One Villainous Scene: Taking The Bullet

I cannot even begin to explain this one in full context. Just watch the scene. It’s the climactic moment where the heroine is about to make the final kill of the Big Bad who'd masterminded virtually everything that has happened to her in the show and just orchestrated a gory, truly appalling (but also bloody hilarious) crescendo of death and mass destruction as he leaving his experimental town behind. He's already in his helicopter when a screaming Saya comes rushing on the scene, sword in hand, and while you see no realistic way for her to be able to gain on him and make it to the chopper to kill him, you still don't doubt that somehow she will. Because that's how these stories have to go down, and you just know and believe in your heart that she's going to get this guy. And then...BANG! Fumito fires his gun, half of Saya's face is blown clean off, and she falls down to the water below, her corpse sinking like a rock while Fumito taunts her with one last bit of knowledge regarding the scheme he worked on her as the chopper flies off into the night. Saya would regenerate from this momentary death, get back on her feet and go hunt Fumito down to elsewhere, but what followed was not covered in the show.

In the end, this was one ellaborate, extravaggent, absolutely sick joke to Fumito, and this brutally subversive act was the punchline it all built to. Few "the hero fails and the bad guy gets away with everything" endings have stuck with me quite as much as this one.

Do You Know This Anime?

I’m just curious what you guys have seen and which Blood media is your favorite. For me, I’ve seen it all except for Blood-C. I had no idea Blood-C existed until recently so I’m currently watching it. I was having a dilemma on which anime series to watch next, but I decided to watch Blood-C to pay respect for the rest of the Blood media I’ve already seen in the past. So until then, I do not have a favorite. I didn���t realize there were many mangas and films released for each different Blood anime film/series so I’m just gonna put the main Blood films and series that were first released before their secondary media.
