Best Ways to Troubleshoot Your Pcb
Has your PCB been malfunctioning for a while now? Now is the time for you to troubleshoot the problem in order to get it back to normal with its functionality. But how are you planning to do so?
Troubleshooting the PCB means extending the lifespan of the circuit. If you do it well, you can undoubtedly contribute to the overall improvement of your home’s electrical system. But since it is risky and also filled with lots of complications for a normal individual to get their hands on a PCB, it’s best to hire professionals offering control circuit board repair in Perth. They are qualified, trained, and experienced enough to perform this task in the best and most efficient manner possible.
Especially if the design of your circuit board has complex layouts, you should never try to get your hands on it, even for troubleshooting problems related to your PCB. It can be very difficult for you to get the job done, whereas it will be easy for a professional electrician. But if you want to try it out, consider going through the following tips for troubleshooting your PCB:
Mapping Out the Circuit Board
You can find a huge number of components connected to a circuit board through copper traces. You need to have the right diagram of the board to reach the PCB. But if you don’t have it, you should manually map it out by segregating every section. To do this, you need to have a good understanding of the schematics.
Visually Inspecting Surface Elements
If you see the generation of excessive heat from your circuit board, you should know that this is the biggest problem that causes it to fail. If you find that any of the components, solder joints, or traces are burned out, you can easily detect the root of the problem with no input power. But if the issues are not visible, you should use a magnifying glass or microscope.
Isolating Defective Components
Now is the time for you to isolate defective components. Inspect every component by setting an LCR meter to ohms and searching for defective components. Once you find them, isolate them the right way, or you can just hire professional electricians offering control circuit board repair in Perth to get everything handled and resolved in the best manner possible.
Troubleshooting your PCB may seem easy, but it is not. So, you should consider hiring the best electricians to get the job done. They are experienced and have the ultimate expertise to efficiently pull off this task. So, get in touch with them now and get started!

Types of Printed Circuit Boards Used in Air Conditioners
Printed circuit boards (PCBs) are indispensable components of contemporary air conditioning systems. They play a pivotal role in regulating the diverse functions of an air conditioner, encompassing temperature control, fan speed, and power management. Various types of PCBs are employed in air conditioners, with each designed to fulfill specific requirements.
Main PCB: The main PCB, as the name suggests, is the primary circuit board in an air conditioner. It is responsible for controlling all the critical functions of the system, including temperature regulation, fan speed, and power management. The main PCB is typically installed in the indoor unit of the air conditioner and is connected to the outdoor unit through a wiring harness.
Inverter PCB: Inverter PCBs are designed for air conditioners that use inverter technology. Inverter air conditioners are more energy-efficient than traditional systems and can maintain a more stable temperature. The inverter PCB is responsible for controlling the speed of the compressor motor, which is crucial for maintaining the desired temperature.
Display PCB: The display PCB is responsible for displaying the temperature and other system settings on the air conditioner's front panel. It is usually connected to the main PCB and receives information from it to display the relevant data.
Sensor PCB: The sensor PCB is responsible for monitoring the temperature and humidity levels in the room. It uses a combination of temperature and humidity sensors to provide accurate readings and communicate them to the main PCB.
Remote Control PCB: The remote control PCB is responsible for receiving and interpreting signals from the air conditioner's remote control. It is usually connected to the main PCB and uses an infrared sensor to detect signals from the remote control.
Power PCB: The power PCB is responsible for regulating the power supply to the air conditioner. It controls the voltage and current levels and ensures that the system is receiving the correct amount of power.
When it comes to maintaining your air conditioner's PCB, it's essential to hire a reliable and experienced HVAC company like Pioneers Heating and Air. Sun X Molten crack fic (Friend, best friend, whatever man. I just like see them hanging.)
Maybe ooc. I black out and see this. IDK what i wrote man, maybe very cringe. Sorry for anyone who read it.
What was right, what was wrong? It was hard to understand when you were literally built to kill.
Molten's icy blue eyes stared up at the gloomy ceiling. The animatronic bear had been hiding in the vents for too long before crawling out of boredom and confusion. Molten's existential crisis would come back every now and then, for he had too much time to rest unlike before, when he was just forcefully turning off all day.
