Writing Notes: Poison Ivy & Poison Oak
Poison ivy and poison oak - plants that cause an allergic skin reaction in most people who are exposed to them.
Poison Ivy - generally thought of as a climbing vine, can also grow as a shrub or bush.
It has leaves that are elliptical in shape and grow in groups of 3 on a stem.
Common in the US, except in the southwest, Alaska, and Hawaii.
Poison Oak - grows as a shrub
Has leaves that are shaped like oak leaves and grow in groups of 3 to a stem.
Common in the US, especially on the west coast from Mexico to Canada.
Symptoms
The symptoms for poison ivy and poison oak are the same.
Usually the first symptoms to appear are: itchiness and
swelling in the areas of contact.
The itchy rash that follows is made up of small pimple-like bumps (sometimes referred to as papules), as well as
blisters that later break open, ooze, and crust over.
In most cases, the condition goes away in 2 weeks.
Not everyone is sensitive to poison ivy and poison oak.
However, 9 out of 10 people who come in contact with either of the plants will have an allergic reaction to some degree.
All parts of the plants are poisonous and the amount of time it takes for an allergic reaction to develop varies from person to person.
The extent and severity of the reaction depends on the length of exposure, type of contact, and how sensitive the person is to the plants.
If a person is going to have an allergic reaction, it will usually occur within one or two days of exposure. However, some people have a reaction within an hour, whereas others don’t experience a reaction until 5 days after the exposure.
Causes
The substance that causes the allergic reaction is the same for both plants. It is an oily resin called urushiol.
It only takes a small amount of the resin to cause a reaction.
The resin can be transferred to the skin by directly touching the plant or indirectly by coming in contact with something that has touched the plant, such as tools, animals, or clothing. Although animals are rarely affected, they can carry the resin on their fur and transfer it to humans.
According to the experts at the University of Maryland Medical Center, the ‘‘chemical [resin] can remain active for more than a year.’’
Treatment
Anyone who comes in contact with either plant should wash the exposed area with soap and water immediately.
Taking a bath immediately after contact is not recommended, because that could spread the resin to other areas of the body.
All clothing, including shoes and shoelaces, should be removed carefully and either washed separately or discarded.
For minor cases, hydrocortisone cream and Calamine lotion can provide relief until the symptoms disappear.
Over-the-counter Benadryl capsules help with the itching.
Some people find oatmeal or baking soda baths to be soothing as well.
Oral steroids, such as prednisone, are available for more serious cases, especially those affecting the face, eyes, mouth, or genitals.
If signs of infection develop, such as pus and a fever, patients should contact their doctors.
Patients should consult their physicians before they use any ointments that contain benzocaine or zirconium, because they can cause an allergic reaction that worsens the condition.
Antihistamine ointments are not recommended for the same reason. The experts at the Alabama Cooperative Extension System caution that ‘‘some people have severe allergic reactions to these plants and can have swelling in the throat, breathing problems, weakness, dizziness, and bluish lips.’’
Emergency medical care should be sought if any serious reactions occur.
Prevention
The best prevention is know what the plants look like and to avoid them.
A common saying should be kept in mind: Leaves of three, let them be.
People who plan to be in an area where poison ivy and poison oak might be found should wear protective clothing, such as long-sleeved shirts and long pants.
Eradication of the plants should be handled with care.
As stated by the experts at the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, ‘‘burning can be dangerous and is not recommended for disposal or as a control measure, because the toxic oil from the plant can be carried in the smoke.’’
Instead they recommend spraying the plants with glyphosate, which is commonly known as the brands Roundup or Kleenup.

Wife <3
Short fic/ description: domestics with your older!neighbor Eddie Munson, who you love with your whole heart!! Marriage is bliss.
Tw: d/s implied dynamics, major breeding/preg kink, family fluff, protective! Eddie Munson, dom-coded! Eddie Munson, sub-coded!Hyperfem reader!!
A/n: I think I might make this a series!
Your pink fingernails tapped on the pastel blue mixer as it mixed the eggs, flour, milk, baking soda and sugar together. You were baking a cake for the return of your beloved husband, Eddie.
Although you were only twenty-three, he was thirty-five, and you first met him as you and your dad moved into Hawkins. Your dad and yourself came from a religious family, and you made sure to make room for G-d in your day to day life.
Your very ‘trustworthy’ next door neighbor was exactly what you wished for. Your relationship grew, the two of you fell in love. Eddie Munson saved you in an way that G-d never would. He was your person, a person that was your home.
You moved in next door with him only a few months after you began to date. A year after, a quiet and eloping wedding in the deep of the Hawkins woods, where you and Eddie swam in the creek naked afterwards, for hours on end.
Here you were then, home-making, adding an earnest addition to the delicious dinner ready for your husband. You rub your belly, swollen with Eddie’s child, as you feel a cramp. Your unborn babe must have been kicking.
