Sweet idea: Because of her closer connection with animals, Sofia stopped eating meat. She'd push it to the other side of her plate, only eating the veggies and non-meat parts of her meal. Some people thought she was just being fussy. But Baileywick made sure her needs were met. He had her meat be replaced with another form of protein, like different beans and vegetables, he also told her it was no issue. He just wanted her to be taken care of, not leaving half of her meal uneaten and staying half full.
#Baileywick's just so sweet#He'd probably scold people for saying she was just fussy#And he'd make sure non of her food touched meat even though she doesn't mind that#This is probably before her amulet's powers were revealed#sofia the first#sofia the fandom#stf#princess sofia#sofia balthazar#baileywick sofia the first#Baileywick

Holiday in Enchancia is one of those episodes I've only seen a few times. I just watched it, and I love it.
It has a classic family holiday feeling to it.
I love the songs!
I love the family's holiday clothes.
It was so sweet of Sofia to give everyone a gift, even Minimus. But I do wonder how she isn't cold in just a shawl. She must be resistant to cold weather.
"Where's your holiday spirit, Baileywick?" "Back at the castle." LOL! Are you saying you can only be happy on the holidays at the castle?
Aurora appears. I actually like her appearance. She gave Sofia some very important advice that she would need later. If you really pay attention to what she said,it would make sense. Basically, I think she was saying. *You can always count on your friends to help you when you need it.*
The ending was so precious!
There's nothing I don't like, but I do wish they'd included that scene where Sofia saw Cedric in his underwear when she gave him a gift. My guess is they dropped it for time. It couldn't have been inappropriate because we later see Cedric make Roland's clothes disappear. LOL!
Beautiful episode!

The Fairy and the Sorcerer (Cedric x reader)
Cedric doesn’t know how to love and be loved feels like, he never really cared to have someone special in his life, until he met a curious fairy that would change that...
This is based on the song “La Leyenda del Hada y el Mago” by Rata Blanca.
Words: 2090
Warnings: a little bit of angst, nothing to sad tho
(This is my first time writting Cedric, I hope you liked it!)
_______________________________________________________________
"Have you ever had a girlfriend mr. Cedric?" The young princess asked out of nowhere. Her eyes opened widely in curiosity.
The sorcerer almost choked with his own saliva "I-" he thought it a bit "I believe that's none of your business, princess" he looked away, trying to avoid her stare.
"Is that a no?" Sofia chuckled silently. Cedric had no other choice than to admit it "Actually… yes, I haven't" he sighed looking down.
"Have you ever been in love?" The child asked again, full of curiosity.
"Yeah once, but she turned out to be a crazy fairy" he rolled his eyes remembering that pitiful day.
"Oh" she simply said "Mr. Cedric do you think-"
He cutted her off, getting up from his seat "I believe that's enough questions for today, Sofia" Cedric tried his best to not sound harsh, but he couldn't hide it. Talking about his love life always kind of bothers him. The fact that everyone saw him as little more than useless and that he decided to focus on different ways to prove himself didn't help him at all. Let's just say he's not the luckiest guy.
Cedric was convinced that he was meant to be a loner for the rest of his life, he thought no one could ever be capable to see the hopeless romantic he is deep down, he hasn't even had a chance to show it.
He doesn't know what to love and be loved back feels like.
Until that day…
Sofia took him on a tour to the Mystic Isles, she knew how much he desired to go there and, well, she just wanted to make her favourite sorcerer happy. Meanwhile, Cedric couldn't stop fanboying around, taking notes of everything new he found, just thinking about how lucky he is to be the first sorcerer to actually go to the Isles.
Then, they arrived to the Fairy Isle, there was nothing too interesting for him, but he still looked around in curiosity, Sofia had to go with Chrysta for "Protector stuff" so he had time to go around himself.
The sorcerer went into the forest with the only purpose to watch the flora of the place, that's when a soft humming caught his attention.
You were near the river edge, combing your hair and humming a sweet song to yourself, looking at your reflection on the water. Completely ignoring the fact that you were being watched by a curious sorcerer hiding poorly behind a tree.
He stared at you for a while, not knowing if he should approach you or just leave you alone. That's when you turned around and crossed glances with him, you jumped a little because you weren't expecting to be watched.
Cedric noticed this and immediately apologized "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I shall leave now" he was about to turn around, but your curiosity spoke for you "No! Wait!" He looked at you again "Who are you? I haven't seen you around" you flew towards and landed right before him, you studied his features and noticed he didn't have any wings "You are not a fairy?"
Your curiosity kind of captivated him "No, I'm a sorcerer, Cedric the great, a pleasure" he bowed a little, that made you chuckle "And you are…?"
"You really are a sorcerer?!" You asked in awe "I've never thought I would meet one in my life. I'm Y/n, just a… fairy" you mimicked his bow.
"Well, I never thought I would be up here in the Mystic Isles" he said in a chuckle.
There was a silence. You were curious about him, you wanted to ask him all of your questions right away, but you didn't want to look like a freak, instead you decided to offer yourself to give him a tour around your island, and of course, Cedric accepted more than happy.
After that, you two became friends. He encouraged you to ask all the questions you had about the ever realm and he answered all of them gladly. Eventually, he warmed up and told you his story and you told him yours too. You discovered you two had a lot in common, more than you were expecting to, but most of all, you could see the great man he actually is.
Cedric would never miss an opportunity to go up there with Sofia just to see you. He didn't care if it was only for a short moment or a long walk in the woods, the sorcerer was more than happy to spend some time with you. He was falling for you, but he didn't want to admit it, he was convinced that a beautiful and lovely fairy like you was out of his league.
You became the second true friend he ever had, and he didn't want to lose you, that's why he decided to keep those feelings locked deep down.
One time, you decided to go to the ever realm to visit your favourite sorcerer, which gladly surprised him. Like you did with him some time ago, he showed you the kingdom, the palace and of course his workshop, where he made a quick demonstration of his magic. Even tho he was pretty nervous and afraid he would mess it all up, it went good, you liked it and that was all that mattered to him.
"Now I see why they call you Cedric the great" you mimicked his voice tone, but in a friendly way "you are truly great"
For a moment he stood there, frozen, he still didn't know what to do when someone actually compliments him "I know, it was time someone finally noticed, don't you think?"
"You know, I think I like it better here than the isles" you approached him. You felt like that was a good chance to tell him how you felt, but you didn't know how to.
He didn't believe what he heard and looked surprised at you "What? Why?"
You took a step closer, making him confused "Because you are here" you smiled, and took his hand, your heart was racing and you were scared because of his answer, but there was no going back.
By this time Cedric's mind was a mess, but that gave him a little hope. He was about to ask you something, but Baileywick entered without even knocking, looking worried and scared "Cedric, the king needs you, It's an emergency"
Both of you looked at him "Really? Now? What happened?" He asked with an annoyed tone, still holding your hand.
"Grimtrix escaped" Cedric's expression changed immediately, he let go of your hand and almost ran to the door, you followed him, but he stopped you before you stepped out of the workshop "Stay here" he commanded you and closed the door right before you. Of course you couldn't stay calm after that, you didn't know who this Grimtrix guy was but it sounded like someone dangerous and of course you didn't want Cedric to get hurt, so you got out of there flying through the window, looking for the man you secretly loved.
When you arrived to what looked like the throne room, there was a tall man with a large scepter having a magical fight with Cedric and the young princess. You hide behind a column, thinking in a way to help them, when the evil sorcerer cast a spell on Cedric's wand, making it useless.
Grimtrix, seeing Cedric was now vulnerable and incapable of counter, cast another spell, one you could recognize. It was a sleeping spell.
You didn't think it twice, you let your feelings control you, you flew as fast as you could to try to eradicate the spell, but something went wrong and the spell hit you instead.
Your body lose it's strength, your eyes closed slowly as you fell on the floor, the last thing you saw before closing them for what it could be forever was Cedric holding you and crying out your name.
After that, Grimtrix was defeated, but you still didn't wake up and Cedric was devastated by that. You, the most beautiful being his eyes had ever seen, his dear friend, the only one that accepted him knowing his past, his one and only true love, gave her own life to save his. And he didn't even tell her how much he loved her.
The simple fact of thinking that he lost you forever destroyed him.
But he knew you were alive, you just were immersed in an endless dream and Cedric decided he must find a way to wake you up. He locked himself up in his tower, spent whole days and nights looking and trying different spells on you hoping one of those would wake you. He barely slept and only ate when Sofia brought some food to him. He was desperate to wake you up and didn't care about anything else, not even himself.
The little princess took a closer look to your sleeping face "Do you love her, mr. Cedric?"
The sorcerer was focused on studying a spell, but he was also pretty much tired to lie "Yes Sofia, I love her" he answered without even looking at her "And I couldn't tell her, and still, she took the spell for me" he got up and approached you, he admired your face for a while and caressed your cheek gently "I wish I had told her" a single tear ran down his cheek.
Sofia never thought to see Cedric like that, he always seemed cold and distant with others and now he was completely devastated. She wanted to give him a happy ending too, but as much as she thought nothing came to her innocent mind.
Unless…
"Have you tried true love's kiss?" That question brought Cedric back to reality, he blushed hard and wiped the single tear he shed.
