i know his shirt probably says im a pupper or something but im furiously imagining it says im a stripper because its infinitely funnier
(I've never been this close to doing an actual spit take).
No, it's a Dr Pepper ad campaign shirt, originally from the 70's.

It doesn't have any deeper meaning, I just happened to rewatch The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou earlier this week and Jeff Goldblum's character sports one while he's being held hostage by pirates, and it popped back into my mind when I was trying to come up with a silly graphic tee that Vasco might wear.

But I also fully endorse the "I'm a pupper" option.

Sex and Death: Chapter 5, Nightmares
Masterlist link
Chapter 5: Nightmares
CW: Graphic depiction of violence and death. Minors DNI
Through the wee hours of the morning, a blizzard raged on. The sickly yellow of the streetlights illuminated the torrent of white outside Noura's window, drawing flickering yellow contour lines of light over the otherwise dark room. She slept fitfully, dreaming first of Wallander screaming, which morphed into the deafening screams of dying women. In her nightmares, Noura's mind flicked through the stark details of crime scene photos: blood clotting on black hair, and the unseeing milky film over mahogany irises of dead women who once looked like her.
Noura awoke but was paralyzed in the darkness. The light and shadow from the window and the patterns of snow, now wavering like TV static, began to congeal into the shape of a shadowy man. She heard a rustle from somewhere in the apartment, and couldn't place where it came from, raising a panic inside of her. She had the overwhelming feeling that something was with her, something malignant. It's him. She thought. It's the killer. He's finally come for me. Noura screamed as the shadow came closer.
“Noura!” Magnus was gently shaking her from sleep paralysis to full wakefulness.
“Magnus!” she gasped out. She realized she was shaking. Her face was wet with tears and sweat.
He held her cheek, sitting beside her, “You were screaming.”
She took a few deep breaths and nodded, “Sorry...I'm so sorry Magnus... just nightmares...sleep paralysis.” His curls glowed like a halo in the half-light as he nodded sympathetically. He looked like an angel, she thought.
“Shhh. Shh. It's alright. You're alright, darling. I have those as well. I know they're terrible. These cases will do that to you.”
“I'm so sorry to wake you.”
“Don't worry about that. Hey...look at me. Take a deep breath...exhale longer than the inhale, okay? Like this...”
She met his aquatic eyes, shining through the darkness, matching his slow inhales and exhales as well as she could, staving off hyperventilation. When her breath settled, she sat up and threw her arms around him tightly. “God...Thank you, Magnus. I'm so afraid. I've been so afraid. Every time I go to sleep and it's this over and over...ever since...”
He rubbed comforting circles around her back as she nuzzled into his shoulder. He smelled lovely, like fresh laundry and woody cologne. The cotton of his tee shirt was soft and inviting to her skin. “I'm so glad you're here. Thank you for being here. I feel ridiculous...like a scared child.”
“Don't...please don't. Trust me. I understand,” he said emphatically. “It haunts me too.”
“How...how are you so strong? How do you cope with this all the time?”
He shrugged. “Acting with as much kindness as I can muster, stupid jokes, snarkiness, being an all-around endearing dumbass.”
She sniffed, then let out a little bark of wry laughter. He ran his lovely hand through the black silk of her hair before he settled his arm around her shoulders protectively. Magnus thought how beautiful she looked with her soft face silhouetted gracefully in the faint light. He had never seen fragility in her before today, but he saw it now, and didn't underestimate how special, how intimate that was.
“I...I don't mean to be weird, Magnus, but can you curl up with me here? I just...I don't want to be alone.”
“Not weird at all,” he said gently, soothing. “I was about to suggest the same thing.”
She hesitated, stumbling over the words a little. “It's not...I'm not trying to...”
“I know,” he said with a bemused half-smile. “I understand....come here.”

My HSR OC: Moon Jelly!!!