You hear your Eds come through the door. Strong, fully tatted arms wrap around you, pulling you close. “How’s my beautiful girl today, huh?,” he asks, with a peck to your cheek, which turns into a long, tender kiss. “M’fine, my Eds. Just cramps.”
He gave you a look of pity, then leaning down to caress your heavy belly, heavy just for him. “How’s my son today, being nice to mommy?,” he chuckles, his hairy hand soothing the swollen stretch marks he gave you.
Just a few months after marriage, the both of you had fulfilled your most primal urges <3 here he had, his young wife, all round and heavy with his child, he bred her to his heart’s content!! Oh, did you love being bred. You and your Eds tried for months, months, for a child. You were almost at full-term now, and how you loved carrying your husband’s seed all this time, feeling it grow inside you.
You sigh, leaning into Eddie as his dark curls tickle your cheek, his beard feels scratchy as he buries his head into your neck. Made dinner f’me, huh? Can’t wait, sweetheart. Go on, you rest on the couch and I’ll take care of you both.” You do as said, and how you loved being coddled by him.
He brings you the dinner that you made, gives you a shoulder, neck, and belly rub , his muscles kneading your skin, you were completely putty in his hands. This was usually apart of your nightly routine. You would face the days worth of chores, pregnancy issues, and more. Eds would come home, feed you, calm you down, and then you were under his spell, wrapped around his tattooed finger (wedding ring tattoos instead of actual rings) all ready to be bred before the night would end.
My happy, heavy wife, hmm?,” he’d say, after a massage. Daddy’s girl, carrying my seed, so fuckin’ good f’me.” At that point, you’d already be panting for him, watching his calloused fingers go up your thigh, squeezing the soft skin you had there.
The cross on the wall watches the both of you with searing contempt, as Eddie starts his ministrations elsewhere, between your legs, one hand gently rubbing your puffy and swollen clit <3 the other rests on your belly.
Sooner rather than later, he has you back up, legs spread, pounding you from behind while you scream, losing your mind at the feeling of his thick cock dragging along your walls, his veins pulsing, his balls softly teasing your puffy lips!!
You chant his name as if he were G-d himself! “Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, was all you could think about, as his wide chest pressed down against your back, having his pregnant wife in a mating press, he finished in you. <3
“You okay, sweets? Let me help you up, yeah?,” he smiles, that chivalrous, protective side of his always showing, growing even stronger for his wife, knowing there is more to protect now <3.
He adjusts you comfortably on the couch, you lay your head on his chest, fingers tracing his happy trail. You felt ever so happy, that warm trail of his seed dripping down your still pulsing walls.
Evolution, biology, have run their course. Both you and Eddie succumbed to your most primal instinct. You were married, owned — pregnant, bred. He would die protecting his wife and unborn child.
The both of your wedding ring tattoos glistened in the light of the dim yellow bulb, covered by a white linen shade with ‘Garfield’ on it.
Gentle hands in larger ones, the both of you drift off to sleep, with Eddie’s hand still around your belly, loving you, cherishing your body.

man last twilight hit me particularly hard today and i'm still crying after finishing the episode.
i spent a good chunk of my day at my specialist today and it wasn't great. my disease is getting worse. my weekly shots aren't enough anymore. i'm so tired and i can't stop fucking crying.
my immune system is fucked up, i produce too many white blood cells and those white blood cells have chosen to attack my skin. it leaves me with holes across my body - some of my wounds are now over a year old. when they heal they leave atrophic scarring - but they aren't even healing anymore.
the specialist gasped at the sight of me today. (i'd never seen her before, my state of being was new to her.)
"you're bleeding."
"i know."
"you're bleeding like, a lot."
"i know. i take iron supplements, it's okay."
"it's going to get all over your pants."
"it's okay."
"are you in pain?"
"yes. i'm used to it."
"are you in a lot of pain?"
"yes. it's okay."
she was so concerned, so alarmed, and i couldn't help but just smile and laugh it off. if i don't i'll end up like i am now, sobbing at my desk hidden away from my family because there's nothing they can do for me, they'll just hug me and say they're so sorry, they wish there was something they could do. but there's nothing anyone can do, this is just my life now.
"how often do you take your shots?"
"every friday."
"the recommended schedule for that medicine is once every two weeks"
"yes, they increased the frequency for me because i'm stage 3"
"and you never miss a dose?"
"no, i take it on schedule every week."
"i don't think it's working anymore."
i try to be strong about it, most of the time i am - this is just my life now, wallowing about it isn't going to fix it. i'm stage 3, the only thing that will fix it is a cure, but that doesn't exist yet.
i recently had to buy those washable period underwear because one of my year old wounds just won't stop bleeding and i'm so tired of washing the blood out of my pants. i've gotten so good at preventing bloodstains. (a mix of dawn dish soap, water, and baking soda as a pre-soak works wonders)
i bought an antimicrobial soap in bulk last week to prevent infection. it dries out my skin, but it's not as bad as the diluted bleach baths. i have to start using 10% benzoyl peroxide as a body wash. "do you have a fever?"