Cedric denied "No, I didn't" a slight pinch of hope invaded his system, he was willing to try it, he really, really, wanted to kiss you, but he was afraid you couldn't love him back and he would feel dirty because he took advantage of the situation, so he shook that thought out of his head "I don't think it works, I don't know if my feelings are reciprocated"
Sofia almost glared at him "I believe she does, she took the spell for you after all, there's no greater proof of love than risking your life for the other" she smiled innocently, doing her best to encourage him.
Cedric thought of it, he knew true love can be strong, but sadly, he never felt it before. Actually he never felt the way he felt around you before "Alright, I'll try it" he sighed with a slight dust of pink on his cheeks, Sofia smiled and clapped happily, hoping this works.
The sorcerer leaned towards your immobile body, slowly approaching your lips, he could feel your slow but constant breathing, in addition to your natural essence that only made him want you more. He closed his eyes and brought his lips softly to yours, parting almost instantly.
He looked at you again, but your eyes remained closed, the kiss seemed to have no effect on you "It didn't work" he said pitying himself. Now he felt worse, he felt dirty, sad and had a broken heart "I'm sorry y/n" he leaned on the plate where your body rested "you better go, Sofia, I want to be alone"
The little princess's eyes moistened, she nodded silently and left, leaving her friend to sink into his own sadness.
Suddenly, your broken, sleepy voice echoed in the sorcerer's ears "Cedric ...?" His name was the first thing you managed to articulate when you finally opened your eyes.
He looked at you in awe "Y/n ?!" all that bitterness he carried disappeared, when he saw you rejoin, with your beautiful eyes open and that smile that melted his interior "You are awake!" You threw yourself into his arms and this time it was you who claimed his lips, making sure the kiss was much longer and sweeter.
He was the first one to part, although, he didn't want to "I thought I had lost you forever" he cupped your face as you leaned into his touch, caressing your cheekbones gently, just admiring how beautiful you were.
You simply chuckled, looking dearly into his dark orbs "No... you're going to need more than a spell to get rid of me"

WIP Ask Game!
Instructions in Bold
So...we’re just gonna collectively agree that @abeautifuldayfortea is a precious angel that we must protect.....right 😳?
Thank you for tagging me for this! You are so sweet :))) I hope you have a day as great as you 😩<3
I suppose since I have thirteen different works in my drafts it’s only fair that I leak a part of one lmao. The prompt was that you post seven or more sentences of your wip, so here’s a part of the Baileywick request i got from @cant-say-mah-name :) Hope you enjoy!:
“Picking up the mushroom and twirling it between his thumb and index finger, Baileywick thought back to the first time he started having feelings for you.
His first glance at you in the market square had him gazing in awe- that he can confess to. But beauty often hides the truth, so more time was needed to know if your beauty was deceiving.
And, as he soon found out, the women inside matched the beauty outside. To him, the longer you worked together the more your personality shone. And goodness was it bright.
Every little action you made was perfect in your own little way; even if you would claim otherwise. You constantly changed his perspective on the way he viewed life and he knew that, although you didn't conform to his way of living, he wanted to conform to yours. Even at the expense of his perfectionism.”
As with the tradition, I will tag a few spectacular writers to do this as well (if they want to!):
@lightofthemoonglow, @merlins-mushrooms, @livenerdyandprosper, @make-me-imagine, @bush-viper-cutie and anyone else who would like to participate ☺️!
#Tagged#wip#baileywick x reader#Thank you so much for tagging me!!!#you are so sweet I swearrr#Loving all the love being spread around#<3

Letters
The workshop was quiet today, which made for the perfect environment for brewing potions. Though Cedric found he cared far less for the silence than he may have in the past.
The sorcerer finished bottling the last of his tinctures. Screwing the cork on top, and lifting it up to admire the correct color pink it had turned. A shade identical to...Sofia's amulet...
He frowned, casting a longing glance towards his door. As if expecting the little princess to burst in any moment. Tittering happily away about something, or requesting his aid on a sorcery assignment from Royal Prep.
Unfortunately, it seemed those little visits had now become a thing of the past. For with the royal children having now started their secondary schooling, both Sofia and Amber had been shipped away to Ever Realm Academy. Where they were to remain until their education was complete.
Sofia had only been gone for a few weeks, and already the sorcerer could feel the loneliness seeping into his heart. He never realized just how much he'd come to expect her visits, until they had disappeared from his life entirely.
Still, it wasn't as bad as it was before. Now that he'd recovered his friendship with Roland, improved his relationship with his family, and earned the respect and admiration of the kingdom; Cedric no longer felt like an outcast in the castle, and he could more often be found these days socializing with his peers. As well as being requested to do important magical work for his king. So, for the most part he was content.
But oh! How he missed that sweet girl who had help make all of that possible in the first place...
He sighed, setting his brew down upon the table. Grateful to have done so as a knock sounded on his door. Startling him out of his musings.
As usual, the door opened unbidden, revealing Baileywick.
"Good afternoon Cedric," The steward greeted. In a tone that was genuinely sincere and not laced with shreds of sarcasm, as it sometimes had in the past. Yet another boon of Sofia's influence.
"Good afternoon," the sorcerer responded in kind. "What kind of magical assistance is the king in need of today?" Despite their improved relationship, Cedric knew the steward was not one to venture up to his tower only for a chat.
"Nothing at the moment," Baileywick said. "I was actually sent up here to deliver this letter to you." Retrieving the parchment from his coat and holding it out.
"Letter?" The sorcerer inquired, taking the envelope and examining the address. His eyes slowly widening in excitement as he realized who it was from.
"I'm a little surprised it took her so long," The steward noted quietly. Adjusting his glasses as he obseverved his colleague practically tear into the paper. Seeing he was preoccupied, Baileywick politely excused himself and left to attend to his other duties.
Cedric responded with a short wave and grunt of acknowledgement. His eyes still riveted to the sheet of paper within his hand, decorated with that familiar handwriting.
Dear Mr. Cedric,
Sorry it's taken so long to write to you. Adjusting to life at the academy took a little longer than I thought it would.
He smirked, recalling his own assimilation at Hexley Hall.
It's really amazing here! I was a little worried I wouldn't like it as much as Royal Prep. But it turns out they actually have a lot of the same classes here. Of course, with my Protector duties, I can't get too busy.
The man nodded in agreement. It would be unwise for her to take on so many electives.
But I did sign up for the advanced sorcery class.
Cedric blinked. They offered advanced sorcery at ERA? That was news to him. But then again, Roland had never been one for the magic lessons at Royal Prep. So it was unlikely he would have invested in any additional courses.
Still they probably weren't up to the level that Hexley Hall taught.
I've been enjoying it a lot, and practicing my spells always makes me think of you.
He smiled at that. The thought that he had been on her mind, just as she had been on his, warming his heart.
I hope you're doing well. I miss you. I'm so grateful we got to spend all that time together last summer.
He recalled that himself. The girl had made an effort to visit him at least once every day, (save during her family vacation) during that time, and even persuaded him to join her for a few picnics outside. Something he'd enjoyed quite a bit, though it did help to facilitate her sudden disappearance from his life being far more poignant.
Having Amber here is great though... always the inseparable sisters... and I've been making some new friends... Of course...
and I can't wait to show you all the spells I've learned when we come home for Wassailia.
His eyes lit up at that. He'd forgotten about the holiday visits home. No doubt she'd also probably be back for summer vacation. His mood brightening even more, as he considered that she wouldn't be completely physically absent from his life after all.
I hope things are still going well for you back at home. Remember when things get hard to use the sorcerer's secret.
He smiled at the little adage, studying the accompanying picture with it. A simple drawing of the two of them standing side by side, wands in hand, and her dressed in her apprentice robes.
It filled him with confidence, as if she were still right here beside him. Encouraging him like she always did. Though things had gotten easier for him, with people no longer making him nervous, or expecting the worse from him. He still cherished her unwavering support.
Love, Sofia
He read the text over a few more times. Wondering how much of it had been reiterated to other friends and family, and how much was personally aimed at him. Though he supposed it didn't matter too much. Even if she had told everyone else she missed and couldn't wait to see them again. The sorcerer knew that that didn't mean she was any less sincere when she said it to him.
Besides, their letters would become more personal with time as they exchanged them.
Speaking of which...
Folding the treasured parchment up, he stowed it away safely then reached across his desk for the necessary tools to begin writing his response to her. A task he tackled eagerly, telling her as much as he could of how things had been at the castle.
No, perhaps things would never be the same. But it seemed they'd be able make the best of this new situation after all.

General Thoughts on Forever Royal
It was so good! Everything I could have asked for, and even some things I didn’t know I needed, with a few things I didn’t think were ever going to happen at all thrown in just for good measure.
I don’t even know where to begin with this one, there was so much I want to talk about. So to start things off, my favorite background prince, The Prince in Brown, finally got a name!
Yes, he is Prince Mike. (Also I just noticed Miss Nettle in the background. I guess now that she’s a “good” fairy, she made her peace with Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather).
There were so many callbacks in this special! The rubies from Cedric’s Apprentice, the reprise of Royal Prep from Once Upon a Princess, Sofia and Amber landing on the pirate ship treehouse from Baileywick’s Day Off, and plenty more. Of course, the best one was the line “we’re sisters” coming back. I also like how they managed to get in all the main recurring characters, even if someone of them just had very quick cameos (most of the RPA students). And they even squeezed in one more new amulet power before the end.
