they have made. I was seeing if I could get a glitch out.”
“And?”
“...I keep shocking myself.” He mumbled. “It hurts like hell.”
“While I can’t say I’m happy that you are getting injured. As long as you are safe, I'm glad.” Mr. Lancer offered a smile to the teen. “As for the other predicament, you are always open to contact me if you need me after you move.”
“Thank you Mr. Lancer.”
~~~~~~~
Danny was thankful that they moved over the summer and not in the middle of the year. School was already hectic enough as was. Moving in the middle of the year was not something he ever wanted to do, let alone moving across the globe in the middle of the year.
He kept to himself for the first few weeks. He liked to walk around, exploring the new area. It felt different than Amity park. More crowded. He noted early on there was definitely more hero around too. It didn’t bother him too much.
That's a lie.
More heroes means more villains.
He didn’t like villains.
He also didn’t like being a hostage.
Lucky him!
He was held hostage by a villain not even before the end of the second week. Not that this was a first time experience for him, having been a favorite target back in Amity Park. He knew all the heroes back home personally because of it. People just loved to take quirkless people hostage. One would think, with the target that seems to hang over his head, that Daniel James Fenton wouldn’t take such risks as walking around alone at night. One would think that if he did, it would be out of necessity, and he would at least have something on him to defend himself.
...yeah no that's not the case. Why in the world would that be the case?
Danny was shoved onto the ground, air leaving his lungs as he hit. He gasped for air, trying to look at who was targeting him now. He couldn’t really tell much about the person, ratty clothes and a hoodie pulled up to cover their face. Nothing could be seen under the hood, it was just shadow, pure, black shadow.
“What’s a runt like you doing out right now?” The villain crouched next to Danny. Chuckling when he tried to scoot away. They put a foot on one of Danny’s wrists, “Ah-ah. Now that’s rude. I’m talking to you punk.”
Danny didn’t respond, wincing at the pressure on his arm.
“It’s rather rude to ignore your elders.” The villain put more pressure, adjusting so they were crouched like a vulture next to prey.
“F-fuck you. I’ve seen worse.” He growled
The regret in saying that was nearly instant. In the blink of an eye, the ground next to his head - that was solid concrete what the hell- was shattered. The villain was making an inhuman noise, a low gutteral sound coming from them. “You haven’t seen my worst. I wasn’t gonna do much to ya, but I’m starting to change my mind kid.”
He knew he should do anything else - he was already on a thin line - but fuck it. He had a free hand anyways. He grabbed something from his pocket and slammed it against the villain. “As I said before. Fuck. You.” He pressed the button on the side.
The machine sparked to life. Quite literally. Danny still didn’t know what it was supposed to do, but he could make it shock things. Like a weird taser. Unlucky for Danny he was literally pinned to the ground beneath the villain getting tased. And as everyone knows. Humans are conductive. Very conductive.
Strangely the villain didn't even flinch. The growl getting louder as they grabbed the device from their shoulder and crushed it with their hand. Danny started shaking. Okay so that was a horrible idea.
The shadows of the alley gathered around the villain. Climbing up their clothing and slowly slithering along their arm. They held Danny down, forming chains around him. In the villain’s hand, a knife, absorbing all light, The villian made the move to attack, and Danny closed his eyes, waiting for the pain to come.
It never did.
It lessened.
Weight lifted from him, a weight he hadn’t realized was there besides his arm. Tentatively he opened his eyes.
The villain was on the ground a few meters away from him, knocked out and tied up to a fire exit- similar to how Batman would leave criminals for the cops. Danny blinked. He hadn’t heard anything. So what in the world happened? And how could that have happened so fast?
Standing up, he looked around for a sign of anyone being there to help him.
Oddly enough. It seemed no one had caused the villain to go down, at least not that Danny could see. Blue eyes scanned the area for a moment, looking for anything that wasn’t there before. Nothing popped out. Nothing was out of place. It looked like no one had been there.
He let out a breath he didn’t realize he had been holding. The air condensed, forming mist as it left his mouth and floated away. It was like when he first stepped outside in the winter. Which was strange- it was the middle of summer. A small frown formed on his face. The nights here weren’t that cold normally.
He brushed it off, ignoring the goosebumps running along his skin as the air chilled. Perhaps whoever knocked the villain out had a rather cold quirk, he mused to himself. Heroes normally make themselves known at this point, checking to see if he was okay.
He had an inkling it wasn’t a hero. At least not a licensed one. Not that he minded. He didn’t care who it was really. They saved his life… he was grateful for that.
Danny looked up to the clear sky, moonlight peaking over the buildings enough to illuminate the alley where the street lights glowed. He smiled up to the stars. “Thank you.” He said softly. “I wasn’t paying attention tonight.”
He left the alley, starting his way back home. He never caught sight of the figure watching him.
Bug Bros
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Word Count: 2.4k
Requested by @lina-lovebug: Jaime Reyes x Parker! Fem! Reader? They both have a cruch on eachother and Tye and Ed and Barr tease him a lot about it, and always wonder why he doesn't just ask her out. Jaime just doesn't want to start a long distance since she lives in New York, but when she becomes part of the Young leaguers, now he has no excuse. They go out on a first date, which ends abrupt cuz his friends ended up following him. She kisses him anyway and he walks her back to Mt. Justice.
“Dude, staring at her isn’t gonna do anything.” Eduardo snickered at Jaime.
“There’s this thing called talking, you should try that with her.” Tye shook his head as he tossed the guys a soda, sitting down in the Mount Justice lounge with them.
“Shut up, guys!” Jaime groaned, face burning red.