"no, i check regularly."
"your wounds are really deep, we're worried about you potentially going septic."
"i'm very careful and keep them clean."
i buy bandages and tape in bulk. my allergic reaction to the tape adhesives are the lesser of two evils. sometimes they get so bad i bleed, but it's just an abrasion. it's okay.
and now i have to take another round of antibiotics that make me nauseous.
and they're changing my medication. i'm 'lucky,' a new medication was approved by the FDA recently that shows good results in reducing the symptoms of my disease. but how long will it be before i don't respond to that anymore?
it's another biologic, an immunosuppressant shot, and i'm sure just like last time it's going to make me so, so sick. adjusting to biologics is so hard, it's not totally unlike low dose chemo (obviously there are differences) and last time it made me sick for weeks.
i don't want to be sick. i don't want to take these antibiotics that make me nauseous. i don't want to keep scrubbing the blood out of my pants. i don't want to use the soap that dries out my skin. i don't want to wear perfume to cover up the smell of my dying flesh. i can't even have sex with my husband. we recently went a year without having sex and i know he understands, he gets it, but i can't help but think part of him resents me. we got together when i was 22, when my symptoms were still mild, i got my diagnosis at 25. i quit my office job and lost my insurance. we eloped at 27 so he could add me to his insurance and i could afford my treatment. his family spent the next year asking why we were in such a rush to get married, we didn't know how to explain to them it was because my doctor was preparing to declare me completely disabled.
i don't want to be in pain anymore. it's been almost 10 years.
i'm okay, i'll feel better tomorrow, maybe even in a few hours, but i can see why people kill themselves over this. i'm so tired. i'm so defeated. i have to hope there will be a cure someday, something better than just pushing down the symptoms.
if you read this far thank you. like i said, i'm fine. i just wanted to get my thoughts and feelings out and i'm bad about talking to my family - they worry too much, pity me too much.

Health update
I am feeling much better in general.
I'm in my luteal phase, so I do expect to experience some additional skin inflammation. However my face and neck have remained 100% clear despite this. 4 weeks ago they were inflamed.
So the DIM supplement is really helping me make improvements.
I've read that DIM supplements are safe to take longterm as well as the other nutrients in the supplement I have that support estrogen metabolism and liver detoxification pathways. I do not drink and I don't eat a lot of junk food, but a liver support supplement can be very helpful. DIM removes the harmful estrogens that contribute to estrogen dominance, PCOS, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, hormonal cystic acne and skin rashes, and insulin resistance. We are exposed to these harmful estrogens, known as xenoestrogens, on a daily basis. It is found in plastics, receipts, and drinking water. It's been reported to cause early puberty in girls and dumping plastic waste into lakes has been shown to cause hormonal imbalances in frogs such as feminization and infertility. It makes sense because many plastics contain BPA which is an endocrine disruptor.
I am drinking reverse osmosis water and am eating organic foods that are on the dirty dozen list such as strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes, and spinach. I try to use non-irritating skin and hair and teeth and body care products. It's impossible to avoid "toxins" 100% and it's worth being realistic. That's why I want to incorporate liver detoxification support.
The supplement I'm taking is expensive, but it is worth it. I take other supplements too and I can get cheaper yet good quality versions of those. I like my supplement because it contains DIM and other ingredients to support phase 1, 2, and 3 liver detoxification since DIM alone isn't enough.
I'm happy I am healing because I used to deal with severe skin inflammation. My face, neck, and ears are clear. My hands need a bit. But at least they look better than they did 4 weeks ago. I'm going to heal.
While I'm healing I also really want to help my dog heal too. He's a senior dog with colitis and IBS. So we cant to support his gut health with some supplements.
I've been drinking aloe juice as usual. I've been taking digestive enzymes before larger and my first meals each day. I feel they make a huge difference and I don't feel as bloated.
However, enzymes aren't the only thing that play a role in digestion. Stomach acid (HCl) does too. I know it is also helpful. I do not know if I need it though, and whether which one is better. I heard of a baking soda stomach acid test, but idk how I feel about doing that. But I've also heard that if you take betaine HCl and you experience burning, then you don't need it. If you don't experience burning, then you need it.
I can look for a supplement that combines both HCl and enzymes to get the benefits from both. I'll do my research. I know I can benefit from enzymes for sure because they help with fat absorption and I have issues with that. HCl is good for protein breakdown.
I'm getting a new toothpaste that contains nano-hydroxyapatite. I'm looking forward to using it in conjunction to my regular fluoride toothpaste. You can absorb fluoride through your toothpaste without swallowing it by sublingual absorption. I wonder if the same can happen with the minerals in the nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste. I'll try it out.
Again I'm not sure why I have low phosphorus levels. Phosphorus tends to be rich in foods rich in protein and fats. So again, enzymes can help here and so can HCl potentially.
I'm sure the liver support supplement can help because the liver is also a digestive organ and can help with the digestion process along with enzymes and HCl.

