Wakana Classics 2024 !!〜Let's Continue to Share Special Moments of Music Together〜

We finished "Wakana Classics 2024" successfully on December 18th!! It was so much fun...(((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))♡ I feel like I'm getting closer to you all with each passing year. It seemed like everyone was absorbing the music with so much care. We ourselves on stage savoured every note, wishing that these special moments would last forever✨ I really didn't want the concert to end...😢 I wanted to spend more time with you all and just continue singing forever😭🎶 Thank you so much to everyone who shared this wonderful time with us! ! (=´∀｀)人(´∀｀=)

Now of course I would like to post a bunch of photos😊 First of all, here are some pics from the end of the after-event for Botanical Land members! The sound of camera shutters cut through the silence📸 We looked smug at first😎 But then I couldn't stand the silence anymore and broke into a smile😂

Afterwards, during the send-off, many people expressed regret that I didn't sing "Get Wild"🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sorry everyone *laughs* If it had been up to me, I would have sung it but during last year's poll, it had the lowest ranking😂 So I chose "Yume no Yukue" which was second place😂 But next time, I'll definitely sing "Get Wild"!! *laughs* I had no idea everyone liked "Get Wild" so much. I wonder though why it was ranked last in the poll??? 🤣 The minds of my fellow Botanical Land members are obscure, I can't make sense of it😂😂

Now I would like to share some shots of the four of us together＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／ First, us after rehearsal. We were getting ready for the show to start soon. Then there's us just before the show started. We were like "Yeeeessss!!" After the show. The look of people who have zero regrets *laughs* Then, our usual Sushizanmai pose＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／🍣🍣🍣🍣🍵 Aaaaaah~ This makes me crave sushi at Sushizanmai. I really want to eat it right now🍣🤤

This time, I chose a white dress👗✨ There are so many buttons on the back✨ (It's hard for the person who helps me put it on.) I tried jumping again🕊🕊Yeehawwwwwww! ... ＼(^o^)／ Landing👣

I want to continue holding this concert forever, and I once again realised that I want to spend many more moments of music together with everyone😊 It was the last concert of the year, but I feel like something new is starting from here, it's like I found something new.

I'm sure we'll be spending many more moments of music together in the future. I'm really looking forward to seeing you again😆

Lilies, budding at 4,000' in the shade of Red Fir atop the South Fork Mountains. Think these will turn out to be Leopard Lilies, Lilium pardalinum, based off the location and elevation.

Edit: I've gone back to the spot, turns out they are washington lilies, Lilium washingtonianum purpurescens

seeing this ask on my dash and I'm reminded of your art and holy shit. have u ever done any more of those Brazilian inspired fantasy art?

Not as much as I should!! ahhhh I've been thinking about it actually, on drawing more BR monsters and such, cause we have a lot of cool ones in our roster!

On the other hand, I'm always throwing BR stuff here and there in my work, even if it's not so obvious!

My main OC Jupiter is meant to be Brazilian/Brazilian adjacent, her name is written and read almost the same way in PT-BR ("Júpiter")

There's also Persie, my other OC, who is also BR, she's black/BR-indigenous - I drew her before as a kid, wearing Karajá accessories

And my most recent OCs, from drizzle/LAND! They are like a "Japanese idol group" sort of thing but they have LOTS of BR easter eggs going on!

"drizzle land" is a direct reference/translation of "Terra da Garoa", the epithet of the city of São Paulo, where I was born; it was called like that because it used to rain/drizzle all the time here (hello global warming *laughs nervously*)

Their above album is called "Under the Silver Rain", a reference to a BR song called "Chuva de Prata" ("Silver Rain"), famous in the voice of singer Gal Costa. I have other names for drizzle/LAND's albums in their discography, and they are all references to Brazilian Music - "Sunflowers in the Color of Your Hair" (Um Girassol da Cor de Seu Cabelo, song by Clube da Esquina), "Dance of the Butterflies" ("Dança das Borboletas" by Zé Ramalho, especially his version with Sepultura lmao) and "A Forest Named Solitude" (ref to a famous BR nursery rhyme, Se Essa Rua Fosse Minha)

