I’m back once again with something soft about @amalasdraws Ocs Aran and Tao!

Sunday mornings were typically slow, Aran usually had the day off of work and after spending the previous night at the bar spitting rhymes, he wanted to sleep in a little bit. Tao, on the other hand, is up before the sun rises, usually out for his morning run.

Tao’s side of the bed is empty when Aran first wakes but there is a lingering warmth that he can’t help but snuggle into. Drawing the blankets back up around his chin he finds himself slipping back into a light sleep. It’s around nine when Aran stirs awake, the remaining warmth of a kiss lingering on his forehead. A warm cup of coffee is sitting on the bedside table and Aran can’t help the smile that pulls at his lips, from the room he can hear Tao shuffling about in the kitchen, the smell of breakfast cooking fills the entire apartment. 

Aran stumbles out of bed, still half asleep, and makes his way to the kitchen, coffee warm in his hands, a sleepy pleased smile gracing his lips. He finds Tao fresh from his run, hair in a messy bun and an apron tied around his waist, humming a tune as he stirs his eggs. Aran approaches Tao, wrapping an arm around his waist and placing a kiss on his temple. Tao turns his head a bright smile splitting his face and kisses Aran's smiling lips. Aran sets his coffee on the counter so he can fully embrace Tao and settles his head on his shoulder. 

"Good morning," He mumbles, his voice thick with sleep, "smells good."

A shiver runs down Tao's spine when Aran's morning stubble tickles his jaw. It doesn't go unnoticed and Aran scrapes his stubble along Tao's jaw and neck just to hear the giggle that bubbles out of Tao. They stand is silence for a few minutes, soaking in the warmth surrounding them, blissful and content. Tao starts to hum again and Aran sways them side to side, rocking them to a beat only they know.

They eat breakfast leisurely, eggs, toast, and coffee, accompanied by small talk and shared laughs. They put on one of the new records Aran had just got, an older jazz record that has them bumping their hips together as they stand side by side and wash the dishes. Before Aran can even place the last dish in the drying rack, Tao is tugging him towards the middle of the room a teasing smile curling at the corner of his mouth. Aran is rolling his eyes, working hard to suppress his smile, but he can’t resist Tao, he’s absolutely weak for that bright smile, and soon enough they are both slow dancing in the kitchen. It's intimate and close and Aran finds himself counting the freckles on Tao’s face for the billionth time, the morning sun illuminating them in soft, warm light. Aran rests his head on Tao’s shoulder for a moment before drawing back, face drawn tight in somewhat disgust.

“You stink!” He blurts out, nose scrunching up.

Tao bursts out laughing, a genuine ugly laugh, before wheezing out, “I went for a run this morning what did you expect?”

“Go get cleaned up.” Aran playfully nudges Tao towards the bathroom.

“Only if you join me.” The words are teasing and playful but they set Aran’s face ablaze regardless. He mumbles a bashful “fine” and Tao is left beaming, pulling Aran in the direction of the bathroom.

They shed their clothes while waiting for the water to warm up, soft smiles adorning both of their faces. The atmosphere that surrounds them is comfortable and soon the small bathroom is filled with steam, bodies shuffling to get under the warm stream of water.

There is an easy silence hanging between them, neither of them finding the need to speak and break the silence. Tao turns to Aran, shampoo bottle in his hand, asking a silent question. Aran takes the bottle from him eagerly and squirts a generous amount into his palm. The calming scent of tea tree fills his nose as he begins to work his fingers through Tao’s hair. He scrubs his fingers along Tao’s scalp and there is a soft hum of approval from Tao as he feels himself relax. Aran pulls the sudsy hair back and out of Tao’s face before he styles it up into a somewhat successful mohawk. He huffs a laugh when Tao lets out an indignant gasp at the current state of his hair, kissing his nose apologetically. Tao wiggles his way under the stream of water, sulking, and begins rinsing the shampoo from his hair, working out any knots. Aran kisses the pout from Tao’s lips before washing up.

