It has just occured to me that, in light of the more recent research in this field, I could ask some *really* provocative questions.

jon gives damian a nice little hug. and tries to fight the urge to bite him (it wouldn't help the vampire theory damian had cooked up).

but it's really hard. because, sometimes you just want to take a chomp into your bestie's shoulder.

he is hesitant to protest to the movement -- at first. he does not understand jonathan's sudden intent for a moment ----- until kryptonian arms are enclosing around him & clasping against his back. here, damian's defenses kick in & bare fingers scrabble desperately to gain purchase against jonathan's frame, to push distance between the pair.

to no avail, his attempts gain him no ground. where cloth meets ( biceps, chest, damian's woolen turtleneck against jon's shoulder ), there is simply warmth. where flesh intersects ( lower arms, jon's neck against damian's ear ), the burning begins.

all that protrudes from damian's throat is a feeble squeak as arms squeeze tight against his ribs. the crushing sensation would be comforting if it were not for the itch of fire ants marching ( biting, nipping as they go ) against, through, in & out of his ear or the buzz of them on his lower arms. it is all he can do not to scream as imaginary flames lap at these key points in their tangled bodies.

he must be losing his mind. the itch, ever present through his young years, prevent damian from ever settling close to anyone, hold him back from touch. he cannot find reference for how a boy could ever feel such a pain: perhaps it is a manifestation of his own guilt, this is the plight given to young boys that swing weapons with deadly precision.

damian pushes against jonathan's grip again, leaning his body towards the freedom of emptiness. this does the trick as arms loosen & the incessant buzzing in his flesh lessens.

he shudders involuntarily at the release, the lack of applied pressure. here, he takes a deep breath to quell the panic completely.

❝ --- you know i hate that, ❞ is all he is able to manage as he continues his deep breaths.

he knows, deep in his chest, if jonathan asked him to endure that pain for eternity: he would without a second thought.

I really think that making their relationship to their fathers a key part of Connor Hawke and Damian Wayne’s characters is a symptom of DC treating biological connections as stronger, not an explanation for why they do.

Roy Harper & Dick Grayson both have very extensive, complicated histories centered on being the mentees and children of Ollie and Bruce respectively. This is largely why I can’t take seriously the argument that DC only highlights Connor & Dami being Ollie & Bruce’s sons “because it’s core to their characters”—not only are their mentors and fathers still very impactful on Roy & Dick’s characters, but also the main reason they’re not as central anymore is because DC gave Roy and Dick a lot of storylines and roles and development independent of their mentors.

I don’t think Connor & Damian being constantly defined by their biological parents is an inherent, fixed feature of their characters. It’s a writing choice, one that could develop and shift if the writers and editors decided to take them in a that direction. The marketing and introductions that fixate on Connor & Damian being Ollie and Bruce’s biological sons are not just symptoms of that being key to their characters. It’s part of the cause. Dami & Connor being the “biological sons” will always remain central to them if DC never stops fixating on it. It’s still central to them because DC fixated on it.

And I strongly believe it’s still annoying af that DC picks the biological kids to emphasize having a connection to their parents while not mentioning that the adoptive kids do too. “Robin: Son of Batman” as if none of the previous Robins have been his son before. “my father” when Damian’s talking to his brothers about Bruce, like Bruce is not their father, too. “this is Roy. And this is Connor, my son” as if Roy is not Ollie’s son, too.

This is not at all to say DC should ostracize Connor or Damian from their families. And being part of the family can still be a big part of their characters. But it would be very nice if DC writers and editors would stop making it so obvious when they think being biologically related makes their relationship stronger and more relevant than all the adoptive relationships. Especially when DC is chock full of found families.

*The underworld will never be the same after today* Bálor thought to himself as his eyes stared at you sitting on his throne. Halloween was always a boring and stupid time of year for Bálor. Well, festivities in general were dumb but this one in particular took the prize. What made it somewhat less painful though was you - you and your bubbly personality and deep love for “spooky things” made this time of the year something Bálor secretly yearned for.

He already lost count of the many different things you had been for Halloween in the years you’ve been together, but this year was by far his all time favorite. This year you are him: The Demon King himself - or should he say herself.

You had carefully matched everything, you’d painted your skin red, white and black, got yourself some fangs, claws, red eyes and even black and crimson hair. You looked equally adorable and frightening sitting on his throne and holding your decapitated human head candy basket.

“My King” Damian bowed before you with a playful smirk on his lips.

