- itafushi: literally my number one ship ever. they make me so fucking emo. the tragedy of what couldn’t have been prevented. i pray for itafushi moments in the jjk manga but every time it happens it is somehow worse than the last. peace 🙏

- yutamaki: they mean so much to me. i love them both platonically and romantically! their moments in jjk0 are super sweet and i love that they’re always supporting each other 🥹

- satosugu: this is a ship i’ll put in a blender. i don’t usually think of them but when i do i want to throw up blood. they’re the cause of all my problems. i love them. they are so my tears ricochet core

- kunichuuzai: i’m cheating here because i love all individual pairings in this ship AND the poly ship. especially kunichuu which crept up on me and slapped me in the face. chuuya being downbad for kunikida is GREAT. they are so good when you dont have toxic shippers breathing in your ear about how one is better than the other ❤️

- tachigin: do u ever think about how they’re both liars. how they both have a hidden identity. how they both found family within the mafia not as the person they really are, but as the person they pretended to be. how the betrayal felt like when tachihara dropped his mask. OUGH

- adashi: haha. my first experience with being queerbaited. they buried the gays before the gays even had lines. i was so upset about adam that i consumed an insane amount of fan content and then wrote 10k words in one sitting. thats how upset they made me

- romellura: the gfs ever. the writers screwed allura over so every ship i have for her is… very fan-based. but i’ll protect them with my SOUL. the softness of meeting someone who knows EXACTLY the kind of loss you felt. finding comfort and home in each other.

- veracxa: sorry one more. VERACXA IS SO GOOD AND SO UNDERRATED. lance and veronica having the same taste is so funny. also love that veronica went out of her way to make acxa feel welcome. and their matching judgy stares. the older sister and sister in law. i KNOW lance was sweating

There's the sound of the TV buzzing; it's static noise. Then there's the sound of laughter; it makes Langa feel giddy. 

Reki looks so beautiful under the fluorescence of the lights.

And the laughter that carelessly spills from his lips (that Langa wants to kiss so badly-) are like wind chimes ringing in his ears.

Langa moves closer, closer to take a better view of Reki, to see Reki, and just him.

See the way his eyes crinkle when he shuts them to stop the happy tears that try to slip through. See the smile lines stretching on the corners of his mouth. See the freckles dancing high on his cheeks. See his lashes caress the unblemished honey-tan skin under his eyes.

Rose blooms on the apple of his cheeks when his lips curve into a smile.

"Langa," a teasing voice calls him and Langa knows he has been caught. "You're staring!"

But can Reki fault him, if he really is? When he is such a lovely sight to look at? Langa finds himself drawn, like a moth to the flame.

And he let's the fire of the crimson orbs consume him.

"I'm not," he still tries denying, despite being caught red-handed, and he knows Reki doesn't buy it when he sees mischievousness glint in his eyes. The smile sent his way tells him he isn't subtle in his actions.

"You don't have to hide it Langa," Reki says when he's not looking at him anymore. His gaze is back on the blaring TV screen but Langa's sure he isn't really watching, when he notices the redness of his face.

"Stare all you want! I don't mind." Reki chuckles and nervousness creeps into his light voice.

"I like the way you look at me," he confesses when he finally turns towards Langa but his gaze is still downcast. He refuses to meet ocean eyes that pull him under the tides; he's willing to let go of the anchor holding him.

Langa thinks, but does Reki know? That he is the only one Langa really looks at?

"Won't you look at me Reki?" And his eyes snap up to his in an instant. Reki thinks his voice is magic, else why does he do everything Langa tells him to? He finds himself incapable of saying no to Langa.

"You like the way I look at you?" The redhead is pulled into a hug. "You're the only one I would rather stare at."

"What's so interesting about me?"

"Everything," Langa doesn't hesitate, and it's enough of an answer for Reki.

"But it's not just about you. It's you. You are interesting. And..."

"And...?" Reki can't hide the tremor that rocks his body when Langa tightens his embrace and presses his face to the crook of his neck.

"And...I like you Reki." 'More than just like, actually.'

Reki, who holds the stars in his eyes

And the sun in his smile.

"Good."