We also got a lot of answers to questions fans have been wondering about for a long time, such as what happened to Sofia’s dad, and what Roland’s wish was (a little anticlimactic if you ask me), and we saw James and Amber’s mom! I 100% did not see Sofia getting sucked into the amulet coming, but it gave some insight into what it was like for Elena for all those years. And we got to see the first Storykeeper, although I don’t think anyone was curious about him, but again, it gave us some answers about the Secret Library and how it came to be.
I really liked Roland’s priority 1 being getting the kids safe and promising to fight Vor once they are, and Miranda being all “You are literal children” when Sofia, Amber, and James want to go back and fight. Then at the end after Sofia becomes a fully-fledged protector, Miranda asking just what a protector does, with the inflection that she knows she isn’t going to like the answer. And Tilly’s response of it being a huge honor while adding “and only occasionally life-threatening” under her breath.
There were also a lot of heartwarming moments involving the parents, like Miranda and Sofia going back to their old home at the beginning. And Roland mentioning holding Amber and James in his arms during the first song, then actually seeing that during the Secret Library’s flashback.
Speaking of, all the songs were amazing. I loved the way the first song built and built, and included everyone in the palace. The slow reprise of Royal Prep, as I already mentioned, was a sweet callback. Vor’s song is ridiculously catchy and I love the animation on her during it. So many good expressions! Plus it gave us more of Wormwood singing. For One and All, like the first song, built into something truly epic by the end, and Vor and Sofia’s confrontation song was so, so good, a truly fitting last song of the series.
I was kind of right and kind of wrong about Vor. As I predicted, she was just using Prisma to get the Wicked Nine (which turned out to be about getting her ring), but she didn’t technically betray her. She promised to make Prisma powerful, and she did, but by using her body. I wonder, though, whether Vor was completely in control, or if she just kind of melded with Prisma. Specifically, I’m wondering how much of Vor’s personality was from Vor, and how much was from Prisma. Because Prisma has always had a flair for the dramatic, so it wouldn’t be outside of the realm of possibility for the spirit of Vor to just be the evil and vengeful parts, and the rest to be Prisma. If that makes any sense.
Regardless of whether Prisma had any part of it, Vor was a great series-ending villain. I really had no idea how they would defeat her for good (though I still don’t quite get how Sofia’s love light got rid of her, spirit and all, but I guess we can chalk that partly up to Maruvian magic, which tends to do things that don’t really make sense, but are very powerful).
Craig promised us that Cedric would be a big part of the finale, and we were not disappointed. From making Sofia a tiara, spiffing up the decorations (you know he was just waiting for someone to say “magical” so he could do his thing), helping defend against the crystal army, being part of the charge to head back to fight Vor, and casting the final spell that saved Sofia, he was all over this special from beginning to end. And he finally was recognized as Cedric the Great by none other than the king himself. Giving Sofia back her amulet was the perfect cap to his character arc.
We got confirmation of what I’ve suspected, that Amber’s had to cover for Sofia going off on her protector mission, since she was the only one who knew about them and her amulet’s powers. I’m glad that both of those were finally revealed to everyone (but especially the parents), even if there wasn’t time to see the full implications of everyone knowing.
Okay, but that climax. Sofia getting sucked into the amulet, everyone thinking there’s a chance they’ll never get her back, and then all her friends and family rallying together, giving their energy to get her back. So powerful, and it hammers home how many lives Sofia has touched over the course of the series.
I had a few quibbles with this episode, but by the time I finished writing all this out, I’ve forgotten them. But I do really wish there had been a scene of Azurine and Prisma making up, especially since Prisma was so remorseful at the end. But other than that, this was a practically perfect way to end the series.

Stuff I Still Want From Sofia the First
King Magnus and Rudistan Episode: Rudistan is in a crisis since all of King Magnus’ staff have quit. Lesson about being a good boss, dangers of being impractical, not appreciating employees. Greylock and Slickwell redemption?
Overworking Episode: Sofia has princess duties, a call from the library, and a protector mission all on the same day. Lesson about having it all, but not all at once. Dangers of multitasking, overworking yourself.
They could also make some episodes from storybooks: Pearl the unicorn, Lucinda’s rabbit Hexie, Hildegard being turned into a mouse, Vivian’s house for Christmas (not Wassailia).
Just other questions I want answered, worked into other episodes or their own stand alones: -Birk Balthasar’s fate (pretty sure being a sailor he was lost at sea, but would like confirmation) -Roland’s first wife, the twin’s mother, and her fate (also think she’s dead, but need that confirmed. It doesn’t make sense that she and Birk are never mentioned. Modern families being what they are, pretending the bioparent never existed isn’t helpful to kids ((excepting if the parent was a deadbeat but Disney just likes to have them dead))) -Why Baileywick dislikes Cedric -How Goodwyn and Winifred got together -Cedric quits being Royal Sorcerer to become Headmaster of Hexley Hall (don’t stay in a toxic job) -Sofia decides to go to Hexley Hall to become a sorceress (I still feel this makes the most sense storywise given Sofia’s relationship with magic - I thought that her obvious third thing in the School Fair episode) -More amulet related bits. Again, it’s getting back to the show’s “roots” in a sense. The Amulet of Avalor is supposed to be so powerful but it’s not utilized enough. Pocahontas is due an episode, and I guess Moana now too (tho not necessary). -Ivy’s sister and her kingdom. -Maybe Sofia is called by the amulet to a problem when Tilly wore the amulet? Or called to a point in the future where we get a glimpse into Sofia’s own fate. Something sweet like she helps her own grandchild or step-niece. -Sofia revealing the amulet’s powers to her family either by telling them herself or having Cedric tell on her for her own safety (like about to run off on another dangerous mission). Maybe he even gets in trouble again for keeping the secret from her parents. -Sofia and Miranda’s life in Dunwiddie village. The pilot made it seem like after Roland and Miranda met he told her to go home and get her things cuz they were getting hitched immediately. -Cedric without his robe. (I’d also like a different outfit, but I dare not dream too big) -Desmond’s kingdom and which country it’s based on (holds true for other princes/princesses) -Magical rules (as it seems stf really skimps on this - ideally I’d want a Cedric spin-off that focuses more on the magic in the stf/eoa magic set in Cedric’s early teens/early evil days) -Cordelia’s kingdom and husband/Calista’s daddy (she doesn’t live in Enchancia but does live in a castle... so is she a royal sorceress somewhere else or independant?)

Is it bad that I'm genuinely interested in Sofia's first period? Poor Ceds is going to be going from conjuring sweets to potions that cure cramps and bloating. He'd be a flustered mess. And I vet Baileywick would probably just sit back and laugh while Ceds is running around trying make her feel comfortable. Oh yeah, I've pondered the teenage years. Ghost-Eyes
Ahhh, the teen years really is an interesting time! I'm sure after Baileywick has his little laughing fit, he'll help Ceddy out with Sofia and the twins. Wicky basically helped raise them, so he knows a lot. Cedric would know a little bit, too, seeing his sister grow up, and it would be a great learning experience for all involved. Amidst the tears and the teenage grouchiness, Sofia would still look up to Cedric as her trusted friend and teacher!

