Howdy!!! Welcome back to the Weekly Update!

Mind Games: Trepidation

What a week! We've gotten the Chapter 6 Update out and about for everyone to enjoy! I hope you guys have been having fun seeing what's inside, as I loved writing it and I am enjoying seeing your choices on the Google Form!!

I took a couple of days from writing, but I have still gotten QUITE a bit done on Chapter 7! I actually, as of this morning, have finished the first scene's rough draft! And it is.... *chef's kiss*. There's quite a bit of Sylvia and MC interaction, which I'm really happy about! I want to get these two on screen together as much as possible, as I luv MC having someone who also bullies them as much as they (optionally) bully others <3

Chapter 7 is current sitting at 3,289 words, and I've also just finished the first part of Scene 2, which was super frickin fun. You guys are gonna LOVE what's to come, I promise!!! We get another POV change... but this time, it's far more sinister, hehe.

The Centennial Celebration is growing ever closer... and, as it does, so grows the issues cropping up into MC's life. The end to the first in the Mind Games series is also growing closer! Again, all we have left is Chapters 7-9 and the Epilogue!!! Super exciting!!!! EEP!!! I'm going to look into getting the game up on itch.io, if I can figure out how to!

OKAY! So! Patreon voted for Blake, Loche, and Iri for this month! Blake's spring scenario is already up, and is available at all tiers!

Other than that, I'm just reminding folks that the ask box is open!! And I do answer pretty much anything you send in! I crave interaction, hehehe!!! I am also considering doing a public Q&A in May as my birthday also happens to come in May, depending on how interested you guys would be for that!

Are you any good at singing? And, regardless of the previous answer, do you like singing? Alone, in the company, perhaps karaoke?

Wow. Sounds like I just hit another right spot! And now I'm curious... Could I maybe see some of the photos you took? Anyway, seems like the visual part of the world is quite important for you, and you're good at expressing yourself through visual images as well. And I'm pretty nervous whenever I'm the one at the sight of a camera; taking pictures is much easier, I do that rather often. I'm not really good at it, but it's a habit nonetheless, since the people I love mostly live far away, so photos are the only way to share new things and beautiful sceneries. Merely another way of communication. Like, my beloved sees things around me, and I see things around her, and it almost feels like we're not so far away.

Kvas and Volga are the best! No idea about okroshka though, I don't eat salads, so it's up to mum to make it (and how). Or not make it, I don't know (x

Why thank you 💞 I'll keep doing my best! And I usually watch walkthroughs, since my laptop's OS is Ubuntu, not Windows, so it's too tricky to download any games there, and we don't have PlayStation or anything. I wish I could play some games one day though. Returning to Undertale and Deltarune would be particularly nice. For now watching walkthroughs is sufficient, I guess. And Little Nightmares were so worth my time, it's incredible and beyond that.

A bit more news: yesterday I finally gathered the courage to contact the university, things start changing! Hopefully I'll send the documents they need in a few days, and then they'll return my documents to me so I can enter the university in my city. By the way, considering how likely it is that I won't get into the course with Chinese, do you think Spanish is a good choice? I mean, I'm going to continue learning Chinese as well, just not at the university. Knowing four languages (if we count Russian) by the time I graduate would be very nice anyway, but I'm still a bit hesitant to choose this fourth language. You learned Spanish, so I thought your opinion might help me a little.

Are there any reasons to panic? I get it's a joke, at least partially, but as they say, в каждой шутке лишь доля шутки (no idea if this has an English equivalent, to be honest), so I really feel the need to ask. Sleep and cocoa sound good though, especially now that you're working so hard. You deserve your rest, as well as those little yet very satisfying things (:

So what exactly are the size differences between boom and modern (height and weight)

I'm not very good at guessing height and weight since I'm bad with numbers in general- so if this seems waaay off, feel free to correct me and suggest something else lol

I've always seen Boom as shorter than modern because modern's got long sexy leggys and Boom's are shorter lol. I like to imagine Boom only reaching modern's tits so he has to tilt his head a bit to look up at him, so I'm probably picturing him as shorter than 5' 11" lol

As for weight difference- I don't think Boom is overweight for his height, he's in the range considered decent enough for it. Maybe he's not far off being overweight but due to the mass of his bulkiness with that barrel chest of his and all. He's around 160-70 lbs perhaps? Idk if that sounds about right, I'm not very good with estimations

