Black Car Services in Dallas: What to Expect
Black car services in Dallas are a favorite of both residents and guests because of their convenience, comfort, and sophistication. Graceful, elegant, and professional these services suit the business traveler as well as those who are celebrating a special event. But, what do you get when you get to book a black car service in Dallas for yourself? So without further ado, let’s look at some of the deeper elements to assist you in making a decision.
What is a Black Car Service?
A black car service can be defined as a luxury ride-hailing service that offers both professional drivers and classy automobiles and is usually colored black. Such services are often linked with quality, elegance, and personalized he or she would require when dealing with the business. Dallas black car services cover airport rides, business meetings, conferences, weddings, and tours.
Pricing and Special Offers of Black Car Service Dallas.
1. Luxury Vehicles
Another major aspect of black car services has to do with the cars that are available for service. Towing will be on par with other luxury automobiles such as the Cadillac Escalade, Mercedes Benz S Class, and Lincoln Navigator among others. These vehicles are well maintained specifically with regard to cleanliness and sanitation before the trip.
2. Professional Chauffeurs
The black car services Dallas has professional and professionally trained chauffeurs within the company. These drivers respect safety and estimate time while focusing on customer satisfaction so that you get to your destination safely and with little or no delay. In this case, most drivers are usually very familiar with the area around Dallas and can make good recommendations on where to go and how to avoid traffic.
3. Punctuality and Reliability
As can be guessed, time is tight, especially for business people or those with flights to catch. Black car services always aim to be precise. You will agree with me that these services are ever ready to pick you up from the airport or maybe you have an important meeting to attend.
4. Customizable Experience
Regarding this, most black car services contain customized services to ensure that they solve your needs. For example, one can order preferred car brands, extra services such as Internet access or entertainment, as well as organize certain events. Most importantly, the emphasis is on usability and free from the stress journey of consumers.
5. Easy Booking Options
It has never been easier to make your first black car service Reservation in Dallas. Most companies today come with interface solutions that allow one to book a ride, select the type and model of the car one prefers, and keep track of one driver in real-time on an app or website. You can also use the search words: Black Car Service Near Me to get the services that are nearest to your area.
Why Hire a Black Car Service Company in Dallas?
Dallas is a very active city that offers unique opportunities for both business and commerce as well as evening entertainment. It becomes difficult to walk around through the different lanes within the city or as a first-timer. Black car services are perfect to avoid the hassles of driving by providing you with schedule convenience instead of the traffic.
Ideal for Business Travelers
Dallas is known as the corporate America headquarters and it plays host to many conferences every year. In terms of business-related travel, Black Car Service Dallas aside from projecting the right image, guarantees timely delivery of services. Some of them also provide convenience features like charging points and wireless connectivity so as to allow for working in the car.
Perfect for Special Occasions
About weddings, prom, and anniversaries when arriving or going somewhere, what can be more stylish than a luxurious car? Black car services guarantee that apart from making a grand entry you will enjoy the comfort of a tasteful ride.
Hassle-Free Airport Transfers
Two big airport facilities that serve the region are the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport often known as DFW and Dallas Love Field or DAL. Black car services are perfect for airport transportation since they will track the status of the flight to ensure they provide transportation services when the flight is still on the ground or when it has reached the terminal or even provide curbside service.
How to Choose Local Black Car Service
When searching for “Black Car Service Near Me,” it’s important to consider a few factors:
Reputation: Read maps on the web and clients’ feedback to compare the quality of provided services.
Fleet Options: Make sure that the company you select deals in the type of vehicle you are interested in.
Pricing: Even black car services are expensive; therefore comparing the prices in order to look for a service that offers an affordable price.
Customer Support: Select organizations with friendly and responsible customer service when it comes to quality services, complaints, or any other issues.
Tips for a Smooth Experience
To make the most of your Black Car Service Dallas:
Book in Advance: Although most services provide an appointment on the spot, booking guarantees a spot.
Communicate Your Needs: Any special requests detailed as and where necessary; e.g. child seat or any other stop required.
Confirm Details: It is also important to confirm the details of the pickup service such as the time of the pickup, the location for the pickup, and the phone number of the service provider.
Be Ready: Remember to be punctual to your set time lest you inconvenience the chauffeur during his or her working period.