10 Amazing Home Remedies for Acne and Pimples
Acne or pimples are one of the most common skin conditions that occurs when hair follicles are clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Each hair follicle is connected to a sebaceous gland (oil glands), which produces an oily substance called sebum. Sebum can plug up hair follicles, causing the growth of a bacteria known as Propionibacterium acnes, which is normally present on the skin.
Acne can cause painful and generally occur on areas of the skin with a relatively high number of oil glands, including face, neck, back, shoulders, upper part of the chest and even arms.
If left untreated, acne can lead to long-term hyperpigmentation or scarring. There are many products on the market to treat acne but they can take time.
Here are 10 amazing home remedies for acne and pimples that you might want to try.
1. Apple Cider Vinegar Apple cider vinegar contains several organic acids that have been shown to fight many types of bacteria and viruses. Apple cider vinegar can help to dry up the excess oil, reduces red marks and suppress inflammation.
Mix 1 part apple cider vinegar to 3 parts water and apply on the affected skin area with a cotton ball. Leave it on for a few minutes and rinsing with cool water. Repeat this process a few times daily.
2. Honey Honey has antibiotic properties, which help to improve acne. Apply 1 teaspoon of honey on the affected skin areas and leaving it on for 30 minutes.
3. Tea Tree Oil Tea tree oil has the ability to fight bacteria and reduce skin inflammation. Mix 1 part tea tree oil to 9 parts water and apply on the affected skin area with a cotton swab.
4. Ice Ice can reduce swelling, inflammation and redness of acne. Wrapping an ice cube in a paper towel and apply on the acne for a few seconds.
5. Toothpaste Toothpaste has antibacterial properties, which play a vital role in eliminating the bacteria that cause acne. Apply a layer of white toothpaste on the acne and leave it on overnight.
6. Baking Soda Baking soda dries out the acne and also exfoliate the skin to remove excess oil. Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with a few drops of water to form a paste. Apply the paste on the acne and let it to dry for a few minutes, then rinsing with warm water. Do this a few times a day.
7. Witch Hazel Witch hazel has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Applying witch hazel to the skin can reduce inflammation and fight bacteria.
Soak 1 tablespoon witch hazel bark and 1 cup water for 30 minutes, then boil the mixture for 10 minutes and let it cool. Apply the mixture on the affected skin area with a cotton ball 1 to 2 times per day.
8. Green Tea Flavonoids and tannins in green tea are known to fight inflammation and kill bacteria. Steep green tea in boiling water for about 3 to 4 minutes and let it cool. Apply the tea on the acne with a cotton ball. Leave it on for a few minutes, then rinsing with cool water and pat dry.
9. Aloe Vera The anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties in aloe vera can help to reduce redness and skin irritation. Apply a layer of aloe vera gel on the affected skin area and leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes.
10. Aspirin Aspirin can dry up acne and reduce the swelling due to accumulated pus. Form a paste by crushing the aspirin tablet and mix with a few drops of water. Apply the paste on the acne and let it dry.
Final Thoughts These home remedies may not work for everyone, but they just might be worth a try.
After you have gotten rid of acne, it’s important to make changes in your skin care routine to prevent breakouts from returning.

This plays in to the post I shared the other day about women being scared of aging. There’s nothing wrong with taking care of yourself and your body. We should all do that. But you can just eat a healthy diet, stay hydrated, and do some general exercise. All these hundreds of products that promise to make you glow or shine or have a dewy complexion or no wrinkles or whatever are just BS. Your body is going to age no matter what you do. It will sag, it will wrinkle, it will grow soft in some places and inexplicably hard in others. Your skin will thin and your eyes will grow lines around them. It happens. Again, a healthy diet and staying hydrated and active will do more for your skin and joints than any product you can slather on your body.
I won’t lie, I have stood in the beauty section many times, looking over hair masks and skin serums and face lifts in a bottle and debated trying it “just this once, to see…..” But I stop myself. Because that’s a path I don’t want to go down. Because there will always be one more new “secret product that will fix EVERYTHING”………until it doesn’t. At which point there will be three more miracle products to replace that one. And when those don’t work, don’t worry, now there’s an entire skin care SYSTEM that is 12 steps and only available through a membership subscription that will try to sell you add-ons even though they insist the 12-step skincare routine is all you need. But trust them, it will be the last thing you ever need to buy to be beautiful…….until it’s not.
Obviously if you take vitamins for a deficiency or at a doctors orders, carry on. But having worked in the medical field, I can tell you that the vast majority of people are taking supplements they don’t need, aren’t absorbing, and are pissing hundreds of dollars worth of nutrients right down the toilet as they pass straight through their body without being absorbed. A multi-vitamin will not preserve your youth and beauty, I do not care how many adaptogens and collagens and biotin’s they cram in there. YOU WILL AGE.