You and your teammates, Peter Parker and Sam Alexander, were here in Rhode Island on official S.H.I.E.L.D business. This wasn’t your first visit here, so nobody was surprised when none of you had really paid attention to the debriefing back at S.H.I.E.L.D (as per usual), so the trip was taking longer than expected (as per usual). Your twin brother, Peter, was currently trying to work out some sort of deal with Black Canary, you and Sam were not listening. You were both bored, and eventually snuck off to the lounge, where some of the Outsiders were chilling.
“Guys mind if we crash here?” Sam asked them, sitting down next to Bart without an answer.
“Sure.” Tye mumbled sarcastically at him.
“So what do you guys do to avoid meetings around here?” You asked as you leaned against the back of the couch behind Jaime, eyes on the tv, which was currently playing Remember the Titans. Jaime’s eyes widened and he stiffened with how close you were to him, and his friends noticed.
“Usually just run the other direction.” Bart said through a mouthful of chips.
“What’s your meeting about, anyways?” Eduardo asked.
You and Sam both shrugged.
“How many times do we have to visit you guys for you to know we never know what’s going on?” You grinned.
“Yeah, we just follow Web Heads lead.” Sam stole a handful of chips from Bart. “It’s funny how you think we take our job seriously.”
Everyone looked at the both of you, concerned.
“We’re kidding, we take it seriously.” You reassure them. “Just nothing to do with...business meetings.”
“Nova! H/N! Get back here!” Spider Man ordered you. Sam rolled his eyes and took one last handful of chips before putting his helmet on and flying over.
“See ya later, Bug Bro.” You ruffled Jaime’s hair before shooting a web and swinging back over. Jaime’s face was now bright red, and he was clutching his soda can so tight his knuckles turned white. Eduardo and Tye started snickering at him, Jaime throwing his empty soda can at them in retaliation It didn’t affect either of them the way Jaime wanted it to, and they kept laughing at him.
“Why don’t you just ask her out?” Bart asked.
“Because.” Jaime crossed his arms and pouted.
“It’s a simple resolution, dude.” Tye picked up the soda can and tossed it back at him teasingly.
“Just ask her out, amigo!” Eduardo shouted a little too loud. Thankfully, you were too busy getting scolded by Black Canary and Batman to hear. “She obviously likes you, and even a deaf and blind man would know you like her!”
“I can’t ask her out, guys!” Jaime snapped at them, now actually angry. Now they stopped laughing and looked at him, concerned.
“Dude, whats up?” Tye asked his best friend.
“Looks, she lives all the way in New York. I live in El Paso.” Jaime sighed. “There’s no way it would work.”
“But you’re mostly here.” Bart tried to reassure him. “Rhode Island isn’t too far from New York.”
“Asami lives in Japan, we still make it work.” Tye added.
“Asami doesn’t live in Japan. She moved here last week. Don’t think I don’t remember.” Jaime mumbled.
“But before that we had a long distance thing.”
“For like a month while she sorted stuff out with her parents.” Jaime scoffed. “Y/N lives in New York. She’s not moving anytime soon.”
“So...you like her, but you’re not willing to even give long distance a try?” Eduardo raised an eyebrow.
“Well that makes me sound like el huevón, dude!” Jaime snapped. “Look, it just won’t work, okay? Would you guys just drop it?”
The boys all glanced at each other, shocked at Jaime’s outburst. He was always so chill, would hardly even yell at villains, so they almost didn’t recognize him when he was angry. Even Tye didn’t, and he’s known the guy since middle school.
“What’s the ups, dudes? Change the channel, games on.” Virgil waltzed in, snatching the remote from the coffee table.
Virgil didn’t notice the tense atmosphere until his team scored, and he went to high five Jaime, and didn’t get a response.
“Uhh...don’t leave me hangin, bro!” Virgil said, then finally looked at the other boys’ faces. “What’s going on?”
“Nothing.” Jaime grumbled, getting up and walking out to the balcony.
“What’s his deal?” Virgil asked. “I didn’t think it was physically possible for him to be angry...”
“I’ll go talk to him.” Tye rushed after Jaime.
He walked out to the balcony, Jaime sitting on the rail and mumbling to himself, something he often did when he was nervous. Tye would often catch him doing this before math tests or trying a complicated skateboard trick.
“Talk to me, man.” Tye leaned against the railing, resting his chin on his hand.
“I really like her.” Jaime said, just above a whisper. “I don’t know what to do.”
“Well, you can either tell her and try, or never tell her and miss your chance forever.” Tye said nonchalantly, staring out at the city.
“Wow. That makes me feel better.” Jaime chuckled.
“Hey, you can always count on me to be real with you.” Tye nudged him lightly.
“That I can.” Jaime playfully shoved him.
“So? What are you gonna do?” Tye raised an eyebrow.
“I’m not sure yet.”
“Bug Bro!” You shouted, before jumping onto Jaime’s back. He yelped, quickly straightening up and holding onto the backs of your legs to keep you up.
“Warn me next time?” He asked, grinning up at you and you leaned over his shoulder to see his face.
“Sorry.” You laughed, ruffling his hair affectionately. “I have news, bro.”
“What is it, bro?” He asked as he continued making his way towards the kitchen for some lunch.
“Fury gave the green light, I’m joining the Outsiders!” You beamed excitedly.
“What? Really?” Jaime asked, eyes widening in shock.
“Yeah, I’m gonna be a counselor too.” You smiled.
“Why aren’t you staying in New York?” He asked as you hopped off his back and walked next to him.
“I need a change of scenery.” You shrugged. “Some space from my brother. I love him and all, but he never lets me do a lot on missions. Thinks I’ll get hurt or whatever.”
“Is it permanent?” He asked curiously.
“Nothings permanent, Jaime.” You giggled. “But maybe. I do want to help people more directly. I love my team but I just don’t have that kind of opportunity with S.H.I.E.L.D.”
“Yeah...S.H.I.E.L.Ds kinda scary.” Jaime rubbed the back of his neck nervously. “Well, I’m glad to have you on the team, Y/N.”