Conclusion
Black car service in Dallas means better than just a ride; it is the luxury, comfort, and reliability all in one package. These services for available for corporate individuals, tourists, or anyone who is in town for a business purpose or a special occasion. You can even enter ‘Black Car Service Dallas’ or ‘Black Car Service Near Me’ to get a service that guarantees that each ride is comfortable and enjoyable.

My Dragoncon ADVENTURE (slightly abridged)
Or, "how this trip was entirely cursed." This is so long, so cutting it.
I have wanted to go to Dragoncon for decades, but I live far away and the cost has always been hideously prohibitive. But this year, the stars fell into place and ya girl had enough money to go. Tickets bought, plane tickets bought, cheap hotel booked, gonna grab Lyfts to and from because my childhood memories of Atlanta traffic told me this was NOT an option.
So I get to the airport on Thursday 2 hours early. Line up at the gate to figure out where I needed to be.
My flight had been canceled. I'd received notice THAT DAY from the third party site I booked through that I was good to go. So I sit on hold with them for 45 minutes because babies, I have nothing but time. Meanwhile I'm booking a same day flight, which leaves about 2 hours later, has a stop in DC, and then off to ATL (side note, not having a direct flight to ATL is stupid, I have NEVER not been routed through there).
Get the booking sorted with American Airlines, prepare to wait. I have books, I have headphones, emergency granola bars...we're fine. Get to DC, about 2 hours layover, grab some truly disgusting chili and settle down.
Check email. Flight from DC to ATL canceled. Go to customer service, which is ofc a ginormous line (This will be a theme). They give us handouts essentially saying, "please just go on the website." I do. Next flight they can offer is the next afternoon...with a 10 hour layover in Dallas Ft. Worth. Look at a map and explain that to me.
I'm still in line for the customer service desk, because maybe they have a better option. They do not. They can get me there Saturday afternoon!
Did I mention I have a 4-day pass and a hotel booked from Thursday to Tuesday? Glad I'm made of cash.
So I book a flight with Delta, get a hotel near DCA that has a shuttle service, and go to grab my bags.
I do not get to leave the hellscape of DCA until 10:30 p.m. I got to my local airport at 10:30 a.m. This should have taken about half that time with the last minute booking. I can’t leave because they made me check my single carryon because every aspect of air travel is designed to be the worst possible experience. And ofc since the plane was canceled due to weather, the baggage carriers can't unload the plane in case Thor seeks his revenge on puny mortals.
So we all wait in the endless hell of DCA's baggage claim. It is a desolate prison with approximately 5 seats. The rest of us are sitting on concrete floors for hours while occasionally, maybe every 20 minutes a single bag will make it off the plane and onto the conveyor belt.
I use this time to call my other hotel and try to explain what's going on, to try and coordinate things (because there was supposed to be a car to get me to the hotel in Atlanta, but obviously that's not happening). The ride company tries to get shitty with me and I tell them to keep their $30 because I don't have the time or patience. I read fanfic, I eat a granola bar, and I wait because I have NO OTHER OPTIONS. Trust me, I checked to see how long it would take to just goddamn drive to Atlanta. Finally I am free, and the shuttle is there, and the hotel is much nicer than I pick because I didn't have a choice.
The next day I eat a reasonable hotel breakfast (freeeeeee), get to the airport and things go fine. ATL is less of a hellmouth, I get my bag, grab a Lyft, have several moments of confusion with the front desk about my reservation, get up to my room and debate going to the con. Nah. Rest, steam the wrinkles out of my clothes, have a food.
Google is amazingly unhelpful about delivery here, but Pizza Hut will deliver in about 45 minutes. It's a Friday night, that's fine. It takes an hour and a half. Did I mention I hadn't eaten since breakfast? My blood sugar hates me and I also hate me.
I get up the next day, try to figure out which hotel I should be dropped off at, pick wrong, and walk there. Wait in line for an hour to get badge, and I am free. Dragoncon is across like 5 hotels. There is no fast way to do anything, nor any way to see and do things you want to because they are packed fucking schedules. I sit in at a couple panels (full, so mostly on the floor). I find out where the signings are, not realizing the authors and actors are in 2 different, non adjacent buildings, so I am in the actor's hall. Or at least I am in another line to get in there.