Magic
Fandom: Sofia The First Characters: Cedric, Sofia, others mentioned Relationship: Cedric/reader Request: Sofia the First request Reader is an elf who has grown up with Roland and Cedric. When she developed her magical ability she was forced to leave and learn with her own people. Years later she returns as a teacher for the princes and princesses. She can tame and speak to animals. Upon returning she is greeted warmly by the royal family but Cedric is cold to her when he finds out she is back. No matter what she does Cedric refuses to speak to her. When Sofia finds out that not only is our reader in love with Cedric but Cedric is very much in love in the reader as well. So Sofia comes up with a plan to bring them together. Her and the others decorate Cedric's tower with roses and other flowers, and get Baileywick to bring some champagne as well. Sofia gets Wormwood to even help and lure the reader to the tower. This would lead into a NSFW scene eventually. Cedric would walk into his tower to find everything and would follow rose petals to him bathroom where he would find a very unclothed reader in the large bathtub, hidden with lots of bubbles. I would leave the rest up to you but I can see them both in the tub and it leading to a very sweet and loving scene in the bedroom ;) then at the end Sofia would see the two of them holding hands in the hallway before giggling as the kiss :) Walking through the large hallways, you tried and failed at holding your grin to yourself. The guards must have thought you were crazy but you didn’t care. You were too excited to see your old friends. You had grown up with Cedric and Roland, although you had to admit you were closer to Cedric than to the young prince. but as you grew older and your powers matured, you were forced to leave. The heads of a magic society for elves had come and told you when you were 11 years old that it was compulsory that you attend classes for your magic. The only thing was, those classes were far away from your home. You had cried over the decision for days, unable to believe you were being ripped from your home. Cedric had come to you other night before you left. “Don’t go!” He begged, the hurt in his eyes obvious. You were the only true friend he felt he had, the only one who never saw his mistakes and flaws. You had been the one to stop Roland being cruel to Cedric and many others in fact. You were both kneeling in front of each other in your bedroom. “I have to.” You sniffed, wiping your eyes with your sleeves. “Otherwise, they’ll banish me and I wont be allowed anywhere.” With that thought, fresh tears came on and you wrapped your arms around yourself. “But… isn’t there a way?” Cedric wrapped his arms around you. “No, they said everyone in an Elf family must go.” You hiccupped half way through but Cedric still understood you. “Well, you can come into my family!” Cedric blurted out, desperate to find any way to keep you. “And how would I do that?” you pulled back, not taking him seriously. “You could marry me. Then you would have my last name. And I would be the greatest sorcerer in the land so they wouldn’t dare take you from my side!” Cedric took your hands in his, gripping them. “Oh, Cedric.” You giggled despite the tears, but your smile soon faded. “Im going to miss you.” Cedric looked down at your hands and you had seen the tears in his eyes but what he did next surprised you. He leaned down and, at the same time, raised your hands. His lips touched the back of your right hand for a moment before hot tears slid down his nose and fell onto the back of your hand. That night, Cedric had said his goodbyes to you and you both knew it was best that way. Your farewell party was one person short but you understood. You would have had to be dragged by your ankles the next morning if Cedric had been there. As time had tolled on, you never forgot either Cedric or Roland but you couldn’t bring yourself to return. When you were finished with school, you were put straight into work and work for an elf was scarce and far between. You worked 2 jobs for pennies. The first as a trainer of animals and the second selling positions. That was until 2 weeks ago. You had received a letter and nearly fell out your seat when you saw Rolands name. He wrote about a ‘business proposal’, asking if you would like to come work for the king who just so happened to be Roland. He offered you double what both your jobs combined paid along with accommodation in the castle. How could you say no? You had heard through rumours that Cedric worked for Roland as well, as their fathers had. you were snapped from your thoughts by the guard turning to you sharply. “The royal family are in the main hall. They wish to meet you before you retire to your chambers for the night.” He told you, smiling kindly. “Yes, I would love to.” You returned the smile and continued to follow him. You only had a small bag with you as your other luggage had arrived a few days before you. You approached a large, grand door with beautiful woodcarvings around it and knew where you were. The guard opened the door first and stepped inside, holding it open for you. “Your majesties, Lady [f/n] [l/n].” He announced, rather grandly. You could get used to being introduced like that. But the second you stepped into the room, you were distracted. Roland sat on his throne, the same one his father had sat on when you were younger. He had grown up just as you had always thought he would. To one side were 3 people. One was a beautiful woman with chocolate brown hair and wearing a lavished pink dress. The other 2 were children who were obviously twins, a boy and a girl with blonde hair. The girl was scowling slightly, as if trying to decide whether she disliked you or she felt above you. She wore a dress similar to the woman except it was yellow. The boy had on a green jacket with a trousers that were a shade darker. But to Rolands other side was a girl. She looked the same age as the other 2 but she looked different. She had light brown hair and a small but sweet smile on her lips. Her eyes were kind and she wore a purple dress. She looked like the woman while the 2 other children looked like Roland. Roland rose from his throne and descended the couple of steps to meet you as you walked towards him. “Your majesty.” You smiled, curtsying and bowing your head out of respect. “Now, I’ll be having none of that from you, old friend.” He chuckled and as you straighten up, he wrapped his arms around you. You returned the hug, always dazed by the memorised that were flooding back to you. “let me introduce you to my family.” He said as you both pulled back. You glanced over his shoulder and were surprised to see all of the others had followed Roland. “This is my wife, Queen Miranda.” He gestured to the woman with the brown hair who was smiling. “We’ve heard so much about you.” She chuckled. “And these are my children, James and Amber and Mirandas daughter, Sofia.” Roland gestured to each child as he said their name. “nice to meet you.” You smiled, crouching down to their level. “My names [y/n]. I’ll be teaching you magic.” “We are so excited!” Sofia was nearing hopping from one foot to the other as James nodded. After a very warm welcome from the royal family, you were allowed to retire to your chambers for the night. You were shattered and couldn’t wait to get to bed, that was until you turned a corner and saw a man walking down the hallway towards you. He didn’t notice you as he seemed to be scowling at the floor as he walked. He was a little taller than you and wore a long, deep purple cloak with a dark yellow bow tie. His hair was black apart from the small area at the front of his head which was white. “Cedric?” Your voice said his name before you could stop yourself. As his name rolled off your tongue, the man jumped and looked up. His mouth dropped open slightly when he saw you. It was him! Your heart jumped into your throat as you both stared at each other. But then he seemed to realise something and suddenly turned away from you, storming down the hallway and away from you. You didn’t fully register what had happened but by the time he had turned the corner and vanished. Maybe he hadn’t recognised you? Or maybe it was just the shock of it all? You didn’t know. But what you did know was you were tired and Cedric would be about tomorrow. So you went to your room. ----------------timeskip------------------ Something was really wrong. Cedric hadn’t came anywhere near you. You saw him from a distance but never closer than 100 yards. Cedric, from what you found out from the children, was normal distance and rather resentful. you were curious. How had the sweet boy grown up into someone like this? It was nearly 4pm on a Friday, which meant the children were a little rowdier than normal. Your classes ran 11am-5pm on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays to allow them time for their other responsibilities. You had a room in the back of the castle. It’s a cosy room with a couple of rows of desks with your main desk sitting up front. “miss [l/n]?” Sofia asked, kneeling in her chair with her hand up. You were sitting at your desk, lazily marking some papers. But your mind was a hundred miles away. Well, a lot less. Only just down a few corridors. To cedric. “Yes?” You smiled at her but you had a feeling she wasn’t going to ask you about work. “father said you knew him when you were children!” James was bouncing on his seat and from the look in his, Sofia and Ambers eyes, they had been waiting to ask you questions on his for a while. “Yes, I was very close friends when we were young.” You nodded, getting up and walking around your desk to lean on the other side. “And you knew Mr Cedric?” Sofia asked. “Yes, we were very close.” You smiled, trying to hide the pain in your voice. “Really?” Sofia looked intrigued. “Yes, in fact, I remembered he once asked me to marry him.” You giggled fondly, looking down. “That doesn’t sound like him.” Amber raised an eyebrow. “he was very sweet when we were children.” You shrugged your shoulders but quickly realised you were thinking too much about this. “right, I think that’s enough for today.” You pushed yourself up off the desk and walked around, feeling a blush rising to your cheeks. You heard the three children gathering their things and the scrapping of chairs. you turned back to them and smiling, bidding the two twins goodbye. Sofia held back, her little mind working hard. “Is everything okay, sofia?” You asked, crouching down so you were the same height as her. “I was just wondering about you and Cedric.” She tilted her head to one side. “What do you mean?” You asked, “Well, hes been a lot sadder since you came. But you were close friends when you were younger.” It was more a statement than a question. “Some times people change, my dear.” You smiled sadly at her. “But you still like him?” She asked. “Of course.” Sofia watched you very casually. Despite her youth, she was intelligent and understood adults more than most. She saw the way you spoke about Cedric. She saw how happy you were when he came into the room and how sad you got when he avoided you. But, above all, she saw how Cedric looked at you when you weren’t looking. “Do you love him?” She suddenly asked, instantly noticing your widened eyes and sharp intake of breath. After a moment of debating in your mind, you knew she would have already worked out the answer. “very much.” You answered. Sofia looked past you and seemed to see something you couldn’t. She saw Cedric, standing outside the room, his eyes glued to your back and his mouth open. He took a deep breath and started to walk into the room when you stood up. “Sofia, its been a long time. Hes obviously change. And it doesn’t matter about my old feelings.” You said. Sofia saw the sorrow in your eyes but her attention was pulled to look behind you. She saw Cedric pause then turned and moved quickly out of sight. Sofias little mind was now going faster than a train as she quickly said ‘goodbye’ to you and ran out the room. She went in search of Clover who she found in her room. “We need to help them!” She vowed, her little mind conjuring up a plan. -----------timeskip ----------------- You were sitting in your chambers, a book out on your lap till you heard a tapping at your window. It made you jump as you sat up straight. It was late at night, close to 10.30 pm and you were in your nightwear. A long, beautiful silk nightgown. Pulling on a cardigan, you walked over to your window and pulled open the curtains. You were greeted by Woodworm the raven. You had seen him perched on Cedrics shoulder and, now that you thought about it, you don’t think you had ever seen the two apart. You pulled the window up and the raven flew into the room. He flew around in a circle a couple of times and then to the door, where he tapped his beak on the door a couple of times. Frowning, you walked over and opened the door for him. He flew out and hovered outside. Was he waiting for you? Curiously, you stepped