I’ve been meaning to tell the story of how I recently obtained my Isaac Yankem figure from the elite flashback line. I don’t see myself as a collector of figures but I ended being gifted a couple of Kane and Undie figures and things took off from there. I also found the Stone Cold and Kane championship set at what was essentially a swap meet for cheap.

So, I was out of town at a mall with my friend and we decided to check out a vintage toys/sports/wrestling place I’ve never been to before (you know the kind of joint) and I was looking at the pro wrestling illustrated magazines that they had to find some articles I’ve been wanting to read from the 90s.

Anyways , I wander around the store and I find a “protected” display of more expensive items. I look up and I saw him!

A signed - as Kane , mint condition Isaac Yankem figure in his box !🤩🤩🤩

If you’ve been following my page for a while you know I am not normal about Isaac Yankem. I love him so much. So yeah…. He was coming home with me no matter what.

I was trying my best not to freak out in the store bc I was for a lack of better words fangirling silently, turning red etc. and the people working the counter told me I was a true fan bc they knew how rare an Isaac Yankem fan was or even knew who he was 💀 .I just have hyper fixations I wouldn’t call myself a hard core fan but they don’t need to know that LMAO.

So anyways …. It turns out the owners of that store owned a local wrestling company that was starting up and since I was “a diehard wrestling fan” they gave me and my friend a tour of the ring/performance area!

Pretty interesting day to say the least !

Here is the boy the day I got him. I blocked out the price on the sticker , didn’t feel right showing it, even thought it was pretty cheap considering what this is. 💀 I am normally very frugal.

I have since carefully released him from his packing so I can set up scenes with my figures and make my for a lack of a better term, “Kane shrine” more visually appealing.

summary: peter visits you in the hospital! writing this for my fellow sick kids out there bc i'm in the hospital a lot and need this. to any of my chronically ill babes out there, i love u, keep fighting! and i love everyone!

warnings: hospitals, mentions of blood and needles, gtubes, ox tubes, overall fluff 1.2k+ words

peter was currently in the elevator headed to your floor in a NYC children's hospital. it was a bit far from his apartment in queens, but he would go miles to see you, especially when you were sicker than normal.

he carried a bouquet of fake flowers he got from a craft shop, because he knew real ones affected your allergies and ability to breathe. he wanted you to be happy and see that beautiful smile of yours, even if it was from fake flowers. and he even stopped in the cafeteria to get you and him cups of hot chocolate, a great replacement for your beloved coffee you oh so missed. (yes, us heart failure patients cannot even have decaf coffee! ever since my several heart disease diagnosis, i have left coffee behind and was given a hot chocolate replacement)

once he got off the elevator, he smiled, saying hi to the nurses at the nurse station and heading to your room. peter was obviously a frequented visitor and many nurses and a few doctors knew him by name.

upon reaching your door, he looked in the window to see you laying in bed watching tv. you had comfy pyjamas on and spider-man socks peter got you a few weeks ago. you had bags under your eyes and bruises on your arms from needle upon needle and IVs. you also had a grey beanie on, one that was peter's that he left here accidentally. it looked great on you.

he tapped the door with his foot to get your attention. you turned your head over slowly, expecting your nurse, but immediately peeled up when you saw peter. you smiled and waved for him to come in. he pushed the door open and set the flowers and hot cocoa on your tray table. (bruh i've run a tray table over my foot ONE TOO MANY TIMES)

"hi y/n/n," he said, calling you your favorite nickname.

"hi peter!" you said, reaching out to hug him.

he embraced you in a long and warm hug before smiling and motioned to your table, "i got you some goodies!"

"ooo what did ya get me?"

he picked up the fake flowers first, handing the neat bouquet to you.

"they are fake of course, because, ya know," he motioned to your nasal cannula, "your allergies make you breathe bad."

you laughed, adjusting the tube behind your ear, "yes, yes they do."

"andddd," he began before picking up the hot cocoa, "hot cocoa!"

"yay! gimme!"

he handed you a cup, brushing your fingers in the process.

"thank you peter," you said before taking a sip, "gosh this hospital hot chocolate hits different."

"of course, anything for you."

you smiled, both sipping your drinks.

"so, i'm gonna ask the dreaded question because that's who i am, how are you feeling today? physically? mentally? emotionally?"

you sighed, "well i had severe hypotension at 2 am and have been awake since, getting filled with meds while almost passing out isn't fun. oh and my iv is being annoying and keeps getting in the way as usual."

you pointed to the sticker and the long tube that was all over your room.

"geez i'm sorry," peter said sincerely.

"but hey," you lifted up your shirt a little bit to show your stomach, "g tube is removed!"

"yay!" peter literally screamed causing you to laugh. he knew how much you hated that darn g tube.

"but mentally and emotionally i'm doing...okay. better now that you're here."

"i'm glad," he smiled.

you took a big gulp of your steaming cocoa then started having a coughing attack because sometimes you forget to breathe when drinking.

peter stood up, rubbing your back, "you okay?"

you finished coughing and cleared your throat, giving him a thumbs up.

"yes now get in bed and cuddle with me," you demanded and adjusted the bed to yours and his liking.

"okay."

peter crawled into bed with you after kicking off his sneakers.

"watch out for my oxygen, don't wanna sit on it and make me stop breathing."

"oh my gosh," peter said shocked, he was always careful, "dont say stuff like that! you're concerning me."

you laughed, "i'm joking i'm joking! it wasn't even near your butt anyways."

you cuddled up into peter's side and watched tv together for awhile. he eventually put his arm around you which caused your heart rate to soar, sending a loud sound from your monitor and in game your nurse.

"oh gosh," you groaned.

"you okay y/n-" your nurse asked before seeing you and peter, "ooo sorry kids, hi peter."

"hi meg."

"your heart rate went up, just checking in."

"i'm fine meg, thanks," you said blushing and gesturing over to peter cuddled up with you.

"ah, i see. call me if you need me."

you waved.

peter spent the rest of the day with you, migrating from your room to the craft area, to the outside lookout. he pushed you around in a wheelchair when you felt too tired or weak. he fixed your sweater when it got caught around a tube or two. he laughed with you. and he hugged you. a lot. it seemed like stuff someone who loved you did, not just a best friend. you wondered if he liked you back. but how could he like a sick kid? you were gonna be in the hospital for awhile. he couldn't get used to that.

but oh, how he could and would. because he loved you. sick kid or not.

time was ticking towards ten pm. the time they usually kicked peter out even though visiting hours ended at eight pm. he rubbed your arm and fixed your beanie before getting out of bed.

you grabbed onto his arm, "stay?"

peter sighed and smiled sadly, "you know i cant. they kick me out at ten."

"lemme just ask meg, she won't mind if-"

"y/n, it's okay. i'll be back first thing in the morning."

"you will?"

"of course i will," he smiled, causing you to grin.

you yawned sleepily. you only stayed up this late when peter was here. usually you'd be out like a light by 7:30 or 8. but you managed when he was around.

you were still holding his hand at this point, his thumb rubbing across yours.

"love you," you whispered.

"i love you too," he whispered back.

he hesitated, then kissed you softly on the cheek.

"see you in the morning y/n/n."

"see you, pete."

he let go of your hand walking to the door before using some hand sanitizer and smiling at you.