Time passes. We get in. I do a circle and see Neil Newbon's table and have a mini crisis.
I am HERE for BG3, and Neil specifically. I am, however, the worst human in the world at interacting with people whose work I admire. This is why I wanted my husband along, but he didn't think there'd be enough for him to do. So I made insane plans to try and mitigate my bad brain. I know immediately that my struggles have been in vain and I will absolutely fuck this up. But I've traveled too far and I will DO THE THING DAMMIT.
I don't want to say the con was not prepared for the draw of Neil. But the line for him is bananas, weirdly spread out into 3 overflows. We get through the first couple in a reasonable-ish amount of time. And we are in overflow one, huzzah. By this point I've been chatting with the other people in line, talking cosplays and whatnot, we're all friends here.
Well. Then the actors leave for photo ops. We try to settle, we tell each other our hopes and dreams, we are yelled at for sitting, 2 of them make a dash for water, I give a starving college cosplayer one of my emergency snacks, and he's adorably grateful ("do you want me to give you something for this?" "No, I want you to eat it, man.").
And Neil returns! And now I can see him and my knees aren't okay and my hands are shaking. FUCKERY BLAST IT, WHY AM I SO BAD AT THIS? I am a competent, funny, smart person. I can talk to anyone, I speak on panels, I am not shy, dammit.
His helper asks me what I want, and I say a signature. "You want him to put something particular?" "No." "Sorry?" "No thanks." I am too quiet and anyone who has ever been in my proximity knows that is NOT NORMAL. My nervous stupid self knocks stacks of pictures askew, and I am third in line.
Another assistant asks if I'm doing a selfie as well, and I chat with him like a normal, sane person who is allowed to vote. And then I get to Neil.
And I freeze tf up. As I knew would happen. I literally made a card for this occasion because of who I am as a person.
Neil: Hi Tanis, I'm Neil. (Hubs later during my scream session, "'oh really? I thought this was the line for the bathroom.'" "IF I HAD THE BRAIN FOR WIT AT THE TIME, MY LOVE.") Me: presents pic to sign and card of panic I'm nervous. Him: You're fine, Tanis. Me: I also have a picture with you tomorrow. Him: Good, I'll see you then. Me: Hopefully by then I'll be more able to talk. Him: I think you'll find you're talking now, you're just being too hard on yourself.
I flee and send a series of panicked missives to friends and spouse:
I order dreadful Chinese takeout (funfact, not a single delivery place remembered my drinks, so ya girl was running on bad hotel coffee and lukewarm tap water this weekend) and pray that I have done my worst. I was going to go to the Voltaire concert there, but alas my social battery is dead, my feet hurt, my pride is bleeding out, and I'm just staying in for the night.
(Funnily enough Friday he's going to be like an hour away from us, so I tell hubs to get tickets so we can both go.) Next day is surprisingly fine, some panels, absolutely no author's signings I could go to, so I schlepped a bunch of books around for 3 days for no reason. I eat overpriced hotel buffet brunch in the place the photos are supposed to be. I decide to find Voltaire's booth, since apparently we're going to see him soon, and have a normal, human conversation.
I do a commerce and have a CD, bid him farewell and go downstairs to wait for my picture for the next hour and a half because I'm broken as a person.
My beta wrote me a cheat sheet and husband wrote the single sweetest thing anyone has ever written in case I got to talk to Neil again.
Contrary to the lines everywhere else, this one moves fast. So fast. Too fast. I am flung at Neil like a gazelle and take the second worst photo with a celebrity I have ever had (first goes to a picture with Joel from MST3k because I'm wearing a bright neon yellow volunteer shirt, and with my complexion, I look like I have a disease). I go back to my hotel feeling like a bedraggled potato and take a selfie just to prove that I do have human features still (remarkable because I do not take selfies, as a rule).
The next day is the last day of the con, and I only have one goal since I missed it Friday because American Airlines sucks balls: I will go to the BG3 panel. I leave the hotel hilariously early, and am dropped off at the wrong Hyatt hotel. GPS says I can walk there in 15 minutes, and proceeds to give me the worst directions anywhere ever (example, it is 8:30, I am facing the sun. The GPS: HEAD WEST. Bruh, I'm not a girl scout, but that's objectively not correct). I run into another con-goer and follow him to the hotels, thank fucking god. I am two hours and some change early to the panel.