"That's all you're going to say?" Langa feels nervous. Did he read the signs wrong?

"Is there more?" Reki fakes obliviousness. But he hopes Langa doesn't take his teasing the wrong way. He can see the panicked look on him already.

"Aren't you supposed to say that....you like me back?" Langa catches onto Reki's game.

"Am I? How confident." He sees the growing smirk.

"You aren't saying no..." 

"I'm not." Reki agrees easily.

"But you aren't saying it back either." Reki knows he's walking on thin ice. As thin as Langa's patience was getting.

"Say back what?" 

"Reki! You know." Langa isn't pouting. Nope! Definitely not.

"Do I?" But Reki can see Langa is pouting and he doesn't want him to stop anytime soon.

"Reki-" The redhead pulls himself from his embrace and holds his face in gentle reverence. Reki's face is too close. A kiss won't be too far-

"Make me," commands a whisper in his ear.

Langa feigns a tired sigh. But he knows just what to do to make those words spill from his lips.

"As you wish," Langa brings them down- Reki's back presses against the velvety fabric of the couch- and kisses him breathless.

And it's enough to make Reki say, "I like you too Langa. Now stop! It's tickling me!"

But Langa would rather not.

You and the entire group looked over the island and marveled at the vibrant island. You picked up your skateboard and looked down the road.

"Last one to the hotel pays everyone else 500 yen!" You pushed it to the ground before jumping on top and skating away. Everyone followed after you, yelling at you.

"Hey! Get back here! That wasn't fair!" Reki shouted.

"Just keep up, slime boy." Miya sighed.

"They're so fast..." Langa's eyes widened as he watched you skate.

Kojiro and Karou caught up to you, and you looked up at Kojiro, giving him a disappointed look.

"Um... where's your shirt?"

"Eh, don't need it."

You sighed, turning to Karou.

"He needs to show off his chest." He mumbled, "Such a thirsty gorilla."

"Who's thirsty?!"

You crouched down, sensing that they would start fighting, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire.

You and the others looked at the map, trying to find the hot springs. You smirked at the others.

"You guys wanna have another race?"

They exchanged looks before returning your smile. You all mounted your boards as Karou counted down. When he reached zero, you all launched off. Karou and Kojiro went in one direction, while you, Miya, Langa, and Reki went in the other direction.

As you guys kept racing, you thought about a poster you had seen earlier. Something about a legend or other.

You turned around and saw Reki and Langa trailing after you, and you cocked your eyebrow.

"Hey, dorks!"

They looked up at you and exchanged looks.

"Yeah?" Reki asked.

"What's wrong?" Langa managed to get closer to you.

"Where's Miya?"

Reki turned around and tried looking around. "Huh? Where di-"

A strong smell was immediately noticed and something nearly grabbed Reki. It was dripping with mud and some landed on his sleeve, but he managed to move out the way and moved closer to you two.

"What was that?!" Langa asked, eyes widening.

"I don't know, but move!"

You three leaned forward, trying to pull yourselves further down the hill. A sharp turn left made and it caused Reki to trip off his board. You and Langa turned around and saw him get dragged away by a muddy, smelly figure.

"Reki-"

"Go on! I'll be fin-"

He was dragged into some bushes, leaving you and Langa to look at each other.

"We need to go back for him!"

"No, we need to get the adults so they can help us." Langa said, leading you on a secret path that eventually had you two end up at the springs.

You two rushed through the building, hoping that Joe and Cherry were already there. You both agreed on splitting up and looked around the springs.

Langa went over to the locker rooms and looked around.

"Cher-... Mr. Sakurayashiki? Mr. Nanjo? Are you two in here?"

He looked around, looking in various areas and stalls, trying to find them. He heard the door open and looked towards it.

"You guys...?"

You walked around the lobby, trying to find the door to the springs. You looked around, making sure no one was around. You stepped outside and saw the two men were arguing with each other about something.

"Mr. Sakurayashiki! Mr. Nanjo!" You ran towards them, waving your arms.

Karou turned around to see you.

"Y/N? What are you doing here?"