The question of what he should do, and what he could do next, lingered in his mind. The steady clicking of gears and metal against metal, rumblings each of every step he took. He was still not used to these weakling skinny stringy legs, especially when Molten had been purely instinctive in moving wire-like movements like an octopus.
Being repaired felt strange, and his mind was too clear it made him felt wrong. The hunger for purpose still lingered in Molten’s core, only it was not as strong as someone’s hand was twisting his circuit board like before.
“Moon?-- Are you here? Oh— Molten?”
The shrill voice of a Daycare Attendant. Molten tilted his head to look back, the golden glow of the yellow animatronic seemed to brighten up the gloomy Parts and Services area.
This was Sun. Molten knew this person. He is Moon’s older brother. Sun… according to what was left in his memory data, is a kind and good person.
“H–Hello Sun. Why are you here?”
“Oh… I was just looking for Moon… to do something related to my magic. Is there any chance you know where Moon is, Molten?”
Sun's stuttering almost stuck together, their whole bodies stiffened and their laughter was too awkward, Molten's sensors could clearly see that Sun was tense, and judging by the pair of legs that seemed to be only a few steps away from the door, it looked as if Sun wanted to escape from Molten at any moment.
Molten didn’t understand why he felt a little sad, while he didn't know what sadness meant.
Perhaps it was because his appearance was too ugly, making even these kind people who wanted to fix him and give him a second chance, still didn't want to get any closer to him.
"Do you want me to help you find Moon? I'm very good at searching."
"Yeah... I know that..." Sun smiled awkwardly, and an awkward moment passed. There was nothing to say between the two, and the skills that Molten could only provide actually reminded Sun too much of their old bad memories.
About Ruin, about Nexus…
Molten, although he didn’t know much, was sensitive enough to be aware of situations, and he had heard quite a bit of things during these time, he knew that this was Sun’s difficult topic to talk about.
“I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable, Sun… I know I look terrible and you’re still afraid of me…”
Molten lowered his head, suddenly the ground looked easier to see than the rays of sunlight above Sun’s head.
“Wh–? What? Noo—no… Molten, you do nothing wrong...” Sun’s usual tense stuttering voice suddenly changed, in the white frosted glass, Molten could vaguely see Sun’s two pearly pupils staring at him seriously. “I don’t have any problems with you. It’s just that I… It’s that I–” Sun took a deep breath, his hands clasped together, Sun’s voice softened. “– I’m not good at interacting with new people. It makes me feel nervous. I just need everything under my control…”
Sun’s voice became softer and softer. The rays on Sun’s head also twitched rhythmically as if trying to breathe.
“Oh... I see." Molten mumbles. "So…” He whispers under his breath.
“You don’t hate or fear me, right Sun?” Molten asked curiously. A tingling sensation in his core, like satisfaction mixed with hopefulness.
Sun laughed, like what he said was really silly, “No? What have you done to deserve this treatment?”
“A lot…” Molten said slowly, the understanding echoing quietly like water flowing in a deep cave. A tired laugh came from Sun, Sun’s hand lightly bumping, too lightly, just a brush against Molten’s elbow.
“Sometimes there are things that can’t be fixed no matter how much you want to. You’ve changed, and that’s okay with me. I’ll never blame you for things that are out of your control… And you can ask Moon, Solar… or me if you need any help….”
The hum of the servo rang in Molten’s ears. The darkness was as bleak, and his chest was as empty and purposeless as ever. But the occasional phantom pain that swept through his code was soothing, like drinking a bowl of warm soup on a cold winter day.
Maybe it was the feeling of connection.
Maybe it was the feeling of having someone and not being alone.
“I still like following orders.” Molten hesitated. “It’s… sometimes good. It gives me purpose… Even if it’s just something the Creator put in to make me obedient.”
“And right now… even though I can do anything… I can’t think of anything.”
“It’s… empty.”
Sun just listened silently. Then, slowly, a soft groan comes out of Sun. The yellow animatronic folded their arms, it felt like they were trying to force out each word.
“I'm not the best at this, Molten. But…” Sun said softly. “I believe that in the end you will know what you want or what your new purpose is.”