The OC lore that made my friends hate me/nsrs Moon Jelly is one of many victims of the IPC's greed, and our story starts on the lush aquatic planet of Akuatike (A-koo-a-tee-kuh), wherein lives a race of amphibious peoples, the Akuatikans. This people group is known for wit, kindness and generosity, which is what drew the IPC to them and their resources, one in particular, Iridescent Eaustone, a precious mineral only created under ideal circumstances, typically thousands of feet deep below surface level. This stone also happens to be a component in niche mechanical equipment, but it's main purpose is it's decorative value, as it is truly gorgeous. The IPC and the Akuatikans drew up a contract, where the IPC gets to take a certain amount of Iri-stone, and the Akuatikans are fairly reimbursed, but the IPC desired more and more and more, and eventually settled on colonizing the planet, so their resources are the corporation's, indiscriminately. This enraged the Akuatikans, as they had written up this agreement and stood by it for centuries, leading to 'The War of Rainbow Stone' This war, raging mostly near the surface, went unnoticed by people in deeper layers of the ocean, like Moon Jelly and his community. Moon Jelly had a small argument with his parents, and like he always did, he went to his cave to collect himself, and that's when he heard the worst noise a child can hear, the ear-shattering crash of a bomb falling nearby. Moon Jelly was rightfully startled and retreated further and further into his cave. After retreating to a secluded corner of his cave, he came across a small slug, unlike anything he's ever seen before, and being the bleeding heart he is, he picked it up. He was aiming to return it to the water, but as he picked it up, it began to glow bright blue, and fused itself to his chest, leaving a blue, broken heart shaped mark on his chest. What Moon Jelly had picked up was actually a 'Soul Parasite' a being that feeds on a body's joy, and puts said body in temporal stasis
Post fusion, Moon Jelly was a ball of emotion, he felt sad and angry and empty all at the same time. But amongst it all he felt something unknown to him, the feeling of power. and as this happened, another bomb was distantly heard, causing Moon Jelly to rush from the cave and towards the surface. He swam so quickly he had hardly noticed how all the fish stopped swimming and how the water became gray. When he breached the surface... that is when he registered what was really going on. A massacre of his people, his planet... his life. Moon Jelly felt such a crushing misery and anger at this as he trudged towards the agents, the sand squelching beneath him because of the saturation of blood. He didn't notice it, but the agents noticed the blue, watery aura surrounding him, and attempted to open fire, but their strength was sapped, and they were feeling... sad? They had no time to process this as Moon Jelly broke down, screaming and shouting and sobbing at the top of his lungs, and the blue aura spread, engulfing the agents, crushing them under Moon Jelly's misery. Unable to withstand the pressure, the agents used their last bit of strength to turn their guns to their heads and end their own lives. Moon Jelly felt horrible upon watching this, ending up convincing himself that the universe is a cold place, devoid of joy and love and walked the path of Nihility from there.

lily lily give me the pokemon i must know
ok ok so you are going to have a water type team because you feel like an aquatic person to me.
1. Poliwrath
Being a fighting game player, a fighting type Pokémon was of course necessary. Poliwrath is a fighting type that uses its big fists to destroy its enemies, different from the mythical Keldeo and the starter Quaquaval, and also it's a giant friend shaped buddy. I feel like you'd want one of those around.
2. Vaporeon
Being a dog girl, you require a dog Pokémon. Naturally, the water dog/fox/cat with a fish tail is what you get. Vaporeon also gives me major transgender vibes, as all eeveelutions do.
The dog aesthetics are not aaaas pronounced in it as in like, Jolteon or Sylveon, but... it still gives me some dog.
3. Azumarill
Being a giant wet beach ball bunny is like, enough explanation, but it's also a fairy type, making it fit even better (fairy is like. the resident "transgender" type. and the resident "girl" type. and the resident "silly" type. I think these words fit you decently well?)
Azumarill is firmly in the SILLY category of fairy types, giving you a lighthearted partner that has a buoy for a tail.
4. Starmie
It's like a starfish alien shuriken, and it has that giant red gem in its face that it shoots lasers out of. I feel like you need a "cool but wacky" Pokémon to complete your vibes. Starmie also happens to be mysterious, spectacular, and magical, so it fits pretty well I think.
5. Wugtrio
It looks like a fight stick tee hee hee hee hee hee.
Uh if you want more explanation, Wugtrio is three garden eels coming out of a rock. This is just like how the fight stick that I KNOW you use and have talked about before comes out of the controller.
So, uh, fight stick. Also it's pretty silly. I think I might be projecting again but like who doesn't like silly wormy guys.
6. Lumineon
Hi Lumineon :)
Lumineon is a very pretty flowy fish that gives off its own light and is just kind of very beautiful. I think this kind of pretty but not too serious aesthetic it gets from being a fish with butterfly wings fits you pretty well. Also it's an underrated Pokémon, and I like giving people some of the less popular Pokémon sometimes.