“Now I’ll be with my Bug Bro all the time!” You grinned, elbowing him playfully.
“Yeah! Totally.” He grinned nervously.
“Dude, what do I even say?” Jaime hyperventilated as he paced back and forth in front of Bart and Tye.
Tye and Bart didn’t really get along, they tolerated each other, but thy weren’t best buds. But when Jaime needed help, they would stop the bickering and work together.
“You got the hard part over with.” Tye shrugged. “She said yes to the date.”
“I know. I thought that was the hard part, turns out it’s not.” Jaime said as he checked himself in the mirror for the thousandth time. “Now I gotta actually make sure she likes me?”
“Well...Yeah?” Bart blinked at his homie. “Dude, just be yourself.”
“But a little less nervous.” Tye added.
“And maybe stop sweating.” Bart nodded.
“Quit worrying about your hair, it hasn’t moved since 2008.”
“Try to flirt a little more.”
“But not too much, you don’t want to come off as an idiot.”
“But you said be myself! None of those things is myself!” Jaime shouted at his friends.
“Be yourself...but calm.” Bart instructed.
“How am I supposed to be calm? I-“
“Dude! You’re late!” Tye yelled when he saw the time, 7 minutes past when Jaime was supposed to leave to pick you up.
“Shit!” Jaime snatched his keys from the dish on the side table. “See you guys later! But what if I mess this up-“
“Go!” Tye and Bart both yelled. Jaime stuck his tongue out at ten before rushing out to his car.
Bart and Tye sat in awkward silence for a few minutes, blankly staring at the tv.
“Wanna follow him?” Bart grinned.
“Oh yeah.” Tye nodded. “Let me call for reinforcements.”
“...and then Danny punched a hole trough the wall and hit Sam on accident.” You giggled as you finished a story about your teammates.
“Isn’t Danny supposed to be the chill one?” Jaime chuckled.
“Apparently.” You shrugged. “To be fair, he had a reason to be mad.”
“I suppose. So-“ Jaime opened his mouth to ask another question, but froze when he saw something: a few tables back and on the row across from them, he saw Tye, Bart, Eduardo and Virgil wearing sunglasses, fake mustaches and their hoods. He instantly glared at them, motioning discreetly for them to leave.
“What are you-?” You turned to look where he was.
“Wait Wait Wait!” Jaime shouted, a little too loudly, gaining the attention of several other customers. He smiled nervously and cleared his throat. “Um...you mentioned earlier a time when Sam crash landed into the White House?”
“Oh yeah!” You laughed, and began the story.
Jaime wanted to pay attention, he really did, but he couldn’t take his focus off his idiot friends. First of all he couldn’t believe Tye agreed to the ‘disguises’. Second of all, he couldn’t believe they were spying on him! Had they no regard for privacy and personal space?? Okay, so, maybe he did believe it.
‘Jaime Reyes, I advise you to focus on the Y/N Parker. She may grow angry if she discovers you are not listening. Shall I activate and obliterate the Tye Longshadow, Bart Allen, Eduardo Dorado Jr and Virgil Hawkins so you may focus properly on the Y/N Parker’s story?’ The Scarab asked.
“No! No obliteration!” Jaime mumbled.
“Is the Scarab talking to you?” You asked curiously.
“Yeah, sorry. He’s been yapping in my ear, it’s hard to concentrate.” He rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
“Oh. Well, we can leave if you want.” You smiled and waved over the waitress for the check.
“Please, let me.” Jaime set down his credit card before you could even open your wallet.
“Come on, you drove us here.” You sigh as the waitress took his credit card.
“It’s no trouble, really.” He shook his head. “It’s my fault this is ending so abruptly, it’s the least I can do.”
Once the waitress came back with his card he led to back out to his car, glaring at his friends as you passed the table. They all snickered, quickly paying their bill and piling into Virgil’s car.
“Where’d they go?” Bart asked as he leaned forward, between Virgil and Tye.
“Uh...there!” Eduardo pointed ahead. “¡Dale!”
Virgil stepped on it, following close behind Jaime’s black car. Tye looked at his phone when a text alert went off, seeing a text from Jaime: Quit following me! You’re all dead!
Tye just snickered, before responding with: wow, texting and driving? Not cool, man.
They followed Jaime’s car all the way back to Mount Justice, Eduardo and Bart bickering as they tried to see between the front seats, shoving each other. Virgil parked far behind them, just close enough to be able to see.
You were clueless to the car full of idiots as Jaime walked you up to the entrance. Jaime was well aware, and worried that you would notice them.
‘Jaime Reyes, get her inside quick. Once the door shuts we shall obli-‘
“Scarab, Stop!” Jaime scolded.
“He’s still chatty?” You giggled at Jaime as you reached the doors.
“Yeah, sorry.”
“Don’t apologize. You can’t help that the alien parasite attached to you is talkative.” You smile up at him, making him laugh. “Uh...I had a really good time. Even if it was cut short.”
“Yeah, me too.” He smiled back at you, equally as nervous and awkward.
You both stood there for a few moments, not sure what to do next.
“What are they doing?” Eduardo asked as he shoved Batt aside to see better.
“They’re just standing there.” Virgil shook his head. “Is this dude really not smooth at all?”
“Trust me, hasn’t been smooth ever since we were kids.” Tye shook his head. “Doesn’t have a smooth bone in his body.”
“Actually, I’m pretty sure your bones are smooth-Ow! What?” Bart rubbed his arm where Eduardo punched him.
“Come on, Jaime, do something.” Virgil groaned, starting to get second hand embarrassment for the guy.
Jaime knew he wanted to kiss you, but was it what you wanted? Would you yell at him? Not return it? Never lack to him ever again? Luckily, his anxious thoughts were interrupted when you suddenly craned your neck up to be able to press your lips to his. It was a quick peck on the lips, just to test the waters. He pulled you in for another kiss, and you wrapped your arms around his shoulders to lift yourself up a little higher.
