Hit The Road
Chapter Nine
previous chapter next chapter
Summary: You are a hunter of supernatural beings who is forced to experience a new reality: being a vampire. The only thing stronger than your thirst for blood is your thirst for revenge.
Author's note: the characters mentioned here were created by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, based on the book series of the same name by author L. J. Smith. They don't belong to me. That said, this fanfic will be short. This fanfic may address scenes of violence, inappropriate language and adult content. Minors should not interact with this story. Also some information here is not in the order of the series or the same way it happened in the tv series. I'm changing some things to fit the fanfic story. Hope you like it!

You throw a punch towards Stefan, while trying to knock him to the ground. It's already the second week that you've gone out together to train. He has been a great help when it comes to helping you stay ready to face whatever comes your way. You haven't had visions since you almost died from the werewolf bite.
"Are you going easy on me or is it your age that's making you so slow, Stefan?" You say in an amused tone, mocking Stefan minutes before he tackles you to the ground.
"Who's the old man now?" Stefan asks, boasting, but then helping you up. You stand up, coming face to face with Stefan. His hot breath is so close to his face that you feel like you can smell fresh blood from his mouth.
"I let you do that so you wouldn't feel bad. I have to respect my elders." You speak seconds before giving Stefan a peck on the lips. He looks shocked at his audacity. You then kiss him again, this time with more desire. It doesn't take long for him to throw you against a tree and hold you against it.
"You drive me crazy, you know that?" Stefan says as he takes off your shirt fiercely. You like the way he treats you.
"So why did you kill me?" You say, feeling a horrible pain in your chest and seeing a stake right through your heart. You see blood everywhere and Stefan's hands are dirty with your blood.
You then wake up scared, from the most realistic nightmare you've ever had. You're actually lying in Stefan's bed. You remember that since the day you were hurt by Damon, Stefan took you into his room. Until you had this nightmare, you felt safe with Stefan. But it seems like that was a mistake on your part, because if this nightmare was like the visions you had, Stefan has something to do with your death. You get up, heading to Stefan's bathroom. You fill the bathtub to take a shower, after the nightmare you had, a relaxing bath will be helpful.
"Do you need company?" Damon says stopping in front of the bathroom door. You're already in the bathtub when he arrives.
"Yes, do you want to call your brother for me?" You speak using the most acidic tone to reach Damon's ridiculous ego.
"He's hunting right now. Some poor rabbit must be having his last few seconds alive while we're actually talking." Damon makes fun of Stefan. You roll your eyes at Damon and decide ignore Damon's presence. You take the soap and gently rub it over your body as if trying to tease Damon.
"Are you going to watch me or are you going to leave?" You ask touching yourself gently. Damon looks at you all analyzing you.
"When we were dating, you always took risks to try to save me from something. You almost died when trying to stop your hunter clan from getting me. When you died, I promised that I would do everything in my power to stop you from putting yourself at risk for me." Damon he vents approaching you. He is currently on his knees at the bathtub. His eyes are locked on you, as he walks closer, lightly touching your arm.
"Is this supposed to be an apology or do you just want to make small talk?" You ask, staring at Damon.
"It's supposed to be a warning. Hurting you is much better than losing you again. If you don't like what I'm capable of doing to keep you alive, you can stay away from me but I won't stop doing what I think is right." Damon responds with sincerity in his eyes, however, you find this apology very weak.
"If you expect me to fall into your arms after that ridiculous excuse to justify your cruelty, you definitely don't know me. Now, when you leave, close the door. It's very cold in here." You say dismissing Damon. No matter how much your heart wants him around, you can't forgive him easily. Maybe it's better this way.
"If the price I have to pay for your survival is your indifference, you can spend eternity hating me." Damon says, seconds before walking out the door impatiently.

Hi! Do you think Sarah will be starting a new series after she wraps up CC? Since it was mentioned (I think in ACOSF) that there may be 25 alternate worlds and we only know of 3. I feel like I’m one of the few who’s actually excited about the crossover, haha.
But I really hope she’ll release ACOTAR 5 and 6 back to back.
After CC, I think SJM will pick back up with the ACOTAR series, releasing 5/6 back to back and this is why:
We know she's currently working on the next ACOTAR book but SJM has never made a formal announcement on IG or her website and there has not been a formal announcement made by Bloomsbury claiming that in order for us to understand the next ACOTAR book, you should begin reading the CC series.
She mentioned reading ACOTAR before CC3 as an offhand comment in a paid interview but it came across as more of a "why wouldn't you want to read acotar now that you met those characters in CC, I think you should!?" rather than a "you definitely need to read the ACOTAR series to understand. The release of CC3 is months away. Had reading ACOTAR truly been a requirement, she wouldn't have left people three months to finish 4.5 books before purchasing the next CC.
There's many of us in the fandom. However, there are just as many people who simply browse their E-Reader book selections or walk through a bookstore and pick up books that way. The fandom is large but I'm not sure we make up the majority percentage of her book sales (maybe someone has a way of figuring that out?). Even if we do though, there is still a good number of people who have never looked at SJM's website or the FB fangroups or Twitter / Tumblr / Tik Tok, etc. Some people have no interest in putting in the effort to do anything more than enjoy a book, put it down and move on to the next. They don't go wild like we do for any and all information and really just read books based off their Amazon recommendations or the NY Times Bestseller list.
If we try and forget what we know of the fandom and act like we're an ACOTAR only reader because Urban Fantasy isn't a preferred genre (I know someone personally who hasn't read CC), the crossover doesn't exist in our world. Bryce doesn't exist. Our SJM reading experience ended with SF and we're anxiously awaiting the next ACOTAR book having no clue what she said in an interview that we didn't pay to watch.
For readers like that, can SJM truly pick up the next ACOTAR book after Bryce's arrival? Can it start with the characters talking about what they learned in CC3?