"Okay, so while we were racing, me and the other guys went down one path and Miya got lost! That wasn't too odd, but then this like- muddy hand or something tried to grab Reki! Then, he accidentally fell off his board and then he was dragged away!"

"Where's Langa?" Joe asked, turning towards you.

"He and I split up trying to find you. I think he was in the locker rooms-" You froze, smelling the same thing that you smelled when Reki was taken.

"What in God's name is that-"

You all turned around and something leap at you three, causing you all to scream.

This ship gets way too much hate, most ppl saying it's pedophilia but lumine and aethers ages are confirmed to be over 500 years if it were pedophilia i think Childe would be the victim lmfao. They are literally so cute they have the enemies to lovers cliché which is basic but I love it. This ship is also so good for angsty fanarts and fics.

XIAOVEN (XIAO X VENTI - GENSHIN IMPACT)

To be fair I haven't been indulging in this ship in a while but it's gotta be my favorite Venti or Xiao ship. This ship is also extremely viable with angst. This is ship is so innocent too I love it 💕

RENGA (REKI X LANGA - SK8 THE INFINITY)

Im pretty sure the ENTIRE sk8 fandom ships this lmao. They're just perfect for each other. They complete each other. Gay skater boys what more could i say

IZUOCHA (IZUKU X OCHACO - MY HERO ACADEMIA)

Well they're canon so like i gotta ship it. Deku's flustered moments are so amusing to watch imo. I literally rewatch everytime uraraka gets jealous bc deku is literally surrounded by other girls for no reason. They're friendship is also adorable i might even be ok if they didn't up being confirmed canon relationship.

BAKUDEKU (KATSUKI X IZUKU - MY HERO ACADEMIA)

In comes the toxicity??? Idk I'm still kinda new to the BnHA fandom but ik the fandom is super toxic abt bkdk vs izuocha or just ships in general. But how could I NOT ship this??? As a multishipper i feel obligated to ship anything that works and is cute. I don't even know which deku ship i like better, it's the same as how i can't choose who my favorite character is (bakugo or todoroki??) But yeah bkdk dynamic is like friends to enemies to friends to lovers or something even more complicated lmao. Idk why but I see a lot of fics and edits that are like angsty?? Like deku likes kacchan but kacchan likes Kiri (｡•́︿•̀｡) or baku likes deku but deku is looking at uraraka (ᗒᗩᗕ)

Tbh this isn't rlly an OTP anymore but it used to be. Like a year ago. The ship is still super cute tho Xiao is protective but not in a possessive way like Childe whos a possessive yandere and will personally chop you into pieces if you so much as look at her for a second too long... Why am I making this abt chilumi now NO. The traveler is the only one Xiao opens up to which is cute, traveler is the only "mortal" he responds to.

TODOMOMO (SHOTO X MOMO - MY HERO ACADEMIA)

Idk they're just cute yk. They have the rich power couple vibes, they both got into UA through recommendations. They are literally each other's biggest fans and of all todoroki or yaomomo ships this makes the most sense.

Not really an OTP but they are cute. I think I might ship it more if i didn't know how things end up with shinobu. It's cute when shinobu teases tomioka and tomioka is just so clueless abt everything i love giyu i ship giyu x me /j

TANKANA (TANJIRO X KANAO - DEMON SLAYER)

There isn't that much canon content fueling this ship but I always have the fanarts which make me ship everything even more... i didn't finish the manga but I do know that it's implied that they end up together and have grandchildren, but that last episode from season one Kanao was totally feeling something prove me wrong. Kanao reminds me of myself.. docile :(

I saw some pretty hot takes on Eden lately and I just needed to vent.

I don't understand why Eden is /this/ badly received by the fandom (the whole fandom, even from Adam fans), and that, if you ship Eden, you must do it in secret or attach a post scriptum to say that yes, you ship Eden but, like, in a toxic relationship interpretation.

I have a very long history of shipping toxic and unhealthy age gaps ships, and I absolutely love this kind of dynamics if written correctly. I made my fair share of posts in the past rambling about the proper way to portray unhealthy relationships and not romanticise them (as well as saying that liking bad in fiction doesn't equal to condoning it in canon but we're not even in this territory with sk8).