You smiled widely and greeted “Damian, my favorite torturer! Trick or treat?” The crinkling sound of candy wrappers being shook inside the basket caught Damian’s attention “I’m not sure if I should-”

“Oh, c’mon! I’m the king aren’t I?” You asked and he nodded in agreement “So go on, get a handful and let’s see what you’ve got”

Damian was reluctant at first, but when you shook the little basket in front of him once again, he finally took a handful of candy.

“Let me see what you’ve got” You clapped excitedly and Damian let you take a peek at what he got

”Uuuhhh, candy corn, Reese's cups, air head, hershey bar…Wow, Damie you got lucky, huh?!”

Damian felt his cheeks burning with embarrassment at your compliment and nickname. He cleared his throat quickly to regain some composure “Thank you, my King. I…I should get back to work now”

“Ok, but tell Rhea she still owes me my Reese’s cups” You spoke as you unwrapped a caramel apple lollipop.

“Ok, I’ll deliver the message” Damian chuckled once his eyes spotted his boss entering the throne room. He bowed to Bálor and quickly made his exit as the true Demon King approached his throne.

“Having fun, sunshine?” He tauntingly raised one eyebrow, instantly making you smirk. “It’s ‘my king’ to you, peasant” You mocked back, using the same words spoken by him when you first met in the middle of your grandparents’ cornfield.

“Apologies, my king” He bowed playfully “Is that better?” The teasing tone continued to coat his voice and features, eliciting a joyful laugh from you.

“I don’t appreciate the sarcasm but yes, it’s better, thank you”

Bálor walked the thirteen steps up that led to his throne and stopped before you, he pulled the lollipop away from your lips to place it inside his mouth. “You know they’ll be unbearable, right?” He smirked and pointed with his head towards the next room, where all the demons and demonesses were gathered around a deadly combo of too much Halloween candy and every kind of alcohol available in the human world.

“Well, that will be a problem for the real Demon King” You innocently smiled before stealing your lollipop back “And rude of you to steal my candy”

“Boo-hoo” Bálor grinned and quickly stole the candy again, making you gasp “You bully!”

You stood up on your feet and looked up at his imposing figure towering above you

“What are you gonna do about that, shortstack?” He patted your head playfully, knowing how much that would annoy you.

“I’m not a shortstack!” You quickly climbed on top of his throne in order to try to gain a few inches to your advantage - but it was pointless, he was still as tall as a tower. “It’s not my fault you’re way taller than Finn and I. And I want my candy back!”

Bálor leaned forward with a grin until his face was mere inches from yours “You want it back? That’s not my problem….shortstack”

“You know I can simply fight you to get it back, no?” Your eyes narrowed and a determined expression settled in your features.

“I’d love to see you try, sunshine” Bálor leaned back and teasingly brushed some imaginary dust off his carved abs. “So, are you up for a fight?” His eyes gleamed with malice and his fangs somehow appeared sharper underneath the fireplace lit room.

Instead of answering him, you tried to get some advantage by jumping on him - but of course he held you in his embrace once your legs clasped around his hips.

“Oh, it’s on, Demon King!” You dared as he took you towards your master bedroom.

Bálor laughed before tossing you on top of the mattress to straddle your hips “I’ve never thought that someday I would have the hots for my impostor but oh well, the more you know”.

cảm nhận của tôi sau khi nghe bon voyage farewell ver.

thứ đầu tiên tôi chú ý là instrumental =)))) tuy tôi không rành lắm về phần nhạc thanh hay gì gì đó tương tự nhưng tôi nghe ra là phần drum nó đầm với trầm hơn một chút so với bản gốc hàn. nên phần dạo đầu lúc vừa mới xong phần lời của yoohyeon thì tôi nghe nó khá là nặng nề, nhưng không sao hết, tại này chưa đủ đô để tôi gọi nó là "nặng" lắm =))))

thứ hai, phần phát âm! Phát Âm! PHÁT ÂM! nhắc lại ba lần!

