For serious though, I really like how the movie explored the idea that miserable people try to spread their misery, and how this kind of behavior doesn't actually make you feel any better. And that if Krupp's personal life improves, he'll have the emotional space to actually do well by his students. I want to take it further. Don't just give him a girlfriend, make that middle-aged man a lesbian. It couldn't make her any worse (...unless you take into account that she's the principal of a public elementary school in 1990s/2000s America. That might be a problem. Please ignore that).