"How can you be so sure?" Molten looked at Sun and saw through him. There were fragments that merged into celestial shards, condensed in Sun's eyes like a broken shooting star.
His friend is like him, but much stronger than him.
"Hey Molten… Why don’t you help me find Moon, and then we can watch a movie or something?” Sun's invitation sounded like an olive branch, like a key that broke the boundary between Molten's prison and freedom.
‘To make you feel less lonely, to give you some purposes to work with.’
‘Because I understand the feeling of hopelessness and emptiness when you have nothing to cling to?’
That was Sun’s unspoken words.
“You know you can hang out with me whenever you want, right?”
‘I’ll be here if you need me.’
What a good person. Molten thought. The kind of one would easily break under any bad situation. But Sun is still standing, and that is truly admirable.
“Can we watch a movie?” Molten asked curiously, his hands touching each other, unconsciously imitating Sun’s movements.
“Sure, what kind of movie do you like?”
“Human Centipede? Or we can watch ***, or ****, or ****** ****”
Sun froze. Sun’s overly expressive face, mixed with confusion, disbelief, and anger, made Molten begin to understand why Solar and Moon liked to tease Sun so much.
“Molten.” Sun smiled, but his eyes weren’t smiling at all. “Who told you those movie names?”
“Moon.” Molten threw Moon under the car without hesitation. The truth was that he only happened to see it when Moon connected him to the Internet, but it almost made Sun relax, so that was a plus in Molten’s opinion.
“Eh– Let’s go find Moon and then we can go watch a movie. I really need to say something to Moon…” Sun muttered, seemingly about to explore. Sun’s rays spun dancingly. It looks fun. Molten wondered if he asked, will Sun let him touch and play with them?
“Let’s go Molten.” Sun’s cheerful voice rang out and for a moment, a gentle sound swipes in Molten’s mind.
‘Sun is my light. Without him I would be lost”.
And yet even with Sun, Nexus went insane. Molten never understood why Nexus kept refusing people’s help, and chose to walk down a more destructive path like that. Then again, maybe, it is the Moon thing across all the multiverses.
Molten wondered. If Nexus let go of his links so easily like that, can Molten take his place and hold this little light a little bit for himself?
‘Can you be the one who stays with me, Sun?’

Tamagotchi Uni Circuit Board Power Off Switch
The Tamagotchi community is filled with some of the most creative people! You already saw that Orange_night on Reddit modified their Tamagotchi Uni to feature a power off switch, well now another member of the community has also created a solution.
Marcelmono on Reddit has just announced that they have created a little circuit board that will allow your Tamagotchi Uni to fully power off! Marcelmono was Abel to research the Tamagotchi Uni schematics and looked up the power-regulating chips specification to figure it all out. The modification will require some soldering to install what they’re calling the “Patchi-OFF!” board.
How does it work exactly? Well here’s the technical jargon provided from Marcelmono:
Test points are accessible pads outside of a circuit in order test the function of said circuit after manufacturing.
A chip on the Uni that regulates power has a pin/input named “SHDN” (Shutdown).
The variant of the chip the Uni uses needs a “high” voltage applied to the “SHDN” pin to initiate the shutdown.
By connecting the 3V3 (3,3 Volt) test point to the SHDN test point, a “high” voltage is applied to the chips “SHDN”-pin/input and it shuts down the Uni.
The Patchi-OFF! board connects those two test points, but only if the conductive pad on the bottom of the rubber reset button presses down on the contacts on the board and completes the circuit.
Marcelmono is selling both the Patchi-OFF! Tamagotchi Uni Shutdown button circuit board for €7, and a Tamagotchi Uni Patchi-OFF! Shutdown button installation service on your existing Tamagotchi Uni for €25! Both are available on Marcel’s Tama Spa & Repair Ko-Fi page.

Aftermath Of The Attack
(small spoilers for yesterday's SAMS episode, also have a follow up fic to the event (could also be considered a followup to this one))
——————————————————————————
Sun was at the house playing with Jack, Dazzle and even Molten had joined in with them, when he heard muffled shouting near the door. Looking up he saw Monty and Solar. Monty was carrying something that he quickly realized was Moon.
