Ka-Zar is Kevin Reginald, Lord Plunder, born in Castle Plunder, Kentish Town, London, England. He is the eldest son of Lord Robert Plunder, the English nobleman who discovered the Savage Land. After his mother had died and his father was killed by the barbaric Man-Ape natives of the Savage Land, Plunder was found and raised by the sabertooth tiger Zabu, who possesses near-human intelligence thanks to a mutation caused by radioactive mists.[4] "Ka-Zar" means "Son of the Tiger" in the language of the Man-Apes. Ka-Zar and Zabu are constant partners. Ka-Zar became an expert hunter, trapper, and fisherman, living off the wild land.
In the Savage Land, some territories are populated by several human or humanoid tribes, and while most of them are on friendly terms with Ka-Zar, some of them consider him an outlander and an enemy. He acts more like an unofficial general protector, preventing outside commercial exploitation, such as poaching and mining, as well as enforcing peace between tribes and serving as goodwill ambassador to friendly visitors.
The original X-Men discovered the Savage Land, and Ka-Zar encountered them, battling Maa-Gor for the first time.[5] He then encountered Daredevil for the first time, and battled his brother Parnival, who had become the supervillain called the Plunderer.[6] He first battled Magneto's Savage Land Mutates alongside the X-Men.[7] He then encountered the Hulk for the first time, and battled Umbu the Unliving.[8] He was once 'tricked' into confronting Spider-Man after J. Jonah Jameson convinced him that Spider-Man was a menace when the wall-crawler's memory was erased and he was tricked into working with Doctor Octopus. Spider-Man's memory was restored during the fight, with Ka-Zar subsequently apologizing for the mistake and proclaiming Spider-Man as the most valiant opponent he had ever fought.[9] Ka-Zar then battled Kraven the Hunter for the first time.[10] Shortly after this encounter, Ka-Zar encounters Zaladane and Garokk for the first time.[11]
After the Savage Land became known to outsiders after the visit by the X-Men, many people began traveling to the territory. Ka-Zar has also become romantically involved with female visitors, the first being S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Barbara Morse (who later became the Avenger named Mockingbird).[12] He first battled A.I.M., and met the Man-Thing.[13] He then met Spider-Man once again, and battled the extraterrestrial Gog.[14] He next met the adventurer Shanna O'Hara,.[15] He battled Klaw, and visited other dimensions.[16] He and his allies faded mysteriously from that other dimension,[17] then teamed with the X-Men to battle Zaladane and a reborn Garokk.[18]
Ka-Zar, during a search for the lost Zabu, later discovered Pangaea, an ancient refuge created by the Atlanteans.[19] Ka-Zar and Shanna began to gradually fall in love.[20] He then battles Belasco for the first time.[21] After a meeting with A.I.M. spies disguised as scientists, Ka-Zar is shot in the head, but survives. He is flown to New York City, but escapes the plane at Kennedy Airport.[22] With no memory and no ability to speak, he wanders New York, saving lives and fighting crime. His memory returns and he encounters Kraven The Hunter again, who has been released from prison by an A.I.M. agent to capture him.[23] Saved by Shanna and Spider-Man, he is brought to the hospital where A.I.M. fakes his death in order to use him in a scheme.[24] Escaping with Spider-Man's aid, he and Shanna return to the Savage Land.[25] He later marries Shanna, who has taken the name Shanna the She-Devil.[26] During the ceremony, a war (incited by the machinations of Belasco) breaks out in Pangea, which ends when Ka-Zar and Shanna are banished.[27] His brother Parnival arrived in the Savage Land, searching for anti-metal Vibranium, and was apparently killed during his scheme (though much later turned up alive).[28] During this scheme, a Nuwali transport device is uncovered, and Ka-Zar, Shanna, and Zabu are transported to the Nuwali planet. The Nuwali use human adrenalin to poison their rivals, and also reveal to Shanna that she is pregnant.[29]
