I think it could have been really funny if the League could've possibly been a music band and they were unaware the entire time.

To stop Shigaraki from clawing his entire skin off (gotta keep your future vessel in one piece, after all) AFO got Shigaraki a guitar and told him to express his hatred of humanity by playing evil music. (and for god's sake, Tomura, stop breaking your monitors!..)

Spinner's parents got him a bass guitar as a birthday present. He used to be very passionate about learning, before his depression led to him abandoning this hobby. and then he and Shigaraki gush at each other over playing LOL and playing guitar

Toga was in a music club for two years during high school. She joined because her crush was in this club and she wanted to be closer to them but ended up genuinely loving playing the keyboard.

Touya had started a habit of singing during the Sekoto years, to keep his mind off his loneliness. It became therapeutic to him and sometimes, when he felt too hopeless to continue training, he went to Sekoto, where no one could hear him just to sing. He still sings occasionally but will cremate himself on spot if he notices someone heard him. it's been 11 years and he still hasnt been able to accept this ruined, raspy voice as his own

Mister Compress' fancy family background provided him with training in playing the violin and piano. He is a bit rusty but when they get PLF's resources he jumps on the first chance to refresh his skills.

Twice had a music band of... Twices. He is proficient in pretty much everything, even if it's even harder to get him to play than it is to get Dabi to sing with an audience around. Music was something to do with his made-up company that wasn't doing crime, and he has very bittersweet memories about it. With the League for company though? He could've grown to love it again.

I have been OBSESSED with a music based BNHA NoQuirks!AU for a couple of years now and I had to share...

Basically I've heard specific songs/artists and go "that's totally *specific characters* vibe" and have built a world around that and how I think each character would find catharsis through music. Drabbles for the "main" cast under the cut

Dabi/Touya Todoroki: Ran away from home as a teenager to upset his parents (his dad), but they didn't care. Specifically, they never reported it because Enji and Rei were caught up in their pending divorce and they figured he would come home eventually. He ends up joining a band (the LOV of COURSE) as their singer. His vibes are based off McCafferty and CORPSE.

Shoto Todoroki: His parents divorce gets REALLY ugly and through a weird chain of events he ends up under Touya's custody. He ADORES his rebellious brother and follows in his footsteps like a shadow (Touya says he hates it, but secretly is happy). He joins Bakugo's band after their original singer leaves. His vibes are Sub Urban and AFI.

Katsuki Bakugo: Same as cannon, his parents signed him up for drumming lessons to get out his excess energy. Started a band with Undercut-kun in middle school, but Bakugo took it WAY more seriously than his friends did. Eventually Undercut and Co walked out, leaving Bakugo to find new members in high school. His vibes are Blessthefall and NP.

Eijiro Kirishima: Wanted to become a musician to inspire people, just like his Idol Crimson Riot inspired him. He can sing, but gets embarrassed by his voice, so he sticks to the bass guitar when at all possible. Is part of Bakugo's band OFC. His vibes are Too Close To Touch and Dance Gavin Dance.

Hitoshi Shinso: Laid back and devil may care attitude. His foster fathers (Aizawa) are a promoter/manager and (Hizashi) a radio DJ. He has been dragged around the industry for years. Learns to play the guitar after meeting Bakugo and joins his band. His vibes are Current Joys.

Izuku Midoriya: In this AU he lives with his father, while his mother is in "America". His dad is pretty uninvolved with Izuku, and he still gets bullied in elementary and middle school. Izuku ends up turning to poetry as an outlet and falling in love with music. He has performance anxiety and selective mutism, so he would rather produce music. But when he does perform it's like the heavens open up. His vibes are Alec Benjamin and Cavetown.

Ochaco Uraraka: She is conflicted in her decision to get into music. She wants to become rich enough to buy her parents a house and take care of them, but she also knows that the music industry is not nice to the 99% that are not uber famous. Her vibes are Billie Eilish and Poppy.

Others in this AU include: Hawks, Jirou, Yamomo, Mina, Sero, Toga, Camie, and Kaminari. I may post another list of drabbles about them.

I was planning to post other headcanons before going for these, BUT I’ve got some for Rockstar!Touya that are pestering my mind these days and your asks come in the right moment, so bear with me please 🤧

The first time Touya knew that he wanted to become a rockstar was in middle school, right at the age of thirteen, his influent CEO of a father was trying to mold him into a carbon copy of himself to rival Yagi Toshinori’s Enterprise. While taking a break from studies, he saw his sister watch on TV a rock concert of “Loudness” and to say Akira Takasaki is his role model is the least. That’s a true legend to him.