They stay in the shower until the water is luke warm and their fingers pruny. After throwing on some comfortable clothes, they find themselves curled up on the couch. Aran rests against Tao’s side a book in his lap and Tao’s fingers running along his buzzed hair. Yeah, Sundays were typically slow, but Aran wouldn’t trade this for anything.

It cannot be helped. You convinced yourself habang inaayos ang face mask ngayong bumaba ka na sa jeep.

Lately, kumakalat na raw ang corona virus sa Pilipinas kaya hindi na advisable ang lumabas. Pero kailangan mong makipagkita sa mga groupmates mo this Saturday para sa final project niyo sa Purposive Communication.

Tumigil ka sa paglalakad nang nakita si Aran na may suot na face mask at ginamit na pamaypay ang face shield sa labas ng tindahan na katapat ng school. Kaagad kang nakilala ni Aran kahit na naka-face mask ka rin.

He raised his hand, waving as he took off his mask, "Pres!" Tawag niya sa 'yo.

Kumaway ka pabalik habang naglalakad ka papalapit sa kaniya, "Hi, Aran. Long time no see," you joked kahit na ang totoo ay ilang araw lang namang suspended ang classes.

Tumango si Aran, "Nga, eh. Pota kasi 'tong corona, basag trip. Ayan tuloy, wala tayong face to face."

"Nandiyan na ba iba nating members sa loob?" You asked.

"Oo, oo. Andito na si Atsumu at Suna," sabi ni Aran, "Pasok tayo dali."

You nodded and followed Aran. Binuksan niya ang pinto para sa inyong dalawa (naks, gentledog). Walang tao sa loob ng kainan bukod kay Atsumu at si Suna.

"Hi, Pres!" Suna greeted na hindi tinatanggal ang mata sa phone. Busy sa ML.

Kaagad na umangat ang tingin ni Atsumu nang narinig ang nickname mo. Namilog ang mga mata ni Atsumu at binaba niya ang facemask niya sa tuwa.

"Pres!" He gleefully said as he spread his arms, para bang he's about to hug you.

Napangiwi ka. If there's one thing you did not miss (aside from the President-duties), it's ang kakulitan at pagiging feeling close ni Atsumu...medyo.

Handa ka sana to push him away nang tumigil siya sa paglapit sa "yo.

"Joke lang. May corona, bawal hugs," he chirpped.

"Nakakahalata na ako, Pres, ah? Galawan mo, parang crush mo ako..." biro niya at may dinukot sa bulsa niya ang spray.

Ang kapal...you blurted in your mind.

"Kamay," he said as he pointed his lips at your hands na nakahawak sa bag mo.

Confused, you showed him his hands. Ayun naman pala, he sprayed the bottle spray on your palms. Kaagad mong nalaman kung ano 'yun.

"Alcohol para safe ka lagi," Atsumu cheekily said before keeping his alcohol spray ulit.

"Ayun, safe na Pres namin," he said before reaching for your shoulders to pull you into a hug.

"Akala ko ba walang hug kasi corona?" Aran asked in confusion as he watches Atsumu hug you tighter. Pinakyuhan lang siya ni Atsumu.

You exhaled heavily. Akala mo 'di ka na niya yayakapin talaga dahil sa corona virus.

Soooo @amalasdraws introduced her OCs Aran and Tao and I fell absolutely in love with them so I wrote a little blurb about them! Please check her out she’s a wonderful artist! 

Another late night, another show, same old dingy bar. It was a routine Aran had grown accustomed to. His music had always been a way to vent his emotions, a way for him to speak his mind when words failed him. Music had been there for him since high school, ever since Tao moved. He takes a long drag from his cigarette, the late summer breeze blowing warm across his face as he exhales, smoke curling into the sky. The name Tao bounces around in Aran’s mind and memories come flooding back to him. Memories of him and Tao as kids, meeting up to play ball at the local court. Memories of being carefree and a little dumb in their teenage years, sneaking out on Friday nights to explore abandoned buildings. A small smile forms on Aran’s lips at the nostalgia but it twists into a grimace. The memory of Tao moving away, leaving him when they both shared a similar dream, it makes his chest ache and leaves a bitter taste in his mouth.