As he stood he asked Jack, Dazzle and Molten to go up to their room for a bit, the three agreeing and going up as Sun went to open the door.
“Monty? Solar? Moon, what's going-”
“Ask questions later, move.”
Sun stepped back as Solar and Monty rushed inside to the couch, Sun following.
“Guys what's going on?” He stopped and looked down at Moon.
He was curled up tight, the back of his head lightly smoking and his whole body shaking. Sun could feel a faint wave of negative energy coming off of him.
The feeling made him grip the back of the couch as he asked again.
“What happened to him?”
Solar left to get something cold for Moon's head, leaving Monty to answer.
“I don't know entirely but I heard screamin’ from Parts and Service. I went to check it out ‘n found Nexus holdin’ him down. Threatened to shoot ‘im if he didn't step off and he left. I don't know what the bastard did to ‘im but he nearly broke his circuit board in half. I think the bastard tried to kill ‘im.”
That made something tighten in Sun's stomach. This was twice now that Moon had encountered Nexus, but this is the first time he's actually hurt him so badly.
“Is Earth here? Or Lunar?” He heard Monty ask.
He managed to shake his head no, stuck in his thoughts as he stared down at Moon, shaking horribly like he was freezing.
“Luckily we managed to hold ‘im down long enough to saulder the board together again and had to repair a little in the cylinder thing.” Monty said.
“And he kept screaming “I'm sorry, I'm sorry Johnathan. No idea why though.” Solar mentioned as he came back with a cold cloth.
Sun swallowed hard as he sat down next to the couch.
“Johnathan was one of the few kids that wasn't scared of Moon. He took a liking to the kid. He found out things weren't good in his home and one night he snuck out, followed him home to see what the problem was…whatever happened there Johnathan never came back to the daycare. He never left that house alive again…I don't know if Moon killed him, or someone else did. But it's torn him up ever since. Not as bad as it used to but it still bothers him now and then…”
“So that's why…” Solar muttered to himself..
“His system is cooling down a bit…his battery's pretty low too…”
“S…un…?”
He looked over to Moon, his brother trying to weakly reach for him.
Sun moved to kneel in front of the couch and placed a hand on his shoulder, firm and comforting. He saw now that Moon's eyes were completely dark- had the encounter left him blind too?
Trembling fingers lightly grasped his wrist, the shaking easing a bit when they did.
“S…ta…y…”
Then he completely shut down, body relaxing a little as he did.
Sun sighed, staying for a moment before going to get the portable charger.
“Someone…hurt Moon?”
Sun looked to the door of his bedroom, Molten standing at the frame.
“I thought I asked you to stay with Jack and Dazzle.”
“They are…napping. Who hurt him.”
Sun sighed. “Molten, you can't go after him. As much as we'd like to see someone hand his ass to him, if you tried he'd kill you easy. Not to mention the dragon…we aren't entirely sure where he even is anyway so trying to find him right now would be pointless.”
“But Moon will be fine,” Sun said, more to reassure himself than anyone else. “We'll make sure he's OK, Molten. For now just stay with the others. If they ask just…tell them Moon isn't feeling too good right now, ok? Please?”
Molten was quiet. He made a promise to himself to protect his friends, his family.
“Fine…but will you…tell me…if you find…anything?”
“I don't know. Maybe? That might be more for Moon or Solar to decide though. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it though. For now just go on to your room, alright? Moon will be ok, he just needs to rest for a few days is all.”
Sun left the room, coming downstairs again. Solar had already covered Moon with a blanket, while Monty was trying to explain to Earth, in the best way possible, what had happened.
Telling Lunar would be trickier, to try and not let him get too worked up.
Sun hooked Moon up to the charger and sat by the couch again, watching Moon silently as he charged.
“Next time you meet him, I'll be there. Maybe this time I can protect you from him…”
-end-

Troubleshooting & repair of a DIFFERENT old camcorder - audio & power issues - part 1
If there is one thing about me it is that I love old camcorders.