ôi má ơi cả 7 gái đều phát âm rõ mồn một luôn cơ. riêng yoohyeon, siyeon với dami thì tôi không nói, nhưng tôi bất ngờ nhất là jiu với gahyeon ấy! chắc có lẽ là eng ver nên được chăm kĩ hơn phần phát âm chăng =)))? tóm lại là tôi mê cái cách mấy chị ta hát bằng tiếng anh, nghe nó sang sao ấy kìa =))) (dami rap bằng tiếng anh, khỏi nói, cháy khét lẹt)

tiếp theo là phần edit lyrics. 10 điểm không có nhưng! thích cái cách mấy anh chị editor thêm bé celly vô uwu

riêng về phần lyrics tiếng anh thì tôi không có ý kiến gì hết. dịch rất là hay luôn cơ, lúc tôi vừa coi vừa đọc lyrics thì ôi thôi tôi cảm động dữ lắm, như chạm đến trái tim hẻo lánh cô độc này vậy =)))) với lại sẽ không tránh khỏi việc bị mất từ lúc hát, chủ yếu là do muốn dịch từ hàn sang anh mà vẫn giữ nguyên tiết tấu giai điệu thì khá là khó. nhưng không sao hết, dreamcatcher lo được =)))) mấy chị ta luyến láy thì thôi rồi, cứ gọi là keo mãi thôi!

tuy tôi hơi bất ngờ là quý công ty dcc tung vid ngay tại thời điểm này, nhưng này tôi cũng chịu, quá tầm với rồi =))

nói chung là mừi đỉmmm. chắc mai mốt là tôi sẽ nghe đi nghe lại farewell ver. rồi đó 😩🤘

“Un sorriso per Arezzo”: sport, spettacolo e solidarietà

“Un sorriso per Arezzo”: sport, spettacolo e solidarietà. “Ospite d’onore” il direttore dell'“Eco del Roditore” Geronimo Stilton. Devolute al Calcit per il Progetto Scudo le offerte per i libri di Geronimo Ad Arezzo un’intera giornata di sport, salute, spettacolo e solidarietà. Sarà una vera festa, quella che sabato 16 settembre animerà il parco Pertini con la manifestazione “Un sorriso per Arezzo”, organizzata da Acli in collaborazione con Calcit Arezzo e in associazione con la Fondazione Geronimo Stilton, con il patrocinio di Comune di Arezzo, Fondazione Arezzo Comunità e Asl Toscana sud est. La manifestazione, finalizzata alla divulgazione di valori sociali e alla raccolta fondi a favore del Calcit, avrà tra i propri protagonisti insieme a Geronimo, il topo scrittore, giornalista ed editore più amato dai bambini, una serie di realtà sportive quali Us Acli, Csi, il gruppo sportivo Fiamme Oro. Con loro anche il mondo della Giostra del Saracino che sarà protagonista di alcuni momenti di spettacolo. Significativa la presenza della Polizia di Stato che sarà alla manifestazione con una propria area espositiva dove potranno essere ammirati i mezzi storici provenienti dal Museo delle auto della polizia di Roma nonché i veicoli attuali, in servizio di controllo del territorio e di Polizia stradale ogni giorno sulle strade. La Polizia scientifica sarà presente con il proprio personale e con il veicolo speciale Fullback proveniente dal Gabinetto regionale di Firenze per illustrare le proprie attività. All’evento, anche una squadra cinofili e un team artificieri che organizzeranno esibizioni per i bambini presenti. Parteciperà anche Jacopo Luchini, atleta dei gruppi sportivi Fiamme Oro specialità snowboard paralimpico, vincitore della Coppa del Mondo 2019 di snowboard cross e attuale campione del mondo in carica della stessa disciplina. Nel corso della giornata, ragazzi e adulti potranno inoltre provare le varie attività proposte da alcune associazioni sportive, in particolare la ginnastica ritmica con la Società ginnastica Petrarca, le arti marziali con il Karate club Funakoshi Arezzo 1978, il tiro con l’arco con il Gruppo sportivo arcieri Vigili del Fuoco, il calcio con la società Calcio Petrarca in collaborazione con la Tuscar. Saranno presenti anche gli operatori del Gruppo di volontariato e protezione civile Odv Arezzo – Sop. Numerosi, quindi, gli appuntamenti in programma a partire dalle 10 con le attività ludico-sportive. Introdotto dall’araldo della Giostra, dai rappresentanti dei quattro quartieri e da una esibizione dei Musici, sarà la volta del primo momento di spettacolo di Geronimo Stilton accompagnato dalla sua “creatrice” Elisabetta Dami, seguito dalla consegna delle targhe e degli attestati di riconoscimento ai protagonisti della manifestazione, alla presenza delle autorità. A chiudere la giornata sarà ancora Geronimo Stilton con la seconda parte del suo spettacolo. Inoltre, il simpatico topo, direttore dell’“Eco del Roditore”, sarà presente anche con un gazebo della fondazione dedicato ai libri di Geronimo Stilton, disponibili a fronte di una donazione di 10 euro il cui ricavato verrà devoluto al Calcit per il Progetto Scudo. “Una filiera istituzionale e associativa rilevante e dal grande significato – ha sottolineato il vicesindaco e presidente della Fondazione Arezzo Comunità Lucia Tanti – nata ormai un anno fa quando le Acli hanno proposto un’iniziativa sull’educazione civica e il valore dello stare accanto e assieme, individuando come data iniziale il 14 maggio poi rinviata per maltempo a sabato 16 settembre. Ne è nato un appuntamento grazie al quale Arezzo tende sempre più a qualificarsi come ‘polis’ impegnata nella cura, nella generosità e nella prossimità. ‘Insieme è di più’, quello della Fondazione Arezzo Comunità mi pare lo slogan adeguato”. “Le Acli – ha spiegato Manuela Pisaniello, responsabile alla cultura della presidenza delle Acli di Arezzo – operano per favorire la crescita e l’aggregazione dei diversi soggetti sociali, a partire dalle famiglie, attraverso la formazione e l’azione sociale volta a promuovere servizi, socializzazione e aggregazione. Boses Bosses