Ka-Zar has teamed up with several of Marvel's heroes. The X-Men are recurrent visitors to the Savage Land and Ka-Zar has been a frequent ally, helping the mutant team defeat both inside and outside menaces such as Sauron and Magneto. He has met Spider-Man on several occasions, one of which involved stopping Stegron the Dinosaur Man from invading New York City with Savage Land dinosaurs. Ka-Zar has also assisted the Avengers in their attempt to repel the space conqueror Terminus, but while they rescued many natives, they were unable to prevent the destruction of the Savage Land. Ka-Zar was rescued by the Avengers, but left the Savage Land for the civilized world.[30] Together, he and Shanna had a son named Matthew. The territory was later reconstructed by the High Evolutionary using Garokk, and Ka-Zar and Shanna returned with their newborn and resumed their previous roles.[31]
Ka-Zar and Shanna separated for a time,[32] but got back together before long. Ka-Zar fought and defeated Thanos in one of his many attempts to end life, and later sought the help of investigator Jessica Jones for assistance locating Zabu.[33]
Shanna and Ka-Zar find Skrulls mining the rare metal vibranium in the Savage Land. Soon afterward as part of the Secret Invasion storyline, a Skrull ship crashes in the Savage Land releasing earlier versions of modern superheroes (who claim to be the originals replaced by Skrulls for some time), and who have escaped. Shanna and Ka-Zar soon learn, however, that these are simply more Skrulls in disguise. Spider-Man soon encounters Ka-Zar, Shanna, Zabu, and some of the natives accusing them of being Skrulls. Just then, the Captain America from the ship attacked thinking the same for Spider-Man. Ka-Zar, Shanna, and Zabu help Spider-Man fight the Captain America from the ship until he is hit by a dart that causes him to regress to a Skrull named Pitt'o Nili, who is killed by Shanna while still believing himself to be Captain America due to the extensive mind conditioning carried out on him.[34] He then later goes with the rest of the Avengers to New York City to help them fight off the Skrull invasion while Shanna stays behind with Zabu to fight off anymore Skrulls left in the Savage Land.[35]
Ka-Zar later meets Reptil when he and Tigra have rescued Moon-Boy. After reuniting Moon-Boy with Devil Dinosaur, Ka-Zar tells Reptil that he will help him find his parents.[36]
Ka-Zar and Shanna later encounter the return of the Ethereals and end up fighting them when it comes to the Ethereals wanting the tribes of the Savage Land to be united with them.[37]
He later teams with Skaar to protect the Savage Land from outside forces.[38]
Ka-Zar later appears as a member of the Agents of Wakanda.[39]
During "The War of the Realms" storyline, Ka-Zar picks up Gorilla-Man from the Wundagore Zoo in Transia, who was discussing with Ursa Major about an undercover operation he is running for Black Panther, and takes him to Avengers Mountain. Ka-Zar and Gorilla Man are then seen inside Roxxon's secret base in Antarctica, fighting the company's Berserkers alongside Blade.[40]
During the "Empyre" storyline, Ka-Zar is unable to reach Shanna the She-Devil. Black Panther instructs Brother Voodoo to take Ka-Zar, Zabu, Black Knight, and Scarlet Witch with him to investigate. They arrive to find a slain Tyrannosaurus as Scarlet Witch senses they are surrounded. The group is attacked by the Cotati and they fight them until the Cotati Ventri unleash Man-Thing who they have under their control. As Ventri states that the Savage Land and the world will be theirs, Ka-Zar is shocked to find that the Cotati have gained control of Shanna.[41] Due to her connection with the Savage Land's lifeforce which the Cotati took advantage of, Shanna tries to get Ka-Zar to join them as Matthew states to Black Knight that they have to do something. Doctor Voodoo used a trick to do a mental trick. Scarlet Witch does the same as she tries to free Shanna from the Cotati's control. To assist her, Scarlet Witch brings Ka-Zar into Shanna's mind where he learns that some creatures in the Savage Land are dying and trees are falling. As Matthew and Black Knight fight the Cotati, a Doctor Voodoo-controlled Man-Thing fights the Cotati's control and defeats Ventri. When Ka-Zar frees Shanna from the Cotati's control, he is stabbed by a Cotati using Black Knight's Ebony Blade.[42] As Scarlet Witch and Doctor Voodoo work to extract Ka-Zar's soul, Shanna the She-Devil uses the same waters that revived him in order to heal Ka-Zar. It works as Ka-Zar turns the tide on the Cotati invaders where dinosaurs show up to help.