Ok, here's your team. I hope you like it (no take backs my decisions are final)

I have a fantasy religion that actually started as some small time aristocrat not wanting his exotic aquatic pet hobby taxed
So he built a religion out of it
And the one day Onion Butter the dwarf came along bc her parents said she needed to be a paladin for them to let her become an adventurer
And after some time she got paladin powers and this whole “religion” thing was a lot more real than he had ever thought it would be
I mean, he just wanted (and got) a cool club of tax free aquatic pet hobbyists, with their own facilities and a few extra rules and rituals to keep up the “religion” act
This guy doesn’t have a name bc all this was made as just part of Onion Butter the Dwarf Paladin’s silly backstory. But their “religion” has a name! It’s “The Holy Order of the Most High and Reverend Fish” their god is called “Ghoti” (ho-tee). Also Onion Butter is her adventurer name and her real name is Clove O’Garlic.
So anyway, I have a medieval fantasy guy who started what became a very real religion whose god exists and everything, just because he wanted to avoid taxes.
STOP assigning pre-modern characters the trait “would commit tax fraud” without understanding how hard tax fraud was back in the days when a tax collector would physically come to your estate and assess your sitch. Do you have any idea how easy kids these days have it? You can just claim a few fake deductions or lie on a form and be a tax criminal. Your ancestors and fantasy faves had to work for those pennies.

Look at this house. This house has no mortar so it can be collapsed or moved to avoid taxation. That’s the sort of innovation I need to be seeing before you can call anyone in a feudal society a tax fraudster. They need to be hiding warehouses of goods, shoving grandpa in the basement to dodge the censusman, starting small regional wars, fleeing their villages in a constant semi-nomadic race against the forces of government, registering twins as a single child, or putting their life on the line to sell blackmarket bread. Come back when you have some tax fraud I can respect, not just a guy who looks kind of sleazy and sometimes does paperwork.

This post may contain affiliate links, which means we may receive a commission if you purchase through our links. Please read our full disclosure here. This post breaks down the trending fisherman core aesthetic, showing you how to get the look with outfit ideas and clothing under $100. Are you ready to make a splash this spring? Dive into the fisherman core aesthetic, which is taking over this spring’s fashion landscape. Nautical-inspired clothing and accessories are this season’s hottest commodities, and in this trend guide, we’ll be breaking down exactly how to get the look for yourself. This aesthetic is all about taking inspiration from fishermen and the maritime culture of coastal regions like the Pacific Northwest and North Atlantic, which call for clothing that will withstand the elements (think rain jackets and boots) and are practical for aquatic adventures, infused with a dose of fashion and kitschy elements (think fun fish graphic prints) — because this is a trend, after all. The fisherman aesthetic was included in Pinterest Predicts 2025, a trend forecast that reported upticks in search terms like “cable knit sweater,” “fish bag,” and “raincoat outfit aesthetic,” all calling to mind the maritime culture of quaint fishing villages and their seafaring people. While there are some similarities to the popular coastal grandma aesthetic from a couple of years ago, the fisherman aesthetic is less preppy and more rugged: you’re not going to be tying a cable knit sweater around your shoulders; instead, you’ll be layering it over an oversized t-shirt or flannel. Even if you live nowhere near the water, you can still channel your inner fisherman (or fisherwoman) with this cozy, nautical trend. Elements of the Fisherman Core Aesthetic These are the key elements for achieving the fisherman core aesthetic: Fish and sea-related graphics and prints Nautical stripes (especially in navy blue or red) Utilitarian details Boat shoes Cable knit sweaters and other chunky knitwear Woven details, especially with accessories and shoes (straw bags, espadrilles, etc.) Loose-fitting pants Lots of layers Fishnet flats and jelly shoes Rain gear, including rain boots and raincoats Bucket hats Earth tones Natural fabrics like cotton and wool Now that we’ve covered the fisherman core basics, let’s get to the outfits! Fisherman Core Outfits: These fisherman core-inspired outfits are right on-trend and feature items under $100, so you can get the look without breaking the bank. Fisherman Core Outfit #1 Rugged meets girly with this fisherman core outfit that couldn’t be more perfect for the spring season. Start with a sturdy pair of rain boots, like these green Hunter mid-length rain boots, along with a matching waxy faux leather collared jacket. Rain and barn jackets are fisherman-approved pieces that are practical for misty or rainy weather, and ideal for the cool temperatures in early spring. The base of the outfit features an oversized olive green cable knit sweater worn with a white cotton poplin