“Finally!” Tye shouted, probably loud enough for the both of you to hear if you weren’t so busy.
“Oh, gross! I said kiss, not suck face!” Virgil pretended to gag.
“Dang, they’re really going at it.” Bart mumbled.
“You guys ruin the mood.” Eduardo shook his head. “Is this what it’s like to date you?”
“First of all, watching someone suck face is way different than sucking face.” Tye said.
“Quit saying ‘suck face’.” Eduardo cringed.
“Second of all, I am a delight to date.”
“Ha!” Virgil snorted, then slapped his hand over his mouth when Tye sent him a death glare. “I mean...yeah dude, who wouldn’t date you? You’re just so...lovely.”
“Uh...guys...Jaime’s coming for us.” Bart warmed.
“Crap! Start the car! Start the car!” Eduardo shrieked as Jaime activates his Blue Beetle suit, flying at them with the thirst for revenge in his eyes.
Alright well if I wanna make friends it would probably be a good idea to start an about me now wouldn't it 😂😂😂
I'm kinda new to tumblr, I made this account a LOOOONG time ago and never really used it. I've exhausted basically every other social media outlet you can possibly THINK OF for friends. Reddit I thought was my last resort but then I remembered I could come back here 😂😂. I super appreciate that tumblr saved my account name so thank God for that. But when I opened this account again I couldn't believe some of the stuff I used to post.... Haha so random.
Anyways enough about my account! If you haven't already read my bio, I'm El, 22, a gal and I'm sorely lacking in the friend department. I'd super appreciate it if you were at least 20-28 before sending me a message, from the U.S (yes timezones suck), and be down to basically talk everyday about anything and everything! I happen to be a night owl so I'm up at almost all hours of the day (minus when I sleep). I will say now before I go any further that I do NOT tolerate any of the following: **NSFW, one words/small talk/low effort, politics/debates, drugs/alcohol/partying, sexism/racism, and nothing more than friends (I have a bf).**
I'd like to think of myself as a caring and supportive individual. I don't mind if you need to vent to me or just want me to listen. I also would LOOOOVE IT if I had someone whom I could geek out with over tv shows, movies, music, and video games!
I do love quite a bit of TV series which includes (but is not limited to): Lost girl, she ra and the princesses of power, wandavision, Loki, wolverine and the xmen, xmen evolution, spectacular Spider-Man, quantum leap, static shock, danny phantom, the hollow, kipo and the age of wonderbeasts, etc.
For music I love dark pop, death pop, pop, pop punk, punk, rock, indie, 80s-2000s, alternative, metal.
Waylon didn’t like others in the sewers. He tolerated Grundy but other people he couldn’t stand. He’d often catch the occasional drug smuggler working their way through. They were either really bold or really stupid. The latter was usually the truth. But the worst things he finds are the bodies. The Mafia or gangs sometimes dump them down here not that he cares they eventually float out into the harbour. That is what he thought the kid was.
He collapsed right outside a manhole cover entrance. The kid had to be around 14. His clothes were in tatters. The hoodie he was wearing had burn marks all over it, the kid probably had the burns to match. The kid had more bandages than a B-rate horror movie Mummy and was just as shittly wrapped.
“Hey, you alive?” Waylon asks pushing the kid with his foot.
The kid let out a hiss of pain as Waylon’s foot brushed up against him. The kid’s eyes snapped open a bright green. The kid immediately went into a fighting stance it reminded him a bit of the bat’s robins. That image fell apart as the kid lost his footing, probably from blood loss, and smacked his face on the concert floor.
Waylon sighs. “Okay…. Great.” He checks the kid over again. Good, he was just knocked out. Waylon sighs again as he picks the kid up. Probably isn’t the best to take him to a hospital by himself but maybe Doc Thompkins is still in.
_____
Danny had been running for a while. He just escaped and was running on empty. Bleeding heavily as he ran around this city. He wasn’t sure what city this is, but it definitely wasn’t Amity Park. Everything was blurry, his mind and the world around him. He’s sure he fell into something but he wasn’t sure. The pain that he felt he was sure of that though. Everything hurt. He fell again. Somebody picked him up he wanted to get away but it was nice and cool here. Like a big ice pack picked him up.
His consciousness was fading in and out. It snapped back to him when he saw a needle.
No. NO. he needs to get away. Not again. No more needles no more. The needles went away and a mask fell over his face.
----
The kid was a pain to wrangle, even when he was barely conscious. The doc and him had to hold the kid down just to sudate him. Doc had to use gas cause as soon as the kid saw a sharp object he nearly broke Croc’s arm. If the kid had any more energy he definitely would have. Doc cut off the bandages as nurses ran around grabbing supplies. One of the braver nurses asked him to wait outside so they could help the kid. So here he was waiting in the waiting room with a few other patients. About an hour later the Doc came back and told him about the kid.
“Where’d you find him?”
“Where else? I thought he was another body dump.”
“He nearly was. There is evidence that either he was an experiment in a lab or somebody was trying to sell his organs. But he’s mostly intact so I’m leaning toward the experiment. You want me to tell Batman?”
“I don’t think the kid’s in any condition to be integrated by the bat.”
“I’ll give it a few days but I think this is something they need to look into…. I’m surprised you brought the kid here and stayed to hear about it.”
Part of Waylon wanted to sneer at the comment but he didn’t know himself.
The doc hummed. “The Kid has some pretty bad burns on his abdomen, several medical incisions all over his body, and a pretty bad crack in his skull like someone hit him with a baseball bat. I’m not one for miracles but the fact that he is even alive is nothing short of one.”