Marvel Descendants OCs
Acknowledgment: When Marvel Descendants was first written in 2015, one year after I joined Tumblr, at the time I wasn’t aware of how bad certain things were and while I am aware this is a bad excuse for what I’m about to acknowledge, it’s all I have really for what I wrote into Marvel Descendants at 14-15 as back then, I was into DC’s Kingdom Come and when I saw them ship Nightstar and Ibn al Xu'ffasch (pre-Damien Wayne), I didn’t see anything wrong with it and as a result, used the adopted family excuse for shipping Locket Lokidottir and Theo Thorson. Now that I am older and know more over the years, I wish I had known back then, but I wasn’t deep into Tumblr until December 2014 and even then, it took me until a while back to realize Marvel Descendants was wrong for that, but by that point, book 5 confirming the ship two married in the future, was out and while its too late to fix canon, I try to fix it in AUs and ship the two with other characters.  Any other issues within Marvel Descendants, I am trying to fix and hope to avoid in the future as I continue writing.

The great Captain Sabertooth, king of the seven seas, afraid of nothing and no one –
except that isn’t quite true, is it?
*
He’s five when he first nearly drowns, then seven when it happens again. His mother teaches him to swim despite the fact that they’re landlubbers living in the mountains, and he knows it's out of fear, and not out of love. The river water is freezing, melted glacier as it is, but he has to learn, he needs to be able to swim, it feels important – and if the water stings, if it burns and hurts and tugs, he only rubs away the tears with clenched fists.
Then it’s fitting, isn’t it, that the first time he sees the ocean he’s instantly enthralled. The endless blue beyond the reach of the masts of the great ships, dulling into gray in the horizon, topped with white and pooling in dark blue. He falls a little bit in love, then, but it’s not before he sees the first ship leave the dock he hears a voice calling.
He’s fifteen when he first escapes out onto the sea. He works as something of a cook’s assistant, helping with the food and lending a hand whenever they are too few. The first weeks are rough. He’s not used to the rolling waves beneath his feet, but after some time he finds his footing and has never felt more alive. Yet he stands on deck, wind whipping at his dark hair as he stares into the deep darkness below, and the voice is calling louder.
Hard work is effective, and soon he’s a captain of his own ship. Still he uses his own name, still the ‘captain’ part is just a title. He controls his own crew, takes them across oceans and storms and terrors, brining fine cloth and spice from one land to another. At night he stands by the bow, staring at the water and the sky with an oddly sorrowful feeling trembling in his chest, and the voice’s calling rises to a shriek.
After only a year being a captain, he loses his ship and his crew to a pirate ship. They take him prisoner, tying his hands so tightly that the rope burns, and tells him to clean the deck. And so, after years of hard work, he is once again nothing more than a mere cook’s assistant. He falls asleep at night, hands tired and bleeding from rope burns, but at least the ocean is there, rocking him to sleep and offering him comfort in the lonely hours of darkness. The next day they plunder an unsuspecting village, and as he watches the pirates run around hollering and shrieking in glee and chaos, the voice becomes a roar.
Never will it be said that he doesn’t know how to make a situation better – half a year later he’s risen in the ranks, betrayed his captain, and taken the role as the ship’s leader. Still he uses his own name, but the ‘captain’ part has become less of a title and more like a need. He collects some gold, plunders some villages, sinks some ships – but still it isn’t enough, and the voice becomes a cacophony of thunder.
