#Aris returning Thuban's heart

Was cleaning out my phone gallery, and I had forgotten that I screen shots saved of an Aris and Thuban from @spider-lilies-if @fell-star-if made on Heros Forge.

I could see Aris getting to know and bonding with both the Harbinger and Shian, wanting to help Thuban once he learns Shian "literally" holds her heart. He's a single parent he knows what it's like to want to go to any lengths to protect your child and give them a good life. Besides, Aris has enough knowledge about homunculus that he could probably figure out a safe way to give Shian a heart and return Thuban's.

Tbh there is something oddly romantic about the concept of a king who is capable of literally holding the heart of the Harbinger in his hands and chooses to give it back to her, because it would save her child's life.

Not to mention, it would definitely capture Thuban's attention, and it's fun to imagine Aris reaction when she starts showing romantic interest in him. Just the mental image of Aris losing his stoicism and becoming flustered when the Harbinger herself flirtatious tease him by saying "if you're so willing to return my own heart back to me without hesitation, would you also give me your heart if I desired it?"

Although considering Aris' personality, Thuban may have to clarify that she didn't mean his actual heart. Would be a hilarious misunderstanding, tho, Thuban trying to flirt with Aris and he's thinking oh well she is the Harbinger, makes sense she'd be more than capable of taking him out if he lost himself and became a threat. Not how Aris imagined dying, but ngl it would be a huge honor to have someone as experienced and awe inspiring as Thuban be the one to end his life. Until Thuban explains she wants to court him, she knows she's hasn't dated in a couple of centuries, but is she really so rusty? Also, it's kind of too soon to ask about a mercy killing. That's more the kind of thing you talk about in a committed relationship (Thuban might say this jokingly, but she's probably been around long enough that she may have had to end a loved ones life out of mercy).