That would make zero sense to anyone who finished Nesta's story wondering what's going on with Tamlin, Koschei, the other queens, Beron, etc. There are definitely crumbs in SF hinting at the possibility of other worlds, the hints that people may have once been trapped in the Stone, but I think it's jumping a bit to much to start off ACOTAR 5 talking about a modern fae female who had entered Prythian through a portal they didn't know existed and swapped history's with, things that occurred off page in a series they never read.
Therefore, if (as we in the fandom know) the crossover will eventually affect future ACOTAR books, SJM has to build up to the events of the crossover within the ACOTAR series itself. Whatever we learn in CC3 has to also be presented as new information for the reader in ACOTAR 5/6. Because again, ACOTAR readers who buy books at bookstores alone are going to be clueless that an outerspace traveler from a different series landed in the NC and clueless as to whatever secrets were revealed in CC.
Reading all the series will create a more complete picture however, it's impossible for that to be a requirement for the next ACOTAR book since it's never been marketed as such. From a publishing standpoint, if SJM has written three different series, the series do still need to stand on their own and any information from a crossover that occurred in series #3 that's important to the future of series #2 will have to be delivered independently in series #2, without having to know what happened in series #3. Starting ACOTAR 5 with the characters having knowledge of Bryce's visit just doesn't work without causing massive confusion to a large portion of readers and it's not cohesive to where things ended in SF.
To smoothly integrate everything I imagine she'll start the next one, picking up shortly after the events of SF and use the next two books to buildup to what happened in the crossover and possibly the events that follow after, leading in to whatever connected plot the two share.
After that, I do think SJM will be writing another CC book (since she signed that new 4 book deal) dealing with House of Many Waters as well as another ACOTAR book(s) where she builds to a major battle in Prythian that involves characters from Midgard (and possible TOG) entering portals and joining together to fight the remaining Asteri.
I'm not sure I see her starting a new series yet, I think there are too many stories she's still looking to tell with the characters from her current ones.

I’m not talking about the comics, that’s why I only referred to it as the mcu. And I have seen eternals, that’s why I didn’t list him in the characters with Valkyrie. I’m trying to point out the nuances u missed and instead of understanding a different perspective, u spew defensiveness and reduce my point down to something trivial. You can personally go around saying it’s biphobic, but I do not think it is, and have my reasons and arg as previously listed. It’s another perspective very worth noting, and that your view isn’t the ultimate objectively correct view.
Okay, I'm gonna go a bit off topic and I don't expect you to read any of it because you've already made up your mind about me, but here we fucking go.
I understand your perspective. I just disagree with it. Because, personally, I think even mentioning that Loki is bisexual is a HUGE fucking deal. I don't need to see him make out with a dude in order to feel validated, okay? I grew up in the 1990s when movies involving queer characters were considered adult films that were not suitable for children or teenagers. They were R-rated simply because the main characters were queer. No one talked about sexuality unless it was point out how sinful it was and we did not even breathe the words gender unless someone was pregnant. Bisexuality was a footnote in the pages of books on LGBT rights.
That is why shows like Glee and movies like I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry were once considered groundbreaking, and why I personally love them. Granted Chuck & Larry would literally have no story if they had acknowledged bisexuality in the first place, but the thing is that bisexuality was too edgy for cinema back then. It would have made the movie less marketable because it would have alienated both biphobia queer people and cishet people. So when that movie was released and there was positive, laid back, funny representation of queer people -- representation that didn't paint queer people as pedophiles or murderers -- that's why me and my queer friends were ecstatic. Because even though the premise was flawed, it was a step in the right direction because it helped normalize queerness.
That's why I'm over the fucking moon just to see Loki come out even if he's in a straight-passing relationship. Especially because like I said, the MCU is currently under Disney's control and until the 2010's Disney has been notorious for only putting out queer-coded villains. Since Loki is a hero by the end of season two, that is a BIG fucking deal especially to queer people my age.
It doesn't matter whether or not you're talking about the comics, though, because like or not the MCU would NOT exist if it weren't for the comics that had been leftist reading material since 1941. So they are 100% relevant to this conversation.
The Sylki ship really upsets antis: People who think that just because something is taboo that makes it bad when in reality it's just a nod to the comics that the Loki series is based on. Specifically the 2011 arc Thor: Journey Into Mystery.
And bisexuals and queer people in general are not monoliths. We're gonna disagree on stuff. I've known I was bisexual since I was nine years old. I know from real life experience that bisexuals don't fall in love with everyone within a ten foot radius. Which is something I have been accused of in real life by insecure dumbasses. So, yes, I probably have some trauma I need to work through regarding that and if you've never encountered that kind of biphobia in real life then you are very lucky. That's why the idea of people perpetuating that myth is upsetting for me. That's not something I like to advertise because I think there is nothing stupider someone could do than advertise their triggers to an entire platform full of trolls, bigots, and bullies.
But I have nothing against Lokius shippers themselves. They can ship whoever they want -- that's the entire point of fanfictions and fan art and blah blah blah.
I don't seek out their blogs and harass them because of the ships they like. Or dislike.
When I see content I disagree with I just keep right scrolling and stay out of the comments so I don't say anything stupid or impulsive and start arguments like a petty child. This, however, is MY blog and I'm not going to censor myself for anyone. I'm allowed to say that something upsets me.
Now, I'm going to ask that you either stop sending me asks or else block me before I block you. Because this conversation has triggered my PTSD, and I'm not in the mood to continue it.

