S!Glitchtrap used to be William in the Swap AU—and prior to the present, he was still Spring/Scraptrap, so he’d still gotten springlocked.

How it happened was simple—and was never caused by anyone. He was simply testing out the suit, when, uh-oh, he failed to realize something, and the springlocks went off.

It was worse than the first accidental one—but he still assumed that it’d be alright. S!Henry was around, and he figured his friend would help him out, like last time.

But he didn’t—and S!William was simply brought into one of the other rooms by S!Henry, and was then trapped in there.

The springlocking for him happens way earlier here—he loses Evan in October of 1983, Elizabeth in November of 1983—pretty close together, and then while other things are still occurring...

The last Springlock failure happens in January of 1984.