Their conversation ended when the bell on the door chimed and three vigilantes walked in. Everyone stopped for a moment. Waylon put his hands in front of himself showing that he wasn't he for a fight. Doc’s clinic was one of the only neutral places in Gotham. It wasn’t exactly a haven but almost everyone knew no one fights anyone here.
“Hey, Croc. Hey, Doc.” Nightwing says with a smile holding his arm to stop the bleeding.
“I would punch you if you weren’t injured,” Hood said.
Robin nods in agreement. “This is just another example of your idiocracy,”
“Like tonight, when you tried to do an extra flip when you were being shot at.” Hood added.
Nightwing feigns shock.
“No fighting boys, come on I’ll get you patched up.” Doc leads Nightwing away as Hood and Robin stay behind.
Robin stares at Waylon, his hand on his katana.
“Hey, brat you heard the Doc no fighting you know the rules,” Hood said to Robin.
Robin clicked his tongue in response.
The time drags on for a while as they wait.
“Why are you here croc?”
Waylon debated on what to tell them. He should tell them about the kid.
“Found a body dumped in the sewers. Except this one was still alive.”
The slits on both their masks crease.
“You usually aren’t that nice.”
“The bodies dumped aren’t usually kids. The kid is in the doc’s care now. Ask her your questions.”
Even behind the masks, Waylon could tell they were angry. Robin gripped his sword’s hilt a little tighter. Hood went to go find the Doc.
“Where did you find him?”
“In the sewers below the manhole cover in a back alley off 5th street just outside Crime Alley.”
Robin turned to go find Hood. “Thank you for the information,” he said before running off.
At least Batman was attempting to teach this Robin manners. Waylon was about to walk out the door when there were a few yells from behind him and someone ran right into his back almost making him fall forward. Waylon tried to turn to see who was behind him but then they started to climb his back and onto his shoulder and he was met with the same glowing green eyes he met in the sewers.
“Kid you are going to give people, myself included, a heart attack.” trying to move the kid off his shoulder.
“You failed to tell us he was a meta,” Robin said from behind him.
“Thought the doc or the kid would.”
The kid’s face scrunchs in on itself. He was confused about something. He tried to say something but his voice wouldn’t work. He tried again and again but it wouldn’t work. He was getting more and more frustrated until the Doc handed him a piece of paper and a pen.
The kid sat on the floor surrounded by Croc the vigilantes and the nurses as he wrote out what he wanted to say. When he was finished he climbed back on Waylon’s shoulder and handed him the paper. The handwriting is a little shaky but readable for the most part.
Waylon started to read until the vigilantes interrupted.
“Hey, share with the class.” Hood interrupted.
“Yeah, I wanna hear what your koala wrote,” Nightwing said.
The kid stuck his tongue out at Nightwing’s remark.
“fine, It says: Hi, I’m Danny. To the alligator… crocodile -whichever- man, thanks for the help. I was really out of it when you found me so I don’t know much about what happened. But I really don’t like hospitals cause the people chasing me could find me. So thanks I think. I have a few questions too so how about 20 questions?”
“Kid if I was your English teacher I would fail you. This was so hard to read.” Croc said and Hood agreed after looking over the paper.
The kid took the paper back and wrote a little more.
“Been their done that.”
Hood was just more frustrated. Danny was laughing so everyone could tell he was messing with them a little. Danny was running out of paper so the doctor got him a dry-erase board and a marker.
“This better?”
Much better, Thank you, Danny wrote smiling back at Doc with sharp pointed teeth.
“So Danny you get to ask a question first.”
Your names?
“Doctor Thompkins.” doc introduced herself first but everyone stopped when Danny flinched.
“Clinic’s a kind of safe space, no fighting. And whoever hurt you is not allowed here.” croc says surprising the rest of the room.
Danny nods after a moment.
“Red Hood and this is Robin and Nightwing,” he says gesturing to each vigilante.
“Waylon.”
Danny nods along waving at them.
“So where are you from?”
Danny began drawing a picture. The kid was focusing hard on the drawing his tongue stuck out. NightWing nudged Robin says “Hey you do that.” Robin just responded by clicking his tongue.
Danny finished holding up a picture of Illinois and a small dot labelled Amity Park.
“You’re a long way from home kid. How the hell do you get all the way to New Jersey?” Hood asks.
Danny tilted his head eyes widening a bit.
Well, that answered my other question. I didn’t know where I was cause they moved me so much before I escaped.
“...Okay, who is ‘they’? They're the ones that hurt you?” Nightwing asks.
The room gets quiet after the question. Tears roll down Danny’s face then break out into full sobs as he curls in on himself. Waylon placed his hand on the kid’s head.
“Hey, I said before no one here is going to hurt you or let you get hurt, okay?”
Danny nods after a few minutes he picks up the board again and writes.
Everyone’s blood boils at the answer they got to Nightwing’s question.
They are my parents and an agency called G.I.W. I don’t know what it stands for.
Danny set the board down and curled back into a ball. He didn’t pick up the board again. Doc draped a blanket over Danny as he passed out leaning back against Waylon.
have i mentioned how much i love villains being not villainous because of small (or not so small) child?
because
anyway
imagine you are killer croc and you are just kind of chilling in the sewers doing killer croc things
when suddenly there is an Intruder! In! Your! Territory!!!
so obviously you take your scary face and take on a more menacing stance and go to fight off whoever is down here because
this is your place! and you do not share!!
and then you get there its a child, and like, you have fought robin before but his dad was there and he was in good health and you might have gone easy on him but you will never admit to it so it might as well have never happened
but that is a young teenager(!), looks like he might be 13(!!) but with how skinny he is he might be older and just malnourished(!!), he is actively bleeding(!) and might get an infection(!!!) from the wound on his chest that on closer inspection looks like a Vivisection(!!!!!!!) wound on his chest and he is looking fearfully at the manhole cover that he just came in from
so obviously you scoop him up and bring him deep deep down
crocodiles are excellent parents and highly protective of their young
he even runs through the water instead of swimming because of all the grossness lf the sewer
this kid is his now and he will protect him with the ferociousness of a wild boar
Tumblr media
So anyway going back a bit, i imagine Jay is more emotionally stable in this. Like, dead-jay met phantom like, really soon after he formed. Like, he has been dead for a week and his ghost forms in the realms, and because Robin is, genuinely, magic, he keeps his memories of living! About six months in reality goes wonky for a second and a piece of jay (small, not enough to really notice) gets yeeted back into his revived body. About a year passes, danny and jay are super close, things are going good, danny gets ghost king and makes jay his fright night. The same time, talia finds jay in the hospital. Another year passes, lets go with bad fanton parents reveal where jay is injured in the rescue. Nothing life threatening, but it still scares danny, who is heavily injured.