AME/haru (her stage name) is Brazilian-Japanese; her real full name is Íris Santana Fujioka, reflecting her BR background, Íris is kind of a rare name here, but like not super unheard of; and "Santana" is a pretty common last name here~

Her sketchbook has the sticker of a BR meme in it lmao it's the version of it drawn by BR artist WillTirando, bc I have that exact same sticker on one of my sketchbooks sdhjfgsjhdgfjhsdf

ANYWAY! Not exactly the answer you were looking for, but I hope the other refs/easter eggs were fun enough hehe

13 Wolf Oaks in the Ohio Hills. My finished project for Fun-a-Day 2023. This piece is a collection of embroidered leaves representing 13 large oak trees I used in a research project from 2018. The trees I studied had grown in the open in pastures and influenced the development of the forest that regenerated after the land was abandoned from agriculture. Several species are represented: white, chestnut, post, chinkapin, and black oaks. Working with metallic floss on this scale was very challenging but rewarding. The use of gold reflects both the warm colors of oak forest leaf litter and suggests the leaves themselves as ceremonial objects, tying into the experience of research as ritual. The leaves were collected in Winter 2018/19 and were therefore present, either on the trees or in the litter layer, while I collected data for this project.

It showed as part of the Fun-a-Day art show in February with a companion booklet guide to each leaf/tree and a copy of my pasture tree ecology paper from 2020.

Happy New Year🌟〜Please Continue to Support me in 2025‼︎〜

Happy New Year everyone🎍😊🎍 With the new year upon us, I feel even more determined to spend as much time as possible with everyone, sharing happiness laughter😃 May this year be filled with joy, energy, and love✨

I spent the New Year with my family, here are some photos they took of me on New Year's Eve, it looks like I am having a blast😂I decided to make a collage out of the photos. This makes it look like a proper New Year's card💌 Thank you for your continued support in 2025‼ ️✨＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／✨

We had sukiyaki on New Year's Eve🤤 My brother was in charge. Doesn't it look delicious?😍 It tasted amazing...😍 We had soba noodles while watching the Red & White Year-end Song Festival, after that we greeted the new year while watching a Silvester Concert, then we went to bed😊

The next day, on New Year's Day morning, my sister-in-law made some great New Year's dishes!! ! ! ! ! I have no words to describe how amazing all of it was...😭✨The table setting was gorgeous too...😭✨ It not only looked beautiful, everything was also really delicious, I just wanted to keep on eating😭✨ (My sister-in-law is actually a professional cook)

There were cute little bunnies in the different New Year's dishes and in the zoni! 🐰 (I helped cut the kamaboko into decorative shapes 😊 It was difficult but fun 😆) We were all able to put whatever we liked on our plate🍚 I'm not the type of person who can eat a lot all at once, so I like to take my time and eat a little at a time. So I guess this sort of New Year's arrangement works best for me 😂. It's fun to eat all kinds of things slowly, little by little, while chatting ☺️💕

In the afternoon, we were all watching "The Solitary Gourmet" on TV, and the fried horse mackerel looked really delicious...🐟 I was captivated by the crispy texture of the fried food that Goro was eating... My sister-in-law then suggested that we should just fry the leftover shrimps from the day before. This is what she made for us! 🍤 Beautiful fried shrimp!!! 🍤With tartar sauce!!! ! ! ! (The heart-shaped lemon slices are so cute♡) She even fried some maitake mushrooms and sweet potatoes together😭✨ We all ate the crispy and juicy fried foods while they were still fresh❣️ It was the best...😭💕Freshly fried is food is truly the best😭💕

I had a really fun New Year's holiday~(((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))) I got to re-charge my energy🤗 I know that many of you are busy, but please make sure to take time to look after your mind and body😊

The first big thing I am looking forward to this year is getting to meet you all at the Kalafina concert!

Tree roots along Mayo Lane, Oldham County KY. Truly a lane, two cars cannot pass unless one pulls over. The farms along Mayo lane date back to land grants given to Revolutionary War veterans, when Kentucky was still on the frontier.
