Rants!
Mr Green/Wadsworth: The inherent homoeroticism of throwing a man to the floor... Being annoying... Both r clearly gay anyway... I think they have hooked up and are denying feelings tbh
Susan/Peggy: Every day I'm furious that Susan doesn't get to go to heaven because she discovered lipstick and nylons. FUCK C.S. Lewis for that for real. She lived an adult life with more agency and personhood than she could possibly access in a lifetime England when she returned from Narnia and was told she could never go back to Narnia—so why is she punished for trying to make the most of her life?!
I've seen the take that "busy chasing lipstick and nylons" doesn't mean she's more interested in fashion than in lion jesus, it means she was attracted to women, and yknow, that just makes things worse.
I saw season 1 of Agemt Carter, I read the Peggy/Angie vibes, and I'm a multishipper at heart. Susan crossing paths with Peggy Carter is SO plausable and it's one of the few ways I could see her finding a happy and fulfilling life moving forward! And god does she ever deserve better than she gets in canon.
Rochi: there are literally 19 fics for this ship, all but 3 written by the same person, and the characters have never even been mentioned in the same sentence, let alone met. neither of them have any lines, we don't know what one looks like and we only know he exists because of like 2 fact files you can find scattered around the game. but holy shit if the dynamic ive deluded myself into thinking they have isnt DELECTABLE
Duckylove: A HYPERSPECIFIC POLYCULE BETWEEN MOST OF THE TEENAGERS IN THE DWAMPYVERSE CAST. TECHNICALLY THE BASIS IS IN THE PHINEAS AND FERB CAST, WITH CANDACE DATING JEREMY, STACY, AND VANESSA, BUT IT COMPLICATES FROM THERE. I USUALLY HAVE STACY AND VANESSA DATING EACH OTHER, ALONG WITH STACY DATING COLTRANE AND VANESSA DATING MONTY. MONTY CAN ALSO BE DATING CARL IT DEPENDS. FROM THERE THERES THE MILO MURPHY'S LAW CAST, WITH SARA DATING CANDACE AND VANESSA, ALONG WITH NEAL. THE HAMSTER AND GRETEL CAST INCLUSION IS KEVIN DATING HIROMI, WHOS DATING STACY AND SARA AS WELL. FRED AND JENNY (AND A BUNCHA THE OTHER TEENS BUT LESS FULLY AS THESE TWO) ARE ALSO THERE BUT FRED AND JENNY ARE AROACE SO THEY JUST KINDA EXIST THERE.

What is Ifa Tuntun?

What is Ifa Tuntun? When did Ifa Tuntun begin? Who is culpable for initiating it? Ifa Tuntun started the moment we Africans were packed into the hulls of the merchant ships and hauled across the sea. Everything changed from that point. Nothing has ever been the same again both for those who were forcibly taken and those left behind. Those forcibly taken did several things: - Some looked back and cursed the land that they were leaving, and those who forced them into captivity and alienation. - Some, knowing they would be killed, locked their captors into a fight, even chained, and got executed. - Some, with courage, jumped into the ocean, burying their bodies in the mother sea, preferring death to captivity. - Some descended into the hull of the ships into which they were led, determined to live to see where the rest of the journeys of their lives would lead them. They shed blood. They shed tears. They shed sweat, cold sweat. They shed urination. They shed milk, those mothers taken away from their children, their swollen bodies lactating. They met others who could not speak their language. They communicated with gestures, with signs, with sighs, with cries. That was the birth of jazz music, as they improvised beyond words to make their feelings clear. That was the birth of blues, as they sobbed, rocking from side to side, moaning ai, aye, bae, bi, bligh, buy, by, bye, cai, chai, chi, cry, cy, dai, die, dry, dye, eye, fae, fi, fly, fry, frye, guy, hi, high, hy, hye, i, i., kai, kwai, lai, lie, ly, lye, mai, mei, my, nigh, nye, pe-tsai, phi, pi, pie, ply, pri, pry, psi, pye, rye, sai, shy, sky, skye, sly, spry, spy, sty, sy, tai, thai, thigh, thy, tie, tri, try, ty, tye, vi, vie, wai, why, wry, wye, y, yeeparipa! Their blood, mixing with the sweat, tears, milk, and urines on the floor of the ship, as pregnant women gave birth, and weak ones gave up life and dead bodies left marks on the bottom of the slave ships—gave birth to the origin of abstract painting, conceptual art, and gestural images of body markings.

© Tom Feelings, Middle Passage Photo / White Ship, Black Cargo That moment, which came for different people and their descendants in the foreign land, which they turned into the New Africa, was the end of an old order, and the birth of a new world. Black Dynamite (2009)
Action, Comedy |
Black Dynamite is a American blaxploitation action comedy film starring Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, and Salli Richardson. The film was directed by Scott Sanders and co-written by White, Sanders, and Byron Minns, who also co-stars.
The plot centers on former CIA agent Black Dynamite, who must avenge his brother’s death while cleaning the streets of a new drug that is ravaging the community. The film is a parody of and homage to the blaxploitation genre and its era. It had a trailer and funding even before a script was written. Black Dynamite was shot in 20 days in Super 16 format.
In the early 1970s, Black Dynamite, a Vietnam War veteran and former CIA officer, vows to clean up the streets of drug dealers and gangsters after his younger brother Jimmy is killed by a shady organization. O’Leary, Black Dynamite’s former army and CIA partner, reinstates him into the agency because they do not want him seeking vengeance by himself. While trying to get to the bottom of Jimmy’s murder, he finds out that his brother was actually working undercover for the CIA. Black Dynamite also discovers the shady organization is filling the black orphanages with heroin. He declares war on local drug dealers and successfully cleans up the streets, earning him the affection of Gloria, a Black Power activist who works at the local orphanage.
After discovering the government’s involvement in the drug ring, Black Dynamite steals the ledger belonging to corrupt Congressman James which details illegal shipments to a warehouse. Black Dynamite and his team storm the warehouse to capture a big shipment.