This got so much longer then originally intended so imma add a read more lol
Two days later, jay is p mich healed but danny is still pretty messed up, and talia throws jay's body into the pit, which rips jay away from Danny's side and into his body. The pit fills that last bit of damage he took and fucks him up emotionally royally, blocks a lot of the realms information. He spends about a month in the throes of the pit rage before danny finaply tracks him down and has to trick him into going to see frostbite. Thankfully, he had JUST left for his world tour of training, so the loa doesn't catch wind of this. He gets cleansed, gets his memory back, knows not to trust talia or ras, but also. Being undead? And fright knight? And dating trhe king of the dead? Kinda fucks with your morals a little bit. U know? So he and danny go together to learn the skills and they spend like, the next two years travelling and training, and he is much better adjusted by the end of it, but still hurt and misses his dad. The main change for his takeover is that he makes it clear from the start that robin is one of the kids he will not tolerate his people touching. Jay makes it clear that his beef is with batman and Nightwing. He still goes to titans tower and fucks tim up pretty good, but it is clear from the start that he isn't there to genuinely maim or hurt the kid. He doesn't hold back, hence how tim ends up battered and bruised, but once he wins he helps tim back up and to the med bay and they end it not really as allies but def not enemies.
Jay is still just as brutal and violent with everyone else, he just keeps robin out of it.
Also to be clear on tim's age, i have him starting as robin around age 11? I think? By the time jay comes around it has been about 5 years give or take, so he is at least 16. Jay is 20, danny is 18? I think? Something like that.
But anyway, things are still violent and bloody. Danny is away for most of it. Jay wants to do this alone and danny has realms business he needs to see to anyway. They live together in an apartment in gotham that is literally impossibly to track down (perks of having powers lmao) so they still go home to each other, but they are super chill about doing separate things. They are both seeing ghost therapists, jay is aware the whole "me or him" thing is fucked up, but he also has it set up so that no matter whst B chooses, jay will make it out and joker will end up dead. He is supposed to, at least.
So going back to tim:
Tim def goes to B about the missing time and gets the timeline drawn up separately and realizes that sonething fishy is going down, so he goes to babs next to ask about the missing footage. She can't find it. She can find where it should be, but it's gone. Completely. I think his next step at that dead end would be to shift gears. The king of the dead, right? Well, who does he know that B knows as BATMAN who has potantial links to all involved parties? Superman has probably technically died at this point, probably a good number of league heroes have too, but supes has sorta a connection to the joker in that he stopped b from killing the guy once. Not strong but still possible, so he checks the guy's alibi and itrules him out. Next is maybe babs? But she was provably working as oracle on something separate and the king of the dead would only be a thing for her because her mom is dead. Not the kind of tie that would have him hunting b down for her. Jason though?
He doesn't know much about Jay's time dead and in the league. Knows the guy is sane, knows the guy was dead but is alive now, knows the joker killed him, and knows he has been working up to some big showdown between himself, B, and the Joker. He realizes that last point and is immediately like "i should have thought of him first" and goes to get some sleep about it.
Knows jay would refuse to answer any questions until he has, so he preemptively goes to do it.
So he goes to find jay the next day. Except. No one has seen him in a couple days. His gang is still running, he has called his higest level goons and has them running things, but no one has talked to him in person or seen him since the night if the missing footage.
Tim has a very bad feeling about this.
Tim goes to babs again, cause it is well established that she will fight b if he steps out of line, and he presents his findings and asks for help tracking Jay's movements for the lead up to the missing footage. They get his last known location and manage to find a cctv that captures him dragging joker into the warehouse.
They do not find anything with b on it, but that isn't surprising. What they do manage to find is a flash of light followed by some intense static for about twenty seconds before the video comes back as though nothing happened.
Tim tries to call jason again and gets nothing.
Babs calls dick to see if he knows anything he will tell her that he wouldn't share with tim. Babs calls b about the missing footage as though she just noticed it. Tim knows he absolutely shouldn't call the ghost king to ask why, but at this point he is pretty sure it has something to do with why jay hasn't been seen since then and why bruce wont talk about how he got the joker.
He confront B one more time about the footage and the joker and asks about jason specifically. He knows jay is a sore subject and usually off limits but he has to poke. B dismisses him on the first question, repeats his story about finding him in a warehouse for the second, and then gets pissy about the third. Doesn't yell, not at first, but definitely gets pissy and angry because tim knows how to press and jay has always been a surefire way to ruin B's emotional control.
I think B threatens to fire him, or something equally devastating to sixteen year old tim. Gets tim to drop it to his face, but he has been lying to batman successfully for five years now. He embezzled a fucking batmobile. He knows B is in the wrong here, he is going to get to the bottom of this.
So. He does the thing everyone told him not to do. He finds a way to send a missive to the ghost king. He asks, very politely, if he can have a few minutes to ask some questions because he is a detective first and foremost and B is lying about something pretty significant right now. Is clear that Phantom can set the terms, the time, the place, etc, and that he only requests it be after school lets out for the day (not that he gives a shit about high school, really), and that he not be forced to betray B, that he be given time and space to make his own decisions on the situation so he can be as objective as it is possible for him to be. He also asks, again very politely, if Jay is okay.