2521: on endings and speculations
this post is a collation of my responses to two lovely asks about twenty five, twenty one’s ending, which i shamelessly hijacked into semi-creative essay pieces. i’m posting them as one essay here because i would hate for them to get lost in the dash. please enjoy!
before i address the exploration of potential answers to the riddle of the show’s ending, i want to emphasize that in order to enjoy such a story to the fullest, i think we need to let go of some of our preconditioned expectations of what a "happy" ending is, or whether an ending needs to be "happy" to be "good". i think a good story is a story that is told in such a way that it allows us to fully understand and agree with its outcome.
personally, i will be happy with the show's ending if (1) the characters i love are happy with the lives they lead by the end, and (2) i am able to completely understand and agree with the narrative choices made, based on the way the story is written and presented to me.
let me begin this examination by sharing that to me, this story already carries the scent of sadness, because of the way it is told through an over-the-shoulder look full of tender affection for a bygone golden time. this is a consciously created effect emphasized by the juxtaposition of happy writing with heart-rending editorial choices, such as the montage of hee do and yi jin's fun at the water fountain over the profoundly sad song of "twenty five, twenty one", which serves as inspiration for the entire series. even while the characters are sharing their brightest smiles, the shadow of moon chae's perusal of a diary hangs over their happiness, making us acutely aware of how precious every happy moment is, because it has already passed us by. even while we're "at the centre of our youths", as yi jin narrates, we have the double vision of the future when our fondest moments will exist only in our memory, in the writings, recordings, and photographs we tried to bottle them in.
now that we got my inconsolable sadness out of the way, we can move on to the matter of speculation. i think there are three questions to ask about hee do and yi jin's future:
1. who is moon chae's father?
2. who is hee do's husband?
3. what is the current relationship between hee do and yi jin, and why? will their relationship experience any change inspired by moon chae's perusal of her mom's diary?
i think the first thing we need to keep in mind is that the answer to the first two questions does not have to be the same. the second is that i, fortunately or unfortunately, do not want to know the answer to any of these questions before the show is ready to tell me.
so far, this has been an incredibly smart and inspiring show. such a show knows that there are two elements that make or break a long-awaited revelation: build-up and timing. such a show would be careful to provide us with enough clues to pique our curiosity, but withhold enough information that we always have more than one equally likely option to choose from, up until the moment it's ready to spill the tea. such a show would strive to lead us into the revelation out of the corner of our eyes, then all at once; would weave the past and the present into a melody that takes our breath away.
is attempting to guess, then, a disservice to the storytelling aim of the show? is the single-minded expectation of a certain narrative a denial of the show's efforts to lead us into a multiverse of possibilities, to let us sit in the darkness of wonder that opens up our minds to inhabit more than one fictional ending at a time?
because in the end, this is the show-makers’ story to tell, not ours, so i'm very curious and open towards the kind of story they want it to be. is it about the trials and tribulations of a lasting love that can clash with the achievement of a life's dream? is it about the nostalgia and warm, sad feeling towards the love of your life that you weren't ultimately able to keep? is it playing around with our understanding of narrative structure and how we perceive relationships as everlasting or doomed? is it playing a complicated mind game of setting up and gorgeously shattering our expectations of a love story told in retrospect?
the only things we can know about hee do and yi jin's future are the things that we are shown, and the only things we are shown are the things that will manipulate our thinking in the direction that the show wants us to think in. and here is the best thing about manipulation: it is always based on a false perception. at the heart of a magic trick, there is always a lie.
this begs the question, what does the show wants us to think?
i almost don't want to speculate: i want to sit back and enjoy the story without setting up any expectations to be upheld or shattered. i want to be led running somewhere in darkness, and wait patiently until the light shines red or green, and feel, and understand why it did.

Item #: SCP-4885
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Currently, it is only theorized that SCP-4885 is contained. To further elaborate, SCP-4885 is contained within an unknown Class-17 Containment Chamber in an unknown site. In the event that SCP-4885 breaches containment, Procedure Invenient Eum is to be enacted, which consists of the following procedures:
Thirty six Class-17 Containment Chambers are to be connected to an independent self-driving vehicle. At all times, 216 inactive Containment Chambers are to be readily available in case of sudden and unforeseen breach of SCP-4885's containment.
One D-Class subject of stable mental health is to be submitted into the vehicle, and driven into the system. A cryptographically secure pseudorandom number generator is to choose a random number between one and thirty-six, and the vehicle is to be transported to a Containment Chamber based on the number chosen.
Each Containment Chamber has a single digital monitor that is capable of outputting video at 720p resolution. Once a D-Class subject is transported to a random chamber, a message is to be sent to every monitor simultaneously. This message consists of the current location of SCP-4885, delivered via an implanted tracking device. The GPS is only accessible by Level 5 Personnel or SCP-4885 containment staff on a need to know basis.
After approximately two hours, each containment chamber is to be transported to a randomly designated Foundation site via self-driving trucks. The trucks are to be disguised as a packaging service in order to prevent suspicion. In the event an accident occurs during this stage, Procedure Invenient Eum is to be enacted again.
No personnel who are aware of SCP-4885's existence are to go within 100 meters of any Class-17 Containment Chamber. Several signs and warnings have been placed around each chamber, labeling it as a water treatment room, and that attempted access is punishable by immediate amnestication and loss of employment as decided by the Ethics Committee.
These warnings tell personnel to report to a nearby Automated Site Overseer of any leaks from the chamber, in which the person will be visually amnesticized by the Overseer, and Procedure Invenient Eum will be reenacted. For more information regarding the composition of Class-17 Containment Chambers, please consult Document 7631.00.
Currently, SCP-4885-1 instances that are located via far2.AIC are contained within Location i. The whereabouts of Location i is only known to far2.AIC. Currently, far2.AIC is connected to 80% of CCTV security cameras within the United States, and 40% of total CCTV security cameras on Earth.
SCP-4885-1 instances discovered by far2.AIC will have specialized Foundation carrier drones to be dispatched and attempt to grab the body, and carry it to Location i, using routes that minimize the chance of unwanted civilian interference. In the event that a civilian notices a drone and SCP-4885 breaches containment, the drone will send an "All Alert" message to SCP-4885's containment team, and Procedure Invenient Eum will be enacted.
In the event that Location i's whereabouts are discovered at large, the next personnel located within Document PAINT-THE-TOWN-YELLOW will establish the next Location i, and their immediate family will be notified of their death.