The line stretches outside already.
I wait on concrete to be let back into the building with a zillion other people, but the seat I get is phenomenal, literally the best seat in the house. (I do not take a picture of the people because I feel like a creep doing so. I know it's fine, but my brain is broken. Hubs: Maybe I wanted a picture. Me: YOU SHOULD HAVE COME, THEN.)
The panel is lovely, I have a magnificent time. I leave the con after one last attempt to get books signed (nada), and go back to the hotel to do laundry before my flight the next day.
I venture outside after my nap to try and get change at a CVS and maybe some laundry soap, but no dice on either. I try at a gas station, and also no. The hotel does have laundry soap, but won't take my cash, but whatever. What the fuck ever.
Minor digression: Traveling solo as a woman sucks for a variety of reasons, but one I didn't expect at my advanced unfuckable age was the sheer volume of catcalls I experienced this weekend, like more than in the last decade combined in 3 days. Just dudes on the streets and in trucks felt the need to comment on my appearance, and I'm puzzled and also not a fan.
Minor Boomer moment: Doing laundry at hotels is stupid now because I had to download a fucking laundry app. Just let me use money, or scan the QR code and have it work, ffs.
The laundry is gently wiggled damp, and I check my email. Delta: hey, check in for your flight. American Airlines: Hey check in for your flight.
I'm sorry, what?
Apparently I'm going from ATL to Charlotte on American Airlines which is news to me because I'd canceled any return trip with them days ago, and a return was supposed to be processed. I call them and the lady's like, "Oh so you need to cancel?" "I never scheduled it, so yes. And a refund." "Oh we don't give refunds, there's a credit on your account." "Yeah, I'm not flying with you again, how do I get money instead?" "Go to the site and fill out a form." "What information will I need for that?" "Your ticket number (rattles off a 72-digit long string of numbers)." Glad I asked because that number was nowhere in the email. Sometime eventually my money will return to me, but probably not the extra expense of an emergency DC hotel room, and certainly not the lost two days of fucking convention that I paid for.
Now I'm home, thank gods, in possession of an autographed piece of art, a hideous picture of myself, and 3 impossibly velcro cats who have never been loved in their lives and I am not doing this again. I did the scary things, I'm not sorry I went, but this has been the single worst traveling experience of my existence.

Day Sixteen - Saturdy, April 8
I am writing this last blog day on our flight from Rome to Dallas/Ft Worth. Laura and I and two of our friends woke up early this morning (at 3:45 a.m.) and took a car service to the Florence airport for our 6:35 a.m. flight from Florence to Rome.
Upon arrival in Rome, after a short layover, we boarded our 12 hour non-stop flght from Rome to DFW. So far, we are on schedule to arrive in Texas around 3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
What a great trip we had! Laura and I had our "country mouse" visit for the first part of our trip and then our "city mouse" visit for the last part of our trip. Both were great experiences.
What did we learn?
1. The roads as windy and steep in the country.
2. All of the Italians that we met were very friendly and accomodating. All of them are incredible wine experts and most in hospitality are sommeliers.
3. We did have some fabulous meals, but we always had great conversations with our servers, the cooks and the other restaurant patrons. Most dinners took 2 - 2.5 hours, which was still very enjoyable.
4. Italian drivers are very impatient and drive very fast. I tried to stay within the speed limit most of the time, but I was always the one car being passed up.
5. The wines are good. We tasted a variety of different wines, most made with sangiovese grapes, which is a red wine grape, most similar to pinot noir. We drank (1) Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, which is made near the hill town of Montepulciano, (2) Chianti Classico (made near Florence); (3) Brunello di Montalcino, which is made near the hill town of Montalcino (4) Barolo and (5) Super Tuscans from the Bolgheri region. The Super Tuscans are similar to a French Bordeaux blend and were my favorites. We also drank some chardonnays that had a similar style to the French Burgundy region (not buttery or oaky).
6. We walked everywhere in the cities, especially Florence. It is a very walkable city and not hilly at all in the city center. We only took one taxi the entire trip and that was only because I had wrong directions in Florence and we walked about 1.5 miles out of the way.