After “Loudness” and Akira Takasaki, he discovered “Metallica” and Kirk Hammett which made him go like “HOW??? HAVE??? I??? MISSED??? ALL??? THIS???”, scolding himself for taking so long to fall in love with the electric guitar and its sound. The next week he’s blasting full volume “The Final Countdown” by Europe inside the Todoroki Mansion like the good old stamp rock fanatic he is, getting himself scolded and grounded by Enji who is a fan of traditional Japanese music so yeah…

At one of the Todoroki family gatherings during the weekend, he was scrolling down his phone looking first of all where to take guitar lessons and second for a guitar to buy, but he knew his father would never agree to get him one. That’s when his grandfather, peeking at his grandson’s phone, butted in and asked Touya if he’s interested in music. He wasn’t sure if it was a good thing to answer that question, since he’s the father of his father, but he did and hell has it been the best thing he did!

On his fourteenth birthday, Enji’s father bought Touya his very first electric guitar, a good old Fender Stratocaster CUSTOM MADE for him. It’s snow white like his hair and has a his name engraved on the bottom left side of the guitar, while on the other side there were engraved tiger’s fangs, all in turquoise… The color of his eyes. And this has been by far Touya’s best birthday ever.

After finishing Middle School he choose to attend an Art School, taking the music classes as main classes of course; he may or not have done it to piss off and raise Enji’s blood pressure from how mad he got for choosing something different from Finances and Management. Oh his father was livid and Touya was so proud of himself for that.

He has formed a rock band, of which he’s the guitarist and vocalist, with Tenko Shimura (Bassist&Vocalist) and Shuichi Iguchi (Drummer) called “The Villains”… Are we even surprised about this name? Really? Because I am not. Tenko suggested, Iguchi supported strongly and Touya just went with it because complaining and thinking about another name was “Too much effort”. He likes it a lot but will never admit it.

At the age of nineteen, Touya owns a Fender Stratocaster (Custom Made), an Elite Stratocaster, an ST-83-80 Japan (1983) black, Lone Star Strat, IC350 black, IC50 black, ICHI00 white, Gibson SG Standard mahogany and a Jackson Pro Series DK Modern HT6 MS. He also owns four acoustic guitars for songwriting, like a Martin GPC-X1E, Martin 000-28 Modern Deluxe, Taylor GS Mini-e Rosewood SN LTD and a Taylor AD22e. Did he pay all them with Enji’s credit card? Hell yeah. Did he do it out of spite? Absolutely. Did he care about his father’s blood pressure rising even more? Not even remotely.

His favorite groups are Loudness, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Europe, Scorpions, Slipknot, Three Days Grace, Green Day, Skillet, Linkin Park, The Rasmus, L’Arc-En-Ciel, UVERworld, Nirvana, Guns N’ Roses and Evanescence to list some, because there are many more he adores honestly. He isn’t a picky ear as long as the song gives him chills and inspires him, being someone who’s driven by emotions that’s what makes him likes something he hears.

Atsuhiro is their homeroom teacher, at the Art University they attend, who introduces them to Giran, a friend of his, who has an agency for new talents and after they sent him six of their songs wants to launch their very first album by August to make them debut at the “Rock In Japan Fes.”

Touya, being the emotional driven type of musician, is the one put to write the lyrics for the band’s songs and most of the times are hits, especially because his and Tenko’s voice brings to life the emotions of the lyrics in a way that it reaches the listeners right into the heart and soul.

You will never catch Touya’s fingers empty, there’s always rings decorating them and some rings are even custom made by his cousin Geten, who owns a Jewelry shop that he promotes a lot on his social media. One of his most precious rings is the one that he got made for him, with his birthstone carved in it, when he turned eighteen.

He has three earrings on his right ear: an helix, mid helix, conch and low helix. Four on his left one: two helix, a low helix and one on the lobe, plus three nostril piercings on the right side of his nose.

After “The Villains” debuts and proving his father that he could succeed through music without his help nor his name, Touya owns now a black card that he lets Fuyumi and Shoto use to their heart content.