outside and closed the door over. It was obvious he wanted you to follow him. You started to walk, following the raven as he lead you across the castle. You tried to remembered where you had come from but failed after the 8th or 9th turn. You didn’t stop until you came to the bottom of a set of stairs. But it wasn’t just a plain set of stairs. all up the steps was deep red petals. Your eyes widen as you looked up to the raven as he flew up to perch on a wooden beam. He didn’t seem to want to continue with you. You carefully started to climb the stairs, your eyes following the petals. Who had done this? It must have been specifically for you or why would Woodworm have come to you? Woodworm. Was it Cedric? Your heart started to beat hard as you came to a door. You pushed the door open to come into a chamber just like yours, at least in size. There was the same sized bed and a desk. But there was books that cluttered every flat surface and on the floor. There was a number of bottles, both filled and empty around. before you could fully decide whos room this was, you noticed the door to the bathroom was opened slightly and a light, warm glow came from inside. The petals lead into the room so you decided to follow it. Like your bathroom, there was a grand bath that was sunken into the floor so you had to climb down into it. The bath itself was deep enough to stand in and still be covered up to your shoulders, but there was a rim that ran around the edge of the tub for sitting. There was a number of candles that had been lit around the bath. The bath was drawn and filled with bubbles. As you stepped inside, the warmth hit you and you wanted nothing more than to shed your clothes and jump in. It looked so warm and inviting. Stepping inside, you slowly took off your cardigan as you walked further inside looking around. You pulled your hair up into a loose bun with a number of loose strands that fell around your face to keep the majority of your hair dry. Once you were sure no one was looking, you slid out of your gown and undergarments and left them in a pile at the side before sliding into the water. It was blissful! Your eyes fell shut as you leaned against the rim on the bath. The bath was very deep and came up to your shoulders. The bubbles smelled lovely and you felt like you could sleep in here. You were facing the door in case someone came in. There was a towel to your right so you were sure you would be fine. Your mind wondered to Cedric. Had he really done this for you? But speak of the devil and he shall appear. You heard a small gasp from the door and your eyes flew open. There, standing in the middle of the door with his mouth open was Cedric. “[y/n]?” He stuttered out, his hair falling in front of his eyes and he pushed his back. “Cedric?” You replied, suddenly realising that if he was surprised you were here, it wasn’t him who organised this. You sat up slightly, unaware of the water lowering to just cover your chest. But, once you did, you covered your breasts with one hand but you were thankful that the bubbles seemed to cover you. “I-i-Im sorry.” He started to back away, which caught you off guard. he hadn’t told you to get out, even though this must have been his bathroom and possibly his room. “Would you like to join me?” You suddenly asked, the words slipping past your lips before you could stop them. Cedric froze, his minds racing as he looked at you. You saw it in his eyes that he really did want to. You closed your eyes and twisted around so you were sitting more to the centre of the bath. You Your back was now to Cedric and you wondered if he was going to join you. You heard the sound of rustling of clothes and the padding of barefoot on the bathroom floor until you felt the water moved as someone climbed into the bath. You were only waiting an extra few seconds to make sure he was okay when you were surprised to feel a pair of hands touching your sides delicately. Your eyes opened just as you felt hot breath on your shoulder then a soft pair of lips. You let out a gasp that turned into a soft moan as Cedric stared to kiss your shoulder and neck. you felt him pull away slightly and you turned to glance over your shoulder at him. His cheeks were bright red and his eyes glazed over with lust. He leaned down, only an inch away from your lips when he stopped. You closed the distance and kissed him, nearly unable to believe this was happening. The kiss was passionate and you felt your head spinning. You felt your own lust building and you wanted nothing more than to realise it. You reached your hand between your legs, gently touching your swollen clit. You let out a moan against his lips as his hands pulled you closer. “Cedric.” You moaned against his lips, your eyes fluttering open to meet his. “I heard you.” Cedric suddenly said. He saw the confusion in your eyes and decided to continue with a deep breath. “When you were speaking to the children.” Your eyes widened as you sat up, your hand pulling away from your core so you could twist around to face him. You ducked a little further under the water as you right hand came up, crossed over your front to start rubbing your left shoulder. “it is okay.” Cedric smiled. He reached over and took your right hand, his eyes filled with hope. “I-I fell the same.” “But, the last few weeks since ive been here. You haven’t spoken to me once. You keep avoiding me.” You shake your head slightly as if you were trying to shake out his lies from your mind. You saw him shrink back slightly, embarrassed by his actions maybe? “You came back. And you were so beautiful, kind and gentle. You haven’t changed a bit. But I have. I am not the same boy you grew up with. I wanted to believe you had, I told myself you would have changed and you wouldn’t want to be my friend, let alone anything more. If you had not reciprocated my feelings, it would have been easier is you weren’t the same as I once knew you. But you were. You were everything I remembered and more. And I just couldn’t face you. You were my light and you still are. But one thing never changed. I have always loved you, even as a boy, I loved you.” You stated at him, wide-eyed. He saw this and took your widened eyes as disbelief. Ducking his head, he raised your hand to his mouth and pressed a soft kiss to the back of your hand like he had done all those years ago. You stared as he looked up at you, his mouth barley leaving your hand so you could still feel his hot breath on your skin. “I still love you.” He whispered, loud enough for you to hear him. Your heart jumped out of your body as you blinked rapidly, barley able to believe it. you moved quickly, wrapping both your arms around him and kissing him deeply. You didn’t care that your bare body pressed against his own. Nor did you care if the whole kingdom knew you loved him. his arms wrapped around your waist as the two of you sunk a little further underwater. Cedrics mind was racing. He could feel your breasts pressed against his chest. He was here, holding you naked. Nothing more perfect could have come to his mind as he pulled you closer. He felt himself harden under the water, barely able to contain himself anymore as he allowed himself to finally succumb to his desires in the hope you would feel the same. You could feel him, pressed up against you, his member rubbing against your stomach as your own lust grew. You gently pushed him back to the ledge and the two of you hopped up. You instantly straddled him, not breaking the kiss as you felt him against your core. The water came down passed your breast and allowed Cedric to view them, slightly covered in bubbles, when you pulled away from the kiss. His hands trailed up to gently cup and squeeze them, both his and your breath hitching as he did so. You let out a breathy moan as your eyes rolled shut. You felt Cedric lean forward and he started to kiss along your collar bone and back. “Cedric?” You breathed, feeling how he shuddered with pleasure as you said his name so you took this as a acknowledgement. “May-may we go through to the bedroom?” You asked. “Of course.” He pulled away and you moved off him. You stepped up onto the step to climb out when you noticed Cedric was still, frozen like ice. The water was now down to your knees, exposing your fully naked body to him. His mouth dropped open and if there wasn’t lust in his eyes before, it definitely was now. You decided to continue and elegantly climbed out the bath, walking to the door with as extra sway in your hips as you walked. You reached up and pulled your hair down, allowing it seductively fall across your wet, naked body. You glanced over your shoulder. “Are you coming?” You asked, pouting out your lower lip slightly. Cedric jumped to life and clamped out the tub. You smiled as he came up behind you. “I am not worthy.” He mumbled, his hand reaching out to move your hair to the side and kiss your neck. You closed your eyes, loving his words. You twisted in his arms, and wrapped your arm around his neck to pull him into the bedroom. The two of you fell back onto the bed, your passion for this man unable to be swayed by anything in the world. It felt like you were destined to love him. No matter what. Your legs were spread and Cedric between them. He quickly lined himself up with your entrance, his eyes seemed to be glued to your body but looked up to your face as he thrust inside you. He watched your face contorted with pleasure as you gasped. “Oh Cedric!” You cried out as she started to move inside you at a rather steady speed. “[y/n].” Cedric whispered, his eyes darting across your body . Your body responded to his as the two of you moved in perfect harmony. It felt natural to be like this with him and you were very aware how easily you had fallen into bed with him. But you didn’t care. He was worshipping you unlike anything you have ever experienced in your life. No one ever looked at you with even a 10th of the adoration that he had. You wrapped your legs around his waist as he moved in the most pleasurable way. His hair hung down, slightly covering his eyes as his cheeks were red. You loved the way he looked like this and, judging by how rapidly he was looking across your whole body, he felt the same. You rolled your hips against his and you heard him let out a groan. His speed started to increase as his hands gripped at your hips. You could feel the coil in your stomach tighten. From everything that happened in the bath, the way he looked at you and the way he was staring at you and moving inside you, you couldn’t control your body. “Cedric, i-i-I-“ you tried to say just as your orgasm hit you like a train. your body writhed under his, your walls tightening in the most pleasurable way. Cedric couldn’t deny himself the pleasure any more. He came inside you, spilling his seed deep into you as your walls massaged him. Cedric only just managed to collapse next to you, his heart hammering in his chest much like your own. You cuddled closer to him. From the heat of the bath plus the love-making, the two of you were boiling so didn’t get under the covers immediately. You lay on his chest and felt Cedric playing idly with your hair. “Stay tonight?” Cedric muttered, a little fear in his voice. You nodded, looking up at him lovingly. -----------------time skip------------ You sneaked back to your chambers in the early morning. Cedric and you had spoken most of the night and it was clear you would both have to get used to sneaking between the two rooms. But now, you didn’t mind it as you walked in the garden with Cedric hand in hand. It was the early evening and the sun was offering a beautiful sunset that was bright and beautiful. Neither of you noticed the purple dressed princess and her animal friends peaking at you from behind a bush. “He looks sooo happy when hes with her!” Sofia smiled, impressed that her plan worked. “Yeah, he really does.” Clover agreed. Cedric raised your hand and pressed a kiss to it. It was a small thing, but it meant the world to you. Just like you meant the world to him. It was like magic.

Sofia the Magical
Summary: When Princess Elena is freed, there is no longer a barrier for the amulet’s magic. With the full force of the amulet’s power in her hands, Sofia suddenly experiences bouts of accidental magic. Her parents wonder if it would be safer to put the amulet away, much to her dismay. The amulet is a part of her, and if she has to give it up, she doesn’t know what she’ll do. Rating: K+ Word Count: 3k+ Note: A one-shot based on my Sofia the Magical AU, collecting some of the headcanons from this post.
It all started after the visit to Hexley Hall—or at least that's when things started to get a bit…chaotic. Sofia supposed it all truly began when her father gave her the Amulet of Avalor, setting her on her journey to free Princess Elena from its jewelled confines. Now that the Crown Princess of Avalor was no longer inside the amulet, the magic within changed. There was much less restraint, as Sofia discovered when she accidentally turned herself into a rabbit.