"bye."

you smiled at him, blushing, while he left. he closed the door behind him. he peeked thru the little window on the door and blew you a kiss. you caught it and laughed. he laughed too. you waved again, and he walked away.

minutes later, you were out like a light, dreaming about that boy.

meanwhile, peter was on the phone with may, "yeah i'm on my way home...i'll be careful...ha yeah, yeah i do. i really love her."

arpu, how can we connect to our intuition? i know some say "meditate" but my mind is not calm and my butt itches most of the time. i cant stay still

this is actually perfect timing because I’m feeling the same way so helping you is also going to help myself 🌞✊🏽divine timing fr ✨

okay the goal is to get your mind to stop double checking every thought you have. we’re wired to check the veracity of our thoughts and discard ‘nonsense’ that comes from ‘nowhere.’ the subconscious mind kills it before we’re even aware of it. it goes back to the renaissance/age of reason where the scientific method (that was developed largely by muslim/arab scholars btw!) was heralded and factuality became an important component of clear, rational, logical, good thinking. it’s what you’re taught in school now and what is prized in technological societies.

so, we need to let the brain know it’s okay (and encouraged!) to have thoughts where the source of origin is unimportant. fun story: I accidentally did this when I read Einstein didn’t remember anything that could be looked up. this integrated itself into my worldview very deeply very quickly and I found myself remembering only interesting things without remembering or caring what the source was. didn’t help when I couldn’t pull stats out of my ass while arguing with someone, but did wonders for my intuition.

we can do this through repetitive activities where conscious thinking becomes irrelevant and/or you assign importance to ‘nonsense’ thoughts. this is the core of meditation too if you think about it – its about focusing on a single thing and acknowledging thoughts but not involving yourself in them. these activities will calm your mind in a similar way to meditation and also help your restless ass lol

morning pages!!  I personally do this and I love it, it’s helped me grow immensely, I highly recommend it. when you write down every single thing in your head and just empty it out without stopping to consider its worthiness, you are telling your brain every thought is equally important and more of the subconscious intuition comes through to the surface.

random associations!!!!! let your mind wander

pacing! I do this a lot, there’s an origin story if you’re interested lol but the main idea is this: put on music you’ve never heard before and walk really fast and/or run till you can’t think bc you’re barely able to breathe. focus on the music and let your mind wander and go wherever the music takes it. soon thoughts that are completely unrelated will pop up and though they really are nonsense in the beginning, keep encouraging it and u can tell when they eventually have truth to them

dancing! focus on nothing but the music and go crazy. doesn’t matter what kind but fast paced usually works better. don’t think about how to dance, think about it as the music controlling your body! you stop thinking and in that space, u can listen to the under-thoughts that usually go unnoticed

tbh, any activity u enjoy that takes up a lot of your focus + peripheral wandering thoughts. gardening! cutting 1000 stickers by hand! copying a textbook so u study and develop your intuition at the same time! there’s a lot of ways to integrate it into your daily life once u know what it feels like. this is pseudo meditation too btw. 

overthink!!!!!!!!!! I loved doing this as I drove to uni every day lol. i’m not saying to distract yourself while driving! safety is most important!! but after the 100th time I drove the same route, I became a pro at it and my lizard brain took over. it didn’t need my thinking brain to drive. so I thought and thought uncontrollably and my thoughts got more nonsensical and irrelevant and there was no connection and like I said before, they were ridiculous at first. just my fears coming through. but then they started having truth to them and I started getting information about the universe and our purpose etc. etc. I think I had the most breakthrough intuitions while I was in that daze. I could predict things really accurately, it was spooky. I recommend this but its a double edged sword bc overthinking doesn’t help have a happy, healthy life. use it as a stepping stone and don’t! drive!! while u do it. pace instead or pour it into a private tumblr.

also! give importance to these random associations/thoughts! document them or record them however you can. write them down, text it to yourself. this tells your brain they’re valuable and encourages their production

dream journal!! do it first thing as soon as u wake up. and within a week or so you can reliably remember a loooooot of what happens and it also helps lucid dreaming actually. since dreams are nonsense anyway, repeated action tells the brain to encourage these types of thoughts and voila! intuition developed in daily life!

you have to Want it! your intentions create another layer of under-wiring in your brain that grows stronger with use and influences the overall synaptic network esp. the parts that control which thoughts are important and not. so start being curious! let things like trying to make predictions and having super powers take up space in your brain! try and guess things before they happen or guess what random strangers are about to do or predict the score you’ll get on a test. the more you do it, the more u tell your brain this is an Important Activity and then it builds the required ‘code’ to make that function run better. you’ll be completely off in the beginning but then slowly your success rate will climb.

like anything in life, you’ll get a lot better with practice. even if what i’m saying sounds like nonsense rn, try it a few times and you’ll see what I mean. btw, you don’t have to stick to a single method!! switch them around, everything counts as +1. you aren’t starting from zero with every new technique.

these should be enough for you to get a head start! if none of them work, let me know a bit about yourself and I can probably come up with more methods custom made for you~

edit – special anon message for you: For meditation anon: There's a common misconception that meditation requires you to "quiet your mind" and disallow it to wonder, but really, it's more about getting into a flow state where you allow your thoughts to come and go with ease. It's mindfulness more than anything imo, acknowledging the thoughts but bringing yourself to a point where you aren't questioning/over-analyzing and thus reacting emotionally to them (like you ordinarily would throughout the day). It's okay to get distracted by your external environment or physical sensations, because you definitely WILL as a beginner, and still at times even if you're more advanced. It all comes down to practice, and the point is to train your mind, so any time you lose focus - Don't let it discourage you. Let it be a teacher of sorts. Refocus and try again. As you progress, you'll be less likely to get out of focus. Sitting isn't for everyone, definitely try things Arp mentioned, like walking!

rangerstop 2019 memories

every convention i think “it can’t get better than this” and then every convention it DOES!!! anyway this was the year of #brodysbitches click the read more to check out all the good times we had:

so first of all we all got a booth! and by “we all” i mean abbey @kimberlyannharts​ and ben @brodyromero​ to sell their art, it was called super mega art and it was super mega fun! we all hung out there a lot but we also walked around to meet the rangers and lot of them stopped by to hang out with us too which was so sweet :’)

carla perez / rita repulsa, mmpr

carla is literally the nicest warmest person in the world i’m ready to lay down my life for her! she exudes fun mom energy and she’s so pretty and she was so happy to talk with us about rita, i think we visited her booth pretty much every day and also said hi every time she passed by our booth

we told her that we loved rita and stan villainesses!! and she loved it! and that we loved her portrayal of rita as more fun and childish and full of energy and she said yeah, the directors asked her to take rita in a new direction when she was cast while still staying true to who rita was so she decided to make rita more childish and fun with the sticking out her tongue and everything and we told her it was perfect bc rita with her tongue out is literally iconic

tabby asked how she felt about rita turning good and she said she liked it bc she got to be on screen without all the rita makeup/wardrobe but she also loved playing evil rita! i asked her if she heard about thrax and she was like OH YEAH I HEARD THEY GAVE US A SON but she definitely had not watched it (respect) and we were trying to figure out how thrax could exist and we collectively decided (mostly tabby and carla) that thrax was adopted and rita and zedd were trying to turn him good, which she loved

tabby showed her the mean girls video and she fucking loved it so much!!! she was SO impressed by how tabby manipped rita and tommy making out and she went around telling everybody “she made me kiss jdf!!” which was sooo cute and when abbey and i went to see her on our own and i was like “i heard you saw the mean girls video” she said “i did!! she’s so cute and talented!” about tabby, we love a tabby thunderpunks stan!!

we went to get a video message from her and melody for kels (cassiechans on twitter) because kels is the og villainess stan and they were so excited and REHEARSED what they were gonna say (we just asked them to do “the voice” and say “live fast die young bad girls do it well”, they came up with everything else!) and here they are, aren’t they the literal cutest things on the planet?!?!