Modern is more than a hundred pounds heavier. And a big difference is that whole lot of his weight is from his big belly alone, since a lot of the fat in his body clearly goes there with the attenuated limbs he has in comparison. Though some of it does go to his beautiful plump ass, tits and chubby cheeks too heheh 💜

As a result, his belly looks even bigger than men of regular proportions around his weight and height, so Boom would be very surprised by that. Modern has many body parts that are surprisingly larger than average. His hands, feet, tits, ass, and even his mustache are way bigger than Boom's! I headcanon that his insides are too, but they can't see those to compare lol

He makes Boom feel small when they're compared to each other. They might not have the biggest height difference but Eggman has even more of a difference in overall width. And Boom can't get over the way he's over a hundred pounds heavier because he'd never let himself get that heavy but he's intrigued and fascinated by seeing it on modern, so he comes to really admire it.

But I do also love to imagine the amusing but also exciting thought of Eggman being HUGE in comparison like X Eggman, who absolutely should've been considered much taller and heavier than game canon Eggman's height and weight. Not sure how much, but definitely more. That way modern would be a few feet taller than Boom and a few hundred pounds heavier too. >:) 💕

I like the idea of both the possibly more likely difference between them or it being much more extreme!

First impressions for the new Terraria 1.3 mobile update:

...it's been 3 long years. After a long time, Terraria's mobile version had finally been updated today! It is said that this update adds the functionalities the mobile version lacked compared to the PC version.

Fortunately, my phone was able to receive the long-awaited update. To be honest, I was worried for a while that I wouldn't be able to update it because there are app developers who just phase out 32 bit devices for new updates without caring for their users' feelings *cough* S.O. A. *cough*. But someone from the Terraria discord had pointed out that as long as the device has at least 1 gigabyte worth of RAM, the game would be updated for it. And lo and behold, I did get the update hours later! Yay! :)

This entry will focus on my first impressions of the UI and controls. I have work first thing tomorrow morning so I can't really say much about the new features I'd want to explore in the game yet. Even if I really, really want to play this more like, right now 'cause I decided to start from scratch!

The new UI overall looks quite stylish! Left one for example shows a screenshot of the old version's world generation screen. The one on the right is the new one. I think it means that my world will be a corruption world... nice! I like purple and I love the aesthetic of the corruption world in Terraria. The crimson world is too scary and eww for me lol!

The inventory screen has also drastically changed. Though admittedly, I feel that I should get used to the new UI a bit more. And I feel like I have to squint sometimes to see stuff in the new version. The new UI doesn't seem too friendly for devices with small screens. But I guess that's subjective. And after all, I can just use a magnifying glass over my 5.5 inch phone while playing Terraria in it right? Lol kidding!

The controls are really good though, function-wise! It does take time to get used to but I like how I can drag my thumb to mine stuff in different directions. That one is quite hard to do in the old version. But again, this can be subjective. And probably even quite overwhelming at first because, well, the UI as I've mentioned earlier isn't too friendly for people who have small screens. The updated controls UI is also subjectively prettier, probably because of the lack of that broken lines thingy outlining the virtual joysticks.

If there's just one huge flaw that I can point out so far regarding the new update, the world generation system is terrible in such a way that it takes waaaaaaay too long to generate a huge world in this new version. How terrible? Like 15 MINUTES TERRIBLE.

For reference, I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 Core. A mid-ranged octa-core phone with a 64 bit processor but 32 bit android OS yeah my phone manufacturer sucks in locking my 64 bit processor to 32 bit OS ugh. So yeah. This is kinda weird. But, well, if it means getting cool new features and a more complex game world as a result of the new generation system and considering it's just for creating/opening a world the first time, I guess we can put that aside.

Still, it would be nice if the devs could improve on that aspect, but I'm already thankful of what we have so far and I want to thank Terraria's devs for finally bringing this much-anticipated update for the mobile version, I'm excited to play this more over the weekend! :)

Book notes - There was no time left.

2nd Jan, Prologue.

I am doing research recently, and I feel like I don’t have much time left. 

1st Feb, A quite place.

Go to the quietest place in the world. “Sitting on a chair, no light, only the voice of a soothing ripple to the ears.. one of a moment you can’t compare.”