7. You should not have a rental car in Florence. You should have a rental car in the countryside.
8. Our apartment was in one of the best locations in Florence, right in the middle of most shopping and most restaurants. Only one time did we have to walk more than 20 minutes to a restuarant or a store.
9. The food was relatively bland and not very spicy, which did surprise me. I thought I remembered a little more flavor in the food from my previous trips to Italy. Of course, it could have been what I ordered. This was not the case in the finer restaurants or our cooking class.
10. I hope you enjoyed reading our blog. I primarily write this blog so that we will remember where we stayed, where we ate and what we did. I hope to supplement this blog with some pictures and may insert a link to a separate site where I can post pictures with captions.
From just 2 simple Texans in Tuscany, we write, Arrivederci!

Operation Christmas Couple: Weekend in Dallas Timestamp
Pairing- Jensen, x Female!Reader
Word count- 3,441
Warnings- Some language, some fluff,
A/N- A little shopping trip yesterday reminded me of these two and this timestamp came about. It was written and posted in less than 24 hours, all mistakes, which I’m sure I didn’t catch them all, are mine.
Summary- It’s season 8 now, but for the purpose of this fic some of the characters made earlier season appearances than they actually did on the show. This is the second Timestamp for Operation Christmas Couple. This one takes you to the September following the end of the series. These two head down to visit Jensen’s family for a weekend.
Series Masterlist
Season 8 is two months into production when you plan to follow Jensen down to Dallas for a weekend, to celebrate his mom’s birthday in the middle of September. The whole family is getting together for dinner on Sunday, the two of you are flying down late Friday afternoon, after filming wraps.
Your day on set finishes up before Jensen’s does. You head back to your shared apartment to double check the luggage and make sure the apartment is all closed up for your time away. Jensen keeps a bag mostly packed, so he had the easiest time packing up this week. Last weekend, you grabbed a small suitcase out and started collecting items in it throughout the week. When you were home last night you had gone through making sure you had the clothes you would need for the weekend, and the travel size bathroom items. Grabbing your commuter tote as your personal bag, you put both your and Jensen’s phone chargers inside, along with a book, sunglasses, hat, your iPad and its charger. Double checking your ID is in your wallet, you place it back in your purse, setting that bag inside the tote.
Jensen has his wallet with him, you were responsible for both passports. You place them in the outside pocket of the bag. Earlier in the week you had picked up a few snacks to take along. Being a later flight you weren’t sure what would be open at the airport if either of you were hungry while you waited.
Deciding you have everything, you grab Jensen’s backpack, your suitcase and tote, then lock the door before heading down to the car. When you arrive back on set, the guys are still filming, so you make your way to Jensen’s trailer to wait.
It’s after 6 when Jensen comes running in. He gives you a quick kiss before hurrying to the shower to clean off the fake blood running down his face. Of course the stuff is never easy to clean off, so it takes him a little while to clean it all off.
“Hey babe,” he calls out from the shower, “did you happen to grab some gum when you went to the store?”
“Um, no, but I’ll grab some now.”
You gather Dean’s dirty clothes and run them to wardrobe while he is cleaning up. On the way back you stop at the craft service table they are cleaning up and grab a few pieces of gum.
The two of you leave the studio lot and head for the airport, once he parks the car, you hurry inside to check in. It’s after 7 by the time you finish checking in and are heading for security. At least you don’t have any luggage to check since your flight is leaving in an hour. Thirty minutes later both of you and your bags are clear and you are now running toward the gate. Jensen takes your small suitcase while you have his backpack on and your tote bag strap across your shoulder.
When you are near the gate, you stop Jensen so you can run into the bathroom real quick before you board. When you come out he is walking out of one of the little shops with drinks for the both of you. They have already started to board the flight and the two of you get in line.
The first flight you have is just under an hour and takes you to Seattle, where you are going to have a two hour and 12 minute layover. The flight from there leaves at 11:20, and that where things really mess with your mind. The three and a half hour flight should have you landing around 2:50, but with the time change it will be almost 5 am in Dallas.