And that’s FINE. It’s what we’re supposed to do, it’s what people have been scrambling to achieve since the dawn of humanity: just trying to live a little bit longer. Our cave-dwelling ancestors would be amazed that we live long enough to have wrinkles. They’d be baffled as to why we would try to cover up such an obvious source of pride and accomplishment. “You mean you DIDN’T die from an infected cut at the age of 12? Get eaten by a tiger at 17??? Are you a GODDESS that you have managed to live to the gloriously unthinkable age of 40??”
And look…..pampering can be fun. It’s especially fun when it’s a treat, and not a three-hour obligation every single day. But also, all these skin/hair masks, body scrubs and polishes, creams and salves and blah blah blah? Ladies…..you can make that shit yourself at home for SO MUCH LESS and not overfill our landfills at the same time. I just made my own deodorant the other day because they want to charge me $15 for the unscented natural stuff I need to use. So I pulled out my Shea butter and coconut oil and arrowroot powder and baking soda and whipped that shit up myself for about $3 all said and done. I smell fucking FANTASTIC.
Hair mask? Oh man, just open the fridge, babes. Body scrub? Do you drink coffee? Have sugar on hand? There ya go. You’ll smell like Starbucks, it’s fucking GREAT. Got a little room to grow some plants? Grow calendula and make an oil from the flowers. That shit is gold. Seriously it looks like liquid gold and you can use it for so much. And you can grow calendula in a pot on a balcony with the right lighting.
The next time you’re debating dropping $40 on some random beauty product purporting to cure all your woes, stop and ask yourself:
- is this NECESSARY? As in, my body will shut down and die if I do not have this. Is it water? Is it oxygen? Is it food?
- is this something I could make myself at home to reduce waste, packaging, and overconsumption?
- is it really that important that I fulfill the societal standard for beauty that this product is making me strive for? Is it necessary that I have the smoothest shiniest hair? The plumpest fullest lips? The least amount of visible lines on my face?
- do I want to keep playing this game that has no end, no winners, and no point? This game that costs a fortune to play and the only outcome is that I will never feel fully comfortable with my naked face and natural body?
- do I want to keep lining the pockets of unethical billionaires making their fortune off the exploited labor of others and the insecurities of women like me?
Maybe your answer is “fuck you I want my serums and masks!!” That’s fine. But we do have a limited amount of resources and we are overfilling our planet with trash and we have a short amount of time on earth to enjoy ourselves and I really just wish women would be okay with their faces and bodies and aging so they could stop spending hours in front of a mirror picking and poking and plucking and microblading and needling and plumping and exfoliating and stone rolling and on and on and on, and just go outside and enjoy what our planet has to offer.
It’s not that far of a reach to understand that all this shit is pushed on to women because they know that if we’re so busy seeking the Fountain of Youth that it takes up all our time, then we won’t have the time to fight for the liberation of women.
I’m done with this shit. Me and my naked wrinkly face and saggy arms are going out into the world to fight for the liberation of all my sisters.
Will you join me?

How to Care for and Maintain Your Silver Bangles: A Guide for Women
Silver bangles are a timeless fashion accessory that adds elegance and charm to any outfit. Whether you're dressing up for a special occasion or adding a touch of sparkle to your everyday wear, silver bangles for women are a versatile piece that never goes out of style. However, to keep them looking their best, it’s important to know how to care for and maintain them. In this guide, we'll explore some essential tips to ensure your silver bangles remain as stunning as the day you bought them.
1. Understanding Tarnish and Its Causes
Silver is a beautiful metal, but it is prone to tarnishing. Tarnish occurs when silver reacts with sulfur-containing substances in the air or with moisture, causing it to darken and lose its shine. Understanding this natural process is the first step in caring for your silver bangles.
2. Daily Care Tips
Wipe After Wearing: After wearing your silver bangles, gently wipe them with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any oils, sweat, or dirt that may have accumulated. This simple step can help prevent tarnish from building up over time.
Avoid Contact with Harsh Chemicals: Silver is sensitive to chemicals found in household cleaning products, perfumes, and even some lotions. When getting ready, make sure to put on your silver bangles last, after applying any beauty products, to minimize exposure to these substances.
Store Properly: When not in use, store your silver bangles in a cool, dry place. Consider using a jewelry box lined with soft fabric or anti-tarnish strips. Storing each bangle separately can prevent scratches and minimize tarnishing.
3. Regular Cleaning
Even with careful handling, silver bangles will need regular cleaning to maintain their shine. Here’s how to do it:
Mild Soap and Water: For regular cleaning, mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water. Soak your silver bangles for a few minutes, then gently scrub them with a soft brush, such as a toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
Polishing Cloth: A silver polishing cloth is an excellent investment. These clothes are treated with chemicals designed to remove tarnish without scratching the surface. Simply rub the bangle gently in one direction until it shines.
Baking Soda and Water Paste: For more stubborn tarnish, create a paste using baking soda and water. Apply the paste to the silver bangle and gently rub with a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
4. Professional Cleaning
If your silver bangles for women have intricate designs or are heavily tarnished, consider professional cleaning. Jewelers have the tools and expertise to clean silver jewelry safely, restoring it to its original luster.