Soon he gets a new ship, and he calls her the Black Lady. His crew is slowly changed into someone he can trust and believe – Longfinger and Benjamin and the twins are the first, and they are the last, and they are so loyal that it almost hurts. And they acquire gold, and they take lives, and they ruin others – fear is installed in every heart near to the ocean, fear of him, fear of the flag that whips in the wind, fear of the canons thundering through the air. Yet, still, the voice does not ease.
And then, as he’s known as someone with power, someone with money, someone who hates, his name becomes more than feared.
It becomes wanted.
Suddenly people are after him, every ship he sees is no longer a potential victim but rather a definite foe. There are many of those – of foes, of enemies – and not all of them are ships. Through the years, during his wandering and searching and stealing, he meets people who absolutely despise him. Women, men, children, neither or all –
Maga Khan, Gorm, Miriam, the Duke of Grail – and others, and more, and Gabriel the Gruesome.
Every single one of them burns, not because they hate him, but because they have the power to harm him. He’s brainwashed, he’s betrayed, his ship is burned down – and fine, he’s sunk more ships than the measly landlubbers can build, but what does that help when one is facing off with a witch? How does one defend against a vengeful spirit, a ghost from the beyond?
Their burns leave marks and they leave scars, and though some of the scars fade the others don’t.
And still, throughout every single adventure, the voice shrieks, cries, growls and thunders – calling and echoing, rising and sinking, pulling, tugging, begging –
(it’s weird, it really is, that the itching just underneath his skin eases, somewhat, whenever his crew is near)
(whenever –)
(– he – )
(– is near.)
He no longer uses his own – his old – name, for it hurts to think of, it hurts to be reminded, and so he makes up something. Sabertooth, he says, standing before the mirror and wringing a hat in his hands, I am Sabertooth. He puts on the hat, forcing his expression into one of stoic calm, and without another glance back he exits the room.
(if his name bites if his name bites if his name bites then THEY CAN’T)
*
He’s plagued by nightmares – nightmares of the sea, of the waves, of being pulled under and further under and of drowning and dying and drowning –
there’s laughter, that terrible laughter, and all his gold is gone, all he cares for is gone, and he’s dying – worse, he’s losing –
he wakes up with a start every single time, beads of sweat clinging desperately to his brow, the waves crashing against the side of the ship in that soothing rhythm they always keep.
When he’s not dreaming, he has troubles sleeping. Perhaps because of the nightmares, perhaps because of something else. He tries everything – hard mattresses, soft mattresses, huge and small – blast it all, he even tries sleeping on top of his gold! But nothing works – and he is doomed, he is doomed, for if he does not sleep then he is vulnerable –
The darkness of his rooms is pressing, forcing, pushing – lurking and creeping in from the corners, and one moment he’s sure that Miriam’s laughter echoes through the air, the other Maga Khan is looming over his bed, and then there is definitely the flicker of a flame down the hall –
he runs away because he can’t take his own weakness, and he runs, feet and heart competing over which one can pound the fiercest – he doesn’t think, only wants to get away from himself, yet… every single time he ends up standing by the bow, staring into the horizon and clutching the side of the ship in a grip tight enough to break bones. The ocean, his enemy and his friend, roars beneath him – and whenever he stands there, the world at his feet and heaven at his hands, the voices of his past tell him, in whispered tones, to jump.
He never does, he never dares – the ocean will greet him like a friend, he knows, and death will probably do the same – but he dares not, for his ship will surely go to waste if he fades.
(he’s alone there he’s alone, standing at the edge of the universe and staring at a setting sun, at a rising moon, at a setting hope and rising despair –)
Often he falls asleep there, lulled by the ocean’s eerie repetitiveness, and the next day he’s wakened by one of his crewmen. They’re worried, and they’re quiet, and they’re kind – he snaps at them, harsh and stern, that he can take care of himself. They retreat, worries soothed by his anger, bowing and apologizing for their snark.