However, that's not the case with Eden. We could argue that the relationship kind of starts like this (but it's up to discussion, in my opinion) but how it becomes post canon is the farthest from that kind of dynamics. I could understand where this is coming from from someone who doesn't like Adam and makes him to be Everything Bad That's On Earth, but I also see this kind of reaction from Adam's fans and it's a bit weird to me.

It's clear that Adam has romantic, arguably sexual, feelings for Langa. He makes it very clear during the course of the show and also in post-canon material (i.e. referring to the sk8 six group as "Langa and the (5) others" twice). I saw some people saying that Eden relies on an Adam's interpretation that it's not supported by canon, but I feel like these interactions and banters (VA event, DVD package box, him still showering Langa with flowers in the post credit scene) show otherwise.

Moving onto Langa, since I also saw a lot of people surprised that, wow, Langa seems to reciprocate??? At least it's better than people still thinking that Langa would ever reject Adam's advances in canon. This is probably a point that's very dear to me, since it's actually the basis as to why I think Eden places miles away from the toxic relationships above. The dynamics in these relationships usually goes that the older one coerces the younger and more naive one with something and exploits them in a way. Then, the younger one usually reacts and a new dynamics establishes in the couple. It's a cool thing to explore in fiction, but, again, not an Eden thing in the slightest.

First of all, Langa already is into skateboarding before meeting Adam. He didn't make Langa interested in skateboarding so he could approach him, he just saw him multiple times and only after that he decided to approach him.

When they meet for the first time, Adam isn't very much different than he usually is at S. He's still the extravagant, arrogant and self-confident legend of S. That is to say, he's not trying to appear different in Langa's eyes to install a false sense of security. Adam straight up claims him to be his prize and not only Langa isn't put off by that but this also makes him want to skate more against the other. If he wasn't genuinely interested in Adam, he would've been put off by this behaviour (like Reki is). In fact, Reki skates against Adam to prove a point, Langa skates against him because he wants to, no reasons needed. Again, during the recent VA event, after re-enacting some of the pivotal scenes in the series, Reki states that it's peaceful without Adam (his va wasn't present at the event) and Langa ~immediately~ says that he would have wanted to see some of Adam's scenes. That's not what you say about someone you don't like XD

He probably doesn't realize that Adam calls him Eve for a while, but when he does, Langa doesn't look weirded out or annoyed by it. He is surprised by it. And it's hard to think that he didn't get the reference when someone named Adam calls him Eve. I don't want to say that he agrees to be Adam's Eve, of course, but he's fine with it. Like he's fine with Adam giving him roses and his violent behaviour in general.

Talking about violent behaviour, he's never angry with him when Adam gets violent. He understands that such are the rules of S and during the last episode Utsumi said that she wanted them to fight with fists so she thinks that Langa would be fine with getting violent too (but after the Famous RinHaru Scene I see why she'd think that...) but that's just speculation. In ep 5, he just wants to skate with him, full stop. But also, even after seeing Adam getting extremely violent with Reki in ep 11 he's not actually angry or wants revenge. Instead, he's bent on wanting to know Adam better and teaching him the fun in skating. He rooted for Reki because he wanted to skate against him in a beef for sure but also bc he thought that the message could get across Adam even if delivered by Reki but when it didn't he wanted to do it himself. If Langa was being exploited by Adam, or groomed, or anything, he would've woken up after the Renga makeup. But, oh well, he didn't. That's because Eden was never meant to be abusive. That's not the face you show to your abuser.

Him and Tadashi are the only one in the series with the balls of actually calling out to Adam when he goes out of line. Joe does it in ep 11, but only because he's afraid for Reki's safety. Langa has no problems with flashing Adam an annoyed gaze when he smokes instead of skating against him, and has no problem calling out his bs in ep 12. I'm p sure that if he knew about Adam's warped conception of love, he'd call out on that too. He is able and has the agency of standing up to him and he's not a passive part in the relationship. Very much different from toxic relationships, where making the other unable to react (or them escaping from such a situation) is one of the main points of the dynamics.

