Edwin & Sa'al — Meeting again after Port Townsend

After a case ends with the client going to Hell, Sa'al is the demon sent to Earth to drag them down. He's surprised to run into Edwin again.

+1000 for Sa'al being all "Edwin! Mate! How's it been?!" and Edwin, who's now safe from being dragged back to Hell, just starts bitching about everything that happened in Port Townsend. +10000000 for Charles being protective af but also very confused as to who this demon is and why Edwin seems to be having a catch up with him.

Edwin & Sa'al — Hell Crack

So we all saw that Sa'al was apologetic about having to take Edwin to Hell on a technicality, so I'd love a fic where he tries to make it up to Edwin once they arrive in Hell.

Maybe he gives Edwin (poor terrified, has no idea what's going on Edwin) a quick tour, or tries to introduce him to other souls so Edwin will have some friends in Hell. Maybe Sa'al was the one who subtly pointed out the passages to escape but it took Edwin 70 years to get the hint because Sa'al gave him the information in riddles.

+ points for not going to hard on any angst. Mostly hoping for Edwin going "what the fuck is going on???" while Sa'al is trying to be nice to him.

Ghostcrow — Canon AU: Monty traded to hell

Instead of turning Monty back into a crow, Esther knocks him out to deal with later. After she finds out from the Cat King about Edwin's time in Hell, she gets Monty to tell her what little Edwin said about it: a mention that he was traded between demons because they value an innocent sacrifice.

Esther promptly sacrifices human Monty to a demon in exchange for snake food to buy her a couple more years of youth. Monty's in the Doll House when Edwin's brought back there, and they work together trying to escape until Charles arrives to bomb their way out. Lots of crowghost bonding under pressure.

+ Different/more areas of Hell than the show. ++ The demon Esther calls is Sa'al. +++ Once the deal is struck and Sa'al realizes he got a crow familiar instead of the promised human boy, he eats Esther.

Edwin/Sa'al — Angsty crackpairing, monsterfucker!Edwin (kind of...)

Edwin told Crystal that his soul was traded from demon to demon because he doesn't want anyone to know what really happened during his time in Hell: Sa'al lost his claim on Edwin's soul because he protected Edwin instead of torturing him, and eventually they fell in love.

When the Doll Spider found out, it used this to get ownership over both Sa'al (turning him into a powerless lower level demon) and Edwin. For 70 years, Sa'al did what he could to keep Edwin as safe as possible, including helping him escape Hell. The last time Edwin saw Sa'al, he sacrificed himself on the spiral staircase to stop the Doll Spider from catching Edwin.

The second time Edwin was dragged to Hell, he tries to find Sa'al again. Whether or not he finds Sa'al is up to Anon, but I would prefer a happy ending.

+ Sa'al leaves Hell and joins the Agency, or, if he had managed to rank back up in the 30 years since Edwin saw him, he gives Edwin a way to summon him whenever he wants. + Niko (with all her manga knowledge) affectionately calling Edwin a demon/monsterfucker at some point, and Edwin is appalled.