Description: SCP-4885 is an anomalous humanoid resembling the main character of the popular series of puzzle books "Where's Wally?" (known in the US as "Where's Waldo?"). This entails that SCP-4885 wears a horizontal red and white striped shirt, a red and white bobble hat, and jeans. However, a noticeable difference in appearance from the character is the entity's paler skin and the lack of eyes.
In the event that a subject knows of SCP-4885's current location at any given time1, SCP-4885 will move to the nearest wall and begin to "phase" into it. SCP-4885 will appear inside of the subject, and will reach up the esophagus and grab the subject's chin through their mouth.
SCP-4885 will then proceed to pull themselves through the subject, destroying their internal organs and their spine. Once this has occurred, a yellow liquid will exit the corpse's mouth and will cover the subject entirely, which causes it to become an SCP-4885-1 instance. SCP-4885 will remain in its current location, occasionally patrolling the area, until another person discovers its location once again.
However, if SCP-4885 is close enough to the subject when they discover its location, they will instead approach the subject, attempt to climb into the subject's mouth, enter their abdomen and exit their body through the subject's pelvis. During this time, SCP-4885 can easily dislocate/relocate any joint in its body, and its skin and muscles will gain the consistency of a malleable solid, allowing it to easily climb into and out of the subject.
SCP-4885-1 instances are anomalous corpses that were created by SCP-4885. The entire body of an SCP-4885-1 instance is covered in illustrations similar to those found in Where's Wally? books, with many different characters appearing on the instance's skin. These illustrations originate from the liquid that exits the corpses' mouth. Currently, no instances of the cartoon character "Wally" have been found on an SCP-4885-1 instance. These illustrations cannot be removed from the subject unless the skin it is placed on is removed.
If a subject knows the location of any given SCP-4885-1 instance, SCP-4885 will teleport itself to the subject and kill them in the exact same manner as if they discovered SCP-4885 itself. This will also transform them into an SCP-4885-1 instance.
SCP-4885 was discovered residing in [LOCATION REDACTED] within a small wooden house. Mobile Task Force Chi-19 ("Unrelenting Punishment") was sent to capture an entirely separate anomaly, and did not know of SCP-4885's existence.
Subjects: Amelia Merrick (M-1), James Klein (M-2), Kurt Stoll (M-3)
[BEGIN LOG]
M-1: Mic check.
M-2: Yup.
M-3: All good.
M-1: Equipment check.
M-2: Everything's working as intended.
M-3: Ditto.
M-1: Transcript number… 67. We are entering the house.
M-3: No one's talking to you Melly.
M-2: Oh, stop it. Now is not the time, Kurt.
M-3: Heh, right, sorry.
The group enters the house.
M-1: Initial descriptions of the object were a pair of black spectacles capable of killing the user, and covering their body in strange pictures from an unknown children's book.
M-3: It was obviously Where's Wa-
M-2: Kurt, stay professional.
M-3: I just want to bring some life into M-1's robotic speech.
M-1: I'm trying to keep my job, Kurt.
M-2: Ahem.
M-1: Sigh Right.
The group search the ground floor for the object, and begin to go upstairs. Scraping noises are heard below them, but the group does not notice this.
M-3: There's a picture on the wall.
M-1: Hmm?
M-3: Yeah, looks weird. Looks like crayon.
M-2: Take a picture.
M-3: Already on it.
him.png
The image taken by M-3.
M-2: Good. Think it has something to do with the anomaly?
M-3: Of course. It looks like Waldo.
M-1: Do any of you have an idea on where the object may be?
M-3: Er, I think it's in here.
M-1: Which room is this?
M-3: Um… Bathroom. There's a toilet and a… a shower, yeah. At least I think it's a shower.
The room is circular, with a normal porcelain toilet at the other side of the room. There is a small depression into the floor, leading to a small drain.
M-2: Strange… what kind of shower is this?
M-1: There is a modified sprinkler on the ceiling. There's a switch on one side of the room that, I assume, would activate the sprinkler. Seeing as this house has been abandoned for several years, I doubt it would work.
M-3 activates the switch. Water begins to come out of the sprinkler.
M-1: I stand corrected. Who is paying the water bill for this to work? Is it still hot?
M-3 touches the water, and immediately recoils in pain.
M-3: Gah… it's scalding.
M-1: Who is…
M-2: I have discovered the object. It was rested… uh, resting on the toilet.
M-2 is seen holding a pair of black circular glasses. The lens appear to be missing.
M-1: Good. You know the drill.
M-2 carefully examines the object, checking for fingerprints or any other traces of evidence. A small set of fingerprints are discovered on the temples of the glasses, which are revealed to be his own.
M-2: Yup, these are the ones. I'll put these in a baggie real quick.
M-2 produces a plastic bag from a small container around their waist, and places the glasses inside.
M-3: There's an inscription here. It's in… uh, [REDACTED].
M-1: Where?
M-3: Over here, on the wall.
The phrase "[REDACTED]" is seen on the wall in [REDACTED].
M-3: This was definitely not here when we first got here. Should we just leave it be and tell command about this, or?
M-2: It's most likely memetic. Here. let me translate it. I have training.
M-2 takes out a small Foundation-made translator, and inputs the phrase.
M-2: Huh, well never mind, doesn't appear to be memetic. It says… "The basement. The corpses from a child's book are in the basement. He is there too. Fr-. " And then it cuts off.
M-3: Hm. Take a picture and we'll send it ba-
M-2 begins to groan and hold their stomach.
M-3: Are you okay? What happened?
A set of fingers exit M-2's mouth, and grab their jaw. The hands push down, launching the jaw across the room. SCP-4885 exits M-2's body.
M-1: W-what the f-
Both M-1 and M-3 begin shooting at SCP-4885. The entity charges towards M-1 and shoves their fingers down their throat, and begin clawing into their mouth by unhinging their jaw.