There are countless ways Eden could go wrong and get toxic (the last ep showed us a pretty good example when they both got in the zone), but Reki teaching Langa the fun in skating prevented it. In a way, Reki made healthy Eden possible, but we're not ready to have this kind of talk yet XD

Wonderful pair! Gaara will spend like 80% of their time together just watching Naruto excitedly talking about anything and it'll be the happiest moment of his life, this guy is a big sap. People have thought that the meeting of Five Kages happened more frequently these days, especially after they announced that they're together, but... probably just some weird coincidence, eh?

(Every meeting is basically just the Kages talking about real stuff for 5 minutes and the rest is watching Gaara making love-love eyes to Naruto. The other Kages are conflicted because they're annoyed but also don't have the heart to tell them off)

2. Spiritshipping

I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with them, sorry! I only watched like 10-ish episodes of GX so it's still ridiculously early in the series and I haven't meet Jesse yet... That one just doesn't really capture my interest since I skipped straight to 5Ds 😅

3. Asheiji

Ah, another amazing "foreigner getting enamored by the cute Japanese boy" pair, absolutely amazing. Truly love that last episode when Ash finally decided to go to Japan with Eiji and opening cat cafe together! What a cute couple ❤❤

(What do you mean that's not what happened? It absolutely does, I know it! Ash tell me this myself!)

All jokes aside, BF was a truly wonderful seriesーexxept for that last eps, of course. A lot of people have already said how unfair it is to Ash so I won't say anything more. I really love how Eiji always tried his best to be with Ash, like he's not trying to forcefully change him or anything, he's simply there with Ash. Tragic and beautiful 🥲

4. Renga

Ah I've seen so many amazing fanart of them but I haven't watched the anime yet! It's just that the anime aired when I was a bit busy so I keep putting it off... until now ajzkksks. I'll probably watch it someday, I saw everyone getting hyped every week on twitter so I'm looking forward to it!

5. Konami

Phenomenal. These two have a soft spot for me, because it's literally one of the very few series with lgbt characters that manage to be aired on my country. I had so much fun shoving the official comic to some of my classmates who insist that these two aren't canon ahah

I really love the fact that Asami is a non-bender and yet played a very big part in the series! Also really love how she appeared very mature but is actually really impulsive and has her own brand of wild. Honestly, Korra goes out of her little world and immediately met this fierce, beautiful woman... no wonder she ended up falling headfirst into her ❤

6. Kagehina

I don't personally ship anyone on Haikyuu, but they're cute, yeah! Literally speedrunning enemy to rival to partner in one episode ajzjsjsj it was so funny. They're also the classic grumpy with sunshine couple and you almost can't go wrong with that.

7. Todobakudeku

I like tododeku simply because I always loved the trope where the emo got splashed with the ball of sunshine once and immediately put their life on the line for the sunshine 😆😆 I'm not really sure about Bakugou, since I only watched first 2 seasons of bnha and half of season 3, and he's still pretty insufferable at that point... but I heard that he got massive character development later on so I don't think I can give a fair opinion on Bakugou for now, sorry!

I've seen lots of Bakugou and Deku manga caps from the latest chapters tho and they look fruity so I guess these two really do get massive development, huh? 👀

I only started watching SK8, so maybe it's a little too early for me talk, but after your last analysis and some of your past rants... there's also the fact that Reki and Langa have no chemistry AT ALL. Like, I've seen more chemistry in water alone! Sure, they're pretty much joined by the hip now, but I would be that way with my first random friend if I moved to another country at the other side of the world, like Langa did. And I get that it's already canon that Langa has a crush on Reki, but c'mon! These are teenagers, their hormones are all over the place 24/7. And it's obvious that Reki does not reciprocate. Even if he is into guys, he obviously doesn't see Langa as someone he is remotely attracted to.

I think my main issue with the ship so far is that their personalities do not click. Comparing them to RinHaru (because the parallels ARE right there), Rin is sassy, but also sensitive and easily embarrassed; Haru is aloof and stoic, but can be hella stubborn if you put him in the right situation. Those are some traits for an interesting dynamic, and they also have in common that they are passionate about what they love, and determinated. Reki and Langa are... not it.