But Sofia, and no one for that matter, not even Elena herself, did not realize just how much magic was at her disposal.
A week after visiting the academy for sorcerers and sorceresses, Sofia was assisting her sister with decorating the ballroom for the annual Floral Ball. Amber was supervising, as she was inclined to do, directing the Royal Decorators to and fro, armed with colourful flowers of all species, a sweet scent clinging to the air. Sparkling orange petals lay gracefully across the white-clothed tables, crystal vases housing rainbow bouquets. Garlands of roses, daisies, daffodils and carnations hung over the picturesque windows.
"Ooh, gorgeous!" exclaimed Amber, eyes lighting up at the sight of a pink floral sculpture of a flying horse. "That would look amazing by the banquet table—near my chair, of course."
The florist shot a quick glance at Baileywick, who was overseeing the preparations. The steward gave a subtle nod of approval and the florist dipped into a bow. "As you wish, Princess Amber."
Sofia finished attaching bright red bows to the chairs, each with a ruby rose in the middle. Smiling brightly, she did a twirl to take in the splashes of colour adorning the ballroom. "I love the Floral Ball!" she said cheerfully. "The flowers are always so pretty."
"They are," agreed Amber. She set her hands on her hips and frowned thoughtfully. "But we never have enough flowers."
Baileywick arched an eyebrow. "If we use any more flowers in our decorations we'll have to start piling them on the floor. Then where would everyone dance?"
Sofia giggled. "A roomful of flowers—I'd like to see how that would look."
She swung out her arms for emphasis, and a weird sensation suddenly overtook her. Her chest and palms of her hands tingled and then suddenly it felt as if a dozen insects were stinging her at once. Panicked, she opened her mouth to shout, and maybe she did, but she was stunned by a brilliant pink flash of light that emitted from her amulet.
"Sofia!" Amber cried as the girl stumbled backwards and fell to the ground, blue eyes dazed.
Baileywick rushed to her side. "Are you ill?" he asked, taking her hand and using his other wrist to feel for signs of a fever. "Have you eaten today?"
There was a soft rumbling and suddenly three dozen flowers appeared at the front of the room, piling high on top of each other. Amber let out a gasp as the flowers began to multiply, rapidly rising towards the ceiling and spilling over towards them.
"Baileywick!" she shrieked.
The steward was already standing, Sofia cradled in his arms. "Everyone leave at once!" he hollered over the confused murmuring.
The decorators, servants and florists stampeded from the ballroom. Baileywick was at the lead, a solid grip on both of the princesses. When everyone was safely in the corridor, Baileywick slammed the doors shut, seconds before the avalanche of flowers escaped into the rest of the castle.
Regaining her senses, Sofia stared at the firmly closed doors, eyes wide as they creaked with the pressure of the flowers building behind it. "Did…did I do that?"
"But how?" whispered Amber, staring at her sister in disbelief. "You didn't even say a spell. You just made it happen!"
"We're all going to take a deep breath here," interjected Baileywick as he tried to calm his own heartbeat. "Amber, get your parents and tell them to please meet us here. Take your sister with you. I'm going to speak with Cedric. Everyone else, you are dismissed until further notice."
Amber nodded. She took a perturbed Sofia's hand and gently led her away. With quick strides, Baileywick made his way towards Cedric's tower. He descended the stone steps and rapped sharply on the wooden door. "Cedric!"
There was a muffled shout coming from the other side and the sound of breaking glass. A few seconds later it was thrown open and Cedric scowled. "You don't need to shout," he snapped.
"We've got a magical problem."
"Did James steal my potion ingredients for experimenting again? Merlin's mushrooms, I swear I'm putting a lock on this door—"
"It's Sofia."
Cedric stopped his rant, a serious frown forming. "What's happened?"
"Somehow, she filled the ballroom with flowers," informed Baileywick. At Cedric's startled expression he continued, "I need you to try and give an explanation for why this happened. I know it has something to do with her amulet, but I know nothing of its history."
"I'm not an expert myself," retorted Cedric. But there was a cold, unsettling weight in his stomach, and he pushed his way past Baileywick. "Where is she?"
"She and the King and Queen will be meeting us outside the ballroom."
A few minutes later they were all gathered outside the heavy doors, where petals of flowers were pushing their way through the crack. Sofia had her amulet gripped tightly in one hand, an apprehensive expression on her face. Roland's brow was furrowed deeply. "I don't understand. Sofia is only a child. How could she have performed such strong magic?"
"It wasn't her, necessarily," said Cedric, nervous butterflies in his stomach, as they always appeared when conversing with the king. "It was the amulet's magic."
"But I don't understand. Sofia never did this before," spoke Miranda, hands moving to sit soothingly on her daughter's shoulders.
"Princess Elena was in the amulet before," reminded Cedric. "She acted as sort of a barrier, I suppose, and controlled the magic powers Sofia was granted. But now that she is free, Princess Sofia has full access to the amulet's magic."
"But I didn't mean to do it," insisted Sofia. "I just thought how nice it would be to see a room filled with flowers and did this." She cautiously re-enacted her gesture, relieved when her amulet stayed silent against her chest.
"You may not have intended to, but the amulet performed the magic anyway." Cedric rubbed his chin, realizing that despite his dreams and plots, he had no true idea of the realm of the Amulet of Avalor's power.
"Wait a minute," said James, raising his hands. "You mean Sofia did this by accident?"
"It's normal for magic beginners to have displays of unintentional magic," spoke Cedric.
Roland faced his Royal Sorcerer. "But not to this degree," he said knowingly.
"Er…no," said Cedric sheepishly. "Not to this degree."
Roland became quiet, a disturbed frown on his features. Sofia stared down at her amulet, eyes wide with awe. Amber and James exchanged curious looks. Miranda cleared her throat, disturbing the silence, and said, "Well, perhaps this is only a one-time accident. In any case, we'll just watch to see if anything else happens. Sofia, you'll let us know if you have any problems, right?"
Sofia nodded. "Of course."
"Then I suppose we won't worry about it now," decided Roland. "Cedric, if you will please clean up the ballroom. Guests will be arriving shortly."
"Come, Sofia. I'll help you pick out an adorable gown," assured Amber as Cedric bowed in acquiescence, linking arms with her sister.
Sofia made a noise of acknowledgement, staring down at her pink amulet, which glinted at her. She had known her necklace had always been special. She just didn't know exactly how much.
…
As another few weeks passed, Sofia's accidental magic did not cease, and Roland and Miranda were suddenly torn on how to handle the situation.
Wands would crack and splinter in her magic classes, unable to handle the amount of magic Sofia was channelling through them. In art class all the paints would change to one colour, the colour Sofia happened to need but did not have. When she danced ballet she would suddenly twirl so fast that it felt like she was a spinning top.
If she was too hot a small snow cloud would appear above her. When she was too cold it would be a tiny sun. Her gestures occasionally caused a magical blast and the amulet would grant her silent wishes. When she longed to have a cupcake during dinner, every piece of food was replaced with the pastry. Her emotions fuelled the level of magic emitting from her amulet, so the more frustrated or panicked she got, the more chaotic the spells.
In the nights Sofia would disappear from her room and reappear in different locations throughout the castle. Some instances she would wake up and trudge her way back to bed, and sometimes she would sleep right through the night wherever she ended up. Baileywick found her in the gardens once, having spotted the slumbering princess from the windows of kitchen. It was a more worrying version of sleepwalking.
The last straw for Roland was when the amulet transported Sofia to Royal Prep as she was having a dream about school. Sofia did not wake up until Flora, Fauna and Merryweather discovered her slumbering in their office in the morning when they arrived to open the building. By that time Baileywick had already discovered Sofia missing from her bed and the castle was out of its mind searching for her.
"That's it! I'm afraid we're going to have put the amulet back in the Jewel Room."
The declaration came after Sofia was brought home and everything settled down. She stared at her father in horror, hands clasping protectively over her amulet, feeling the magic pulse under her fingers. "But Dad, you gave this to me as a gift!"
Seeing her distraught expression, Roland lowered his tone and tried to calm himself down. "I know," he said gently, bending to clasp her hands. "I'll get you a prettier necklace to replace this one."
"No other necklace will allow me to talk to animals or turn into a mermaid," cried Sofia.
Roland gaped. "You can turn into a mermaid?"
"Rolly," spoke Miranda pointedly.
Giving his head a sharp shake, Roland continued. "I know this amulet means a lot to you. It's very special, and I know Princess Elena was right in choosing you to wear it."
"Then why can't I keep it?" pressed Sofia, eyes growing hot with tears.
"Because it's dangerous." Roland tucked a strand of brunette hair behind Sofia's ear. "If this magic becomes too much, you could get hurt, and I can't bear for that to happen. It'll be safe in the Jewel Room, and perhaps you can wear it occasionally. Or if you want to send it back to Princess Elena, you can."
Tears trailing down her cheeks, Sofia backed away and whispered, "I want to go to my room!"
In a dazzling flash of pink light Sofia disappeared, glittering sparkles lingering in her wake. Roland stood and let out a long sigh. "I'm not doing the right thing, am I?"
Miranda went to take his hand. "I don't want Sofia wearing it either. But I also know that the Amulet of Avalor is in the safest hands it'll ever be in. She's so young, and there are so many risks, but for forty-one years, Princess Elena didn't find a princess worthy enough until she met Sofia. That's an honour. Sofia has rarely taken it off since you gave it to her. It means so much to her. If we take it away…"
"…she might never be her true self again," finished Roland. "I want to keep her safe."