It's the last question that gets him a response. Jay wants to talk to the little bird, actually. He is trying to talk Danny down from immediate action against batman (he knows how important batman is to gotham and even though he hates the guy he still loves alfred and also his mom is gotham? And she loves batman? And since Jay is gonna be okay she isn't likely to see the bloodshed as worth the kind of pu ishment danny wants? At least while b is still alive.) And is actually genuinely touched that tim thought of him and knows tim suspects something and wants to talk to him about it, especially cause his opinion on B just plummeted and he is reevaluating how the guy treats tim and is realizing a lot of things and really wants to try and get tim out of there if he can. The dude slit his son's throat to save the man that killed said son, no way Jay thinks he should be trusted to look after another kid! Doesn't matter that said kid is already 16 and very independent and has been taking care of B for years now. All the more reason for jay to get the kid a better support network, and if that means being the guy's friend then he will do it!
So danny, at Jay's urging, brings tim to see jay in his room at the keep (they are staying in the zone for while jay heals and the keep is more comfortable for Jay's fire core then the far frozen). Tim takes one look at the bandages and is like "B did that, didn't he?" And now jay has to talk down TWO very angry peopke who care about jay and are very pissed at batman. Tim, at least, agrees that any reprimand while the dude is alive should be done by his peers in the living realm. He has some. Opinions. On what those should be. But def living realm justice for him at the moment. Tim successfully talks danny into rescinding the sacrifice order via "let him face justice in the human realm first. He will face your wrath and judgment eventually no matter what, why speed it up when the anticipation is going to fuck him up so thoroughly also?" He points out that at the end of the day, Batman is meant to peotect him from the pain of losing anyone else and with this one act, not only has he lost his son for good, but he lost his robin, he is going to lose many friends when they find out about it, he is probably going to lose the man who raised him, he will lose barbara, he might even lose dick, he might lose just about everything, because he couldn't handle gaining his son back if it meant he would just lose him again.
Cause i personally read that whole situation as Bruce never truely grieving Jason like he should have, never truely allowing himself to feel that pain and heal from it, so when Jason came back different it hit him two-fold: on one side, every time he saw jason he was only seeing the pieces that he lost and feeling that old pain just as cutting and fresh as when he died, and on the other, he was seeing the pieces that had changed and knowing that if he allowed himself to acknowledge that he still loves his son and wants to get to know this new version of him then he is only oepning himself up to losing him again. To me, Bruce's whole thing about Jason is rooted in his inability to truely allow himself to grieve what he lost coupled with the reluctance to open himself up to feeling that hurt again. It's why he was so awful to tim at first and i don't think the problem ever went away, it just took a back seat after he was forced to acknowledge how much he cares about Tim.
So anyway, tim brings his findings to babs so she can talk to dick while tim talks to alfred. Then the three of them present the case to the league the same time danny comes forward as phantom to explain that "no, I am not asking for batman anymore, but it isn't because I have forgiven. It is because I will Not Forget, no matter how long it takes for his time to come. You can have your protector for as long as he is alive. Once he dies... Once he dies it is my turn."
After all that tim ends up going red robin early (jay offers the call sign while they are brainstorming new costume and call sign designs while jay is still stuck in bed) and takes an interest in the community building aspects of Jay's gang, ends up doing some admin stuff money-wise. He and jay are honorary birds of prey members. Dick does a lot of travelling heroics, tours the world, goes back to his roots in that way until the black glove stuff starts happening and damian shows up. No less murder attempts on tim, since talia set those up, and Tim is pretty close with jay and danny at that point so he is super liminal, which comes with that increased durability, so it doesn't come nearly as close to killing him as before.
I think the bat family as a whole still exists, most of them still care about B on some level so they don't just cut him out completely. Tim gets emancipated early, i think, but still lives with B publicly. Alfred stays, but gets more vocal about calling B out and makes it clear that he is there for Tim and Steph (when does she die again? I don't remember...) and jay and dick and barb and cass. I think he joins cass in hong kong for a month or so right after it happens, as a vacation of sorts to help him figure out what he wants to do.
Black glove happens and B ends up globe trotting, Barb is galavanting with the birds of prey, dick is still travelling mostly with the titans but still, Cass is in hong kong, i think steph is dead(?), which leaves tim and jay as the only permanent gotham vigis. Danny steps in every once in a while to help if they need it, and Tim and Alfred move into the penthouse to be closer to the two of them. Damian's appearance brings B and Dick back and alf goes with them back to the manor, eventually Darkseid happens and B gets hit with that omega beam.
Since Tim is Not Dating the king of the dead and his fright knight, people take him seriously about B not being dead. He still goes on BruceQuest, and he still goes alone, but he has backup if he needs it. Battle for the cowl doesn't happen, Jay wants NOTHING to do with batman. Only reason he has a bat on his chest is because it turns him from Just Another Crime Boss to an actual Protector and makes the Community building efforts so much easier and more successful. Dick still waits a little too long to take up the cowl on his own, but once he does it goes fairly smooth. Tim leaves on BruceQuest and ends up isolating himself on accident and gets tangled up with the loa. Still loses his spleen cause im a fan of Making Tim Drake Suffer, but when he calls to check in with Danny and Jay about it Danny joins him invisibly in the LOA. They have a grand old time of making Ra's regret ever trying to manipulate Tim.
To explain why clockwork/danny couldn't just pluck bruce from the timestream and put him back: the Omega energy acts like oil to the water of clockwork's kind if time magic. It cloaks B's presence and makes it so if they tried to pluck him up it would just cause more problems.