she loved abbey’s zedd/rita design and wanted a shirt but we didn’t have her size so she told abbey to dm her when her online store is open!!!! she also signed my zedd/rita print with “bad girls do it well” bc i asked and i would DIE FOR HER

catherine sutherland / kat hillard, mmpr/zeo/turbo pink

so the first night we get to the hotel, tabby tells me to close my eyes and come over and she hands me A PINK ZEO RANGER FUNKO POP, custom made by jalenv515 on instagram (check his stuff out!) and i lost my mind because its SO good and it’s my girl and i love it and tabby and katherine so much <3 the guy who made it asked her to ask me to get a pic with it so ofc i had to do that and show catherine 

she definitely did not remember us from the last two cons we saw her at but you know what i respect that! queen of being too popular to remember faces (brennan mejia take notes) but i think she did remember me after this time :’)

i said “so tabby actually got me this as a gift because i literally love kat hillard so much she is my entire soul” and she was SO touched and delighted to see the funko pop she was like “oh my god this is so cool!” and i was like, she’s going on the center of my power rangers shrine for reals

we asked her which season she liked better for kat and she said zeo but me and tabby were like “no, turbo rights only” and listed off the amazing kat episodes in turbo and she agreed with us that the episode with the ballerina and the weight gain episode were so good! i think she says zeo automatically bc it’s her only full season and dudebros love it so she was probably surprised that we were like fuck zeo lives turbo is skinny but... turbo IS skinny :)

i asked if she read soul of the dragon and she said she did! and i said it was the only comic i read bc i have to read everything kat is in and she laughed and she said she liked it and i said i loved that kat and tommy were a partnership but i was mad kat didn’t get to morph! and she was like “i know! but it has to be all about tommy as ALWAYS” with an EYE ROLL and me and tabby were ascending THE SHADE...I LOVE HER SO MUCH

we took a pic with her holding the funko pop and then i posted the pic on instagram w/ a cheesy caption of how much i love kat and she commented “aww you are too sweet” with a pink heart emoji... my actual mother who raised me

AND THEN at the end of the last day when we were standing around waiting to say goodbyes, she was heading out and we all started saying GOODBYE QUEEN and she stopped when she saw me and said she loved the pic and the pop on instagram!!!! she remembered me!!!!! and i told her the guy who made them was really happy she liked it and he’s working on more kat pops including unmorphed kat and turbo kat and she was so thrilled!!

so because the originals are kinda super overpriced we do not get pics w/ most of them ever dfgjkdfd IM SORRY NAKIA I <3 YOU FOREVER but she looked so beautiful in all her outfits this con im gay

but anyway i was walking around the con by myself in my yellow shirt and i passed her booth and said hi and she said she liked my shirt!! and i was like thank you its for the yellow ranger culture

she was selling these rangers as infinity war t-shirts and i asked if she designed them and she said she did!! they were so cool i almost bought one but deadass i had no fucking room left in my luggage lmao

anyway her handler was looking at me and he goes “aren’t there like..... three of you?” and im like yeah they’re not here rn but we are codependent so i cant buy anything without them dfhgkfhd and hes like “yeah i worked other cons and i remember seeing y’all as a unit” which dfhjgkdfhgd HE WAS NOT THE ONLY HANDLER TO REMEMBER US SPECIFICALLY and i said “ur right we cant function without each other” and nakia was like “aww i love that” queen of supporting our codependent dumbasses!!

melody perkins / astronema, karone, lost galaxy pink

she is soooo nice she has this high-pitched voice it’s so sweet i always feel so soothed whenever she speaks near me she is also so pretty!! 

the others talked to her without me on day 1 and melody said she liked astronema’s purple wig best and didn’t like the white wig w/ the black things in it bc they kept getting in her way, and she loved karone’s outfit because it was easier to fight in

i went with abbey to drop off her astronema doodle for melody and she loved it!! shes so cuuuute

she was so excited to do the video message for kels and it was so adorable when she messed up the first time (live fast die well bad girls do it young!) lmaoo and we showed her kels’ reaction later and she was so flattered!! she also looks so cute in her reading glasses and she LOVED the mean girls video too!!!!!!!

we told her that we hosted a villainess appreciation week online and so many people picked astronema as their faves and she was so touched <3 a literal angel sent from heaven

ann marie crouch / princess shayla, wild force

only there saturday and sunday, limited edition queen! we met her on saturday so kat could get her fanart from gazbot signed and she was ofc in her princess shayla dress and looked soooo pretty

she was so impressed by gazbot’s art that she asked we take him over to her booth and we were all like OKAY PRINCESS COMING THROUGH MAKE WAY FOR THE PRINCESS and took her over to meet him and he was so happy and she was also happy and it was just so nice.... god i love ranger cons! everyone loves power rangers! its the dream!

and then after that we took her to our booth bc it was just two away from gazbot’s and she loved it everyone always loves ben and abbey’s art bc its the greatest in the world :’)

glenn mcmillan / dustin brooks, ninja storm yellow

first of all, ben abbey and i saw him passing by while we were having dinner at gatorville and we all GASPED and he noticed and grinned and waved at us while he was walking by.... an angel literally an angel

he’s so cute and sweet! he wore his yellow shirt w/ dustin’s logo on it all three days, king of branding

i got abbey’s dustin sticker signed by him and she gave him one of his own and he loved itttt

tabby asked him about his role in zenon z3 and you could tell his brain was processing loading while he tried to rmr what the fuck that movie was but he got into it and actually answered her questions about it, it was so sweet

i overheard him telling another fan he was trying to get “sally and the others” to morphicon for a reunion!!!!!!!!!!!!!! come to pmc next september pasadena california to see if he succeeds

john tui / doggie cruger, spd shadow, daggeron, solaris knight

LITERALLY THE STAR ATTRACTION every time we passed by his booth his line was a mile long, meanwhile all the originals’ booths right across from him were like [crickets chirping] it was so funny lmao

so we only got to see him on the last day bc his line was so long and nobody wanted to stand in it but tabby wanted to meet him! and then she got scared and almost walked away but a really nice girl (i think part of chris khayman lee’s team??) stopped her and was like THIS IS UR MOMENT and it was!!!

he is literally so sweet and handsome and cuddly he’s just a big teddy bear and he’s soooo charming and nice, he was wearing a manbun and like a full suit w/ a dress shirt, absolutely flexing on all the other boys in their t-shirts and jeans

tabby asked if he would do a pose holding her hand like he’s about to kiss it and he laughed and was like “okay but don’t show my wife!!” loyal king

he also hugged her twice hes so cuddly!! and we asked him about his other roles (he was in solo!) and he said he really enjoys expanding his filmography and stuff but power rangers is close to his heart and he also really likes doing parts that his kids can watch... it was the cutest thing

and we said how cool it was to see him represent his culture and he said he loved that too ugh rangers of color only valid rangers tbhonest honestly

ok so firass is really hot and at one point he stopped by our table (bc richard called him over to look at abbey’s nick and fireheart print) and he was really nice but he’s. he’s so hot. we did not go to his table all weekend bc we were so intimidated hfdghfgd so thats why he doesnt get a section. but i do still love him i just cant speak w/ him or my brain will turn to jello probably

nic also won’t get a section bc i didnt really interact w/ him much but he stopped by the table twice to talk w/ abbey he loved her and her art!! chip squared!! he ranted about how hard it was to say fireheart in an american accent for all of them it sounded cute go talk to abbey for more details

anyway back to richard: somehow we just attract green rangers like bees to honey and idk why but i’m not complaining he’s so nice and handsome and funny! and he just LOVED talking with us like we stopped by his table every day and i dont think we even talked about mystic force or anything in particular, we were just chatting and he just loved it and like never wanted us to leave basically

i did ask him a question about xander’s personality and he legit went “uhh idk” and then started talking about himself???? KING OF NOT KNOWING SHIT ABOUT HIS OWN CHARACTER love that for him bc i also dont know shit about xander

he stopped by the table a couple times (well mostly we yelled HEY RICHARD and he came over) and he was so sweet and also when we told him we didn’t have xander art at our booth he jokingly rolled his eyes and said “of course” but then ben and abbey both doodled xander and came over to show him and he was SO TOUCHED 

he hugged us all goodbye individually and then at the end we were waiting to say goodbye to aljin, richard was leaving his booth and abbey waved at him and his eyes LIT UP and he switched course to walk over to us and say goodbye again!!!! he loves us and i love him so much!!!