Are we really products of the bosses we choose and we don’t choose? CHZ.  This is not about burning bosses to the ground. Ibahin naman natin atake para hindi same old shizummms. I could have talked about AHEB (A Huling El Bimbo) today, but, iniisip ko, next time na because ‘di ko rin naman po-post for a larger audience and may rerun like Mula Sa Buwan but uhmmm. Missed Zsazsa Zaturna because super daming ganaps outside Manila the past weeks.  One thing that I realized is that bosses have more insecurities than their subordinates. Yep. That’s correct. Hindi pa naman ako naging super boss but I have looked after junior na mga around 12 in my past life with my co-heads. Plus managing a pool of writers and editors din. Sama mo pa diyan ‘yung 7-day shoot sa Cambodia, the land of no English, turo-turo lang with a super lean prod team from Pinas. Tapos ‘yung lahat ng kausap mo talaga super work-life balance meaning 5PM tapos na dapat work with long breaks like manood ng football para happy sila. KOLs + team nila na lolollollollololl. Jusq. Dyslexic AF po tayo kaya talagang kahit may mga notes, emails and messages ako sa kanila, UHM. For a time, akala ko pa nga colorblind na rin ako kasi parang naiiba ‘yung mata ko when checking artworks na ‘di calibrated ‘yung screens at times. LOL. Sabi niya, always strive to be a servant leader. Parang shepherd. Also, sa kanya ko rin natutunan ‘yung lessons about the geese pero Blue Eagle siyang nagpunta sa all-girls’ school. LOL. Lastly, siya rin nagsabi sa akin ng quote that goes something like: You don’t plant a tree to enjoy its shade. OPAK. Will talk more about this first mentor, my second dad sa Gemini szn para in time for his birth month. ‘Di ko siya boss pero siya talaga unang naniwala sa akin nung as in walang-wala akong alam sa mundo ng marketing. Sobrang toxic ng accounts niya. Tapos ang coping niya is simple: Umiwas sa stress but know when to put your foot down. OG talaga kasi people are drawn to him. From the CEO to the kuya guards and ate tagahugas ng one too many french presses. Ang galing din netong mag-mitigate ng sunog. Kahit wildfire na, sobrang kalmado niya. As in old rich gaming tapos FilChi pa. Ganda rin lagi ng OOTD niya. Siguro that time, mga 15 years tanda niya sa akin, pero slayiiinnnggg. Also, super generous neto kasi when I told her I’d be resigning, sabi niya, I can do hybrid plus she can give me UA&P masteral. Small company lang kami pero doing better than bigger fashion retail brands. I told her na mom needs me more this time and that I am super thankful sa stint ko sa kanya and marami akong natutunan. Also, I said no sa masteral offer niya kasi it’s too generous if mag-hybrid ako. She wished me well naman din.  The fashion world is my could-have-been game. Kasi ‘yung agency stint ko sobrang far-reaching niya saka events din is fun BUT tiring. Reason naman why I didn’t continue is because mhie, dumating na po ang Uniqlo, Forever21 at mega Adidas franchise noon sa Pinas. So, local brands don’t have a fighting chance kahit pa, lagyan mo nga KPop shizzzummzz and all the fashion week ganaps ang brand mo. :(  And soooo, napunta na tayo sa digital. Research, writing, befriending the bots and the likes. LOL. Fifth boss, naging parang tatay kong sobrang strict AF. HAHAHAHAHA. Mhie, ewan ko ba. Start up ‘to tapos sobrang ni-try ko lang sa JobStreet kasi wala namang mawawala ‘di ba? Try lang. Syempre, honest tayo na wala tayong alam except sa online selling + socmed + website nung previous org ko. Ganun lang. Did you know that back in 2010, you can easily earn 15-20K a month sa online selling? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Malinis ‘yun. Takehome tapos nasa bahay ka lang and doing your shit. Mas malaki pa sa mga unang pay ng ibang juniors. :D Tapos, I can look after mom pa. ‘Pag naman copywriting and pitch decks, 1 project starts from 5K to 20K din depending sa budget at nego skills mo? LOLOLOLLOLLOLL. So, swerte din kasi may access tayo sa ganitong gig economy. Email mo lang, a few F2F meet pacute, then poof. Game na. Basta may laptop + decent connection ka ng DSL. Pero, looking back, sobrang nakita ko na flat orgs make the dream, the KPI, work and work hard. LOL.  Kung sukatan naman ng deadlines, ‘yung old website namin na chumawmaw na ngayon pero may laban pa rin naman, Dec. 24 namin naianak. Kape, yosi, inom, North Park, work, work, sunog, patay sunog, repeat.  Tawang-tawa pa ako kasi eto rin ‘yung time na may opportunity akong maging blogger/content creator slanted sa plus sized fashion. Boss ko is not a fan of KOLs. Ako naman, na-invite previously sa very few events. As a sort of tatay, sabi niya, ingat sa content creator’s world. Alam ko naman din ‘yun. Gusto ko lang siyang iprobe. Honestly, content creation is not difficult kahit noon, at lalo ngayon. Pero, curating content and distributing it ---’yan ‘yung talagang ball game at warzone na rin. ‘Di ko naman tinuloy itong blogging kasi I don’t like seeing pics of me. HAHAHAHA. Apaka babaw po. Pero, isama mo na rin diyan ‘yung whatever you publish is meant to be consumed by the public. Public trial lalo sa Pinas where socmed is chizmiz hub. ‘Di rin ako fan ng KOLs kasi iba pa rin ‘pag ikaw mismo naka-discover and nakapag-assess kung ang isang brand ay for you or not for you. Don’t get me wrong, content creators give you option, pero don’t be a passive content consumer. GIGO --garbage in, garbage out. Ganernnnn.  PS: Wala akong bylines masyado. Tanga ko ba? Kahit Herman Miller po ang patake home nila, at the end of the day, upuan pa rin ‘yan. Kahit nakabangko ka, puwede kang magtawid ng deadlines at magpatay ng sunog. I have this friend whom I met when I was still in Highschool. Friendster was the largest socmed platform that time. Yung tipong pabonggahan kayo ng themes and background music.

