Tumblr media
A battle airplane of the Nigerian military strutted the strained Orlu people group in Imo State on Tuesday and today (Wednesday) in an offer to find and draw in agents of the Eastern Security Network blamed for killing troopers and causing pandemonium in the territory. The airplane grabbed the eye of the occupants, who accepted that the airplane was shipped off find and connect with the ESN agents.

SaharaReporters saw a video of the military airplane drifting over the territory on Tuesday.
“A helicopter has been conveyed in Orlu. The military helicopter has been drifting over regular citizen homes. They should go to the woods and connect with the ESN agents. There is strain all over,” an inhabitant, who didn’t wish to be distinguished, said.
On Tuesday, the Indigenous People of Biafra blamed the Nigerian Army for killing five honest occupants of Okporo in the Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.

Since last Friday, there has been an emergency in Orlu after a conflict between ESN officials and troopers brought about the passings of individuals. The fighters apparently couldn’t capture any of the ESN agents who purportedly overwhelmed the military, supposedly in light of their utilization of customary forces. The officers were said to have removed with one of them being found in a viral video saved by certain regular people and taken into a private firm for wellbeing from the rampaging ESN agents.
The security organizations were said to have arranged a response. Witnesses detailed irregular shooting while occupants sought shelter to evade stray shots. Five people, including a moderately aged lady, were said to have been murdered by stray slugs from weapons of the Nigerian Army while a few properties were copied. The fighters were supposed to be drawn from the 34 Artillery Brigade in Obinze.

On Tuesday, some senior legislators in Imo State additionally censured the pulverization of lives and property in Orlu because of the conflict, while requesting that the public authority reestablish peace. The partners in a delivery had requested equity for those killed by the military, adding that the state lead representative, Hope Uzodinma, should show initiative at “this crucial time”.
The delivery was endorsed by Okechukwu Nwanguma, Victoria Ibezim-Ohaeri, Dr Sam Amadi, Fabian Okoye, Stanley Ibe, Dr Walter Duru, Tony Opara, Chidi Igwe and Ogechi Ikeh.

Group calls for more inclusive, responsive governance
Tumblr media
Vice President, Corporate Communications/CSR, Airtel Nigeria, Emeka Opara, has lamented upsurge in the number of youths seeking migration outside the country. Opara, who was speaking during NALT Club’s biennial Harris Convention, recently in Lagos, also appealed to them to stop the trend. He made the presentation in a paper entitled: Between Migration and Entrepreneurship: Youth Challenges and Opportunities in Nigeria. While highlighting a five-point agenda as a guide to strengthening entrepreneurship in Nigeria, Opara, charged the youths not to belief that grass is always greener outside the shores of the country. He advised young entrepreneurs to always start-up small and expand the business scope as they improve their knowledge of the industry they are engaged in and should never see capital as an obstacle. “This is our country, we have to stay here and defend it. We should not run it down even in the social media. There is need for young entrepreneurs to use the social media effectively and positively ensure customer service and strive to build a brand through niches as the core to successful business,” he said. Chairman, Board of Trustees, of the group, Bob Eze, who explained rationale for establishing the club, added that its primary objective was to defend those who could not defend themselves. “We are the last line between the oppressors and the oppressed through our voices and actions and where necessary put our resources at the disposal of the defenceless,” he said. Opara said NALT does not believe in violence, but in strategic and intellectual approach to addressing societal anomalies, The NALT Club is an international non-profit making civil society movement of Nigerian professionals and academia across the globe. It was formed among other objectives to strengthen and improve communities through social justice and fair play – advocating for all people, regardless of background and promoting accountability and stability in leadership, governance and public services. The convention, attended by members from within and outside the country, was aimed at strengthening governance and accountability mechanisms as well as opportunity for it to engage in charity work through its corporate social responsibility and humanitarian activities. Earlier, Board of Trustee, Vice Chairman of the club, Chidi Nwokabia, who read the message of the club founder, appreciated the selfless service and altruistic contributions of members to the growth of the club.