he was having so much fun talking to us that at one point a random dudebro came up and brennan was around the booth and we were like “oh did you wanna buy something” and dudebro was like “no i just wanted to show them my comic” which literally was just an mmpr comic and he wasn’t even paying for anything what the fuck?? and will took one look at him and his comic and went “uh one second man” and turned back to us and completely ignored him until he went away and we all DIED laughing i love him SO much (sorry to brennan for leaving him w/ the dudebro lol)

at some point he was talking about other actors that he’s met and i asked if he’s seen other seasons and he made the :grimace: emoji and was like no and i was like good keep it that way ninja steel is the only season :) and he started laughing and was like COME OVER HERE AND HUG ME i could stay wrapped in his arms forever tbh

at one point he was talking about how jordi was shirtless a lot and had big boobs (his words) and i said, on instinct, “tits out for ninja steel” and he goes what?? and asked me to repeat it and i had a brief moment of panic but i did repeat “tits out for ninja steel” thru my giggles and he burst into laughter again dfhjkgdfd TO BE CLEAR i should not have said that pls dont say that to actors’ faces he so easily could’ve made it uncomfortable or creepy (some actors...not mentioned in this post...are fucking creepy) but he didnt bc hes an angel so i guess its fine

every time we were hovering around brennan’s table on day 3 tabby says will kept looking over in our direction i think he missed us bc we were actually fun to talk to and not fucking dudebros trying to tell him the plots of seasons he does not give a shit about bc he wasnt in them (literally u do not need to explain the plot of dino thunder to actors who were not in dino thunder, pls calm down) and also bc he loves us :)

we all went in to save him from a dudebro at one point by just asking him random questions and the dudebro KEPT HOVERING like trying to be in the conversation as if we were FRIENDS with him (dont do this unless ur paying the actor for his time!!! he wasn’t even buying anything he was like “i’m just here to talk” bitch get his autograph or GO) and the dudebro tried to flex on us by being like “oh were you guys at th power morphicon with the yoshi and peter hug” and tabby got confused (bc we were at the next pmc and said yes) and kat just lied and said yes bc she hates dudebros and ben (the only truthful person) said no and abbey said yes and then will turned his head all the way around to me on the side and was like “were you there?” and i mean... i wasnt....but he wouldnt stop looking at me WHAT WAS I GONNA DO, DISAPPOINT HIM? so i said yes :) 

after the dudebro FINALLY fucking left kat was like “oh thank god we can leave now” and will was so confused until he realized “were you guys just trying to save me from talking to him” and he laughed and was so touched he was like “thank you guys you can see how my face just goes dead when they talk to me” dfhgjkdfg and we were like literally send up the bat signal any time you need us to save you and he said we were the best people to talk to the whole con and he loved ussss

at one point we were talking about indian rep in power rangers and he looks at ME and goes “so what do you think of jazz as desi rep” and idk will what am i supposed to think when you’re staring into my soul??? i said he was cool and i liked ravi but he wasn’t red and i’m red ranger ride or die so :) i just love brody romero so fucking much idk what else i was supposed to say.... ur literally ingrained in my soul william NOBODY ELSE CAN COME CLOSE

i asked “how much money do i have to pay to get you to arm wrestle brennan for me” and he was like “i dont know if there’s enough money in the world but you can ask brennan” and i called brennan over like “brennan will you please arm wrestle will for me” and he DID and it was so fun they were having such a good time, in the second round we all started chanting NINJA STEEL NINJA STEEL and you can see brennan getting shook by that for a second and then later will told us he appreciated our chanting so much and we were like yeah man, ninja steel FOREVER anyway here are the videos: one and two :) (they did not make me pay for it, generous kings)

phew ok i think that’s pretty much everything??? we also made a lot of cool friends w/ artists and stuff!! we talked to gazbot a lot and that was super fun, the girls next to our booth made custom power rangers pillows and they were really cool! i think kat, tabby, and ben all bought pillows from them they were really soft and cute, we talked to ceevee a lot (he actually gave me his extra exhibitor badge bc his brother couuldnt make it and then a different artist saw my badge saying “ceevee illustrations” and gave me a sticker for free because “you work for chris and he’s awesome” dfhgjdfhd i went back and paid him tho bc you dont take free shit from artists, kids! pay them for their work!) spent a lot of time yelling (nicely) at ceevee to make a poppy pin and he said he would bump it up the list for me :)

He had Cheddar on his lap and both of their eyes were closed. “Is Terry interrupting something?” Kevin opened his eyes but Cheddar’s remained closed though his tail began wagging. “Oh, Jeffords. Welcome. To the pity party.”“What’s wrong? Was it the ice sculpture of you that Jake broke the head off of?”“No.”“Was it that Charles’ meal was entirely fish based?”“Oh no I didn’t eat any of that. They have a lot of fun at the party and at the end of the night they make some very casual mention of the fact that they’re happy about deciding to renew their vows and everyone’s like “WHAT!?? Midoriya was exhausted. As it turns out, breaking your bones multiple times in a fight only feels alright when you’re on an adrenaline high, and actually hurts way too much immediately afterward. So when an unfamiliar person holding a clipboard scurried into the infirmary and sidled up to his bed, he felt a little out of it and very confused.

“Um, Midoriya Izuku?”

He blinked, slowly. Did he actually know you? “Er, yes?”

You seemed relieved. He looked pretty dead, so his response must have been good to hear. “I’m [Name], from class 1-G.” The business course, Midoriya thought to himself. That’s why he didn’t recognize you. You forged onwards, the confidence of an entrepreneur painting your words. “While I have been familiar with you for some time, this festival is the first time I’ve seen you go up against another person. You were an impressive force, despite your loss.”

Midoriya realized what this must have been about. He’d overheard some upperclassmen talking about how business course students tried to become agents for hero students, and they usually started after the festival. Midoriya suddenly felt very nervous.

His eyes drifted to follow your motions, failing to notice how hard you were blushing. “What… what are you here for, then?”

“I like you!” You blurted, having lost any semblance of the composure you had when you’d first entered the infirmary. “I think you’re really cool! Even though you lost your last fight it was really impressive and you’re really cute and I like you!!”

If Midoriya’s face was warm before, now it was comparable to Todoroki’s newfound flames (which, at this point, Midoriya was starting to feel the aftermath of). A strangled noise came out of him while he did everything in his power to avoid eye contact with you, but you maintained your gaze with all the power of any top hero. You were frazzled and still messing with your shirt, but your voice did not waver when you spoke next.

“So that’s my pitch. What do you think, Midoriya?”

Iida knew that the Sports Festival was going to be a day of intense competition, strong wills, and strenuous physical activity. What Iida didn’t know about that day was that he was going to go from top of the world to rock bottom in a matter of hours.

It was after the obstacle race that you approached him, powerwalking in a way that almost reminded him of himself. You caught him mid-orange-juice, but he glanced toward you while taking a swig to indicate that he’d listen to whatever you had to say. When you opened your mouth to speak, though, he was totally unprepared for your words.

“My name’s [Name] from the business course, class 1-G, and I think you’re really hot!”

Iida thought spit takes only happened in the movies, but the orange juice painting the air in front of him proved otherwise. Really he was just thankful you’d been standing to his side. “I-I beg your pardon?!”

Despite his horrible display of rudeness, you kept speaking to him with zeal. “Honestly, I’ve thought you were interesting since the Emergency Exit incident, but the race really cemented it for me. You’re really cool! I want to get to know you better, even if you don’t feel as strongly for me! Does that sound like something you’d be interested in?”

His hands felt clammy. Iida didn’t have much experience with confessions, but here you were, staring at him eagerly. You were direct, interested in him, and, Iida admitted to himself, very attractive. Finally, Iida mustered up the words that he wanted to say next.

“I-If that’s the case, then would you like to attend a movie with me this weekend? The theater by the station is showing an American Hero film, if you’d like to see it.”

Your eyes lit up, but before you could respond, Midnight’s voice came over the loudspeaker, summoning all qualifying students to the field for the next task. Iida looked back at you hesitantly, but you waved him off.

“I’ll come find you afterwards and give you my phone number. You have a festival to win!”

Iida turned pink at the thought of you giving him your phone number. “Y-Yeah!!”

It was after the Battle Royale that Iida got a call from his mother, filling his heart with fear and grief. He left the Sports Festival early, and sprinted to the hospital where his brother lay, injured and barely conscious.

Iida did not get your phone number that day.

