Design for ida and her shuteye minions

(intended as a stand in for tfone airachnid but still her own character separate from that)

She was once a lifeless computer called sentinel that tarantuals remade into what she is today. his loyal right-hand lady and his eyes to the outside world. Her story fills nightbird with false hope that joining the six clan is progress towards her goal

Ida is a strange creature, she doesn't speak unless spoken to and is completely socially inept, but is always watching and recoding everything, her Shuteyes are essentially the transformer version of tumors, pieces of her body that take on a pseudo life of their own and grow out of control, but thanks to being pumped full of dark energon they degrade at the same rate that they grow keeping her functional and allowing her to reanimate them as extra eyes she can see through

She sits at the top of the six clan's hierarchy even though she lacks the six modes they're known for and observes the whole world and reports it back to her master Tarantulas with utmost loyalty, as in her eyes he liberated her from a life of servitude, not realizing thats just a lie to get her to serve him.

Before she was a real transformer, ida was a computer called sentinel aboard the maximal ship the axalon, where she served as a security system during the beast wars, as the conflict progressed the axalon was eventually destroyed, and and sentinel was left behind at the bottom of the ocean, until the wounded tarantulas found it after everything was over and used it for parts to build him a loyal enforcer, tarantulas told ida of her origins spinning it to sound as though she was a slave of Tarantula's enemies which he freed, and now is endebted to him, inexperienced with the world she bought it wholesale and never questions tarantula's orders, in fact she has even grown to take some delight in the cruelty he has her inflict on people

Ida works alongside the bubbly and energetic Navi-ko to ensure the six clan do as tarantulas desires, their origins as lifeless machines are well known and learning of them led nightbird to believe they were the ideal people for her to be around and that the six clan would grant her the personhood she so desperately desires but realized too late that their even though they had sparks their lifestyles left them with no lives of their own, and stripped them of many things nightbird idealized about life that she didn't realize she already had. They have no personal connections, no hobbies, only their work, and used their own authority to reject any attempt at steering them away from that.

What kind of life makes someone so devoid of aspirations? One without accountability, living in the comfortable top of their society Ida has never had to deal with consequences for her actions, she doesn't even have to hold herself accountable for enjoying the horrible things she does because she does it for Tarantulas and that has twisted her into even more of a cold calculating lifeless robot than she ever was. Not realizing she's optimizing her aproach to cruelty to pay some imaginary debt but because she likes it

Who doesn't love dinos? Liars and mountebanks, that's who. So it's a whole set of dino-formers for this month's @tfwiki Patreon-backed pic set! Let's kick things off with the goodest of dinobois, the lovable JAWBREAKER, in his Deluxe EarthSpark form.

Speaking of adorable, how about TRYPTICON in "MyClone" form? This line of soft-plastic modular super-deformed mini-figs from 2002 Takara included not just TFs, but various other Takara lines, Tsuburaya characters (like Ultraman) and adorable animals.

We're keeping the cute train rolling with a fave of mine, ROARISTA from BotBots. Yes, this is a coffee machine and carafe that turns into a t-rex-bot with a power cord tail. How can you not love it. Wish she'd been in the cartoon.

Okay you knew this was coming. It's Legacy DINOKING, finally fulfilling the role the Legacy Core Dinobot molds were blatantly meant to be all along. You can get a much more natural axe-handling pose by putting the scythe fully trough the fist.

The two standouts of Dinoforce, team leader GORYU and team schmuck KAKURYU. This set come with a ton of all new parts; not just new heads but extra accessories for more anime flavor. Kakuryu got his axe, but no shrimpy revolver, dang.

RIARYU lacks his anime melee weapon, but gains a pair of massive missile pods that emulate the original's, and form footplates for Dinoking. GAIRYU has a whole new larger dino-tail/cannon that makes for a bulkier Dinoking forearm.

DORYU gets a scythe... which he didn't in the anime. That went to YOKURYU, but his new part is a huge "cannon"/blatant chunk of Dinoking forearm. You can swap them around if you like, I can't stop you. I'm not your dad (as far as you know).

"Whycomes no classic Dinobot characters?" you ask. Okay, here's GRIMLOCK... the 2015 Robots in Disguise Grimlock, in Kre-O Kreon form. This "Armor Up" set was a Dollar General exclusive(!), and was supposed to come in three decos... but wave 2 of this series never happened.

No, he's not a dino-bot, but he did accidentally merge with Jawbreaker that one time, and I like this toy a lot so here's EarthSpark Deluxe AFTERMATH as a bonus as I was feelin' punchy. Man I love this design.

Design for Spice Whirl ( latte spice whirl )

A whirl where everything went right for her in life, she actually gets to be a watch maker and cares for another whirl as a sister. The first ever bit of misfortune in her life was the xantium incident, but that only ever led to greater things

Spice is an autobot wrecker from the ark. Cheerful and energetic Spice loves to be helpful and care for others, but having lived a life of relative luxury compared to the other autobots, she grew fascinated with people from an outsiders point of view, not quite a psychologist, Spice Whirl likes to entertain herself by purposely acting strange to see people's reaction to certain things. Enjoying being the center of attention and pushing her friends to confront things about themselves and become better than they were before

Recently however she has picked up an violent knee biting chaos gremlin otherwise known as her sister, the other Whirl. Enthusiastic to a fault, Spice wants to temper Whirl's enthusiasm in the life of a wrecker, reasoning manufacturing and invention can give her the action she craves without putting her in too much danger, but Whirl dreams of breaking noses, (likely because she doesn't have one)

On earth Spice consistently works with her fellow wrecker Leadfoot as the autobot rotorforce sub team standing out as anti chemical weapon specialists, the two couldn't be more different, a literal ray of sunshine that hasn't suffered a day in her life and the world's most tormented rudest man, but unlikely as it seems the two have a really good friendship and work together like a well oiled machine. the world leadfoot wants to create is one where everyone can live Spice's life, and the world Spice wants to create is one where everyone can grow and improve like leadfoot.

so everyone loves this last dunce squad post apparently

i saw some tags on it today that made me boot up my old computer to draw this because i think it's VITAL that you understand that Dave WILL win in a fight. this is a group that operates on Murphy's Law to function and Dave is the most Murphy of them all. i don't know what enemy they had to face down, idk Terrorcons or something? scraplets? Megatron himself? it doesn't matter, because none of the three government agents nor the police captain who canonically carries a bazooka were the ones to claim victory in this fight

Barbiegirl (she/her) is vain and fun. Think of the stereotype of a 2000s era popular girl. Her life in plastic IS fantastic! She's a teen queen. Shes that girl. She's everything.

She could also be considered a botbot I guess. I KNOW thats not the same as a minicon but I made this character like 2 years ago so don't get too caught up in the logistics. I picture her standing at around 1ft tall, but I guess she could be anywhere between 8inches to 2ft tall.

BG is quickly becoming a fan favorite on Art-fight. So I was reminded that I should probably share her with Tumblr aswell~ 💖
