#Boris still hasn't woken up and Felix said it was BORIS'S choice didn't he? Same reason he wasn't allowed to adopt

Okay so let's talk Felix
So warning for Inky Mystery spoilers [hi moots who keep seeing me post about this but have no idea what I'm talking about] up to chapter 349
I'll start this off with Felix is my least favorite quester, and it all comes down to his character development, but this chapter was the first time I got excited for his character
We're introduced to Felix by his books that Bendy reads, and in hindsight maybe Bendy being blinded by the fact Felix was his idol was a warning for the character we were being introduced to, and I feel he's going to have a "fall from grace" moment like Mickey and Boris did that hasn't happened yet, have felt that way for a really long time but hey maybe I'm wrong
Because Felix himself hasn't acknowledged his issues, we don't even get an idea he has issues asides his pining for Oswald until way later in the series. Which if I remember correctly, is when Felix starts to consider adoption.
His character arc is more then being a father, it's the hurdles he has to face and confront in order to be able to provide as a good father, and he can do that for Bendy in the eyes of the law [I wouldn't be surprised if this is when Bendy realizes Felix isn't as good as he thought he was, further proving why Felix isn't ready as a father, but that's speculation for now]
But in reality he isn't. He still runs away from zanies, sure he has a bad history with it but would he be ale to not just properly step up to what could be a gag, but be confident it isn't? Or that if it is he would still help his sons? Can he confront his zany family? Familial attachments, not just close family but distant relatives, and family history is important for a child's development. Would he be willing to acknowledge that whoever he dates and their effects and abilities to be there for his sons? To make the sacrifices and to put his foot down to be there for his sons as support isn't just love and trust but also preventing them from being hurt?
Felix hasn't shown any of these traits, I dare say the Cupbros and Holly have shown to be better older familial figures in those senses then Felix has at this point in the series.
The boys can't make Felix a better person by being his sons, but Felix can be a better person by trying to be a good father and THIS is why this chapter was needed. He needed to be told he isn't ready and to realize he hasn't actually gotten better, to me when Canola told Felix "You're still acting like a zany" she wasn't being harsh on him for being a zany, and I think on some level it's more metaphorical then literal.
He's not acknowledging reality; just like a zany, and he's pulling all stops to get what he wants, like a zany. Now, he has to be realistic, not idealistic as he has been. I mean, his intro to the series was basically "oh wow! You're on an adventure? Can I come I love adventures" without any knowledge of who he was joining or what he was getting into. And he's doing the same with the Bbros, yes he considered it more intently in the sense "will I be a good dad?" but he didn't stop to ACTUALLY consider that question. Why would he? Everyone else said he'd do great and the Bbros need a father, and Felix looks extremely put together and he's rich of course he'd be a good dad.
I have never been more excited to read about Felix then I have been for this chapter. I know he can be better, I just need to see it.