Device: JVC GR-250U MiniDV Camcorder
Symptoms: Issues charging, "Unit in Safeguard Mode" warning, unable to rewind, audio playback cuts in & out on inner speakers/AV out (FireWire transfer fine)
Service Manual: https://elektrotanya.com/jvc_gr_d250.rar/download.html#dl
TL;DR: Power stuff mostly handled, audio stuff not handled, I hate soldering tiny micro components
Well this camcorder actually started borking it about 2 years ago and I only now could be bothered to open it up and try and figure out what's up. First things first, I focused on the power issues, because I realized there's a chance the audio issue is a result of the power issues. Power issues do all sorts of stuff. You never know.
Now that I have a multimeter the first steps I took were:
Confirmed A/C adapter is outputting the voltage it's supposed to (confirmed)
Opened it up - this was a nightmare, I might make a teardown video at some point to walk people through it because it was SO annoying even WITH the schematics PDF
Tried to confirm voltages on various parts of the board (this was difficult because the circuits are really complicated and the schematic diagrams are A Lot, but it looked to me like for the most part everything was getting the expected voltages when powered on)
At this point I kinda got stuck so I did the tried and true method of "watch some videos of people who know what the fuck they're doing troubleshooting a similar piece of technology" and found this -
youtube
First off, I am jealous about how much easier that camcorder is to tear down than mine was, but anyway. In this case, the issue was a blown fuse. I realized I hadn't even thought to check or look for fuses on my camcorder, so I did that.
And sure enough: the first fuse I saw in big yellow letters labeled on the circuit board, F6001, when I tested across it there was no continuity. Looking at the schematics sheet this fuse is like the first point of failure right off the main power before it goes to just about every other part of the device, including and especially the battery, so that would explain most of the issues I've had with powering it. It also explains why the software stuff worked fine but it would fail when it had to do something mechanically taxing like rewinding a tape - bigger power draw, I imagine.
ANYWAY, just like the guy in the video, I decided I should just try to jumper across it to make it work. I was very idealistic at this time and thought if it worked I could order a replacement fuse and then properly install that.
I had not yet learned how much of a fucking nightmare soldering this stupid thing was going to be.
After 3 hours of my life that I will never get back, I have the ugliest solder job known to man, and have melted several adjacent components, but luckily not damaged them:
Perhaps you don't have a good sense for just how infuriatingly tiny this stupid thing is. Here is my thumb for scale.
I know the picture is blurry as hell. My phone didn't want to zoom in this much because of how freaking tiny this stupid shit is. Anyway. It's fine. I did it. Somehow. Eventually. Very, very eventually.
Verifying the jump was also a pain because there are absolutely no obvious connection points immediately after the fuse on this side of the board, and I cannot emphasize enough how annoying it is to take this circuit board out and access the backside, but whatever, it's fine, I found a capacitor on the backside that worked as a point to test the connection and was able to verify on like my 3rd fucking attempt that I actually soldered across the dumb thing.
I am absolutely not replacing this with another fuse. If it gets overloaded and explodes at some point that's just the will of the gods.
ANYWAY, once that was done I put it mostly back together to test it out. And I am actually pleased to report the power issues are much better. If it's plugged into the A/C directly there are no issues, and even on battery power it seems to charge more, hold a charge better, and give me the "UNIT IN SAFEGUARD MODE" error way less frequently. I have still gotten the error, but I wonder if that will go away if I get a new battery or just do a full battery charge + drain to 0 cycle a couple times. It's much more usable now which is good.
Unfortunately this did not solve the audio issue. I am going to have to learn a lot more about reading schematic sheets to figure out the audio issue. One hint I have is that looking at the outputs from the audio chip, the outputs for the speaker and the A/V out ARE COMPLETELY SEPARATE PINS AND CIRCUITS. Which means since I am getting the same symptom on both, the issue lies somewhere between reading from the tape and getting to that audio chip, in all likelihood.
I will further troubleshoot the audio issue another day. For today I have had enough with this stupid tiny circuit board and its dumb small components.

I am kinda nervous since talking to them poorly can get me into trouble. But I said it all in this letter and I feel I am justified given everything I have gone through these past few years. Here's the letter I wrote, different sections were to fill out different things like what my complaint is about, what happened, how it left me, and how I want them to handle it
"Property condition, repair company, your inadequacies."