Anyways, I met her thru a chatbox. Isa din yung socmed platform. Admin ako ng isang chatbox non. Admin-Moderator to be exact kasi gumagawa ako ng so called 'banners' non. Idk how to explain that chatbox bsta mga tinyurl eme eme before. So ayun na nga madami akong nasalihan non na chatbox and isa akong editor ng banners non. Ginawa kong sideline yun while meeting new friends. There nga I met BITS. Madami rin akong maging friends nun na up until sumikat na yung fb e naging kausap ko parin sila nauso din GC non. So up until now, si Bits lang yung nakakausap ko sakanila. So maybe you're wondering bakit Bits yung tawagan namin kasi nung time nayon talaga patok na patok yung CALLSIGNS.

Lagi lagi kami magkaSKYPE non. As in almost everyday. After class, after dinner, especially weekends.

Hanggat sa parang na ban yata yung chatbox namin non kaya we lost connections sa mga iba naming friends don pero kaming dalawa e hindi padin.

Dumating nalang din yung time na bihira nalang kami magusap and dahil nadin college, busy days ganon. Pero from time to time pag may free time e talagang nagkakamustahan kami until now pero sobrang bihira nalang talaga.

Napa share lang ako ngayon kasi napakasarap magkaroon ng 'internet friend' never pa kami nagkita lahit ang dami naming plano. Btw, She has a cutie litol family now. Nagsheshare parin siya sakin mg rants niya and napakasarap sa feeling na kahit hindi na kami ganon ka naguusap, comfy padin siya mag share sakin e vinavalue talaga niya friendship namin. Napakasarap sa feeling na anjan parin siya handang makinig din sakin at ako parin yung binabalikbalikan niyang kaibigan.

Sana lahat ganon no? Oo, wala namang perpekto pero ang sarap kasi sa feeling na yung dati mong kaibigan e kaibigan mo parin hanggang ngayon.