5. Long-Term Maintenance Tips
Wear Your Bangles Often: Believe it or not, wearing your silver bangles regularly can actually help prevent tarnish. The natural oils from your skin create a protective layer over the silver, slowing down the tarnishing process.
Rotate Your Jewelry: To minimize wear and tear, rotate between different silver bangles and other jewelry pieces. This helps keep each piece in better condition for longer.
Inspect Regularly: Periodically inspect your silver bangles for any signs of damage, such as loose stones or worn clasps. Addressing these issues early can prevent further damage and extend the life of your jewelry.
Conclusion
Silver bangles for women are a beautiful and versatile accessory that, with proper care, can last a lifetime. By following these simple tips for daily care, regular cleaning, and long-term maintenance, you can keep your silver bangles shining brightly for years to come. Whether you’re wearing them daily or saving them for special occasions, well-maintained silver bangles will always be a cherished part of your jewelry collection.

Deodorant Hacks for Women: Tips for Longer Lasting Protection and Freshness
When it comes to staying fresh and confident throughout the day, a good deodorant is essential. But let's face it - even the best deodorants can start to wear off after a few hours, leaving you feeling sweaty and self-conscious.
That's where deodorant hacks come in! In this article, we will share our top tips for getting the most out of your deodorant and keeping you feeling fresh and protected all day long.
Deodorant Hacks for Women: The Secret to a Fresh and Fabulous Day
Hack #1: Apply it Right
Before we dive into the nitty-gritty of deodorant hacks, it's essential to start with the basics. When applying your deodorant, make sure to:
Apply it after showering or bathing, when your skin is clean and dry
Use a light, gentle touch to avoid irritating your skin
Focus on the areas that tend to sweat the most, such as your underarms and groin
Avoid applying too much pressure, which can cause the deodorant to spread unevenly and reduce its effectiveness
Hack #2: Reapply Strategically
While it's tempting to reapply your deodorant as soon as you start to feel sweaty, this can actually do more harm than good. Instead, try reapplying your deodorant:
After exercising or engaging in physical activity
After being in a hot or humid environment
When you're feeling particularly stressed or anxious
By reapplying your deodorant at these times, you'll be able to maintain a layer of protection against sweat and odor without overdoing it.
Get the power of natural protection and freshness all day long with Bira Fragrances' deodorants today!
Hack #3: Use a Deodorant Booster
If you are looking for an extra boost of protection, consider using a deodorant booster.
These are usually small packets of powder or spray that you can apply throughout the day to extend the life of your deodorant.
Look for products containing ingredients like baking soda or kaolin clay, which help absorb moisture and neutralize odor.
Hack #4: Choose the Right Deodorant
Not all deodorants are created equal! If you're looking for a deodorant that will last all day long, choose one that's specifically designed for heavy-duty use. Look for products containing ingredients like:
Aluminum salts, which help reduce sweat and odor
Tea tree oil, which has natural antibacterial properties
Coconut oil, which helps moisturize and soothe the skin
Hack #5: Stay Hydrated
Believe it or not, staying hydrated is key to reducing sweat and body odor.
When you're well-hydrated, your body is better able to regulate its temperature and reduce sweating.
Aim for at least eight glasses of water per day, and make sure to drink plenty of water before and during physical activity.

Red Spots on Roof of Mouth: Causes and Treatment - Surya Dental
Red spots on the roof of the mouth can be alarming but are often harmless and resolve independently. Since the palate is a sensitive area, these spots can sometimes lead to inflammation. This blog post will explain the potential causes, treatment options, and preventive measures for red spots on the roof of the mouth.
Causes of Red Spots on the Roof of the Mouth
Erythroplakia
Erythroplakia presents as red, velvety patches on the roof of the mouth or other parts of the oral cavity. These patches, which can be smooth or slightly raised, are typically painless. Erythroplakia is a precancerous condition and should be evaluated by a healthcare provider as it can precede oral cancer.
Canker Sores
Also known as aphthous ulcers, canker sores are small, painful lesions that can develop on the roof of the mouth. They are not contagious and are often triggered by stress, hormonal changes, or minor mouth injuries.
Oral Herpes
Caused by the herpes simplex virus, oral herpes can lead to small, painful red blisters on the roof of the mouth, as well as on other areas of the mouth and lips. These blisters may be accompanied by fever and flu-like symptoms.
Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease
This viral infection can cause a red, spotty rash on the roof of the mouth, as well as on the hands and feet. It is most common in young children but can also affect adults.
Mouth Ulcers
Mouth ulcers, or stomatitis, are general sores or inflammation in the mouth that can appear as red, painful spots on the roof of the mouth. Causes include trauma, infections, or underlying medical conditions.
Oral Thrush
A fungal infection, oral thrush can cause red, painful spots on the roof of the mouth. It is more common in individuals with weakened immune systems, such as those with HIV/AIDS or cancer.