Langa is sweet, calm, chill, and clueless about a whole lot of things (including feelings); Reki is friendly and cheerful and all, but he's also chill and clueless. The contrast is only superficial, where's the flavor?!

I don't know, at this point I'm shipping Miya and that ex-childhood friend of his better than Renga, even the pre-teens have more depth. I keep waiting something magical will happen that will make me like Renga better, because I see the IDEA they had for their relationship, I LIKE that idea, but the result has not been great. (So far.) (I'm keeping myself optimistic.)

Langa’s relationship with Reki remind me of a puppy and the owner one (and clearly the puppy is more attached lol), not the two boyfriends, who want to be in a relationships, and they definitely do not have any sexual chemistry. Like seriously ANY.

And yeah, I said the same, they might have gotten the Rinharu scenes, but they lack all the dynamic, the passion for each other, the mutual thirst to be with each other, and just all the greatest parts. 

To me comparing these is like comparing a burger to two plain buns. Like technically it fits, but the best part and all the sauce is missing. 

Besides what’s even to compare... it’s like Reki has eyes on a boat girl, when Langa is next to him. Rin and Haru have their eyes on each other only since they were 12. Rin writes about how he’s the most beautiful thing he ever seen in his school essays and tells his australian parents not about his swimming, but how pretty and cool he is. Haru just doesn’t react to anyone in that way. It’s like all he sees is Rin, but also the only one who excites him is also Rin.

And can you imagine Rin drooling over some girl while Haru is next to him? LMFAO. Or Haru when Rin is next to him? Like a pretty girl once told him how great his muscles are and he was like “ok thanks I guess”, but then he checks Rin out 24/7 saying how great his muscles are, how he’s jelly of his strong strokes and how his legs are amazing and strong. And they didn’t even notice that one time that there was no water in the pool while they were both staring at each other undressing... like....?

And true, like we don’t even know if Reki’s interested in men, it really doesn’t look like he is. If he were bi, he’d react to Langa or idk Cherry the same way he reacted to the boat girl, I mean, have you see them? And no, reacting to his skating is not the same. Literally every sports anime has smth like this, so let’s not. It’s like everyone thinks Haru’s swimming is oh so pretty, but only one keeps talking about how his eyes are worth drowning into lol.

I don’t see Reki reciprocating the romantic feelings, too, and even if he somehow will in these last 3 episodes, it’s certainly already just not my type of a ship. Cause I don’t see Langa being his everything. He’s just not. This ship is just not for me I guess. 

Right now to me it’s like... everything is wrong with the reused Rinharu scenes lmao. It’s like someone replaced my favorite fries with papier mache ones. I also like still keep my heart open for maybe.. just maybe something extraordinary will happen in the last episodes and everything will fall in the right place, but I do not have a scenario for this to get much better.

Rinharu are obsessed with each other 24/7, they dreamt to be together since childhood and were the only thing on each other’s mind since the day they met. No Rin, no Haru are interested in winning more than in swimming with each other, they were also longing and drooling for each other so much, that the whole city knew it from both sides. And even when they had a misunderstandings each time they see each other it’s explosive and you see how much they want to touch, stay, and they both look at each other like... ugh.

Rin saw Haru’s talent and it pushed him to become even greater, Reki saw Langa’s talent and wilted, etc. I just feel like comparing these to each other is just unfair. Esp Reki and Rin. Reki is a kid, Rin stopped being a kid when his dad died, he’s also way too focused on getting what he wants in life.

Rin and Haru’s relationships are adult’s stuff, they also knew they wanted each other from the beginning. I mean, Rin even transferred schools for Haru when he was like 12. Reki and Langa’s realtionship are like new school friends thingy. That’s just some of our scenes are there, but it’s like depths of these scenes are incomparable. 

Also these like immature middle-school “why I’m not as cool emotions”... I’m waaaaaaay passed this, that’s all.

Anyways, yeah, I’ve already thought this through and decided that maybe we better try and not compare them at all, otherwise it’s just gonna be a huge loss without giving them any chance. It’s still can be like as cute as that Stride ship, I mean, I was like “cute”, but then I do forget about it almost always tho so xD. To each their own.