Aran takes another drag, the slow burn replacing the ache in his chest, and he lets his mind wander once again. His mind dredges up a memory from his early teens, the summer before he and Tao started high school. It was a Friday night and the two of them were out exploring an old strip mall, their worries forgotten if only just for a moment. It was the first time the two of them had ever smoked weed, tucked away in some old building, the two of them sharing a joint, giggling and feeling warm. Aran probably spent the whole night comparing Tao’s freckles to the stars above. He will never forget the way Tao giggled as he brushed his finger over his cheek or his arm, mapping out constellations and giving them goofy names as he went.

Aran remembers it clear as day because it was probably the last time he truly felt that carefree. He tilts his head towards the sky above, a sigh leaving his lips, he wishes he could go back. Go back to being carefree and happy, go back to playing ball, more importantly go back to being with Tao. He hates that life always found a way of mucking things up but with the news about Tao coming back to town he can’t help but feel a little hopeful. Maybe not now, but someday.

Gabay sa Paglalakbay sa Baguio: Narito ang lahat ng kailangan mong malaman mula sa mga tip sa paglalakbay, kung saan manatili, kung ano ang gagawin at pagkain na makakain, napasakop ka namin!

Ako ay isang Mag-aaral sa Junior High School nang magtapak ako sa Baguio sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon. Ito ay ang aming Retreat (Lahat ng Mga Babae) Ako ay ilang hakbang lamang upang maging isang Senior High Student, na kung saan ay isang kaibigan ko at inaasahan ko ito.

Matapos ang higit sa 6 na oras ng pagsakay sa bus mula sa Bataan, sa wakas nakarating kami sa Baguio sa paligid ng tanghalian. Sa kalagitnaan ng pagdiskarga ng aming mga bag, nakaupo kami ng aking mga kaibigan at namahinga sa labas ng van. Habang nag-uusap kami tungkol sa lamig at pag-aalaga ng tanawin ng Burnham Park, bumili kami ng ube at strawberry taho. Nag-iikot kami sa Baguio. Pagod na pagod ako at ang mga batang babae binaba namin ang aming mga bag at pinag-uusapan ang sesyon. Iyon ang aking pinakamaagang memorya ng Baguio City. Kahit na ngayon na ang lungsod ay sumailalim sa maraming mga pagbabago at mas maganda, ang mga bayan na walang katuturan ay naging madali nang ma-access.

Mahalagang Impormasyon tungkol sa Baguio

Baguio sa isang Sulyap: Mahal ng lahat ang Baguio. Ito ang tinaguriang "pinaka-malamig na lungsod sa Pilipinas". Sa mga oras, ang temperatura ay bababa sa kasing baba ng 9 degree Celsius lalo na mula Nobyembre hanggang Pebrero. Ang kasaganaan ng mga puno ng pine sa paligid ng lungsod ay isa sa pinakakikilalang tampok ng lugar. Gustung-gusto ng mga turista ang amoy ng pine sa loob ng maraming taon. (Nakalulungkot, ang mga pine tree na ito ay nabawasan sa bilang sa nakaraang 10 taon.) Kung gusto mo ang bundok at ang malamig na panahon, pumunta sa Baguio.

- Ito ay isa sa mga pinaka magagandang lugar sa lungsod. Dito, masisiyahan ka sa mga bulaklak, mag-piknik, sumakay ng bisikleta o magtampisaw ng bangka.

Camp John Hay

- Kapag naiisip mo ang Baguio, ang mga unang bagay na naisip mo ay ang mga puno ng pino, mga puno ng pine, at maraming mga puno ng pine, tama? Live ang pangarap na iyon sa Camp John Hay. Mahusay na bisitahin ang isang maaraw na araw at magpiknik din.