More often than not, however, it is Pinky, the boy who’s growing into a man, whom shakes him awake with gentle and warm hands. They’d been soft, once, like his, but after years on the sea they have become calloused and worn – that, too, like his.
“C’mon, Captain,” he says, without fail, helping him to his feet. “You should sleep.”
“You fool of a boy,” Captain Sabertooth replies, without fail, “the great Captain Sabertooth never sleeps.”
He can never turn him away, never snap at him, he can’t – not when he has hands like those, or eyes like his, or a heart that shimmery golden.
And so he goes to bed. Always, without fail. And if Pinky, who casts echoes and reflections of his captain every time he as much as moves, slips into bed next to him, arms looping around his torso and fingers tender over his scars, then no one can tell him off for seeking comfort.
(but still, whenever he is with Pinky, the voice – its roaring, shrieking, thundering demands – it stills. it eases into a purr, a pleased quiet sound, and sometimes –)
(– very sparse, those times, but still there –)
(– it almost offers him hope.)

Lockjaw #1 Review
spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers spoilers
Writer Daniel Kibbelsmith and artists Carlos Villa, Roberto Poggi and Chris O’Halloran bring us the first in a four-issue series exploring the adventures of everybody’s favorite giant teleporting dog.  Quick recap and review following the jump.
This first issue opens up on the morning of what appears to be a very special day for Lockjaw...  Situated in the Inhuman citadel of New Arctillan on the dark side of the moon, Lockjaw gazes out onto the cosmos and his preternatural sense of smell seem to detect a potential threat.  Something quite not right is afoot and Lockjaw springs to action.  Fist, however, the narrative offers us a quick glimpse of some of the other members of Lockjaw’s fellow Royals.  This includes Medusa and Black Bolt who appear to be *ahem* intimate once more… as well as the always irascible Karnak eating cereal, and Crystal reading a story to her daughter, Luna.  Then Lockjaw teleports off.
Tumblr media
The narrative switches to earth, to the apartment of Dennis Dunphy, the one-time costumed adventurer and former Avenger known as Demolition Man (or D-Man for short).  Dennis has had a hard time of late.  Following a tumultuous career as a superhero with some highs and many lows, Dennis had retired from the life and settled down with his boyfriend, Steve.    Unfortunately, things with Steve didn’t work out and Dennis has been very much down in the dumps ever since the break up.  And his sadness gives way to anger when he sees himself as a clue on the TV gameshow, Jeopardy!, and none of the contestants can recall his name.  Then the show goes to commercial before the host can offer the correct answer and it leaves Dennis so enraged that he punches the television.
Tumblr media
And this is made even worse when the broken glass from the TV set leaves Dennis with a pretty bad gash on his forearm.  Dennis had once possessed superhuman powers, enhanced strength and durability (qualities bestowed onto him by the villainous Power Broker), but these abilities have since gone away and the cut on his arm is bad enough to warrant a trip to the emergency room.
Exiting his apartment Dennis encounters his neighbor, a kindly albeit kind of homophobic elder woman named Mrs. Gillespie.  She is petting her pet bulldog, Bixby, and invites Dennis to a party honoring the dog’s thirtieth birthday.
Tumblr media
Mrs. Gillespie seems like kind of a kook so Dennis doesn’t give much thought to her claims that her dog is actually thirty years old.  Besides, he’s in kind of a hurry to get to urgent care for some stitches on his forearm.
Elsewhere, Lockjaw teleports to earth and arrives at a local park and makes quick friends with a nice little girl chasing butterflies.  Good boy.
Tumblr media
Over at the hospital, Dennis’ sister, Ruth, has arrived worried that his wound might have been the result of a suicide attempt.    Ruth means well but it’s rather demoralizing to Dennis that she had thought things so rough that he would try to kill himself.   It’s basically rock bottom for Dennis, but the good news is there is nowhere to go from here but up.