ruffled skort that adds a feminine, seasonal touch and balances out the more rugged, earth-toned pieces. Complete the look with a long, gold-tone lucky fish pendant necklace for a charming oceanic addition. Of course, you can always swap out the skort for some relaxed denim for a more rugged look. Fisherman Core Outfit #2 Nothing says nautical like blue and white stripes, and these loose-fitting striped wide-leg linen pants with a drawstring waist have the ultimate coastal vibe we are going for. For a laid-back daytime look, wear them with this adorable baby tee embroidered with beaded fish that puts a cute, modern spin on the fisherman look. Knots, ropes, lines, and the like are all essential elements of fishing, and this brightly colored knotted cord bracelet is a fashionable nod to this. Give the ensemble some street style flair with a pair of colorful low-top sneakers — these Reebok Club C Grounds sneakers add a trendy vibe while adding to the casual feel of the outfit. If you want to take it up a notch, throw on a cotton bucket hat for a playful (yet practical) touch. Fisherman Core Outfit #3 Products: Sweater, Shorts, Earrings, Boots, Bag Rainy spring weather will be no match for you in this cute, cozy fisherman core outfit. A pair of red and white gingham print shorts that are boxer-inspired will look effortlessly cool when worn with a chunky, oversized cream cable knit sweater and some tall red rain boots. L.L. Bean is known for its outdoorsy fashions, and the brand’s iconic canvas tote bags are a hallmark of coastal style. This ultra-functional tote bag, complete with a zip-top to keep your belongings secure, can be monogrammed and is created by expert stitchers in Maine, so it doesn’t get more legit than this! And while I never thought I’d be writing this, anchovies are one of the hottest motifs this season, and these gold anchovy earrings are an adorable way to incorporate them into the look. Fisherman Core Outfit #4 This easy, breezy look features nautical notes like classic stripes and leather boat shoes for a chic take on the fisherman aesthetic. Start with some white poplin barrel pants with a drawstring waist and cotton fabrication, along with a striped knit short-sleeve top that features classic, nautical stripes. This waxed jacket with a contrasting corduroy collar and cuffs has a rugged look and will keep you warm on chilly spring days. Boat shoes are totally back this season, and they are surprisingly versatile; this leather pair has a sleek look that will pair well with all sorts of bottoms, from jeans to shorts to these white barrel pants. Don’t forget about sea-inspired accessories like this charm bracelet with shells and other nautical charms, plus some rectangular sunglasses. Fisherman Core Outfit #5 Can we talk about how adorable this sleeveless crochet cardigan with crab motifs is?! It’s so eye-catching and fun and features a red and cream color palette that is absolutely on-point for this aesthetic. Pair it with some dark wash denim, like these sailor-inspired jeans with a wide leg and patch pockets. Woven details have a beachy, coastal vibe, and these low espadrille sandals with a fisherman upper and woven sole couldn’t be more perfect for achieving the fisherman core look — especially when worn with an anklet that has coastal charms, including a sailboat and anchor! I am obsessed with the mini version of L.L. Bean’s Boat and Tote bag, which is just the right size for holding your essentials and can be monogrammed for a personal touch. Finally, a cream crochet headband will complement the cardigan’s design and add a laid-back, boho feel to the ensemble. Fisherman Core Clothing Under $100: Denim Overalls Overalls are a fisherman favorite, so they are a must-have for achieving this aesthetic, and this neutral-colored pair with a loose, comfy fit couldn’t be a better choice — especially when styled with nautical stripes and rain boots, as shown above. Plus, they have a bunch of pockets, which is always a bonus! Sardine Graphic Print T-Shirt As I mentioned earlier, sardines are *the* trendiest motif of the season, which might seem random but makes sense given Fisherman Core’s rising popularity. Get in on the trend with this fun t-shirt featuring a sardine graphic print on the back with an oversized fit. Striped Wide-Leg Pants Blue and white stripes? Check. Utilitarian pockets and details? Check. Cotton fabrication? Check. These wide-leg pants have everything you need for the fisherman core look! A key distinction that separates this aesthetic from others such as the coastal grandma aesthetic, are utilitarian details that add a practicality to clothing. That is why the patch pockets and back buckle detail on these pants, combined with the nautical stripes, make these a perfect pick. Cable Knit Sweater If this chunky blue cable knit sweater doesn’t make you think of quaint seaside towns, sailboats, the scent of saltwater in the air… then I don’t know what could better convey the fisherman core aesthetic to you! This sweater has every element we are looking for, including a slouchy fit and a weathered, worn-in look that adds to its appeal and gives it an authentic vibe. It is beyond cozy and will surely become a favorite in your wardrobe. Fish