Physical Injury
Biting the roof of the mouth or burning it with hot food or drink can cause localized red spots that typically heal within a few days.
Strep Throat Infection
In some cases, strep throat can cause a red, "strawberry" appearance on the roof of the mouth, along with symptoms like a sore throat, fever, and swollen lymph nodes.
Home Remedies for Red Spots on the Roof of the Mouth
While some causes of red spots are unavoidable, the following steps can help reduce the risk:
1. Practice Good Oral Hygiene
Maintain a healthy mouth by brushing and flossing regularly to prevent bacterial buildup.
2. Avoid Irritants
Avoid overly hot or spicy foods and acidic beverages that can damage the palate's delicate skin.
3. Manage Underlying Health Conditions
Work with your healthcare provider to control conditions affecting your immune system or oral health.
4. Home Remedies
- Salt Water Rinse
- Honey
- Baking Soda Paste
- Chamomile Tea
- Cold Compress
- Aloe Vera Gel
Diagnosis and Treatment
If you notice red spots or other discoloration on the roof of your mouth, schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider or dentist. They will perform a physical examination and may order additional tests, such as a biopsy, to determine the underlying cause.
Treatment will vary depending on the specific condition causing the red spots. Canker sores and mouth ulcers may be treated with over-the-counter or prescription pain medication, while oral herpes or oral thrush may require antiviral or antifungal medications. The affected area may need to be closely monitored or removed for erythroplakia or other precancerous conditions.
Takeaway
Red spots on the palate can affect both children under 5 and adults. While over-the-counter medications often relieve pain and irritation, it’s important to consult a dentist if symptoms persist for more than a week. With appropriate care, most cases of red spots on the roof of the mouth can be effectively managed.

YOUR FACE
Before you proceed, it is important that you start taking care of your skin to prevent all the dark spots caused by acne. I’ll be writing a complete guide on how to cure acne. When I do I’ll update this post with a link to that post.First, retrieve the cleanser from the ‘Acne Free Kit’. Squeeze some into your hand then add a pinch of baking soda. Wet your other hand then rub the mix together with both hands. Go ahead & start gently scrubbing your face all over in a circular motion. Rinse your face with luke warm water. Dry your face. Then apply your Tretinoin Gel all over your face neck and ears, rub it in well until it absorbs. Now apply your skin bleaching cream. Do this treatment twice a day, minus the baking soda & Tretinoin Gel. Scrub with the backing soda once a day and follow the directions that come with the Tretinoin gel on frequency of use.
After 5 days, start applying your scar bleach cream ONLY to your dark spots scars & blemishes. Use your brush, dip it into the skin bleaching cream, then paint it on to your dark spots or scratches, avoiding the surrounding normal skin. For tiny dark spots or hairline scratches/scars, use a toothpick to apply your bleaching cream to those. You can even sharpen the toothpick tip down to a very tiny thin point, a razor blade works best for this. Do this treatment 2-3 times a day until your blemishes/scars/dark spots/scratches have faded and the area is now the same skin tone as the surrounding normal skin.

10. Avoid Scratching
While using a hair color allergy home remedy, try not to scratch the affected area, even though it may be highly tempting to do so because doing so could make the irritation worse and even cause an infection. Use an over-the-counter anti-itch cream containing hydrocortisone if the itching is really bad.
11. Consult a Dermatologist
You must get professional medical help if your symptoms of hair dye allergy worsen or persist. A dermatologist can offer an improved diagnosis as well as suggest suitable therapies or medicinal products.
12. Choose Safer Hair Dye Options
Consider switching to hypoallergenic or natural hair dye brands, which are less likely to cause allergies, if you frequently suffer from allergic reactions to hair color. For recommendations, speak with a dermatologist or hair care specialist.
13. Patch Test for Allergies
Conducting a patch test must be done before utilizing any novel hair coloring product. Apply a tiny bit of the dye to a separate spot on your body, such as the back of your ear or the inside of your elbow.
After leaving it on for 24 to 48 hours, keep an eye out for any swelling, redness, or itching that could indicate an allergic reaction. Do not use that specific hair color during this period if you encounter any negative reactions.
14. Choose for Semi-Permanent Dyes
Semi-permanent hair dyes are a better option for people who are allergic to permanent hair dyes because they usually contain less harsh chemicals.
You can change the color of your hair without having to worry about serious allergies due to these dyes, which fade gradually over time and are less likely to cause negative reactions.
15. Natural Alternatives
Think about applying henna or herbal hair color as natural substitutes for chemical hair dyes. Because they are free of many of the chemicals found in store-bought dyes, these alternatives are less likely to trigger allergic reactions.
A patch test must still be done before use; yet, a few people may also be allergic to natural ingredients of home remedy for henna allergy.