Iida had hit rock bottom.

It was immediately after getting a new shirt that Todoroki noticed you, idling in the hall and mumbling to yourself. He paid it no mind, instead focusing on his hands as he walked past you, checking for signs of burns or frostbite. But your voice, loud and clear like a bell, stopped him in his tracks.

“Wait!”

Todoroki turned to face you, only now actually getting a glimpse of you. You had on a sticker, indicating your name and class, and were actually pretty cute. Well, Todoroki wasn’t gonna let that mess with his day. He had a point to prove.

But first, he supposed he had to answer you. “Yes?”

You seemed almost surprised that he’d responded, but picked yourself back up quickly. As expected, Todoroki thought, of a business student. “You were really cool against Midoriya. Well, that other guy too, but…” You seemed lost, but Todoroki knew it would be rude to interrupt. “A-Anyway, I just think you’re cool, and now just seemed like an opportune time to let you know my feelings.”

He quirked an eyebrow. “…Feelings?”

“Yes. I like you, Todoroki Shouto.”

Oh, so that’s what this was about. Todoroki had seen this happen in middle school sometimes, with love letters in someone’s shoe locker, or two students hiding behind the gym, red-faced. But things like this did not happen to Todoroki Shouto. Always so busy with training, detached from his classes, irreversibly scarred… Todoroki hadn’t received a confession since preschool, when a little girl decided she was going to marry him. That didn’t work out, of course, as preschool marriages often don’t, but the fact that this was the first real confession he’d gotten was… a bit more jarring than he’d originally thought.

You snapped him out of his spiral with that bell voice again. “I understand if you don’t feel the same way, but I felt like I had to make that known.”

“I don’t know you.”

Okay, that was harsh, he realized, looking at your face. He should probably reel it in, he’s not trying to start a fight here.

“We don’t actually know each other, really. I know your name and your class. You know… I fought well in the festival. I can’t return your feelings if I don’t know who you are.”

And that was that. You muttered something about understanding, and turned around, walking away dejectedly. Todoroki had no time for dating.

But you had looked at him so sweetly, and he found himself a little curious about you, and…

“If you’d like to eat lunch together sometime, that would be fine.” You stopped, and he took that as a sign to say something else. “We could try… being… friends. First, if you want.”

He was so awkward, that probably killed that option then and there, he thought. But when you turned your head just enough for him to see you smile, he felt a little better about it. “I’d like that. I’ll see you then.”

Todoroki Shouto had never really liked anyone, but if there’s one thing this day had taught him, it’s that there’s a first time for everything.

eventually he became a doctor in seoul national univ. hospital, one of the top hospitals in seoul

his niche wasnt really paediatrics but he enjoyed the company of children that the ceo gave him the offer in the department

seungmin declined, choosing to stay in family medicine

however patients who are fairly young are always numbered to his room so its all good

sometimes he’s on ER(emergency room) duty and 80% of female patients develop an instant crush on him

its funny cause when he measures their heart rate it spikes abnormally high and he gets flustered, “why is your heart rate so high?”

and doesnt notice the growing blush in their cheeks

anyhow, that was on rare occasions when he needs to cover duties for his colleague and close friend, jeongin

seungmin always wears this white coat with pororo stickers decorated on his name tag

he’s just so friendly, children dont even hate going to the doctor’s because of him

while checking their lungs seungmin would squat down to their eye-level to talk to them, to distract them

children willingly open their mouths to let him check their tonsils too

children rarely cry during his consulations, because seungmin is that good with children

and they go out happy

which makes you wonder what kind of spell seungmin casts on the kids to make them happy

you, a permanent in the ER, deal with all sorts of people everyday

frantically rushing in every minute, life and death right at its doorstep

sometimes you see seungmin in the ER for cover duty, and he was definitely a sight for sore eyes

but you never approached him, not wanting him to see you in messy hair and makeup almost all gone

you always see him cooped up in his room during lunch break, and you also didnt have the courage to ask him out for lunch, since the both of you werent close either

just then, a knight in white armour(quite literally) came rushing by your side to placate the crying child

the child stopped crying as soon and seungmin tended to him, and the whole consultation was just a breeze

the poor child had suffered from chicken pox, and he had to be isolated in a different room in the hospital

both you and seungmin were sad, the child would be both lonely and in pain(?)

since the child brought down the mood for the both of you, you decided to get 2 cups of hot cocoa to cheer him and yourself up

“don’t worry. the child will get better.” you patted his arm(which was your boldest move of the day), handing him the hot cocoa

he looked at you with puppy eyes, the brightening up slightly, “i hope he will.”

“he will, with your expertise, im sure he will soon.” you comforted, unaware that seungmin’s heart was beating wildly at your comment.

“rough day?” seungmin speaks up, gulping slightly

“yeah, there were so many patients today.” you sighed, “even the nurses werent enough to help.”

“stop talking and confess already!” you hear jeongin’s voice at the other side of the door, as the both of you widened your eyes

“confess... what?” seungmin laughed awkwardly

“yeah... what?” you smiled awkwardly, avoiding seungmin’s eyes

seungmin decided that he needed to man up and say something about it, so he just got up from his seat and brisk-walked towards you