The first flight is uneventful, you exit the plane with the rest of your fellow passengers. Jensen pulls his hat down a little lower and raises up your hood, since you put your hat in the bag. You have to clear customs before you can get through the airport. Thankfully, that goes quickly. Checking the gate number for the next leg of your trip, you make your way to the other end of the airport.
Many of the restaurants are closed and the others will be soon, so Jensen suggests ordering something before you do anything else. Grabbing a couple of sandwiches from the Subway, you head to the gate area to sit down and eat. There is still an hour to kill when you are done, and you two walk down the terminal window shopping at the now closed stores. Just before 11 the plane lands and once it’s clear they begin calling for your flight to board.
The plane is barely off the ground before Jensen falls asleep, his head soon landing on your shoulder. You carefully pull out your tablet to pass the time, until you are also able to drift off.
When you touch down in Dallas, it takes a few minutes for you to wake up and start to function enough to get your bags around. Jensen adjusts the hat on your head, before putting on his own. He gets inline behind you, with a hand on your shoulder. Once you are off the plane, he puts his arm around you and leads you toward the exit. Neither one of you remembered to set up a car service, so you wait in line for a taxi.
“Are we going to a hotel?” you ask with a yawn.
“No, my parents want us to stay with them.”
“They can’t want us this early?”
He chuckles, “by the time we get a ride I bet it’ll be almost 6, that won’t be too bad. Plus I know where the spare key is.”
“UGH, it’s too early.”
“We’ve had to get up this early for work before.”
“Yeah, but there were a few solid hours of sleep before that.”
“We can sleep when we get there.”
He’s right about your arrival time, the two of you are able to slip in the house without waking his parents. You follow him upstairs and to his old bedroom. Taking off your sweatshirt and dropping your jeans, you collapse down on the bed. Jensen shakes his head, before getting into bed next to you and fixing the blankets.
A few hours later, much too soon for your liking, Jensen’s nephew is running into the room and jumping on the bed. Unfortunately for Jensen, Logan lands right on top of him. Once he convinces the young boy that you and him will be down shortly, he finally leaves the room.
“These kids really are trying to hurt my chances of reproducing,” he groans out.
“Do we have to get up?” You mumble with your face buried in the pillow?”
“Sorry, but if not, I’m sure he will be right back in here.”
You groan as you roll over and face your boyfriend. “I’m pretty sure I’m stuck to the bed.”
“Let’s go see if we can get you something to wake you up.”
You follow Jensen out of the bed, and throw on some sweatpants to make your way downstairs. Josh and Alan are in the living room with Logan when you enter, they both come over to greet the two of you. Donna soon comes in from outside with Jensen’s sister-in-law Alexis.
After all the hugs you finally make it to the kitchen. Jensen pours himself a cup of coffee while starting a cup of hot chocolate for you. There are some cinnamon rolls on the counter, you grab once for each of you.
Donna comes in to talk to you two while you are eating, she mentions Kenzie will be over in a little while. College football takes over the Ackles’ household early that afternoon. While the guys are focused on the tv, you and the other ladies head out for some retail therapy.
After a visit to the mall, Alexis takes the car across the street to Pier 1. Walking around with Kenzie you pick up various items to look at, not looking to buy much this trip. But making a mental list for when you can look online.
Joining back up with Alexis and Donna, the younger woman looks at your empty hands.
“Did you find anything that speaks to you?” she questions, referring to the store catchphrase.
“Oh many things, but not for today. If you were to ask my mom, she’d tell you everything here speaks to me,” you tell her.
After they pay for their purchase you make your way to the Hobby Lobby next door. You don’t grab a cart, because you don’t plan on buying anything here either. The first few aisles have fall items, the rest of the group is looking through them, but you browsed them at a much quicker pace, nothing really catching your attention.
You are surprised to see Christmas decorations already when you turn a corner. You slowly make your way through the first few aisles when you enter the third you stop with a big grin on your face. Forgetting you didn’t plan on purchasing anything, you start picking up various items. It doesn’t take long before you can’t carry it all, and are quickly walking to the front of the store for a cart. Grabbing one, you set your items down and make your way back to your previous location.
Kenzie is walking out of one aisle as you pass by, “Find something after all?”
“Yes, I might need an intervention.”
