Manwe's relationship with Melkor is by no means cut and dry but like. Manwe was head of the 'Let Melkor fuck around and brutalize and enslave people for centuries as long as he stays off our lawn' committee. That's going to make it hard for people to really buy that Manwe has a hardline attitude towards his brother.
Note: I am making my own post specifically to minimize yucking others' yum. Please extend the same courtesy to me.

I'm genuinely curious about the Yavanna/Melkor pairing. What inspired you to put these two together? Are there going to be more fics centered around the two of them in the future?
Admittedly it wasn't my idea at all. @demonscantgothere suggested the ship on the server a while ago and shared this gorgeous artwork by @ylieke that gave us a lot of thoughts and feelings.
I've been thinking about the pairing since then and the first thing that came to mind was the spring/summer vs. fall/winter dynamic. Yavanna is the Queen of the Earth and created the kelvar and olvar, she's Mommy Mother Nature if you will, while Melkor is responsible for the existence of snow and frost. In general, Yavanna is all about life and growing things, whereas Melkor introduced death, decay and natural disasters which at first glance just destroy and kill her creations, but are actually an important part of nature if you look at the big picture, one example being volcanoes and how they provide fertile soil.
It's similar to the light vs. darkness dynamic between Melkor and Varda and you could even draw parallels to Melkor and Nienna (evil vs. good, cruelty vs. mercy, wrath vs. patience, etc.). With Varda and Yavanna more so than with Nienna there's some inherent enmity and dislike which can lead to either opposites attract or an odd fascination with one another or at least spicy hate sex. I think you can apply this idea to all sorts of Melkor ships actually, he's an excellent foil to pretty much every Ainu (even Mairon - order vs. chaos, fire vs. ice) and probably at least a few Incarnates too (for example Fëanor, though in his case Melkor would hone in on their similarities).
Another interesting observation in regards to Melkor and Yavanna are the similarities between Melkor and Aulë - as we see in "Of Aulë and Yavanna", their relationship also has a certain element of friction and opposition to it. You could go as far as to say that Aulë is the more "agreeable", "chill" and "domestic" version of Melkor, the one you can settle down and have a decent marriage with, while Melkor is the one for hot (literally) and spicy hate sex. You could easily take Yavanna's canon marriage as "evidence" that she has a thing for men she can argue with...
So yeah, there certainly are some interesting things to explore with this ship and I'm definitely down to write more about them in the future. At least I can say that (as is the case with pretty much every ship involving Ainur) y'all are always welcome to give me prompts for them for drabble challenges/prompts lists/other events🖤

