the parallels aren't actually there but there is always a part of me that wants to make sirion + callebero more orphesus and eurydice-esque
#meanwhile from her family's POV jisel IS persephone#so that's fun#anyway they rlly aren't o+e esque at all#in that callebero is like. actively steeped in death and not rlly an innocent bride bitten by a snake#BUT he is believed dead bc of a kingdom symbolized by a snake#(technically it's an ouroboros)#and sirion is mute and has spent his life so focused on his career (/comes from an artisan family with less access to or expectation of#arts training) that he's never been a musician#BUT he does go to the land of death [the country where callebero's maman was killed and callebero is believed to have been killed] and#retrieve callebero#and for some reason that is enough for my brain to be like 'buT WHAT IF'#the thing that kind throws a spanner in the works#is that callebero does sort of um. get canonized as the god of death incarnate#so that also. puts some obstacles in the way of the parallels#tcp editing adventures