Dennis returns too his apartment building and discovers Lockjaw standing outside barking loudly.  He doesn’t recognize Lockjaw and seems to assume he is just a really big dog who might be lost.  Yet before he can investigate the matter further, Dennis is hit in the back by a hamster in a mini flying saucer.  There’s a sentence I never thought I’d write…
Tumblr media
Suddenly Dennis and Lockjaw find themselves facing off against a veritable swarm of miniature flying saucers operated by talking hamsters.  The lead hamster recognizes Lockjaw, naming him a secondary target, instructing his fellow hamsters to apprehend the canine Inhuman.   Mrs. Gillespie and Bixby come out of the building to see what the ruckus is all about.  The hamster identifies Bixby as the primary target and its fleet engages.   With Bixbee in danger, Lockjaw goes a bit wild and takes out the swarming saucers with heightened brutality.
Tumblr media
It isn’t long before the saucers have to retreat.  Afterwards, Lockjaw and Bixbee meet up and share a knowing sniff with one another.
Then Lockjaw is off.  Dennis still thinks he is a lost dog and runs up to see if he can check for a collar.  Doing so accidentally causes Dennis to be teleported off with Lockjaw.
Tumblr media
The two land in the Savage Land, the secretive refuge of prehistoric life hidden deep in the antarctic.  Lockjaw has teleported to a place in the Savage Land where his one time ally and fellow Pet Avenger, Zabu the sabertooth tiger, is residing.
Tumblr media
Zabu growls at first, but his friend Ka-Zar (Marvel’s analog to Tarzan) assures him that all is well.  Dennis is rather confused over all that has happened, but he sees Ka-Zar and is taken aback by the man’s physical beauty.
Tumblr media
And it is here that this rather silly first issue comes to a close with the promise of continuation with the next installment...
A very goofy and fun ride.   Carlos Villa’s illustration along with  Roberto Poggi’s inks and Chris O’Halloran coloring all work really nicely for the story.  Villa draws a rather funny looking Lockjaw with an especially big face with accentuated floppy joules.  It’s very much that kind of cute come funny looking often associated with pugs or bulldogs.
Villa’s penciling very much excels in the one action scene, where Lockjaw and D-Man fend off the hamsters in flying saucers.  He is especially good at showing off dynamic scenes and I’ll be looking forward to more action scenes as the series progresses.  O’Halloran’s colors really stand out, with an especially good use of electric blues that capture the cosmic nature of Lockjaw’s powers of teleportation.
Tumblr media
There’s a lot of mystery here and it remains unknown what exactly is going on.  It would seem that Bixby is likely Lockjaw’s brother and that there may be something special about Lockjaw’s siblings that has put them in the crosshairs of these hamster-like creatures.
We know from Black Bolt #5 that Lockjaw was a dog whose mother was exposed to Inhuman experimentation on old Attilan.  The experiment appeared to imbue the her pup with special powers, but it wasn’t revealed whether or not Lockjaw’s mom had just one puppy or a whole litter.  I’m guessing that it was the latter and that Lockjaw has a number of brothers and sisters out there.  Along with an extended lifespan, these dogs may also possess other powers, powers that these saucer flying hamsters could want to exploit.  I suppose we will have to wait and see how this all pans out.
Tumblr media
Daniel Kibbelsmith has made an interesting choice in selecting D-Man as Lockjaw’s co-adventurer in the story.  D-Man a peculiar character…  He first showed up in the pages of The Thing as part of a story that attempted to bank off growing popularity of professional wrestling.  He then teamed up with Captain America, getting a costume that was an overt knock off go outfits worn by Daredevil and Wolverine.  He was homeless for a time, mentally ill for a time, an Avenger for a time.  He was recruited into Wonder Man’s squad of Revengers and even mind-controlled into becoming The Scourge.  Then he was killed off and I don’t recall how he was eventually brought back to life.