M-3: Please, fuck, oh god. P-please, command. We're at [LOCATION REDACTED]. I repeat, [LOCATION REDACTED]. We need assistance, asap. Help. HE-
The audio is abruptly severed.
[END LOG]
When the transcript was received by a nearby site, the site almost immediately went into lockdown as SCP-4885 killed most of its personnel. The O5 Council enacted an emergency meeting, and Procedure Invenient Eum was created. Shortly after this, the procedure was enacted, and SCP-4885 was theorized to be contained. All information regarding SCP-4885's location of discovery was removed via an automatic algorithm, and SCP-4885's file was created.

Tumblr media
Name: Kim Age: 26 (27 in September) Writing Blog URL(s): @jinterlude
Nationality: Filipino-American Languages: English  Star Sign: Virgo MBTI: ISFJ-T Favorite color: Any shade of blue  Favorite food: Ah, I have so many, but I really do love ramen & this Filipino noodle dish my grandma makes. Favorite movie: West Side Story. A close second is Pride & Prejudice (2005) Favorite ice cream flavor: Rocky Road  Favorite animal: Pandas Go-to karaoke song: Upside Down by A*Teens (I think I just dated myself)
What fandom(s) do you write for? Mainly BTS, but I have written for SVT, EXO, GOT7, Monsta X, B.A.P, & NCT
When did you post your first piece? Oh dang, when? Hmm… I want to say Oct. 2016 (?) on my first blog (I had deleted and came back to Tumblr).
Do you write fluff/angst/crack/general/smut, combo, etc? Why? I mostly write a combo because it just happens that way! My main genres are: fluff, romance, & humor/crack.
Do you write OCs, X Readers, Ships...etc? I mainly write OCs stories because that’s what makes me the happiest when it comes to writing, but I still write x reader fics for drabbles and oneshots.
Why did you decide to write for Tumblr? Funny story. The reason why I started writing for Tumblr is because an old group of friends said that I should write a funny story based on a college class of mine, so I did and here we are.
What inspires you to write? Usually, it’s my imagination, but other times it’s either the song I’m listening to or even the show I’m currently watching. Right now, my inspiration draws from anime.
What genres/AUs do you enjoy writing the most? Genre wise, I love writing fluff & romance. AUs wise, I’m a sucker for Royal/Royalty. Mafia/Gang & Soulmate AUs would be a close second.
What do you hope your readers take away from your work? Oh, wow. I honestly never thought about that before. I think for me, the one thing I hope my readers get from my stories is at the end of the day, please do something that will make you happy. Your own happiness should always be a top priority for you.
What do you do when you hit a rough spot creatively? I take a break! Instead of forcing myself out of the creativity slump, I just take a break and let my mind recharge. Then, I go back to my outline and look over while listening to music that I know will spark some creativity juices.
What is your favorite work and why? Your most successful? My favorite works (yes, I couldn’t pick just one) are my Royal!AU Seokjin series (Fight for Me & Our Second Chance). I love the amount of time and effort I put into those two stories, and I’m simply in awe at the world and characters I created. My second favorite is my latest Seokjin oneshot, Protecting Each Other. It’s my first story that exceeded 10,000 words, and I’m just proud of how that turned out. Successful wise, I would say it’s, This Little String. It’s a Soulmate!Taehyung oneshot based around the red-string of fate, and every other month, I see someone like and/or reblog it, so I say that’s pretty successful!
Who is your favorite person to write about? Seokjin hands down. I mean, not only is he one of my ultimate biases, but for some reason my creative banks dishes out ideas and inspiration for him like it’s nothing.
Do you think there’s a difference between writing fanfiction vs. completely original prose? I personally don’t think so. You are still writing original content that derails from the source material (or adds to it), all you have to do is just replace your idols’ name with an original character name, and there you go. What do you think makes a good story? For me, I’d say that if you’re honestly proud of the end product, then that story is good, and your readers will see that. What is your writing process like? First I get an idea, or I like to call it, “it appeared to me in a vision,” then I outline it (if the idea lingers in my brain), and then I start writing and editing. Sometimes I’d sprint with my fellow writers on a server I’m in, and other times, I’d put on music and just let my brain go wild. Most of the time, I’m sprinting with friends.
Would you ever repurpose a fic into a completely original story? If I had the time, probably. I can see my Royal!AU series becoming an original story with different characters and an expanded plotline. What tropes do you love, and what tropes can’t you stand? I am a sucker for F2L I (friends to lovers)! I just love the idea of dating someone who’s your best friend, so why not date your best friend, if the feelings are mutual of course! As for tropes, I dislike, I can’t say that I have any. I think it’s because (and I feel so bad for this), I don’t really read much stories other than what my mutual friends have written.
How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you? It means the world to me because I do like knowing if I’m doing something right or if I need to go back and edit something for clarity. Mainly, I get likes and reblogs (with no feedback), and while it’s still nice of someone for taking the time to like and reblog something, I would like some feedback, please. I’m still grateful no matter what, though!
What has been one of the biggest factors of your success (of any size)? I think it’s the support of my amazing group of friends/mutuals! It’s thanks to their support that my work is reaching a wider audience, and it just means the world to me that they read my blood, sweat, and tears. I love them so much, especially my close friend, Jey (softjeon on Tumblr)!
Coffee or tea? What are you ordering? For coffee, my go-to is a Caramel Macchiato with Soy Milk (from Starbucks), but lately I’ve been using my Keurig, so I just Peppermint Mocha and 3 tsps of Sugar (I can’t stand bitter coffee lol). For tea, I really like Mango green tea from Gongcha (another boba place chain).
Dream job (whether you have a job or not)? My dream job is to be an elementary school teacher, however, I am currently working on becoming a social worker where my population will still focus on children/students. So, it’s a good compromise!
If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?  If I could have one superpower, it would be cryokinesis aka ice manipulation!
If you could visit a historical era, which would you choose? Oh, that’s a tough one, but if I had to choose one, I would go for the 1960s so I can see the Beatles live!