I've been working in the supermarket for only little mire than a momth and I'm already fed up. These are some of the more unpleasant encounters I've had with customers in this time: -Maybe third or fourth day in the job and the first day I didn't have someone shadowing me, an elderly lady comes in, and before even saying hello demands someone to come help pack her bags. Now, I'm new and didn't even know we did that kinda thing (apparently this is more common in america but here we don't have designated baggers) and I didn't exactly know who to call for so I fumbled awkwardly for a minute until the lady's adult daughter who was behind her in line stepped in and said she'd help with the bags as she had just finished loading her stuff on the belt too. While I'm cashing out the old lady, I'm having to look up most of the fruit and vegetable numbers in my little booklet because... well, I'm new so at this point I only know apples and bananas off the top of my head bc those are the most common ones. So with everything i look up, she keeps telling me (in a very exasperated tone) what they are. Hey lady guess what. I know these are champignons. If I didn't know what they were, a) I'd ask you, and b) I wouldn't be able to look them up because as you can clearly see from where you are standing, this list does not have pictures. So she kept doing that, and her daughter kept being like "Mom stop, let the young lady work" and I kept getting more pissed off and anxious at the same time because I felt like I was taking too long (on my very first day I even had a panic attack because of this feeling of taking too long) so I said in my best customer service voice: "I'm really sorry I'm taking so long, I just started this job and I don't know everything yet!" And the old lady just said "Yes, I can tell." Like wtf rude!!? Can you just chill?? She also did nit say goodbye or thank you when I said "Have a nice day" as she left, her daughter shot me a look that just screamed "I am so sorry" (The same old lady came back a week or so ago, I only recognized her because she asked for help bagging again and this time I knew what to do and also didn't take as long because by now I have the most important numbers memorized, so she was a lot friendlier to me and even smiled at me, so maybe she was just having a bad day the first time around.) -A man came to my register with a small collection of items and two empty gas cartridges for those water carbonator thingies for at home. Our supermarket does this thing where you can bring in your empty cartridges and exchange them for new ones. However, they come in two sizes and I only had small ones left at my register while the ones the man brought were big. The two or three next registers in front of me were unmanned at this time and I was at the last one so no one behind me. I also couldn't call out to a cashier further down through the speaker system to ask if they had any because of course the speaker at my register didn't work, just my luck. And yelling across three registers was out of the question. So I told the man he'd need to go to another register to exchange his cartridges, at which he got really pissed and started yammering about having to get back in line etc. Sir. You can just walk up and ask, and nobody will complain because the exchange takes next to no time. Anyway, I finish cashing him out and ask if he wants his receipt, as I do with every customer, and in this really rude tone he goes "Yea I guess I DO need it because I HAVE TO GET BACK IN LINE" and walks away without a goodbye of course These next three all happened within the same day, on which I also happened to be really fucking sick but I dragged myself into work because I just got this job and didn't want to be fired. -A man came in with his young son and asked about a point promotion we had in cooperation with the WWF, where for every certain amount spent you'd get a point and with a certain number of points you could get a figurine of one of a few different endangered animals (Elephants, pandas etc) and of course parents and kids were all over that. I used to own a ton of these figurines myself as a kid, now I think my brother has most of mine. But anyway the man asks about these figurines and just earlier I had seen a note about this in the cash office so I told him what I had read on the note- that only registers with an even number have a basket with these toys, which meant I didn't have one because this time I was on register Number 3. He immediately got pissed because of this and was like "God, why don't you guys put a sign up?!" I ofc in customer service mode go "Yes I'm really sorry about that sir, I'm not sure why we don't have one, I'll bring it up with a manager later" yada yada ya know that fake shit but he just keeps bitching about having to get in line again and I have anxiety so I was kinda freaking out and didn't think to tell him that he can just walk right up to a register without getting back in line and ask to check out the toys, which people did all the time while it was going on. He ends up paying for his stuff or whatever and then walks off without saying goodbye (I see a recurring theme, when customers are mad they drop the greetings and basic politeness) and as he's walking off with his son and without a toy he's just muttering about shit service yada yada. -A little while later I was doing a return for a lady who had noticed the mugs she bought scanned for more than the price on them and I had missed the sticker for the new price because it was on the bottom and I hadn't turned the mugs over. She was really nice about it, she could probably also tell I was sick and made an honest mistake out of not being able to focus that well. Anyway I had already called for a superior to authorize the return because cashiers can't do that by themselves and this man I had cashed out a minute ago stomps up, cuts next to the lady, slams down a net of oranges and starts semi-yelling at me for ringing it up wrong- the net didn't have a barcode on it (not sure why, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't and sometimes when they do they don't work... it's weird.) So I punched in the number for oranges and weighed them, because I didn't really know what else to do? The net was supposed to be 2,99 and weighing it made it a little more expensive but not by much, maybe 10 cents- so really nothing to throw such a fit over. I tried to explain and showed the man that it didn't have a barcode to scan so I had no other way to determine a price but he kept interrupting me, telling me he didn't give a shit why I did what I did but that I did it wrong and to fix it and fix it now, yada yada. I could feel a panic attack coming on but the lady I was doing the return for (which nobody had come for yet, by the way) helped keep me calm and shot the guy a dirty look foe being so aggressive, I was super anxious because not only did I have to deal with two people waiting for something now, it was also super busy and I also kept cashing people out while they were waiting and I actually had to call for someone a second time because just nobody was showing up to authorize the damn return, and when someone finally did, the superior took the two of them to a different register to do the return because I had a bunch of people in line with big carts. -The last one for that day wasn't even that big of a deal but it still kinda pissed me off just because I was already upset from the previous encounters- a customer came up with a few cans of... let's say beans for simplicity- and he had stuck these stickers on them from a promotion we had going on, they had their own barcode and if you scan that barcode and then scan the product it takes a percentage off this product. However I had not seen the stickers until the guy pointed them out after I pulled through about five of the cans, because as I said I was having trouble concentrating because I was sick and the stickers were almost exactly the same color as the cans so I had simply missed them. The guy didn't trip about it and I called over the speaker for someone to authorize cancelling the proces so I could restart the process since I'm unable to apply the discount manually. A few minutes of awkeard waiting unable to continue pass and no one comes. I call out a second time, assuming I had simply not been heard or understood as my voice wasn't in the best shape, so i made sure to speak extra clearly. A few more mintes pass. Nothing. I call out a third and a fourth time, and after a total of what felt like probably ten minutes someone FINALLY got their ass to my register so I could do my thing. Of course customers in line had started getting impatient and I had heard one guy saying "oh my god what kinda bullshit is this" (i know right, it doesn't normally take this long i swear, normally someone's with you within a minute!!) Of course that guy did not greet me or respond to anything, just wordlessly held up his card to indicate how he wanted to pay and then left without a word. Please don't do that? It's not my fault that apparently everyone didn't hear me calling out four fucking times. Also on the same day, I had to stay on the clock for an extra 20 minutes because my register and no. 6 and I think one other one were the only manned ones and 6 was currently switching with someone, so my coworker that I don't like because she always talks to me like I'm stupid came up and told me to wait with clocking out until they were done switching which took them pretty long as they're both new. Like please you can clearly tell I'm sick just let me go home who cares if there's only one register open for a few minutes? The store wasn't even that busy at the time. The only reason I had something to do all of those 20 minutes was that the customers that came up had their carts filled to the brim. Guess who ended up in the emergency clinic shortly after because I'd been working all week despite being sick and got a pretty severe ear infection as a result? That's right, it was me.

Facing mounting pressure from everyone after a month long sabatical, Jack returns to work– only to sit at his desk and struggle not to either cry or destroy everything. He sits blankly for three days and then suddenly there is this short blond kid knocking on his semi-open door (he always leaves it part way open; shitty would just barge in anyway) and offering him pie. And then Bitty ever so tentatively mentions that no one has been by to pick up Shitty’s things or look at his data and no one was really sure what Shitty was working on but maybe Jack–

Jack didn’t know what Shitty was working on. For as much as the man could talk your ear off, he equally loved playing the “Mysterious Man of Science” at any opportunity. All Jack knew was that “It is going to change the world, brah! Gonna be fucking sick!!!” But Jack will be damned before he lets all of Shitty’s research go to waste and, fuck it, apparently he is a genius. If anyone can figure out what Shitty was doing and finish his work, it’s him. 

So Jack goes with Bitty, who is charming and friendly and Jack can’t decide if that’s soothing or if he wants to punch him in the face because dammit, he is sad and mad and, to be safe, he keeps his answers to one syllables. His jaw aches from the effort but at least he’s not crying or yelling so that’s a win.

Shitty’s lab is madness. Partly because it’s the common lab where five scientists work instead of Jack’s private lab/office but also partly because, as Jack sort of knows based on Shitty’s stories, everyone is crazy. Obviously, everyone is a bit subdued because Shitty had died only a month ago but Jack politely asks them what they are working on and they light up a bit at that and, also, keep in mind, they have been leaning on each other for support for this last month while Jack has been alone so they get a bit hyper and it’s like hearing an echo of Shitty. All Jack can think is how well Shitty would fit in here.

And how much he doesn’t. Especially not now. He’s not sure he even wants to. To finally hang out with Shitty’s friends now that Shitty is gone seems like the worst thing he can do. So he nods politely and grabs Shitty’s work (a mid-sized box, a laptop covered in neon stickers, and frightfully few notes, tbh) and heads back to his office. 

So Jack meets Baymax and Baymax takes one scan at Jack and tells him he is suffering from Depression and needs companionship (and Jack thinks, no, he needs Shitty) and calls everyone in the lab to come to Office- S01 immediately. 

Bitty, Ransom, Holster, and Lardo tumble in and–

“Wow!” Holster says, looking up at Baymax. “Shits never let us see what he was working on!”

“He’s so bouncy,” Ransom says, poking Baymax in the stomach. “I love him already.”

“Surprised Shits didn’t give him a killer ‘stash,” Lardo says. 

“Oh, he’s lovely,” Bitty adds, looking a bit close to tears himself. 

Everyone is too content to talk about Baymax to notice or care when he stands and closes the door, announcing: “Let’s all have some bonding time!”

Baymax seems blissfully unaware that Jack does not belong in this group. In fact, the group seems blissfully unaware too because they settle right now and start digging through Jack’s stuff and asking questions and even when Jack doesn’t really answer, they let the conversation flow around him so there’s not that much pressure and when they leave, Bitty pats him on the shoulder and says that he should join them for lunch “whenever he would like.”

Jack nods and thinks he’s never going to do that.

What he is going to do is perfect Baymax. He goes through all of Shitty’s notes and then when it turns out most of those are limericks and Pink Floyd lyrics, he hacks into Shitty’s laptop. (The password was “ZimmsAss4ever” which took Jack an embarrassingly short time to figure out bc honestly, Shitty told him that on the daily).