Graphic Distressed Sweater Not only does this sweater feature a graphic fish print, but it has a distressed design that makes it look worn-in, the way an actual fisherman’s clothing might be. Its slouchy, oversized fit and intentional distressing create a lived-in look that adds character and ruggedness that the fisherman aesthetic is known for. Pink Lobster Sweater For those looking to put a girly spin on the fisherman core aesthetic, this sweater is for you. With a pink lobster design and matching pink striped cuffs, this sweater is too adorable for words. I love the way it looks when paired with striped pink drawstring pants, but it’ll look great with jeans or shorts, too. Striped Boat Neck Top Striped boatneck tops are a signature of maritime style worn by sailors, so of course you’ll want to stock up on these when putting together fisherman core looks. Opt for Breton stripes in either red, blue, or black for the most classic look — these never go out of style. Maine Lobster Roll Graphic Striped Ringer Baby Tee Lobster roll, anyone? I am obsessed with this graphic print striped baby tee featuring a Maine lobster roll (yum!) with a red, white, and blue color palette. Maine is where this fashion aesthetic takes a ton of inspiration from, so this tee couldn’t be more perfect. P.S. — this would also be a cute item to wear on the Fourth of July! Mariner Striped Shorts Mariner stripes aren’t just for tops — these mariner striped jersey shorts will give you a nautical look while keeping you comfy with their pull-on fit. Designed for boat rides, beaches, and beyond, these shorts are sure to get plenty of play in your wardrobe during the upcoming summer season. Lobster Graphic Pullover Get cozy in this oversized pullover top with a slouchy fit and a fun lobster graphic print for a coastal feel. The fisherman core aesthetic encourages us to embrace comfort, and this roomy top with a vintage, worn-in vibe is as comfy as it gets. Knit Crab Tank Top We can’t forget about other crustaceans — crabs are just as cute as lobsters when it comes to maritime prints. This knit tank top features an eye-catching crab motif, along with red contrast stitching for a kitschy look. It also comes in a sardine print and a lobster print, giving you plenty of fisherman core favorites to pick from. Fisherman Core Accessories & Shoes Under $100: Take your fisherman core outfits to the next level with the perfect accessories and shoes under $100. Short Rain Boots Rain boots are the #1 shoe for the fisherman aesthetic, and it’s a shoe we could all use in our wardrobe anyways (especially if you live somewhere that gets rainfall). These Chelsea-style Barbour rain wellies are going to keep your feet nice and dry, while their short shaft length makes them ultra-versatile; you can easily pair these with jeans, skirts, dresses, and more. They also look adorable when worn with chunky high socks, as shown above. Layered Nautical Charm Necklace Carry the spirit of the ocean with you in the form of this layered charm necklace featuring nautical charms. With a fish, starfish, and a lustrous pearl, the necklace’s ocean-inspired symbolism is perfect for adding to your fisherman core ‘fits. Knit Fish Bag Charm How adorable is this knit fish bag charm?! Available in two different fish designs to choose from, it’s the cutest way to add personality to your handbags and make them fisherman core-friendly. Bag charms have been another big trend this season, so this fish charm combines two trends in one fun item. Sperry Boat Shoes If you’re going to wear boat shoes, you may as well get a pair by Sperry, the New England company that started it all. These shoes are sewn by hand and crafted using premium materials like leather, featuring an iconic design that can take you from a boat to the city streets with ease. You can wear boat shoes in the spring, summer, and fall, making them very versatile, and they’ll look just as good (if not better) once you’ve worn them in. Beaded Sardine Shoulder Bag Fisherman core, but make it fancy. This intricately beaded shoulder bag features an adorable sardine print in shades of blue that gives it an iridescent look that is captivating! If you want to take your fisherman core looks from day to night, this bag is the ultimate accessory to fancy them up — plus, it is a total conversation piece. Be prepared for plenty of compliments and remarks on this kitchy and unique bag. Lobster Charm Bracelet This insanely cute charm bracelet sums up the fisherman core aesthetic with its lobster claw, sardines, sailboat, and shell charms, perfectly capturing the coastal vibe we are after. It will add nautical charm to all of your outfits, and its dangly design makes it fun to wear. Fish Pattern Hair Clip When accessorizing your fisherman core outfits, don’t forget about your hair! You can embrace the fisherman aesthetic from head to toe (literally) with this adorable blue hair clip that features a cute aquatic scene complete with fish and rhinestones, which add a hint of glam. This claw clip makes it quick and easy to style your hair, and is a fun way to make a statement. It also comes in a few other colors like green and purple, any of which will look cute throughout the spring and summer.