If you could restart your life, knowing what you do now, would you? No, because it’s thanks to those life lessons that I grow up to be who I currently am. Sometimes you have to go through those harsh experiences to be a better version of yourself!
Would you rather fight 100 chicken-sized horses or one horse-sized chicken? One horse-sized chicken, then I can feed my family for months.
If you were a trope in a teen high school movie, what would you have been? Oh, hands down, I would be the stereotypical geek/nerd. Though, I was called a “preppy” in 9th grade, so that was a first.
Do you believe in aliens/supernatural creatures? Yup, especially ghosts!
Fun fact about yourself that not everyone would know? I can say the alphabet backwards!
Do you think fanfic writers get unfairly judged? Oh, hands down, especially when it comes to writing smut. I’ve seen other blogs condemn writers who write smut about real people, but my thing is that these idols are merely face claims for a character that the author is writing about.
Do you think art can be a medium for change? I think so! Every artist has a voice, especially with what’s going on recently, we need to be able to use our voices to spread light on certain issues.
Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself? I used to think that way, especially when it came to writing x reader inserts since I know that’s what “sells” to the Tumblr audience. Now, I’m perfectly happy with writing x OC stories, and I’m content with my stories getting at least 5 notes. If it breaks 10 notes, then that’s a success!
Do you ever feel like people have misunderstood you or your writing at times? If they did, then I wouldn’t know. Most of the time, I think my writing is okay with people.
Do your offline friends/loved ones know you write for Tumblr? Yes, my soul friend managed my old blog once upon a time and actually read one of my smuts. I was so embarrassed! But at least he said it was tastefully written, so that’s a bonus?
What is one thing you wish you could tell your followers? Always remember that it is okay to take breaks/go on hiatus!
Do you have any advice for aspiring writers who might be too scared to put themselves out there? My advice to those who want to start writing but are too afraid put themselves out there is to simply go for it. I was that person who was afraid to put their writing out there for the world to see, especially with some already established BTS writers on Tumblr, but I went for it. At first, it might be discouraging but know that your mutuals/friends will always be your number one supporter! Use their support as a motivator to keep writing and finding your groove! Then, eventually, all of your readers will start trickling in and showering you with the love and support you deserve!
Are there any times when you regret joining Tumblr? I wouldn’t say regret joining but more like allowing my life to be revolved around it. At one point in my life, it felt like a second job/chore for me, and Tumblr should never be that type of site!
Do you have any mutuals who have been particularly formative/supportive in your Tumblr journey? Oh, I have so many! The ones that come to mind are definitely Jey (softjeon), Beanie (jinned), Nina (j-sope), Kenz (parksfilter), Renae (mygsii), Atlas (astraljoon), & Niah (randomkoalablog) to name a few! I love these amazing people so much and cherish their friendship to the moon and back!
Pick a quote to end your interview with: "Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious … and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." - Walt Disney

Conversation
Hello
Im texasthegreatdestroyer, and most of my posts are fangics and i plan to display art very soon however, ive been working on a mashup fanfic based comic on my most regarded anime/video game characters and a few OC's called How To Start A Bounty Of Morons. I have four key main characters ans they are: Hei (Darker than Black), Celty (Durarara), Auron (FFX), and my top O.C., Texas Lady Ann Mechanica. Seeing since i run most of my stories on FFX, you can probably tell that this fraction of the story is based on Auron. So that people understand the plot of this segment of the story, ill give a little input on the story. My OC and Auron are afterlife bountyhunters in an equivalence of life or death situation if they dont comply. They are also partners who become very close after a while and this takes an effect when Auron discoverers passively that he is her metaphysical. A metaphysical is a very over powered demon that often fights on behalf of their medium otherwise known as a metaphysical medium and, the metaphysicaland medium relationship is based off of a unbroken bond between the spirit and their medium. For those out there who might throw a fit about misconsumptions of me shipping my O.C. with Auron, the relationship is purely platonic. There is no sexual or romantic connection between the two. I have a strict no shipping OCs with characters from other fandoms or series rule, and I plan to keep it that way. So back to the whole "Auron finds out he's a metaphysical." As he does this, he learns that he has time abilities, in other words time travel and anything related, along with his second partner that he shares the same metaphysical name as and plays the role as his weapon, Omega. Many chapters in, his partner, Texas, we'll have her soul destroyed, and Auron plans to try and fix that by ceasing to play a role in that part of her life, but in order to do that, he has to go back into his past, the time even him and Yuna and his fellow guardians fight Sin for the final time. How the story goes is that Auron, Jecht, and Braska were abducted by a group known as the Elite Federals, One of two continents that exist in a dimension called The Infinitive Waste. Jecht and Braska are spared, but Auron is forced to undergo experimentation to create the perfect soldier. His process of becoming an elite bounty hunter. This is the pathway to Texas, and he's trying to avoid her at all costs in order to save her. By racking his brain to remember and eventually succeeding, he remembers the time of which the abduction took place and goes back in time and tries to get his past self to delay the battle against Sin for at least an hour.
Excerpt:
Auron sits against the wall in the pathway to the main deck of the airship. A familiar but changed character calls out to him from behind a nook.
[???] Hey! You! Over here! Auron! (Whisper)
Auron looks over to find a figure closely resembling him.
[Auron]...Who are you?
[???] Look, this may sound a little hard too believe, but I'm you from the future.
[Past Auron] What?
[Future Auron] There's no time for me to explain, all I can say is that when you get sent, that same evening, you, Jecht and Braska will be abducted. In order to prevent that from happening, you need to delay Yuna's fight with Sin by an hour or two, which ever is preferable.
[Past Auron] Im sorry, I don't know who you are, but thats not happening. If we're to have a shot to kill Sin, it's now. Besides, how do I know what you're saying is true?
[Future Auron] Come on! I look exactly like you, other than a few physical changes! Can you not trust me at all?