Tumblr media
D-Man has kind of been a cypher who various authors have used for different reasons and different plot-lines in a variety of different comics.  Kibblesmith departs from this and offers up a more fully fleshed out version of D-Man.  He depicts Dennis as a sarcastic yet lovable loser who is down on his luck.  He’s lost his powers, lost his boyfriend, things have gotten pretty bad.  He’s a guy who could really use a good old fashioned adventure alongside a giant teleporting bulldog in order to turn things around…
Dennis provides up a good point of view for the reader (particularly necessary for a main character who is a dog and cannot speak).  Dennis has no idea what exactly is going on with Lockjaw, the nature of his mission, nor the origin of these villainous space-hamsters.  Us readers are equally in-the-dark and I’m looking forward to joining Dennis in discovering the truth behind these mysteries.  Hopefully other readers will feel the same.
Of course as a big time Inhumans fan I was especially intrigued by the opening scene on New Arctillan.  Very interesting to see Medusa and Black Bolt back together and I wonder if this acts as something of a spoiler regarding what will be revealed in the 12th and final issue of Ahmed and Ward’s Black Bolt series.
Tumblr media
In any case, it was nice to see confirmation that Crystal has reunited with her daughter, Luna, and both are doing well on Arctillan… and also nice to see that Karnak has apparently been forgiven for his past transgression in the pages of Secret Warriors and has been welcomed to reside on Arctillan with the rest of The Royals.
Lockjaw #1 is my kind of ridiculous fun and I definitely recommend it.  Four out of five Lockjaws :3

THE GET DOWN'S Shameik Moore Cast as Miles Morales in Animated SPIDER-MAN Movie
Sony Pictures is back in the Spider-Man business after their flagship character was given a proper reintroduction into pop culture, thanks to a formal blessing by Marvel Studios in last year’s Captain America: Civil War. Now the wall-crawler is back on his feet in Spider-Man: Homecoming, after a profitable yet underwhelming run with the Amazing Spider-Man series, that blemished the character’s viability.
We are only months away from the release of the new Spidey flick with Tom Holland (In The Heart of the Sea) in his first solo adventure as Peter Parker. However, that’s far from the last of Sony’s plans for the web-slinger’s cinematic future, as there are multiple movies in development to fill out Sony’s film slate. There’s a Venom movie in the works that will carry horror elements andwell as an R-rating. In addition to that, there is also a film based on Silver Sable and Black Cat, two female supporting characters from Spider-Man’s rogue’s gallery. However, before all of those make it to the theater, another Spider-Man will be swinging into a cinema near you and it’s not Peter Parker.
A CGI film based on the “Ultimate Spider-Man” line is currently in production with Miles Morales preparing to makes his mainstream debut in December of next year. Little is known about the upcoming production which has a prime release date in the winter movie season of 2018, however thanks to THR, we now know who will be voicing the primary characters. Shameik Moore (Dope) has been tapped to bring Morales’ voice to life as the new Spider-Man, while Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan) has been revealed as the voice of the movie’s still unknown villain.
Moore has made an impact in the past few years on the big screen with starring roles in both Dope and The Get Down on Netflix. He has an affable charm along with a youthful vigor that should translate well to the role of Miles Morales, a teenager who is gifted with amazing powers of Spider-Man – and more – after genetically engineer spider bites him. While this won’t be the first superhero rodeo for Schreiber, who already cut his teeth playing Sabertooth against Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Aside from the villain’s identity, it’s a mystery how the story of Morales will play out on screen and if there will be an appearance from the original Spider-Man. In the pages of the comics, Peter Parker died in battle and Morales’ arc is about his responsibility to pick up the Spider-Man mantle. This could be tricky with the MCU version in theaters, that will not be a part of the same universe.
There is surely a lot more to come on this movie as more details come to light. The animated Miles Morales Spider-Man movie will open on December 21st, 2018.

Fictional character biographyEdit
It works as Ka-Zar turns the tide on the Cotati invaders where dinosaurs show up to help.[43