"On Friday at 7:30 pm I lost power to my flat, I had to call the emergency repair service to come fix it and found out my circuit board was melting, they removed all power to my flat. A little while later I was called and was told you would be sorting this as an urgent emergency repair on Monday.
I had no power, I couldn't bathe, I lost a fridge and freezer full of food, I was quite literally in the dark, I had to spend £10 a day buying hot food to eat every day as I couldn't store or cook anything. Eventually Monday arrives, I call Axis, notice I had to call you. I was then told this urgent emergency repair that would be seen to first thing that morning, which wasn't by the way, the state in which you legally couldn't leave me. I now had to wait until Tuesday morning to get power back, and was given a normal repair time of between 8 and 1. So I had to go a further day without bathing, being able to cook or store food, charge my phone, use electric, hot water, nothing.
The repair men finally finished their work at around 10:20 am on the Tuesday, but because of how long the fridge and freezer take to cool, I still had to buy hot food for the day so I could eat. Money I should be saving. But after your repair men left, which by the way, they saw my cat food, they saw the cat toys and scratch mats, I even brought it up to your operator on Friday that I had cats. They left plastic tubing cut offs littered all over the floor, that my cats could have ingested and been very harmful. But not only that, a while later I saw a ton of small, sharp, copper clippings littered all over the floor too. Your repair men left these all over my floor, knowing I had cats, and it is just fortunate I found them before my cats did.
Do you want to know what's absolute bullshit. You sit there and demand respect of me, you demand kindness, consideration, understanding. You have a zero tolerance abuse policy towards your staff. But what the fuck about your tenants. Where are our rights. Where is our consideration and wellbeing. Look at how you people have treated me since literally day one of me moving here. Look at what you have put me through. Look at what I have endured. Look at the suffering I have gone through at the hands of your neglect, while you fight me at every corner. And you don't even have it in you to apologise. The Ombudsman ordered you to right an apology, not for what I feel you did to me, not for what I feel you put me through, not for what I feel I suffered. No. It was a letter of apology for what you *DID* put me through. It was a letter of apology for what you *DID* do to me. It was a letter of apology for what I *DID* suffer. You still haven't sorted out the roof. You said someone would be working this case for me and chasing things for me, I'd love to tell you who that is but I haven't heard from them. So the fact you have the gal to sit there and demand of me what you have never given me? To treat you in a way you have never treated me? To speak to you in a way you have never spoken to me? To consider you in a way you have never considered me? You get what you give. And that's a whole lot of bullshit.
I had no power for the end of Friday, all of Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday morning. I could not bathe. I lost all my food. I had to spend so much extra money to eat every day. Then to finish it off you attempted to kill my cats. Fuck you."
"I lost all my foot, I couldn't bathe, go to the gym, my diet was screwed, I was living in the dark, I had to rely on my family and take from them, I had to spend extra money I didn't have, I constantly smelled, felt disgusting, and am now having to spend even more money to get everything back. And you are incredibly fortunate this didn't end in an emergency vet bill."
"Actually write my letter of apology. Deal with what the Ombudsman told you to do. Actually stick to your word for once and mean what you say. Treat me with an ounce of respect, care, and consideration. And apologise for the more recent hell and your severe negligence and mishandling of the situation."
Like I said, I can't deny I am slightly nervous. But as I said. The audacity of them to sit there and demand all this shit from me and j essentially treat them like gods, when they have literally done this to me since day one of me living here? I have suffered all I have suffered since day one, non-stop, cause of how they have treated me and fought me every step of the way. Then they demand *MY* respect and consideration? No. They don't even play by their own fucking rules. Neither will I.

sometimes, when i open up old electronics and video game consoles to repair them, I'm struck by how simple their circuit boards are. Maybe simple isn't the right word. Undense, with traces you could follow with your bare hands. They'rev designed large enough to be worked on by humans with hand tools. I think there's a beautiful quality about that, that's lost in present-day, disposable, ultra-compact, non-user-servicable electronics.
Is that kind of what it's like to be objectum? Perceiving the tender relationship between user and interface?
it can be! honestly with me it's usually more surface level. i see objects and think they're just cute and kissable. but sometimes i do appreciate how intimate some tech is.