[Past Auron] That makes me trust you less.
The two are interrupted by someone. Its Wakka.
[Wakka] Whoaho! Sir Auron! That guy kinda looks like you, ya?
[Past Auron] I don't know him-
[Future Auron] Wakka, Auron's not feeling well, you should tell Yuna to call off the fight for a while.
[Past Auron] Ignore him, I'm fine!
[Future Auron] Are you sure? You seem to a bit pale.
[Past Auron] The only one hear who has discoloration of skin is you.
[Future Auron] Just relay the message.
Past Auron grabs Future Auron by the collar of his chest armor and pulls him out of view. The to go up to the sky deck. There, they continue their conversation.
[Past Auron] Look, I don't know who you are, or what you're after, but you're not getting it from me, so leave me alone!
[Future Auron] If you don't take my advise, you think your life was hell, your afterlife will be worse. Take it from someone who experienced it. They will take away the people you love and you will be fighting to live everyday of your miserable afterlife.
[Past Auron] You're bluffing, and I don't particularly care to hear it.
[Future Auron] Please! Auron! We are the same person, what happened to me will for sure happen to you if you don't do this. All I'm asking is that you delay the battle for one hour.
[Past Auron] That's not going to happen.
Past Auron walks off, leaving Future Auron on his own, he kicks the exterior of the ship out of rage.
[Auron] SHIT!! I didn't realize that I was such a stubborn asshole.
The time goes by as events play out... Later on, the two meet again in the cell that Auron was thrown into after being abducted.
[Past Auron] Ok, I believe you now, what do we do now?
[Future Auron] We? You get to sit in a cell until you get yourself into the same position I'm currently in. Its to late, there's nothing you can do. You'll be the next in line to try and convince our past self. I'm thinking the method you can use is kidnapping.
[Past Auron] So, I kidnap myself?
[Future Auron] Correct.
[Past Auron] To avoid being kidnapped?
[Future Auron] Ideally, yes.
[Past Auron] Tell me, do you realize just how ridiculous that is?
[Future Auron] You're right! We should try to hold a civil conversation with our past self, because that's not nearly as ridiculous! Oh wait, I already tried that and that worked so perfectly the first time! (Sarcasm). That's why we're here now! In the place opposite of where we wanted to be!
[Past Auron] Ok, I can't argue there. How exactly are we going to kidnap our self? We're equally matched, it will not be easy.
[Future Auron] As you go through the system, you'll understand that you are far more powerful than you used to be, that and when the time does come, I'll be there too, so it'll be two against one. Chances are he's not going to win.
[Past Auron] So, we're going to fight our self? This is getting weirder by the minute.
Future Auron goes to leave.
[Past Auron] Wait! Where are you going?
[Future Auron] You've got some experimentation to go through, and I've got some reconnaissance to do.
[Past Auron] Why? Our objective isn't here. Wait, what do you mean, "experimentation"?
Future Auron leaves.
[Past Auron] Wait! Auron? Please come back. I really need to know! Oh no!

I’m tempted to block everything about Gwyn + Azriel lately. It hasn’t even happened yet - we literally have no confirmation that it will happen and people have ruined it for me. I’ve seen people literally saying “my favorite part of their love story”… what story? The one that hasn’t even been written yet? I fear it’s becoming one of those horribly overhyped ships and if SJM decides to go a different way, Gwynriels are gonna turn into Elriels 2.0. I’m literally praying for Elucien’s book to be next because I already feel like I’ve read 10 books about Gwynriel. And I’m sort of starting to get sick of the warrior x warrior pairs. Authors, not just SJM, need to start shaking things up and think of something different.
I think it's very normal to experience shippers fatigue when a pairing is not your favorite because no matter how much people might be alright with your personal ship, there will be times when the discussion surrounding their favorite will (even unintentionally) make yours seem less important.
While I do think we're all guilty of imagining how good both Gwynriel and Elucien could be together (and will hopefully be), I agree that neither couple is currently in love. Someday if they end up there, maybe we can look back and say, "they were barely friends at that point but based on what the characters told us in their book, they sensed that the other was going to be someone important to them" and that technically will become part of their love story. But at this point I agree that we can't know for sure exactly where it will have begun for them. Because a love story that started when Az was canonically still in love with Mor and fixated on Elain for the wrong reasons is not a very good love story. Just like I wouldn't want Elucien to be falling for one another while she was still in love with Graysen.
While I do think Gwynriel will end up together and well matched, I agree that every female becoming a warrior is getting a little redundant at this point (especially within the same series). Which is why I am also really looking forward to Elain and Lucien's book. I want to see more of the politics side of things from them, more of their intelligence shining through in how they interact with other Courts, and less training, less "the Illyrians are brutes", less IC drama that has been the focus for so many books now. Elucien would be a nice break from all that.
I think my most controversial take on Gwynriel is not so much how a shipper imagines their story to go or headcannons because those are the things that keep us alive while we wait for the next book. My biggest issue is that just because Az and Gwyn were more heavily featured in SF, people have taken up the stance that Elucien is irrelevant so Gwynriel MUST be the focus of the next book.
Gwynriel was in SF, sure. But you know whose unresolved story was in ACOMAF? ACOWAR? ACOFAS? ACOSF? Elucien. It doesn't matter how often Az's name was in SF or that Gwyn had more development than Elain because Gwyn was there for Nesta (and Az is Cassian's best friend). I don't disagree that SJM is hinting at Gwynriel but the main point of Gwyn in SF was to be Nesta's found family which means she had to strongly feature in the book and Nesta needed to know who Gwyn was in order for their relationship to develop. However, when you consider how Elain's story has been building from book 2 and Lucien's from book 1, it's not about most mentions in a book (especially a book about Nesta and Cassian). It feels a little like "can't you wait your turn?" considering Gwynriel was just introduced. Eluciens deserve to be put out of their misery 😂. And yes, Chaol and Yrene got together in a single book but it wasn't at the expense of who Aelin was going to end up with after her romantic arc had been building for multiple books.