She laughs, not knowing you were somewhat serious. Before you get to the aisle you were in, you stop at an endcap display that caught your attention. There you pick up more objects. Back in the third aisle, you examine the rest of the contents you didn’t have a chance to look at yet, grabbing things as you move along. You are a little disappointed when you reach the end of the aisle, but when you reach the end of the Christmas section, you find more. By the time you are done, your cart is much fuller than it probably should have been.
Kenzie and Alexis are laughing when they see you unloading everything at the checkout. Your wallet, on the other hand, is crying. Jensen just might kill you when he sees all this. Back at the Senior Ackles home you help Alexis move her items to their car, and Kenzie helps Donna take hers inside. You are standing at the back of the younger Ackles’ SUV, staring at your purchases. Where in the world are you supposed to put these, you think to yourself. Before you can say anything Alexis grabs two bags and takes them inside. With a sigh you grab another along with the taller statue, Kenzie comes back out and grabs the shorter one and shuts her car.
Both ladies head to the living room where Donna is showing off her purchases to the uninterested guys. When the three of you walk in, Alan’s eyes widen in shock.
“Did you buy all of this?” he asks his wife.
“No, these are Y/N’s, not mom’s,” Kenzie answers.
It’s Jensen’s turn for his eyes to widen in horror. “What…what did you buy, Sweetheart?”
“Jus..just a few things,” you tell him.
“Yeah? Um, like what? How do you plan on getting this all back to Vancouver?”
You turn to Donna, “Do you think we could leave it here until we can drive it back down to Austin one weekend?”
“Sure, no problem. You can keep it in Jensen’s old room.”
“What are we keeping in Jensen’s old room?” your boyfriend tries again for an answer.
You turn the wood statue in your hands around so he can see it and set it down in front of the other couch. Kenzie sets the one she is holding next to it.
Jensen looks from The Grinch and Max statues, back to you. “We really needed those?” he asks. You just shrug. “And two, it’s September. Why are you buying Christmas decorations already?”
“Well if I don’t get them now, they’ll be sold out when I want them later,” you reasoned with him.
“That’s true,” Kenzie backs you up.
“What else did you get?” he questions, as he pinches his nose.
You bite your lip as you sit down next to him and slowly start pulling items out of your bag. You hand him a green serving bowl with a Grinch face on it.
Next is a rug, followed by a door decoration.
“They had a big popcorn bucket too, but I didn’t get that.”
“Gee why not?” he quips.
Ignoring the sarcasm you continue on handing him the other Grinch items you picked up. “They had other items, but I thought I might get those later.”
“What are you going to do with all this stuff?”
“We can use this stuff at the house in Austin, and I could get more for the apartment in Vancouver.”
Your boyfriend just stares at you.
“Hey, I did tell you last year I was going to turn the apartment into Whoville, I just went shopping too late.”
“Oh goody.”
The rest of the family laughs, not yet understanding your Grinch obsession like Jensen does. He has a feeling he really will be in Whoville this holiday season.
Pizza was ordered in for dinner and you all enjoyed a relaxing evening catching up with one another. When you were finally in bed that night, you were scrolling through your phone while Jensen was finishing up in the bathroom.
“Look at these,” you tell him, turning your phone when he walks back in the room. On the screen a set of salt and pepper shakers. One was The Grinch, the other Max.
“Great.”
“They have a lot more online than they did in store. I could order it and have some things sent up to Vancouver and others sent to the house down here. There is a Naughty or Nice pillow, oh, how about a Grinch plush? They have Max too!”
“Amazing.”
You go back to your phone, while he checks messages on his phone.
“Ohh, look at this centerpiece. It says you can buy all the Grinch stuff for it as a kit.”
“How lucky.”
“Ohh, I like that.”
He looks over at your phone screen, and sees various Grinch items. “That’s all at Lobby Hobby?”
“Hobby Lobby, and no. I’ve moved on to pinterest to see what I can find there. I really like these porch signs. We can get some paint and wood and make our own.”
“Great.”
“We can decorate while watching the movie, it’ll be fun! I haven’t seen it in awhile, let’s watch it when we get home.”
“I’m beginning to think you just wanted to buy that house with me so you could have something else to decorate,” Jensen tries to change the subject, slightly frowning as he thinks about how he finally deleted the movie off the DVR last spring so you would quit watching it.
