“North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell,“ Alice replied way too quickly and without having to think about it. “I really love Edison Gooseberry, Angie Woodwork, Jane Austen, Winston Graham books, too, though. But my absolute favorite is North and South without a doubt. It was not so long before my mom-- it’s probably the last picture of the three of us together and one of the last memories I have of her.” She took it with herself to Hogwarts when she was there and took it home whenever she was on break, and she made her dad put a bunch of protection spells back before her first year at Hogwarts to make sure nothing happened to it.