If you want b to get his head out of his ass and reconcile with his kids, when he gets back would be a good time to do it. Tim saves his ass and is still like "ueah im still mad at you, this doesn't mean you get your kids back, fix your shit and I might consider it but no promises" and B does, actually, fix his shit about it.
I don't think Jay ever forgives him tho. I think jay (and danny) tolerate him like once or twice a year because Tim does eventually reconcile with him and he is important to tim, so they tolerate him, but they never like the dude.
I think Tim continues to Not Date danny and jay for several years before he finally makes the first move. He still runs WE, that is important to me. He likes to fuck with the tabloids by never clarifying his relationship status to them. It's great.
DPXDC prompt. Dead on main.
Okay, Danny’s revenge for Jason through the Joker murder is fine.
But imagine the wrath of the Ghost King who responds to a call for help from his boyfriend and finds Red Hood with his throat cut and bleeding. Aside from it, there’s a bloody batarang on the roof. And it just pisses the Phantom off. Bat just left main treasure of his core to die.
Danny is still terrified even when Frostbite confirms that Jason will survive. Dan’s future is still fresh in his memory. That’s probably why when the councilman takes him off hospital ward duty to clarify what His Majesty wants as the guarantor of the Peace Treaty with demon race and what price to set for summons from cults Danny answers without a second thought.
Phantom: Batman.
Ghost: From a cult, Your Majesty?
Councillors have long been accustomed to Phantom giving strange requests so that people would not have the opportunity to really summon him.
Phantom: From the cult, from demons, ghosts or elves. Whatever. I need Batman and I need him yesterday. I give any reward to whoever delivers him to me, the price will be fair.
Ghost: Your word is our command.
~~~~~
In Gotham it’s 4 AM when Constantine is calling an emergency Justice League meeting.
'What did you do, Bats?' Shazam asks with undisguised concern.
~~~~~
Bonus points if Jason has to teleport himself directly to the JL space station and stop his feral lover from murder. Yeah, this is definitely not how he planned to reveal who was hiding under the Red Hood.
How about:
Danny recently pledged to AT LEAST one (1) full year with no hero work, in order to lay low, get off the GIW (&others) radar. And to have a much needed break, after closing the portal. The rest of team phantom have Amity covered.
No hero work doesn't necessarily mean no ghost abilities, though. Just no full-on Phantom appearances!
///
Bruce doesn't suspect a thing. Well, he doesn't have much reason to anyway. Nothing turned up in the background check, and not much can get passed a Batman background check. Actually, there was that one thing. Looks like the Fentons come from a town famous for supernatural sightings. But this is good, maybe even perfect, Bruce thinks. Most applicants were either overtly suspicious in some form, or too clean. Bruce gambles on hiring the kid-
-and it pays dividends. Turns out, Danny got used to random bouts of chaos breaking loose back in Amity, and thanks to that he's Mr. Wayne's first P.A. to ever last more than 2 kidnappings.
Eventually, it's Red Hood's turn to rescue Bruce Wayne and his weird assistant. Jason has heard about this guy, and can see that Bruce is obviously relieved to finally retain an employee in that position. Nightwing and Red Robin both seemed to be impressed by the kid's tolerance for "rogue shenanigans", so now Jason is eager to look at the guy himself.
After dealing with a few initial baddies, Red Hood locates where the two hostages are being kept. For some reason, the kid gives Jason a very bad feeling. Despite the fact that he appears to be waiting on a rescue same as Bruce, Fenton almost looks like... He's sitting too comfortably.
Both hostages are handcuffed, with hands behind themselves. The way Danny's arms are bent, however, and the lack of tension in his shoulders, tell Jason that the handcuffs aren't biting into him-- He's picked his way out of the cuffs, and is just holding them on behind his back, likely waiting for their guard to abandon post.
Great. Now Hood has to work double time, in case the P.A. has gotten bold after surviving a few attacks and wants to try something stupid.
... Only that never happens. Danny just faithfully waits out the rogue-event, even puts the cuffs back on(Jason files that under EXTREMELY SUSPICIOUS) before being "freed".
Even MORE baffling, is the fact that when Jason shows up to the Cave later, to interrogate Bruce about what the hell was that and who is this guy, Bruce actually is surprised, and states he "didn't hear him or notice him picking through the cuffs".
((because they never were picked. Danny's wrists were uncomfortable so he just phased through the cuffs halfway for a while))
Jason, armed with an eerie feeling and a hunch that maybe, for once, Bruce really did miss something in the BG check, loops Tim in, who EAGERLY goes on a deep dive into everything about the Fentons, Amity, and whats this? A suspicious millionaire with ties to the government? Get the popcorn, this is getting GOOD.
By the end of the night, Tim is starting to feel like a conspiracy theorist(again), reading article after article, everything seems like it's MISSING some key detail. Like some kind of... Perfect cover-up. A total media-blackout of.... Something?! He still hasn't gotten any good leads!
Introduce the latest rumors, that rogues can schedule their Wayne-nappings but don't you dare cross the P.A., and Tim is about to go hysteric. There's literally no evidence connecting Daniel Fenton to the Joker's mysterious new limp.
To the rest of the Batfam, Tim and Jason look like this:
Tumblr media
PERSONAL ASSISTANT DANNY AU!!!
Amity Park has a lot of strange things going on, and because of that, is notoriously known for paying much attention to anything outside the city limits. So when Danny Fenton gets applies and gets accepted to be the personal assistant for the CEO of Wayne Enterprise, he doesn't think much about moving to Gotham. The pay is ridiculously good, and the benefits? Don't even get him started.
But with supervillains, vigilantes, and way too many kidnappers running amok, Danny's starting to realize why the job's hazard pay was so ridiculously high.
Meanwhile, the rogues of Gotham city are seriously wondering where Wayne managed to get such an insanely strong bodyguard.
