(Also, it’s a different episode, but Lucifer’s big planning session, complete with grandiose opera music and dramatic marker-flinging, is also stunning.)

How I didn’t see this coming with the ridiculousness of the episode I do not know. They got me. And I was on the floor laughing at this reveal.

So is “Daniel Espinoza: Naked and Afraid” a divisive episode? I might need to give it more thought but my first reaction to it was “nah, fuck this.” I had gotten spoiled about Dan’s death before I watched the new episodes but I didn’t know how or in what episode, so you can imagine how much that episode sucked if you knew his death was coming at some point. I kept holding my breath thinking it was going to happen and then when things got weirder and more implausible I thought it might actually be Dan’s hell loop and that broke my heart, so when the ending was just that Lucifer was being an immature dick I was like “ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME????!!!”