I was researching how many Maglors are out there on Tumblr and come across MBTI posts. I have to say the different interpretations of different fans are fascinating. And I'm again surprised how diverse is Maglor's typing in different posts. I saw ISFJ, ISFP, INFJ and INFP often. Not many extroverted types, I come across one ENFJ.
I'm going to add my own headcanons.
I see Fëanor as ENTP (Ne-Ti-Fe-Si), Ne-dom suit him well and in my head he is like noldorin Tony Stark. Witty genius with big ego. In contrast I perceive Nerdanel as INFJ (Ni-Fe-Ti-Se), with her secondary Fe she can activate Fëanor's tertiary Fe and his more caring and tender part. He help her develop her tertiary Ti (which is his secondary function). I believe his underdeveloped Fe and Si caused problems with his family. I really hope he's reembodied at some point and can grow these functions more. I think he started to learn with Nerdanel, but was influenced by enviroment and Melkor and spiral into unhealthy ENTP.
I think of Maedhros as ESTJ (Te-Si-Ne-Fi). But not the outgoing nor controlling type. I certainly see him as Te-dom more than Si-dom. I like to imagine Fingon as ESTJ too, being the same-type pair and Fingolfin as ISTJ (Si-Te-Fi-Ne). I think Maedhros can understand reasoning of Fingolfin far better than Fëanor. Perhaps if the relationship between Fëanor and Fingolfing would be better, Fingolfin and Maedhros would be close. I think his relationship with his father is complicated, because Maedhros can be quite similar to Fingolfin and it sometimes trigger Fëanor. Sadly he is very different from Nerdanel too and I can't imagine them as great friends in adulthood, they are too different, although they love each other.
Finally our chameleon Maglor. I always saw him as ENFP (Ne-Fi-Te-Si). Ne-dom like his father. They are closer in mind than Fëanor and Maedhros. At least in creative process, discussing new artistic ideas. Fëanor wasn't jist engineer he was also linguist and I think he liked to discuss poetry with Maglor. Maglor was close with his mother too. ENFP-INFJ is great pair and can learn a lot from each other. Maglor and Maedhros grew closer when Maglor get older and especially during war, which certainly developed Maglor's Te-Si more. Using it for strategical reasons. Maglor's Ne-Fi probably used to trigger Maedhros a lot when they were children, same with Maedhros Te-Si. It provide them with great opportinuty for growth later in life.
I think he punished himself by goinng into isolation. Maedhros jump in lava, because he believed he deserve it. Maglor goes into isolation, because he believe he deserve it too. What is worse for extrovert than being forever alone? What is worse for singer than not being heard?
Celegorm is ISTP (Ti-Se-Ni-Fe). I think he is rather solitary by choice, understand animals more than humans, not talking much with people unless provoked. Not bad at diplomacy, but not particulary understanding of the whole point of diplomacy. He would rather just say things the way it is. Animals are always honest. He and Maglor are like water and oil, they never can get together and always brew conflict.
Sadly he left before he grow up enough to start developing his Ni-Fe and get closer to his mom. His relationship with Nerdanel has potential, they have same functions in different order and if is Celegorm reborn, he might find growth with his mother. Learn a lot from each other perspectives like Maedhros and Maglor who have the same type of relationship.
Caranthir is ISFP (Fi-Se-Ni-Te). Because of his Fi, he can understand Maglor pretty well. Maglor just wish Caranthir would be born sooner. He get along with Maedhros too, ISFP-ESTJ is relationship in similar fashion to their parents ENTP-INFJ, the same principle apply. I think his name don't speak only about quick temper, but also about being more shy and easy to blush than others. Which Celegorm loved to do, when they were children. Poking at Caranthir and making him blush, scream in anger or cry. He was sensitive, moody and observant child. He is quite outgoing for introverted type, not the typical sitting in corner introvert, but he can be perceived as distant.
More tactful than Celegorm and good at reading people reactions and emotions, still harsh and quick to anger. He forged alliance with dwarves, therefore must be capable of diplomacy. I love the headcanon he like embroidery. It's artistic and sensory, sound like something ISFP might like. I think later during war he grew closer with Celegorm and Curufin and created a bridge between Maglor and Celegorm. He get along with everybody in family, but his parents who didn't understand him.
Curufin is INTP (Ti-Ne-Si-Fe). Of course he was close to Fëanor and surprisingly close to Celegorm. Celegorm and Curufin really get each other because of their dominant Ti. He was trying to be charming just as Fëanor, but it doesn't work out very well. Because his Fe is so low. Fëanor's linguistic talent goes to Maglor and his technical talent goes to Curufin. Celegorm can ground Curufin to reality. However they disagree about how things should be done, because of their difference in secondary/tertiary functions. Although the way they process information is similar.
Amrod and Amras. I don't have many headcannons about them. I agree one of them can be ESFP (Se-Fi-Te-Ni). Energetic, cheerful and reckless hunter, popular among peers. I think he is close with Maglor, both being extroverted perceivers in family and close to Caranthir too. Get along with Celegorm reasonably well. Interesting to see how Caranthir sort of tie everybody together. I don't know about the other Ambarussa brother and his type. I have to admit I don't think about these two enough. They deserve better. I feel like Maedhros should have somebody in family who is similar to him. I would make the other Ambarussa ISTJ, there is big age difference between them, but Maedhros can be his mentor.
It's interesting to see it written down. Fëanorians are really heavy on Ti! What do you think?
Probably has been done before
But I just wanted to give it a go. So! Feanorians MBTI. I tried to keep it as canon as possible, but is obviously influenced by personal opinions and headcanons
Feanor: INTP (ANALYST): The Logician (Innovative inventors with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge). Most conceptual. Thoughtful, upbeat, scattered. / The Champion: Empathetic, enthusiastic, and energetic. Need affirmation from others, and quickly give appreciation and support. Often seen as inspirational leaders, though they don’t see themselves that way. Emotional and sensitive.

Theatrical, daring, reckless. / The Performer: Outgoing, friendly, and accepting. Love being the center of attention. Highly aware of the feelings of others, takes great pleasure in making others happy. Fun, impulsive and adventurous.
I’m still not 100% convinced with Maedhros and Maglor though. Any ideas?