Wright Park

- Ang Wright Park ay pinakatanyag sa mga kabayo. Gayunpaman, mayroong higit dito kaysa sa pagsakay sa kabayo. Mahahanap mo rito ang mga nakamamanghang tanawin at maraming puno ng pino.

Tam-awan Village

- Kung nais mong maranasan ang kaunting kultura ng Cordillera, pumunta sa Tam-awan Village. Maaari mo ring piliing manatili sa gabi sa isa sa mga kubo.

Botanical Garden

- Gustung-gusto ko ang Botanical Garden dahil lamang napuno ito ng lahat ng mga uri ng halaman. Kung nandiyan ka, suriin ang lugar na ito!

The Mansion

- Nais mo bang makita ang bahay kung saan natutulog ang mga pangulo ng bansa kapag binisita nila ang Baguio? Bisitahin ang Mansion! Ilang hakbang lamang ang layo mula sa Wright Park.

TRANSPORTATION AROUND BAGUIO:

- Ang pangunahing anyo ng pampublikong transportasyon sa Baguio ay sa pamamagitan ng jeep o taxi. Maaaring mahihirapan kang maghanap ng isang bakanteng taxi o sumakay ng jeep sa oras ng pagmamadali (bandang 6:30 ng umaga hanggang 8:30 ng umaga at 4:00 PM hanggang 9:00 PM).

MGA BAGONG BATAS AT REGULASYON:

- Magkaroon ng kamalayan sa mga bagong patakaran at regulasyon. Hindi pinapayagan ngayon na tumawid sa kalye / maglakad sa mga sidewalk habang ginagamit ang iyong mga gadget, hindi pinapayagan sa publiko ang pagpapakita ng pagmamahal (PDA), hindi rin pinapayagan ang pagmumura, at higit pa!

- Matatagpuan sa Benguet, ang Baguio ay may ilang mga kagiliw-giliw na kapitbahay. Narito ang isang listahan ng mga kahanga-hangang lugar upang suriin.

Itogon – Mt Ulap, and Mt Ugo

Atok – Northern Blossom, Mt Timbak, and the Sakura Park (Haight’s Place)

Tuba – Bencab Museum, Valleypoint Campsite, and Aran Cave

- Huwag magkalat. Mangyaring hawakan ang iyong basurahan hanggang sa makahanap ka ng basurahan. Kung nasa kalsada ka ng Session, hindi ka makakahanap ng basurahan maliban kung pumasok ka sa loob ng 7-Eleven.

Iwasan ang solong gamit na plastik

- Nagsisimula na ang Baguio ng pagbabawal sa solong gamit na plastik. Gayunpaman, mayroon pa ring mga tindahan na ibabalot ang kanilang mga produkto sa mga ito. Kaya siguraduhing dalhin ang iyong eco bag at sabihin na hindi sa solong-gamit na plastik.

Maging maalalahanin

- Bago ka pumunta sa Baguio, basahin ang tungkol sa mga tradisyon, kultura, relihiyon, at kaugalian ng lugar upang malaman mo kung ano ang nararapat at hindi naaangkop. Karamihan sa mga residente ng Baguio ay mga Igorot na tulad ko. At kadalasan maraming mga turista ang pumupunta sa Baguio na naghahanap ng mga Igorot na umaasang parang makakahanap sila ng isang pangkat ng mga tao na nasa likuran ng lipunan ngayon.

Mamili sa lokal

- Panatilihing buhay ang tradisyunal na mga Sining at suportahan ang mga lokal na artisano. Bumili sa kanila. At subukang huwag makipag-haggle, ang P20 ay tila maliit sa iyo ngunit malaki ang kahulugan nito sa kanila.

Palaging humingi ng pahintulot

- Siguraduhing humingi muna ng pahintulot pagdating sa pagkuha ng mga larawan o video lalo na pagdating sa mga bata.