"I know. So do I. Cedric can help teach Sofia control. The Good Fairies will watch over her at school. If Sofia can learn to use her powers, there's no telling what good she can do for the kingdom. There's a reason Sofia has the amulet."
"…all right," said Roland with a slow nod. "We'll keep a close eye on her. And if the magic becomes too much...
"We'll put it away," finished Miranda.
"I'll go talk to her."
"I'll come with you."
The pair ventured to Sofia's bedroom, where Miranda knocked lightly at the door before entering. Sofia lifted her wet face from her pillow and sat up. "Do I have to give my amulet up now?" she asked miserably.
"No, dear." Miranda sat next to her and used a handkerchief to wipe away her tears. "We never meant to upset you. We're just worried, that's all."
"You've been very responsible with the amulet so far," said Roland. "I know you'll do your best to handle your magic. But accidents happen." He linked hands with Sofia and said seriously, "I don't want anything to happen to you. So we're going to have some rules. You can continue wearing the amulet."
Sofia grinned widely. "Thanks, Dad!" she exclaimed, embracing him.
"I know you can't help your accidental magic, but you do know how to use some of your powers already," spoke Miranda. "You have to use them in moderation. Hard-work is important, so you can't depend on your powers for everything. We'll see about Cedric teaching you magic, control and restraint. You'll have to listen to everything he says."
"I will." Sofia nodded hard.
"If you find yourself having any problems with your magic, no matter how small, you tell us immediately," continued Roland. "And if we think you're not ready to handle the Amulet of Avalor, we'll keep it aside until you're older. Do we have a deal?"
"Absolutely!" Sofia sprang to her feet with a happy smile. "I'll be really responsible, I promise."
"I know you will." Roland smiled and tickled her chin. "I'm off to inform Cedric about his new role. I believe Baileywick has a snack for you in the kitchen."
"Ooh, a snack! Thanks Mom and Dad. I love you."
Miranda gave her daughter a tight hug. "We love you too."
"Very much," added Roland.
Sofia skipped out of her room and down the stairs, feeling lighter than she had in days. She knew she was being entrusted with a huge responsibility, and it made her both proud and nervous. It would take a while to get used to the magic now in her control, but she would work hard at it. She would not let Elena, or the Amulet of Avalor, down.
"Hey, Soph!"
Turning to look over her shoulder, Sofia smiled to see James hurrying to catch up to her. "Hi, James. What's up?"
"I wanted to see if you were okay. I heard Dad saying he thought it would be best if he took your amulet." James spotted the pink trinket hanging securely around his sister's neck and he grinned. "You still have it!"
"Yeah, Mom and Dad said I could keep it. I get to learn magic from Mr. Cedric, but I have to be careful how I use my powers." Sofia traced a finger over the chain. "It's going to be a lot of work. But it's more than worth it if I can keep the amulet. It feels like it's a part of me."
"What does it feel like?" asked James with intrigue. "When you use magic?"
"It kinda feels like my palms are being stung, and there's a weird feeling in my chest, but it's not bad. It feels sort of good." Sofia smiled sheepishly. "Doesn't make much sense, does it?"
"Nah, it makes sense to me. Did Princess Elena ever deal with this?"
Sofia shook her head. "I wrote her a letter, but she wasn't sure. She only wore it for a year and she didn't get any magic powers until after she was freed from the amulet. But she said if I ever had any questions I could contact her at any time. I guess there's still not much known about the amulet."
"We'll help you figure it out," said James confidently. "You, me, Amber, Mom, Dad, Baileywick and Cedric. We'll help you together."
"Thanks, James." Sofia smiled at him, linking arms. "I really appreciate it."
"Of course." He then turned thoughtful. "You know, you need a name. Like Cedric and his dad—Goodwin the Great."
Sofia raised an eyebrow in amusement. "But I'm not really a sorceress. I'm just a princess with a magical necklace."
"Doesn't mean you can't have a name," retorted James. "How about Sofia the All-Powerful?"
Sofia hesitated, her stomach twisting at this moniker. It sounded so…serious, so intense. She knew the Amulet of Avalor was powerful, but she never thought of herself as powerful. It gave her an uncomfortable feeling to be called all-powerful, as if she were a warrior or conqueror.
"It's nice," she said, not wanting to hurt James' feelings.
But her brother had not missed the cringe and hummed for a moment. "I know!" he exclaimed. "Sofia the Magical!"
Sofia blinked and smiled sincerely. "Sofia the Magical," she echoed. "Yeah, I like that!"
"Perfect." James beamed and made a grand gesture, sweeping out his arm to indicate the kitchens. "Let's go eat our snacks, and then proceed to eat as many cookies and cakes and pies as we can before Baileywick catches us."
"It would be my pleasure," giggled Sofia, and the two siblings hurried off.
Sofia didn't quite know how long it would take before she was in control of her magic. She didn't know just how much power she had, or if she should worry over enemies old and new seeking to poach the amulet for themselves. She didn't know how this change would impact her future. But she did know one thing.
Ever since she received the Amulet of Avalor, her life had changed for the better. With her family and friends by her side, she knew she would be just fine.

Chapter Two
Skylar
The elf let out a groan as she sat up holding her head. "Oh sweet maker, my head." She mutters. She felt bandages wrapped around her head.
"Oh, you're awake!" A voice called out.
The elf turns her head to see three people standing near the bed beside her. A man wearing a purple robe with black hair and white bangs. Next to him, stood a girl wearing a link dress wearing an matching amulet. And lastly, a tall elder man was next to them who wore glasses. The elf looked around the room to see that she was in the infirmary. She started to move until Baileywick stopped her.
"Easy there, you shouldn't move too much. You have a serious head injury." He said.
"Where am I?" The elf asked.
" You're in Enchancia, more precisely king Roland's castle. " The castle steward said.
The elf looked at the three of them. "Who are you?" She asked.
" I'm the castle's steward, Baileywick." Baileywick said.
"I'm Sofia!" Sofia answered. She gestures to the man beside her placing her hand on his arm.
"And this is our royal sorcerer, Cedric the Great!" Sofia smiled.
Cedric blushes and laughs sheepishly. "You're being too modest, princess." He said.
Sofia smiles and winks at him "But, it's true!" Then she looks back to the elf.
"And you are?" Sofia asked.
The elf looks at them then looks down trying to recall anything. Her mind was blank.
She shakes her head in frustration " I..." The elf said. "I can't remember."
"You can't remember anything at all? Not even your name?" Sofia asked.
"No. "
"It appears that you have amnesia." Baileywick said, concerned.
"It may be some time before your memories return, if they ever do. So in the meantime, just rest and take was easy."
"Well, what do you want to call me?" The elf asked.
The three of them looked surprised. Baileywick smiles. "Oh yes, we certainly can't just leave you nameless now, can we?"
"Hmm, how about Twinkle?" Sofia suggests.
The elf glared and made a disgusted face. "Anything but that." She disagreed.
The princess laughs. "Okay, so no!" Sofia ponders some more.
"What about Skylar?" She asked.
The elf thinks for a moment letting the name sink in.
"I suppose it will do for now." Skylar said.
Sofia smiles. "Great! Then Skylar it is!" She said, happily.

Cedlock Drabbles: 30 Day Challenge 🏁
August 31, Day 5!
“Shhh, they’ll hear us.”
Poor Cedric was trying so hard to keep quiet, but the way Greylock was teasing him was making it quite difficult. The two men were hidden within a secret door in Enchancia’s royal library, nearly within earshot of Baileywick and King Roland, who were having a chat in the hallway outside. Cedric suddenly jumped, gasping softly; Greylock had just touched a sensitive spot. The other man put a finger to his lips, a playful grin inching across his face. “Greylock, I…I can’t…” Cedric whimpered, his cheeks burning with embarrassment and pleasure. He wasn’t sure how much he could take without screaming. “Yes you can, darling,” Greylock whispered in his ear. “Yes, you can.” He smiled adoringly at his lover, caressing his cherry-red cheek. Cedric nodded, nuzzling into Greylock’s shoulder as he gave into his sinfully sweet ministrations, mouth open in a silent moan he was confident no one would ever hear.