15th – 22nd Feb, A good week.

Yesterday my voluntary friend offered me a job on the eastern island of Indonesia, more precisely located in Wakatobi. My job is to document their survey for voluntary activities. I’m still in a doubt about the first offer, but when he said "all the cost will be paid by the committee” then I said yes immediately, haha. But what I think that this destined for me because till today I've never left java even at once. New friends, new people, new experiences, new places, all of the things that maybe I’ve not gotten so far. I’d never imagined having such a valuable adventure & experience such these.

24th Feb, About time.

Time is the most difficult thing to compromise. It's hard to guess where it's going. It’s also difficult to guess the way it walks. However, everyone also understands that their time is limited. Nothing is unlimited. Including the time that I have. Although everyone is always different in defining time into a definite count indeed, because “time is always relative. Time’s also a thing that most difficult to understand. But one thing that I understand, I have no time enough. I have no time to finish my research this semester.

Although, I can’t also blame the time. I once read an article published by the Harvard Business Review. The article states that if we count for example “one minute is the same as 60 steps”, and then we can step forward, backward, swerve from side to side, or even walk in the place, then if we look carefully, the size of time and steps are “the same” The only difference is the direction. So, it is not only a relatively small amount of time. But it depends on how you use it. Now the question is where do we want to take our steps so as not to lose time?

26th Feb, Madness.

I only have three months left, and making five chapters for that length of time, is a madness. Somehow, I must finish my study. The one that motivates me strongly is the cost surely. I just think the cost that I paid, is not worth being paid while I don't even have any classes. Of course, a lot of money, I don't want to become a burden for my parents anymore. I have savings actually, but if I have to pay my tuition, it doesn't seem like reached. I don't want to stop here for long, because I still have more plans to do.

27th Feb, Focus.

Considering that I don't have more time. So, the wise way is to be focused. But I didn't really know how to stay focused correctly, to be honest. There seems to be a lot of books that can decipher it, or at that time I wish that there’s someone who could explain it to me how the way it should be. Meanwhile, I’m here only with the sky, clouds, rocks, and that sea. Sometimes, I wish I could understand their language, it’ll be fun exactly. 

The simplest thing I know that the focus is only pointing to the one that is aimed, without any distraction which could move the focus itself. So the first step I do is to start not to open my social media. I don’t know, when I open my Instagram, I want to make a cinematic film, and that’s of course could distract my aim, as well as other social media. Fortunately, I'm not addicted to games online also. Anyway, I must stay focused.

1th Mar, Work.

"The only way to beat madness is being mad."

I’m working it day and night. Since a long time ago, my favorite timing in writing something is at after dawn and when I wake up from asleep. Because my brain felt like fresher and I feel like becoming Einstein at that time hh. I read a lot of books, I love this routine, just kidding..hh. I also phoned my friend for some discussion. Meeting Him, hoping, waking up, opening my laptop, typing, exercising, drinking coffee, reading books, talking with the clouds, dancing with the ocean, swimming with jellyfish, asking crabs for help, taking shelter under a coconut tree, looking at the birds.

30th March, Alhamdulillah.

I’m currently working on the last paragraph in my conclusion chapter. I don't know, maybe it seems I am too rushed to make it, there may be a lot of errors in my writing. But dang it, done is better than perfect. Even my friends don't believe it that I finished my thesis for only one month. HEYYY...........I don't believe it either😂.

Then, today I send my paper to my advisor, the last time I contacted him, was when I gave my introduction chapter to him, and he hasn't even replied to it yet. Let my advisor be shocked.. (Moga beliau gak berpikir kalo ini hasil dari pake jasa tesis, 

padahal kan iya hehehe..

31st March, Take a Rest.

After about two months, I’m not active on social media and I feel fine. I mean, the positive thing that I can take is it seems that I am ready if one day I’m in a phase where social media is no longer needed in my life, no longer that important for my life. Although, in this stage, I still need social media to be honest. 

2nd April, Mountain.

My home friend called me, he’s like my brother, he’s older than me. he asked me to accompanied him for climbing the mountain. I'm a little bit shocked firstly because as far as I know he's getting married in a few weeks. But I don't ask about it, I thought we better talk it at the mountain about what happened with his marriage.
