"SEASONS OF GRATITUDE"

Oregon's southermost city along Interstate 5, picturesque Ashland is home to Southern Oregon University and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, but despite the city's appearance of affluence to the seasonal tourist, large segments live below the poverty line. Since 1972 local faith groups have joined other concerned community members supporting the @AshlandEmergencyFoodBank and today they regularly provide assistance to more than 600 families—approximately 35% of the individuals served are children under 18. Five years ago local artist / entrepreneur Denise Baxter, founder of the @AshlandArtCenter , partnered with the city and painted this mural for the Clover Ln food bank.