The Sorcerer and the Kitchen Witch: Chapter 4
I just about died of cuteness as I was writing this! Cedric the Sorcerer x OC Patrina belongs to me, everyone else belongs to Craig Gerber and Disney Junior. ((Fanfic by queen-of-fools, do not claim as your own)) The following afternoon would prove to be quite eventful for Cedric. Sofia had somehow managed to coax him out into the ballroom with the promise of a late lunch. "Honestly, child, sometimes I wonder what goes on in that busy little head of yours," he muttered, tutting to himself. Sofia giggled. "I think this could really boost your confidence a bit, Mister Cedric," she said with certainty. Cedric just rolled his eyes. He wasn't entirely sure what Sofia had in mind, but he was willing to go through with it. As soon as they set foot in the middle of the dance floor, Sofia pulled out her apprentice's wand and conjured a full-length mirror. All right, what's going on here? Cedric wondered. Sofia just smiled. "Stand right here, please," she encouraged, pointing towards the floor in front of the mirror. Cedric sighed. He didn't really have much of a choice now, did he? Once he was in position, Sofia cried, "Mutato fabrico!" There was a sudden glimmer and, in an instant, Cedric's usual attire changed into a velvet purple and black three-piece suit. He gasped, but his momentary surprise soon turned into admiration as he gazed upon his reflection. "Hmm, not bad," he remarked thoughtfully, smoothing back his bicolor hair. "But what's all this for, if I may ask?" "You'll see!" Sofia said with a wink. She turned to call out to a certain someone over her shoulder. "You can come out now, Miss Patrina!" Cedric gasped again, this time out of shock. Patrina??? The princess surely couldn't have bribed him into a date! But very soon his shock changed to awe when he saw her walking-no, practically floating-out into the room towards him. Neptune's nettles, she looked angelic. Her hair was gorgeously swept up into a braided bun, a rose fascinator pinned over her left ear. Her dress perfectly matched his suit, the skirt generously decorated with twinkling rubies. Cedric's lips mouthed the words "Oh wow" as he gaped at Patrina, a stupid smile inching across his face within seconds. Patrina giggled, coyly glancing down at the floor before looking up at him again. "Hello, Signor Cedric," she sang in a sweet voice, curtsying elegantly. Cedric inclined his head forward with all the confidence he could muster. His poor heart was leaping exuberantly right now. "Hello, Miss Patrina," he purred, offering his hand in a smooth gesture. "May I have the pleasure of dancing with you?" Patrina nodded, placing her hand in his, silently marveling how warm it felt. "The pleasure is mine." With Sofia's go-ahead, Baileywick began to play a slow waltz on a violin. Cedric gulped nervously; he hadn't danced in ages. But Patrina grinned at him in encouragement, patiently guiding him through the moves and gently correcting his posture as needed. Sofia smiled widely, delighted that all was going well. "You're good at this," Cedric whispered. Patrina's cheeks flushed modestly. "My father taught me how to dance when I was little. We practiced at least three times a week." "Amazing." Cedric was very impressed. But there was a hint of sadness in Patrina's eyes that he noticed when she mentioned her father. Also, was she wearing that blue crystal necklace on the day he first met her? It caught his eye just now. Ah, he'd ask her about that later. Right now, he was savoring every minute dancing with Patrina, forgetting everything else, focusing only on her. The waltz ended with Cedric slowly twirling Patrina, and Sofia clapped with joy. "That was wonderful! You're a great dancer, Mister Cedric! You too, Miss Patrina!" "Grazie! Thank you, Sofia," Patrina said with a huge, happy smile. "Yes, thank you," Cedric added, feeling the tips of his ears turn red. "Oh Sofia, before we eat, I have a very special gift for Signor Cedric," said Patrina, taking a clump of weeds Baileywick had been holding for her and waving her wand over them. "Mutato flora!" A sudden puff of purple smoke revealed a bouquet of sweet little violets where the weeds once were. Cedric's eyes twinkled as a great big grin spread across his rapidly blushing face. "Merlin's mushrooms! Those are my favorite flowers!" he cried, taking the bouquet to inhale the lovely fragrance, sighing blissfully. "Sofia told me you love violets, so I decided to give these to you." Patrina stated. Cedric pulled Patrina and Sofia in for a bear hug, eliciting giggles out of all of them. "Best gift ever!" "Well, it seems the tea has sufficiently cooled," Baileywick piped up. "Are we ready to eat now?" "Oh, yes indeed!" Sofia exclaimed. Patrina and Cedric nodded, joining Sofia and Baileywick at the table outside in the afternoon sun, holding hands on the way there.

The Sorcerer and the Kitchen Witch: Chapter 6
It took a bit of thought, but I finally finished this chap! Cedric the Sorcerer x OC Cedric and Baileywick belong to Craig Gerber and Disney Junior. Patrina belongs to me. ((Fanfic by queen-of-fools, do not claim as your own)) Baileywick stopped by Patrina's quarters the morning after the thunderstorm with a breakfast tray, and was rather surprised to see Cedric in the room as well. But the steward smiled warmly when he saw the sorcerer sitting on the side of the bed next to Patrina, who was sleeping peacefully. Baileywick set the tray down on the nightstand, softly clearing his throat to catch Cedric's attention. Cedric looked up, smiling wryly in response. "I trust she's doing well?" Baileywick inquired, his voice low so as not to wake Patrina. Cedric nodded. "Mhm. She had a bit of a panic attack last night because of the storm. But," he continued, thoughtfully stroking Patrina's hair, "she seems to be all right now." "Very good," Baileywick remarked, looking very relieved. "I'm glad." He then noticed a glimmer of tenderness in Cedric's amber eyes, an expression he had never seen before. He knew he had seen Cedric make such an expression around Sofia, but it seemed somewhat different around Patrina. Baileywick chuckled at this. "What?" Cedric huffed in a flat tone, pouting irritatingly. "You really are in love, aren't you?" Baileywick commented, his grin growing bigger. Cedric waved him off. "Hush you," he grunted. Presently, there was a soft sigh from the bed as Patrina lazily turned in her sleep, one hand subconsciously seeking a stuffed wolf which was resting on the pillow next to her. Cedric set the toy closer so she could snuggle with it. Aww, Baileywick thought; this little action reminded him of Sofia cuddling her own stuffed toys. "Cedric, if I were you," the steward suggested, "I'd tell Miss Patrina how you feel. It's been a week since you two met." "I know," Cedric mumbled, keeping his eyes on Patrina. Baileywick turned gracefully towards the door, pausing at the threshold to give Cedric one more encouragement before leaving. "It should already be apparent to you that she feels the same. Make it work." After Baileywick was gone, Cedric heard Patrina stirring out of her sleep. When he looked at her, a pair of wide hazel eyes gazed back at him. His cheeks turned crimson. Her eyes held that same twinkle he saw during their dance date last week. Cedric had no clue what to do, but he had to at least say something. "Stuffed wolf?" he murmured, gesturing his head towards the soft toy. Patrina smiled fondly, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. "Sì," she said, "she was a Midsummer gift. Her name is Luna," she added, giving the fluffy white wolf a loving squeeze. "I've had her since I was three." "That's so sweet," Cedric remarked, his features melting into a sentimental grin. Then, his eyes flicked curiously towards the blue crystal necklace. Patrina seemed to have noticed; she raised her arms to remove it, holding the crystal in the palm of her hand. Cedric leaned in for a closer look, eyes wide with wonder. "Papa gave this to me the day I was born," Patrina explained. "It has a picture of him inside." She glanced up at Cedric, smiling. "Do you want to see?" Cedric nodded, feeling the intensity of Patrina's smile turn his ears red. Patrina popped the crystal open, showing the tiny picture within. Cedric gasped. "Russo the Magnificent!" he spoke in awe. "I read about him in one of my history books." Patrina was surprised. "There's history books of my homeland, Luneria?" Her eyes sparkled with hope. "Uh huh!" Cedric confirmed. "Well, only a few, but yes. The Lunerians have a rich tradition of the magical arts. Many great magicians came from that land." "That they did," Patrina agreed, staring thoughtfully at her crystal. "Including my father. I believed he was one of the greatest sorcerers in the world, because he never gave up even when he wanted to." "I know how that feels," Cedric muttered to himself, letting out a discouraged sigh. Then, Patrina let out a deep sad sigh of her own, closing the crystal slowly. She sat up, knees drawn to her chest. Cedric tilted his head inquisitively. "I'm never going to be like Papa," she said miserably. Cedric was shocked to hear Patrina say such things. She was usually so positive and upbeat, so sure of herself, so confident. She seemed to be everything he believed he wasn't, and now? Now it didn't seem to be the case. Not this time anyway. Patrina toyed with her necklace chain, her countenance gloomy and pensive. She sighed again. "Papa could do everything. All I ever know how to do is kitchen magic, and maybe some mutato spells," she mused. "My disappearo spell needs improvement. But not much else besides that. Seems like it'll be years before I'll be anything like Papa." She turned on her side, her back facing Cedric. She didn't want him to see the tears that were threatening to flow. "Mama always called me Patrina of Luneria, because she always believed I would one day be the greatest sorceress among my people. Right," she grumbled bitterly. "More like Patrina the Loser." "That is not true." Those four words came spilling out of Cedric with a firm conviction he rarely used. Patrina whipped around in astonishment. She never expected him to say that. Cedric reached out to smooth her hair back, his expression gentle and caring. "If it's a refresher you want, I'm more than delighted to teach you," he said, his voice nervously pausing every few words. "But don't ever say things you know aren't true. I already think you're a wonderful witch. Why, sometimes I wish I had your confidence! Besides, I'm sure your Papa is already proud of the progress you made so far since you came here." "You really think so?" Patrina asked, her voice beginning to crack. She lifted a hand to swipe away a tear, but Cedric beat her to it, his thumb carefully caressing underneath her eye. "Of course I do," he said with certainty. "I'm not going to give up on you. I believe in you, Patrina." It was the first time he had spoken her name without using any titles. Patrina was stunned. "Imagine that," she wondered out loud, "Cedric the Sensational has faith in me." The sorcerer rubbed the back of his neck humbly, his ears burning from being given such praise. Suddenly, Patrina pulled him into an all-consuming embrace around the shoulders, burying her face into his neck. Cedric's hands hovered over her for a moment before settling them on her back, giving it a light pat. "I love you," Patrina whispered. Cedric's eyes grew as wide as tea saucers. "Y-you do?" "What did I just say?" "I love you?" Patrina giggled, her cheeks and nose turning a brilliant vermilion. "I love you, too."