It’s in Shitty’s e-mails that Jack finds the threatening messages. Messages from big evil corporations who are furious that Shitty wants to produce Baymax for free and provide them to low-income area hospitals first and Jack doesn’t want to believe it, but he goes digging– armed with his nanotechnology and then Baymax and, well, he’s going to need help so…

Today was the day that I was supposed to go to Vietnam for 3 weeks, but I really didn’t want to spend time with my viet gma. And I really just want to stay in Korea for as much time as I can ...

Anyways, my English club went on a MT! This is my first (and last) MT haha. So I had no expectations. Well we had retreats for ASA, but that was just for ~leadership and bonding~

I didn’t get much sleep the night before because we stayed out until 4am, and I couldn’t fall asleep well. The next morning, we walked to the building together. I mainly walked with Brian because the others were putting on their sticker tattoos lol. Why am I always with this boy.

He asked me if anything was wrong because I didn’t sleep a lot last night hahah. So cute. I really didn’t know what to say to him?? I said I was watching YouTube. Then he asked if I listened to the song he wanted me to listen to hahah. I forgot. But I did tell him I saw Joseph Vincent in person live!! Because he and David Choi opened up for BAP that year in 2013 lmao. 6 years ago??? Wow. We talked a lot hahah. Then we walked into the building together and saw Mia, and Kelly. So we walked into the room together. Haha, everyone was excited to see me because I missed a week of ECHO ... then I left Brian’s side to talk to people. We ended up going to put on the sticker tattoos together. Hailey tried to talk to me but Brian interrupted us hahah.

I wanted to sit next to him on the bus hahhaa. But I learned my lesson and didn’t want to be selfish, like I used to with Merton. How I wanted to always be beside him during retreats or outings smh. But I sat beside Owen, Eric and Amy. I tried to talk to Owen and Eric because they played Rich Brian’s Dat Stick lmaoo. But it was awkward so I just stuck to talking to Amy and watching the movie.

We got to the place and rested for a bit. I don’t know why sometimes its so awkward with Brian??? Lmao. Because sometimes he wouldn’t talk to anyone and I would be alone to. But I tried not to hog up his time.

We got put into the same group for our games, and we sat beside each other. He kept helping me translate the game hahah. Mia would sometimes tell him to do so 😂 I think they have a thing for each other 🤔🤔 but I could be wrong .. he just hardly was with anyone but me or Mia lol ..

The day went on ~ I didn’t know what to do for the dinner, so Donna told me to just follow “my friend” Brian lmfao. I felt bad because he was also confused and he really translate all the time for me omg. He told me to take a rest and he’ll come get me if they need me LOL he is so nice. When we were eating, he sat in front of me and Amy. Probably because there weren’t any seats at the other end.

I poured his drink for him hahah. Then he kept showing people his ice cream tattoo. It was so cute. He was so proud of it. I picked it out for him hehe. And then they saw mine and was like “wow! It’s similar!!” Woops. One time, Amy was giving me some noodles but there weren’t much left, so he told Jongwook to give me some of his noodles haha so sweet. He is always looking out for me. I was always giving Amy meat and mushrooms lol. I can be a good girlfriend okie okie.

Amy and I left a little early because she was on her period. We got a prego scare together smh. Then we came back and he was hanging with Mia. We talked with Donna some and ended up going back inside because it was so cold and everyone was cleaning up. We rested a little bit. Actually I don’t remember much here ...

We did the gift exchange and I got Lina’s gift! Eric recieved my gift but somehow it broke lol. He said he is really thankful for it. It’s funny because Amy got Brian’s gift lmfao. We went bag shopping together. Then Evan got Amy’s gift LOLOL. It’s destiny.

Me Evan Amy and Brian are so close now hahahh. I think everyone in ECHO can see it. But that’s good! Because I think they really like when patrons and juniors get close to each other.

Then!!! Began the driNKINGGG GAMES. I somehow ended up sitting beside Brian, again?? Lol. But we played this game similar to move your butt. I didn’t end up drinking any. We took a break and I went to lay in the room with Amy.

After that, they played more drinking games. I think at this point, me and Amy were SOOO tired. But we drank a lot together lmao. I didn’t know how to play most of the games so I was just like fuck it. I got tipsy really fast and Amy got red really fast. Brian was like “is sHe okAy” lmfao. Nope. Anyways I was pretty tipsy omg. She ended up going to lay down and I was checking up on her. But I ended up having to drink because John lost. Lol. Anyways I helped them chug it and went to help Amy hahah. It was gross. I chug drinks, this is why I get drunk faster ..

After a while they stopped the game and some people went outside to look at the stars. So I convinced Amy to come find Evan, and told Brian to come too. But Amy was too drunk. So she couldn’t walk and went back inside to throw up. Evan went with her too. I told Brian we should wait for her but he said NaH let’s go lololol. While we were walking to the tennis court, we saw all the echo members and they were like “WHAT IS THIS !! A SECRET DATE!!!???”

Brian had his phone light on so I motioned him to hide it so it looked like we were holding hands .... lmfao. Fuck. Anyways they all shouted “Congratulations!!! You should hold hands !! You should start dating !!!” Omg so embarrassing lmfaooo. Brian just kept jumping up and down with him and I kept said “noOoooo” in korean 😂 then Mia came up to me and was like “congratulations!!!” But we ended up walking with her to the tennis courts too lolol but it was so cute because Brian didn’t deny anything and was just hyping it up as well hahahh.

We laid down together to watch the stars. But my head was hurting laying there and Brian said something in Korean to Mia, asking how he can translate it to a english lol and it was, “do you want me to put my arm under your head” HAHAHHHA OMG. I really should have said yeah, but after that awkward dating scandel, I was like nah nah. He later offered both his arms to me and Mia LMAO. So I really think he has nothing for me 😂

I kept calling Mia pretty and she said I was prettier lmaoo and then I said nOo Brian is prettier !! Aha. I love us. We somehow all held hands and jumped up and down to 1million ... lol i kept calling Amy and Evan bc I wanted them to be there, together so it didn’t seem like I wanted to be with Brian only.

They eventually came and we walked together somewhere else. “To look for zombies” and I somehow tripped going up the stairs and Brian helped me LOL. Also I invited Mia to my birthday gathering !! Because she was actually the first person that told me she will tell Echo to celebrate it hahha.

I made Brian go in this sketchy place with me because he had his phone light on. And I held his arm because I was scared LOL. But uhm, not awkward right? Because I hold everyone that I’m closed to!

I somehow was very tipsy ... brian and I played with the his phone light and did some hand shadows to this dog lol it was so cute ???

Then we walked more and Brian asked me if street lights in America were the same color and I told him honestly I don’t pay attention bc I don’t walk around, I just drive haha.

I ended up crying on Amy !!! Haha. Because I was sad. I really will miss this and Amy :( we walked back and I held onto Mia and Brian’s arms. It was kind of awkward because it felt like I was third wheeling them.

Idk what happened after we went in. Oh, people played more games I guess?? I wanted Brian Mia and Evan to drink more but they were tired, so I went with Amy. Mia couldn’t drink more because of the medicine she was taking. I went to talk to Donna, Lily and Kelly. Omg Lily and Donna asked me if we were dating LOL OMG. I kept telling them nooo. I told Donna that I like him though. And she asked if I like him, or love him LOL WHAT. I said nO i like him, but he probably likes someone else. And I told her that it was okay because we are the same age and we are close, so that is enough for me.

Then Amy and I went in the kitchen with Selena, Eric, Owen, Ashley, and Ella. I ended up spilling my drink LMAO. WTH !! Why am I so clumsy ??? So I left that and went back in the room to play zombies.

I was just going from group to group to see what I liked. I reminded me of ASA when I would do that and not stick to one. So I decided to stick with one! I ended up playing the cup games with Selena, Eric, Ella, Owen and Donna. And I had to drink, maybe two times?? I saw that Brian joined the other drinking group. One time, I looked over at them (because we were making a lot of noise and looked like we were having more fun lol) and Brian looked over at me too omg .. I didn’t mean to make eye contact with him .. lol but it was kind of cute :(

Sometimes I would go to their group and refill our snacks and John would help me because I was kinda drunk at that point. I really don’t remember how some of the stuff played out but somehow I ended up going outside aGAIN. But this time I went with Brian ??? Alone ???? Lmfao ??? What. I don’t remember, why or how ???