Last, but not least, be ready to be the muse of Touya’s songs the instant he falls head over heels for you. The moment it happens everything, and I mean everything, to him becomes about you driving Tenko and Iguchi to pure exasperation.

okay this prompt except its not awwww cute baker au! inspired by my old job, it was a bit miserable but i try to look back on it fondly

bakugou’s one of the bakers, almost always opening at 6am. there's a rare occasion where you're scheduled to open with only him and he's there early, prepping the dough with faint classical music playing in the background. opening shifts with him (and shifts in general) can be quite nice because he tends to mind his own business while you cover the counter, but you have walked in to him yelling at denki for leaving the scones in the oven for too long. i would say he’s pretty quiet when he bakes as long as no one else gets in his way. feel free to talk about whatever as he bakes because for you, he’ll silently listen. for anyone else, he’s complaining that they’re distracting him- unless! two people are talking mad shit or gossiping on the clock, he’s secretly listening in.

saturday morning opening shifts are your favorite because the two baker and two counter combo is almost always bakugo, kirishima, mina, and you. the reason why you put up with the miserable opening hours is because kiri and mina loveeeee to gossip about everything they’ve learned throughout the week between your coworkers and bakugou chimes in with additional information that no one else knew. you guys are surprised every time but he just shrugs it off.

kirishima is a sweetheart who does all the tasks that you don’t want to do. ask him to cover mopping tonight? done. need the stack of 50 sheet trays carried to the back? he’s taking care of it. he’s normally baking in the morning but he’ll close from time to time and you always know you’ll be out early when you see his name on the schedule.

denki takes closing shifts more often because he likes to call dibs on the pastries that didn't sell that day. he works at the counter more than baking,,, we all know why.. but he insists he can do either!! for everyone’s sake, especially the customers, you stick him behind the register.

i do think large group orders freak denki out so you have to stand next to him and help him ring them up every time. you really can't tell if he's pretending for the sake of having you by his side or if he genuinely can’t do it. (its a bit of both)

you guys have a closing checklist where you have to sign your name next to every cleanup task after completion but you and denki both hate doing the same things. so he’ll be a pain in the ass and sign his name prematurely on random tasks so you’ll get stuck on mopping duty. sorry. this is getting self indulgent but your personal favorite task is to take the chalk board advertisement for the bakery back inside at the end of the day. after a 7 hour shift, its a nice thirty second walk outside. somehow denki finds out that you love that task so he starts beating you to it. its gotten to a point where someone will innocently ask if anyone's taken in the sign for the night and there's a split second where you guys look at each other before immediately racing out the front door to see who can get to it first.

shouto is a gentleman!!!!!! he’s always there in the daytime, takes the 9-4 shifts mostly. hired as a baker but he took the counter once and he really charmed those old ladies popping in for their morning muffin so he’s kinda been defaulted to the front. you’ve been guilty at handing the phone to him when a wholesale order has gotten too confusing and he’ll kindly take over. he’s become the face the regulars see the most when they walk in due to the nature of his shift times.

you mostly catch shouto for an hour or two when you work closing shifts, coming in around 2. some nights, by the time you realize you need to take out the trash, its already dark outside. the dumpster walk isn’t necessarily far, but its not pleasant nor does it feel very safe. but when you go to check the trash, you realize shouto silently took them out before he got off his shift a few hours ago so you didn’t have to walk out in the dark. he’s never scheduled closing shifts, but if someone needs it covered + he sees that you're the other closer, he’s quick to offer. walks you back to your car too.

there’s a coffee shop in the same shopping complex that your bakery is friendly with. by the end of the night, any leftover pastries get put into a ziplock and handed over to them in exchange for a free coffee. the mysterious barista who’s name tag reads ‘dabi’ is always the one to thank you for bringing over the treats and making your latte. he knows exactly what you're gonna get every time he sees you walking up to the front of the cafe. he sends you off every night with a wink and your coffee in hand

(you aren’t aware that dabi is related to shouto at all. its never been brought up and they're mostly on different shift schedules. so when shouto hears about your closing night exchanges, he starts shifting his schedule just so he can accompany you. and to keep an eye on his brother to make sure he’s not going to pull anything funny.)

additional all might as my boss: early morning opening shifts are your worst enemy just because you cannottt be bothered to wake up earlier than noon, so when you do, you come in having just woken up ten minutes before. your boss catches you one morning and stops you for a ten minute rant about how you should be more confident with your bare face! and makeup is a social construct, so feel beautiful with yourself!! and you think its sweet but you didnt even notice how you weren’t even wearing the usual makeup look. thanks greg. i guess. he means well.