“That’s not entirely true. The pool and hot tub really helped tip the scale.”
He turns and starts tickling you, until you are underneath him laughing. “Brat,” he teases you.
“I’m kidding, although I really am looking forward to what I can do with it.”
The two of you had finally settled on a house together. Opting to follow Jared and Gen to Austin. There was a place Jensen had driven by and fallen in love with. After putting in an offer, the place was yours and much of summer hiatus was spent cleaning, painting and moving. That also stopped Jensen from looking for places in Vancouver right now, so you didn’t have to keep dealing with Mindy.
Once the lights were out, the two of you quickly fell asleep. Both still exhausted from the night before. The next morning, the smell of bacon had Jensen stirring next to you, which took you out of dreamland.
Following your boyfriend downstairs you find Alan cooking pancakes and bacon for the four of you in honor of Donna’s birthday. She was sitting at the counter with a cup of coffee talking to him while he worked. He refused any offer of helping, telling you all it would be finished in a moment. Jensen once again took care of both of your drinks.
After a quiet morning together, Kenzie came over to start on dinner. You help her in the kitchen, it isn’t too long before Josh and his family arrive. Alexis is quick to come and help. She brings in the cake that they had ordered and picked up that morning. You are working on some of the sides, while Kenzie gets the meat ready for the guys to grill.
Presents were opened after dinner, but before dessert. After singing ‘Happy Birthday,’ and cutting the cake, the adults sat on the deck outside, while Logan played in the yard.
“The best part of my birthday is having you all here. Thank you all so much for coming,” she tells you all.”
“We’re happy to be here, ma.” Jensen tells her.
It’s an early night for everyone. Jensen’s siblings have to get back to work tomorrow, and the two of you are flying back to Vancouver.
Alan drops you off at the airport in the morning for your 9am flight. He hugs you first before moving to Jensen, the two of them talk for a moment before he is bidding you both safe travels and on his way back home. The two of you have some time before your first flight to Denver takes off, so you stroll through the terminal picking up a coffee and muffin as you go. The layover in Colorado is only an hour and a half, you read while Jensen is going through his phone.
From Denver there is a three hour flight up to Vancouver which gets you into the city just after 1:30. Your boyfriend sleeps the majority of the trip, while you read and play on the IPad. The evening is spent getting ready for the upcoming work week.
It’s a week later when Jensen is the first one back to the apartment. You had gone out for drinks with Bri and Kim, who are appearing in this episode, after wrapping for the day. There is a notification in the mailbox about a package, so he takes that up to the desk to retrieve whatever couldn’t fit in with the regular mail. He definitely is not expecting as big of a box as he is handed. Seeing Hobby Lobby listed as the shipper he just groans.
Lugging the thing upstairs, he debates about opening it up or waiting for you, deciding to take a picture of the box and label, he sends you a text message first. Along with the picture he types out:
Do I even want to know what’s inside???
Your phone beeps while Bri is telling a story and you briefly glance down at it. When she pauses a few minutes later you open it up, it takes a minute for you to realize what you are looking at. Oh crap, you were hoping to be the one to grab those deliveries. You wonder which of the two orders arrived today, hopefully it’s not the one you…well that answers that. Another text from Jensen comes through with a copy of the invoice.
YOU SPENT HOW MUCH ON THIS???????????? 4 hundred Y/N??? Is this American or Canadian???
You wonder if it would help if you told him some of that was the shipping cost. Probably not. “Sorry Ladies, but I’m going to have to cut this short. I have to go find a way back on Jensen’s nice list. I’m pretty sure I just landed on the naughty one.”
“What did you do?”
“A little too much online shopping.”
“You could always stop and do a little more shopping on your way home,” Bri suggests.
“How is more shopping going to get Jensen to forgive me?” you ask her.
“You need to grab yourself something to slip into something that would put you on Santa’s naughty list, but off Jensen’s.” Bri tells you with a wink.
“That could work,” Kim agrees.
“I’ll talk to you ladies later,” you tell them as you run out the door shaking your head. Although, mentally you’re trying to think of the closest lingerie store. He can’t give you a hard time about what you bought if something else is too busy getting hard.
Thanks for reading!!!!