It wouldn't make any sense for Elain or Lucien to heavily feature in a Nessian's book when Lucien is not actually part of the IC (though SJM still found a way to make him relevant and set his future journey up) and Nesta and Elain are not meant to become extremely close. The point of Nesta's journey was learning to find a life outside of being Elain's protector and learning to let go of Elain. It was also a continuation of the narrative that Elain doesn't belong in the NC so she had to remain somewhat irrelevant to the IC in general.
Sure, we know Gwyn is going to have unknown powers, needs to discover her heritage, she may have a mating bond and we know she's going to need to decide what she wants to do about being a priestess and leaving the library but SJM literally told us, "Elain doesn't belong in the NC and has unknown powers, Elain will go to Spring and then the continent, Lucien is also going to be in Spring (Spring which the IC keeps mentioning they need up and running) and the continent, Lucien is displaying the markers of a High Lord, still doesn't know about his father, Koschei is about to call Vassa back and she's connected to Lucien and Vassa, and Elain and Lucien still need to decide what they'll do about their actual confirmed mating bond which has been an ongoing issue for multiple books. Everything with Elain and Lucien was laid out with actual locations. Not to mention the final page of the book has Nesta placing the wooden carving made for Elain (a carving which was repeatedly mentioned in SF) on their fathers gravestone as a "marker of the beauty and good he tried to bring into the world" and that (to me) is clearly symbolic of Elain and how she'll soon go on her journey.
That doesn't mean the Gwynriel book can't happen next, it absolutely can. But I do get somewhat frustrated by Gwynriel's who really don't think there is just as much suggesting Elucien could also be next. They're forgetting how long Elain and Lucien's journey's has been building and that it actually made sense for Elain not to heavily feature in the books if SJM is trying to sell the narrative that no one really knows her and her not belonging in the NC.

Hello, just wondering who do you think is the father of Kim Min Chae? I am really in awe of their special bond and I believe they are soulmates and I'm so worn out with dramas that is too hard on first love. I mean, though the percentage of first love marrying one another is not that high but it also do happen in real life!
I also tried to make some reasonings that maybe the drama is really just toying with everyone! xD
1. In the photobook scene in present, it is possible that maybe Yi Jin really changed his surname since his father is still considered a financial criminal and that's part of his new career or anything. Min Chae did not "immediately" recognized his father (this is very possible!) and then the scene was cut before further dialogues can be said! Also, Min Chae learned his father's then-surname.
2. In episode 7, the misunderstanding was solved because Hee Do is even in the old house! And we learned Min Chae's father is traveling abroad, there is a chance that this can still be Yi Jin.
3. In episode 8, Min Chae didn't need to address Yijin as her "father" because she doesn't use much honorifics to her parents when speaking her mind and that would also take away the suspense in the present timeline! T__T
hello and thank you for the ask!!! this answer might be a little long and not exactly an answer, but i hope you don't mind!
firstly, thank you so much for summing up the clues above! half of the fun of a drama told in retrospect with such a mystery at its centre is to play around with solutions, so i hope you won't worry too much about the outcome while you wait!
before i address the exploration of potential answers to the riddle, i want to emphasize that in order to enjoy such a story to the fullest, i think we need to let go of some of our preconditioned expectations of what a "happy" ending is, or whether an ending needs to be "happy" to be "good". i think a good story is a story that is told in such a way that it allows us fully understand and agree with its outcome.
personally, i will be happy with the show's ending if (1) the characters i love are happy with the lives they lead by the end, and (2) i am able to completely understand and agree with the narrative choices made, based on the way the story is written and presented to me.
let me begin this examination by sharing that to me, this story already carries the scent of sadness, because of the way it is told through an over-the-shoulder look full of tender affection for a bygone golden time. this is a consciously created effect emphasized by the juxtaposition of happy writing with heart-rending editorial choices, such as the montage of hee do and yi jin's fun at the water fountain over the profoundly sad song of "twenty five, twenty one", which serves as inspiration for the entire series. even while the characters are sharing their brightest smiles, the shadow of moon chae's perusal of a diary hangs over their happiness, making us acutely aware of how precious every happy moment is, because it has already passed us by. even while we're "at the centre of our youths", as yi jin narrates, we have the double vision of the future when our fondest moments will exist only in our memory, in the writings, recordings, and photographs we tried to bottle them in.
now that we got my inconsolable sadness out of the way, we can move on to the matter of speculation. i think there are three questions to ask about hee do and yi jin's future:
1. who is moon chae's father?
2. who is hee do's husband?
3. what is the current relationship between hee do and yi jin, and why? will their relationship experience any change inspired by moon chae's perusal of her mom's diary?
i think the first thing we need to keep in mind is that the answer to the first two questions does not have to be the same. the second is that i, fortunately or unfortunately, do not want to know the answer to any of these questions before the show is ready to tell me.
so far, this has been an incredibly smart and inspiring show. such a show knows that there are two elements that make or break a long-awaited revelation: build-up and timing. such a show would be careful to provide us with enough clues to pique our curiosity, but withhold enough information that we always have more than one equally likely option to choose from, up until the moment it's ready to spill the tea. such a show would strive to lead us into the revelation out of the corner of our eyes, then all at once; would weave the past and the present into a melody that takes our breath away.
is attempting to guess, then, a disservice to the storytelling aim of the show? is the single-minded expectation of a certain narrative a denial of the show's efforts to lead us into a multiverse of possibilities, to let us sit in the darkness of wonder that opens up our minds to inhabit more than one fictional ending at a time?
the only things we can know about hee do and yi jin's future are the things that we are shown, and the only things we are shown are the things that will manipulate our thinking in the direction that the show wants us to think in. and here is the best thing about manipulation: it is always based on a false perception. at the heart of a magic trick, there is always a lie.
this begs the question, what does the show wants us to think?
