PAW PATROL: THE MIGHTY MOVIE, directed by Cal Brunker, 2023.

☝☝☝☝
Wise words from a wise man
A person who hates dogs cannot, a priori, call a huge number of Pomeranian Spitz “cute” and be madly touched by the way one of the pups licked Harold on the cheek. There's more Harold here, who really hates dogs, than Humdinger himself, who is happy about the insanely large number of pups.
Cal Brunker and the movies are fucked up.

Cal Brunker (the director of the movies) gave Skye her moment skydiving in the first movie because his daughter was 4 and she really liked Skye. The second movie was made partly for his daughter and partly so that girls could feel represented more (they're trying to push girls into the spotlight, with Liberty and Skye being utilized more).
You're definitely right that Marshall doesn't act like himself in the movies though (no elevator wipeouts, no clumsiness, and Rubble taking all of his jokes).
Definitely not surprised here (in a good way, sort of). Every time we have girl power for a female character in whatever media where said girls are in less numbers than the boys in this media, it's because someone behind the scenes has a daughter, a niece or something who asked for a girl in the team or likes the girl they have in the team.
For Transformers, Arcee was created for that same reason: Some (or one? I don't remember well, I'm bad with numbers) of the producers had a daughter who liked Transformers and complained there were no girl robots, so they included one for her. Later down the road, some more followed. We still don't have A BUNCH of femmes (how we call female Transformers in a general way), but it all started just for that.
As a woman/girl myself, I gotta say I DO LIKE the representation and all that XD Even more when, by PERSONAL experience, I meet so many more girls than boys when I join online spaces about cartoons/animes/series I like that are usually targeted to the male audience (InuYasha, Pokémon, Digimon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Knight Rider, Transformers, Sonic The Hedgehog, Megaman, I could spend half a post just listing). It's funny how they need to be reminded that WE ARE WATCHING THESE SHOWS TOO.
As for the last part, I actually think Rubble was pretty okay- the jokes were in his element at least, mostly related to food every time. He didn't TAKE Marshall's jokes, he had his own ones, what happened was mostly he took Marshall's MOMENTS for jokes, like, Marshall just needed TO HAVE THESE MOMENTS TOO. Marshall would have joked MORE on other situations in the movie, he's the one to always light up their mood. Rubble was himself, Marshall wasn't. Even Rocky got to crack a joke at the end which was pretty much in his element as well.

Please, stop demonizing the tv-show version of Humdinger. He has nothing in common with his cruel image from Cal Brunker's fan fiction.

screw the mighty pups film (hot take those who ship s***e)
You all remember Zuma was going to have a support role and more screentime according to Cal Brunker?
That was scratched off, but I think FANDOM wiki is to blame for their trash rules of taking out legitimate admins and allowing faulty AI.😒
The only BAD NEWS I found is the film writers will forget Marshall’s existence in favor of Skye and Chase scenes. (LIKE DID YOU FORGET CHARSHALL aka the shepherd x dally best friends EXISTS?)
Honest to heavens, it infuriates me to no end.
Sorry to rain their parades of if all those who ship them, but I see Skye and Chase as step-siblings more than you imagine. It will be explained in my headcanons for sure.😑
Marshall could have been the next lead in the Mighty Pups film with a tragic backstory and Chase being the support role for him. Or explore more of Zuma & Skye’s friendship. It works much more than what we have now.
All of what I’ve researched thus far; including Skye’s non-existent size inferiority and turning her into a strong twink made me NOT WANT to see the feminist sequel, dislike CAL’s first movie adaptation for derailing Chase’s character, and appreciate the older seasons up until the lonely ghost episode. (Marshall-centric episodes from season 9 onwards still matters, so let me know there are at least a few)

So about the 3rd movie there is a lot of evidence to back it up 1st of all the T-shirt Ryder holds up in the first movie has Chase Skye and Marshall second the tv movies are the same characters and third Marshall is the third most popular pup I just wish cal Brunker wasn’t doing the 3rd movie because it will have the same plot line but it is up to spin master on who gets third and most likely it will be Marshall especially since Rubble has the spin off series and most likely Rubbles movie will be for the spin off
Logically, it does seem like Marshall should be next in line to be the focus of the theatrical films. Whether or not Spin Master or Brunker agree to that or not, however, is still anyone's best guess. As much as I'd like to see it be Marshall, a part of me can't help but feel they'll throw a curve ball at us. We'll just have to wait and see.
If anything, I don't think it should be Rubble though, since like you mentioned, he has his spinoff. The pup gets enough attention, so I think it's only fair others get it now. And goodness knows, after season 9, Marshall could deserve some love.

— WOW! MAYOR HUMDINGER IS SO EVIL! THE EVILLEST MAN ON THE EARTH! HE BELONGS TO JAIL!
Meanwhile Mayor Humdinger from PAW Patrol World: *asks Ryder for forgiveness, repents of what he has done, no one in the city hates him, mayor agrees to a joint holiday, and his dirty tricks are regarded as a fun adventure for him and pups*
Also here's some good ending where absolutely everyone is happy, both mayors and Ryder :)
THAT'S HOW PAW Patrol must work.
There's no need to do Mayor Humdinger more devilish than he's in the tv-show because he's not so evil as others make him.
Cal Brunker, fuck you and your movies for that.
PAW Patrol is supposed to teach that everyone can redeem themselves and has an another chance. Your films teach that you make an already evil person even more evil, and you don't solve it because pups need a punching bag.
No, thank you. I don't agree with this evil-to-jail policy. PAW Patrol World is more PAW Patrol Movie to me than the all movies Brunker did (and actually in the game all pups have their big screen time, lol).

Heya!
I'm Doc_Locked, but you can just call me "Doc" if that's more convenient. I am an artist who studies academic drawing at the university, but at the same time I also draw all sorts of things from cartoons, films, games and TV shows.
Since 2018, I've been known to draw Mayor Humdinger from the PAW Patrol, despite the fact that I can't be called a fan of the show, because pups are the last thing I'm interested in (with the exception of Tracker, Rex, Moby and Rubble, I find them cute). I'm into a lot of fandoms, but the following ones stand out in particular:
Doctor Who;
Osamu Tezuka's Star System;
Naoki Urasawa's MONSTER;
Don't Starve;
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure;
PAW Patrol (through I'm not in the fandom I just like drawing mayor Humdinger for my soul).
Status:
Commissions are CLOSED
Requests - well, you can try asking me to draw something, but I might not take it on...
As for the PAW Patrol you must know about me that:
✅ Mayor Humdinger and Speed Meister are my favorite characters in the show, Goodway/Humdinger is my OTP.
❌ I do not support political jokes about characters in this show so if you'll start talking about it with me I'll ingnore it. Also I'll ignore hate-speech towards characters I draw.
✅ There's no character in the show that I hate. I like all the pups and all the humans. Let's have a respect to the each other's interests.
❌ There's no need to remind me that Mayor Humdinger is a villain who deserves punishment. I know. Thank you for your (not) useful fact. Have a nice day, tho.
✅ I'm not into pups' shipping, sorry. You can't talk to me about this stuff but I'm respect your interest in it.
❌ I've seen PAW Patrol Movie, but I haven't seen PAW Patrol Mighty Movie yet. I disapprove of Cal Brunker's take on Humdinger and don't recognize it as my favorite image.
P. S. This blog is not recommended for people under 16 (cause I'm drawing some bloody, mature and post-irony adult stuff about PAW Patrol despite it's kid's show but absurdity is the whole point).