16. Ask Professional Advice
See a dermatologist or professional hair colorist if you are not sure which hair dye products are safe for you or if you have had severe allergies in the past. To guarantee your safety, they may carry out a patch test in a controlled setting and suggest the best dye options or allergy-free hair dye for your particular requirements.

Antihistamine for hair dye allergy
Antihistamines can help reduce symptoms like itching, redness, and swelling if you have an allergic reaction to hair dye. Histamines are substances released during an allergic reaction, and antihistamines function by preventing them from doing so.
Antihistamines can help with mild reactions, but it is necessary to speak with a doctor to manage hair dye allergies properly and to make sure the antihistamine of choice is safe and effective.
How long does allergic reaction to hair dye last?
Depending on the seriousness of the reaction, an allergic reaction to hair dye can last a range of time in different people. Mild allergic reactions, like redness or itching, usually remain for a few days to a week following the application of hair dye.
These minor symptoms might occasionally go away on their own without the need for any special care as well along with home remedies for hair dye allergy.
More serious allergic reactions, on the other hand, can last longer and be considered for medical attention.
These reactions can include hives, swelling, blisters, or difficulty breathing. In these situations, the symptoms may last for a few days or weeks, making it important to get medical attention right away.
As directed by a medical professional, you can use topical creams or over-the-counter antihistamines to reduce the extent and lengthen the duration of an allergic reaction to hair dye.
If you suffer from a severe allergic reaction, you should get medical attention as soon as possible. Prescription medicine such as corticosteroids or epinephrine may be necessary for treatment.
Never forget that, to reduce the possibility of allergic reactions, a small area test must be done before using any hair coloring product.
To lessen the possibility of further allergic reactions, if you have a history of hair dye allergies, think about using hypoallergenic or natural dye substitutes along with hair dye allergy treatment at home.

Read the article now: 10 Tips For Healthy Winter Skin
The weather outside may be unsightly, but your skin doesn’t have to be. For many of us, the cold clear days of winter bring more than just a rosy glow to the cheeks.
The problem is worse than just a general tight, dry feeling. The skin gets so dry it results in flaking, cracking, and even eczema (in which the skin becomes inflamed). Sounds familiar? Read on to get our top 10 tips for boosting your winter skin care regimen so that your skin stays moist and healthy through winter.
Moisturise More
You may have found a moisturiser that works fine in spring and summer. But as weather conditions change, so should your skincare routine. Find an “ointment” moisturiser that’s oil-based rather than water-based, as the oil will create a protective layer on the skin that retains more moisture than a cream or lotion. (Hint: Many lotions labelled “night creams” are oil-based).
2. Sunscreen
No, sunscreen isn’t just for summertime. Winter sun combined with snow glare can still damage your skin. Try applying a broad spectrum of sunscreen to your face and hands (if exposed) for about 30 minutes before going outside. Reapply frequently if you stay out for a long time.
3. Hands
The skin on your hands is thinner than on most body parts and has fewer oil glands. Keeping your hands moist is more complex, especially in cold, dry weather. This can lead to itchiness and cracking. Wear gloves when you go outside; if you need wool to keep your hands warm, slip on a thin cotton glove first to avoid any irritation the thread might cause.
4. Wet Gloves & Socks
Wet socks and gloves can irritate your skin and cause itching, cracking sores, or even a flare-up of eczema.
5. Humidifier
Central heating systems (as well as space heaters) blast hot, dry air throughout our homes and offices. Humidifiers get more moisture in the air, which helps prevent your skin from drying out. Place several small humidifiers throughout your home; they help disperse the water evenly.
6. Hydrate
Drinking water helps your skin to stay hydrated. Also, water is good for your overall health. We might not feel thirsty in the winter, but we must remember to drink water regularly. It is advisable to drink 10-12 glasses of water every day.
7. Moisture
Those minty foot lotions are lovely in the hot summer months, but your feet need more potent stuff during the winter. Try finding creams that contain petroleum jelly or glycerine instead. And use exfoliants to get the dead skin off periodically; that helps any moisturiser you use sink in faster and more profoundly.
8. Peels
If your facial skin is uncomfortably dry, avoid using harsh peels, masks, and alcohol-based toners or astringents, all of which can strip vital oil from your skin. Instead, find a cleansing milk or mild foaming cleanser, a toner with no alcohol, and masks that are “deeply hydrating,” rather than clay-based, which tends to draw moisture out of the face. And use them a little less often.
9. Superhot Baths
Sure, soaking in a burning-hot bath feels great after frolicking out in the cold. But the intense heat of a hot shower or bath breaks down the lipid barriers in the skin, which can lead to moisture loss. A lukewarm bath with oatmeal or baking soda can help relieve skin that is so dry it has become itchy. If those techniques don’t work, you should see a dermatologist.
10. Specialists
If you go to your local drugstore, you’ll be hard to find a salesperson who can give you good advice. That’s why going to an esthetician or dermatologist even once is a good investment. Such a specialist can analyse your skin type, troubleshoot your current skincare regimen, and advise you on the skincare products you should use.