THE WILSON GROUP—Tina Clark, Carol Washington, Deseia Carter, Terrance Turk, Geremy Andreaco and Kim Sechrist
For years Three Rivers Adoption Council (TRAC) held a celebrity cook-off at a popular Japanese steak house as a major fundraiser. As we know, change is good and four years ago TRAC launched the (UNMASK)erade Gala as their annual fundraiser. This year the gala was held on April 17, at the LeMont Restaurant. Guests enjoyed taking pictures in fabulous masks, participating in various fundraising challenges and enjoying a great evening designed to celebrate TRAC’s 39 years of service. Attendees purchased cupcakes for $20 each as part of a 50/50 raffle. Once all cupcakes were purchased, each person bit into their cupcake at the same time to see which one had the winning filling. The winner received $500 but quickly donated it back to TRAC. Guests also showed how big their heart was by purchasing paper hearts from $25 to $500. For $250 one could support a family attendance for an annual trauma-informed resource family retreat.
THE EVENING PRAYER—Brother Marlon Martin
KDKA-TV LONGTIME PRODUCERS OF ‘A WAITING CHILD’—Lori Sperling, Laura Stephen, Lynne Hayes-Freeland and Karri Rickard
LADIES BEHIND THE MASK—Jackie Wilson and Ja-Neen Jones
KEYNOTE SPEAKER—Armenia Johnson (Photos by Debbie Norrell)
EVENT SPONSORS—Representing Highmark: John Baranski, Lindsey Baranski, Paul Mashami, Candace Baranski, Neil Parham and Nolan Lewis
TRAC STAFF MEMBERS—Laverne Adams and Damen Taylor
EVENT SPONSORS—Representing Wendy’s: Roberta Klaus, Rico Campbell, Mark Thompson, Jennifer Barber, Terri Smiley, Rick Riebold, Brad Blankenship and Eric Snyder
THE WINNING CUPCAKE
Dr. Armenia Johnson was the keynote speaker for the evening. Dr. Johnson is the first single person in Allegheny County to be approved as a single adoptive parent. That was in 1974. She is now the mother of three sons and a grandmother. She said adoption agencies should be on a mission to find loving homes. She said adoption was one of the best choices that she ever made.
TRAC’s primary goal is to ensure all children grow up in a loving permanent family. Dr. Jacqueline D. Wilson, TRAC CEO, said much has changed in 39 years from the number of children placed due to drug exposure and abuse, to the need to place the older youth. TRAC has worked fervently to ensure the development of skills knowledge and programs to address these changes, in order to unmask the hurts of children and assist them in healing from the trauma of their life experiences. TRAC has placed or assisted in the placement of over 7,200 children.

Here's what readers are saying about Sweet Home Cowboy:
"I love visiting Marietta and Sage's Chocolate Shop. The town's people add humor, romance and drama to the story. Marin Thomas made me believe in true love. This book is the perfect addition to Love at the Chocolate Shop series." ~Rosemary K
"Ms Thomas has created in Wes and Elena two characters with depth and true emotions. Many of the moments between Wes and Elena warmed my heart, bringing true joy while experiencing the growth of their love for each other." ~Becky
"The whole story was well wrote and won my heart from the mean mangy cat to Elena's grumpy great grandfather and her trying to win them over and of course her romance with the Cowboy I was enraptured and was sad to see the book end." ~Bonnie
"As people are mended, so goes the house. As it gets transformed from rundown into beautiful, Elena and Wes and the Judge and Sandra find joy and happiness in each other. The power and beauty in this book is the love that flows all around the Judge and how, finally, he can tap into it and love back after being so afraid and angry and hurt. Even Elena's mother transforms and moves to
Marietta." ~Monique

Coming June 20th...
Will uncovering the missing money, uncover a second chance at love?
National champion bull rider Nash Dean agrees to compete in his hometown rodeo to help raise money for the son of his former high-school crush and trick pony rider, Stella Carter. He chose rodeo over Stella all those years ago, but when the bull Nash draws kills her husband and the money from the fundraiser goes missing...walking away from his first love and her little boy isn’t an option. While the Knight Agency investigates, Nash, Stella and her son hit the circuit together, taking part in the cowboy Christmas rodeos across the state of Wyoming. As soon as Nash earns enough money to help Stella get back on her feet again, he’ll go his own way. But after living in close quarters with the mother and son, Nash can’t remember why winning another national title is so important to him. Before long Nash realizes that he isn’t just riding for money—he’s riding for a second chance with his first love. Stella Carter believed she’d banished Nash from her heart, but he’s back, stirring up old feelings and memories that remind her of what real love feels like. But Stella’s heart isn’t the only one at stake this time. Her son is bonding with Nash in a way he hadn’t with his own father. This go-round if Nash is willing to pledge his heart, he might be able to have it all—his rodeo career and a ready-made family.