But Brian was really taking care of me ahahha. Did we go alone wth ??? We saw Jongwook and Julie and I hugged them lmao I was drunk ?? We went to the tennis court again because I wanted to see the stars, and I was so drunk when I laid down omg. I was sooo dizzy. He didn’t want to lay down so he stood there talking to me lol poor boy kept wanting to go inside because it was cold. But I was drunk and wasn’t cold. Then some echo members came down and saw us. But they went to talk somewhere else lol. Eventually they left and Donna was laying on the ground so I went over to lay on her LOL. And I made Brian come over to us and I held his hand ????? LOL WHAT. I remember it so well but I DONT KNOW WHY I HELD HIS HAND !!! Anyways he squeezed my hand at some point and it felt reassuring, and cute. Heh.

I told them I had to use the restroom and Mia was actually with us so I don’t remember how she ended up there ... oh yeah she took his jacket velco thing and kept it :( anyways, I went to the restroom by myself and went back outside to look for them but they were gone. So I went back inside and went in the kitchen ... ? They told me to watch the sausages but lmao I left after someone came to take over.

Okay I don’t remember if this is in order or not because I was drunk ... lol

I was with Brian, Eric, Ella, Owen, Selena, Evan and Amy at some point. Brian was sitting against the wall, and I was beside him. But! I’m pretty sure he came over to me because that was the corner that I was playing games with alll of them. I told Owen that his style is really nice and he is really cute hahahah. And he asked what about Eric. I said yeAH HIM TOO. LOL. Brian drank more with us heh. Brian went to put Evan to sleep lmao. And Amy eventually left us to sleep too.

Brian asked if I wanted to eat Ramen and went to check in the kitchen. They made some corn cheese and Brian told me to come over to get some haha he is soooo nicd. Mia ended up feeding me because I didn’t have any chopsticks. I went back to play with the others and Brian came over again too. We drank more.

Then they all left to go outside. I was left with Brian, but we were talking a lot. Mainly about alcohol??? Lol. Like always ... but yeah why are we always together I realized ...

I don’t know what happened after this ??? Lol

Somehow, we ended up drinking with Jongwook, Selena, Jimmy, Ashley, John and Donna. Jongwook said I am his drinking partner lmfao rip. I fed them all sausages hehe. Brian kept telling me to go brush my teeth and go to bed LMAO. HE TOLD ME NOT TO DRINK ANYMORE.

Idk why I kept drinking more but I ended up going to bed. They went outside again. I knocked the fuck out though.

I peered around the corner. Seokjin was there with two of his friends. They were talking very loudly about… aesthetic colours?

“Guys, the most aesthetic colour is red. I mean, look at it, it’s created to be aesthetically pleasing.” A red-haired boy told his friends.

“Are you demented? The most aesthetic colour is obviously black. You can’t go wrong with black.” The boy pointed to the hair on his head, beaming at the two other boys.

Seokjin had a look of mock disgust on his face. “Guys, the only acceptable answer is blonde. Psh, obviously.” He scoffed. The younger boys scrunched up their faces and disagreed in unison. I chuckled at their child-like behaviour, but I assumed that they would be talking about who to take to the prom since it was right around the corner.I didn’t have much time to laugh because I was going to apologise there and then.

I took a deep breath and walked out of the shadows. While shuffling towards them, I gave myself a pep talk. You can do this, you are strong, put your dignity aside and just apologise and get over it. I tapped on Seokjin’s shoulder. The broad-shouldered boy turned around and we locked eyes. “I...I just wanted to apologise to you about yesterday. I’m sorry.” I felt my face getting hotter as I spoke. His unamused expression turned into an excited one as I held out a box of cookies that I had slaved away the night before to do. He took the box and held it to his chest. He closed his eyes and sighed blissfully. He quickly opened the box and stuffed one of the cookies into his mouth.

“You’re forgiven.” He sprayed cookie crumbs everywhere. His two friends at the back were giggling at their hyung. The red haired one came out from behind Seokjin first, followed by the black haired one.

“Hello Noona! My name is Taehyung but you can call me Taetae if you like.” The red haired boy smiled cheekily. He was an outgoing one, very confident.

“Hi Noona, my name is Jimin, but you can call me Minnie.” The raven haired boy smiled shyly. He seemed like a good kid, mature and cute.“Hi Noona! My name is Seokjin, but you can call me Jin.” Seokjin mimicked his dongsaengs’ cute tone. I shook my head in disbelief. I grinned at the young boys. “My name is Y/N, it’s nice to meet you both.”

“Y/N noona, how do you know Jin hyung?” Taehyung asked. I looked at Seokjin who shook his head vigorously. I nodded back at him. “I accidentally hurt him, so I came to apologise by giving him cookies.” The two boys covered their mouths and laughed. I smiled fondly, they seemed like little children. They both nodded in unison, making me laugh again. I turned to the left and caught Seokjin’s gaze. We awkwardly stared at each other for a little while, and I decided to initiate a conversation.

“So…..” I cringed a little inside. “What are you guys doing for the Winter Prom? Who are y’all bringing?” All 3 boys blushed bright red.

“Ah, yes. We have asked many people to be our date.” Taehyung declared, in contrast to his burning face. “Many people have said yes.” Jimin nodded vigorously.

“Yes, noona. Ma...many people. Certainly.” More like uncertainly. Jin just rolled his eyes. “No, I haven’t asked anyone yet.” I shot him a confused look. He was good-looking, pretty kind from what I had observed, and he usually had a group of girls ogling him, probably just wanting to get in his pants. How hard could it be to just pick one dumb blonde out of the group and take her to the prom? Anyway, in our society, he didn’t even have to get attached. He wasn’t picking out a wife or anything, it was just picking out a girl to go to a lame social event to and then dumping her at her own house later. “How about you?” I nonchalantly shrugged.

“No, I’m actually not planning on going.” The two younger boys’ jaws dropped and their eyes bulged out of their heads. “I feel like it’s a waste of time.” It was, though. It was going to be held in the gymnasium, which already smelled like feet and whatever the small kid in the last class had for lunch. I was going to be surrounded by people that I didn’t even care about, and would have no association to once I took the pill. The incompetent douchebag who asked me to go with him would probably ditch me, and i would find him at some corner afterwards making out with some other chick. Like I said, waste of time. Jin and his dongsaengs probably thought that I was insane. This was the only night that we could get bat shit drunk in the school premises, and everything that the drunk students did was not held against them.

The year before, a few sober students pretended to be drunk, and egged the principal’s car. This might sound crazy, and illegal ,but no one cares about anything because they don’t have emotions. And they don’t, so why would they care? I nodded at the boys and turned away to walk to my next class, but Jin grabbed a hold of my arm. I stared at him in alarm. What the hell was he doing? I tugged on my arm and he let go almost immediately. I rubbed the part where he grabbed me, and looked into his eyes. He seemed calm, but i felt like he was screaming at me to stay. I snuck a look at the shocked younger boys. They stared wide-eyed at their hyung, stunned at the sudden grasp. The blonde looked at them with a blank stare -from what I saw- and they quickly scrambled away. He turned to me with a small smile on his face. “You’re so lame, prom is fun.” I rolled my eyes. Just then, the class bell rang. I turned to him, hoping that he would get the hint that I really had to leave, but he just linked his arm with mine. “I have English next period, let’s go together.” My eyes widened in utter panic. He must be crazy, I thought, as he walked down the hallway with me.

There were guys pointing in confusion and girls glaring in envy. Everyone was puzzled as to why he was linking arms with a girl no one had ever seen before, including me. I had never seen him in a romantic light, and I doubt that he had ever seen me in that way as well, so why was he being all coupley with me? I was so horrified at what he had done, making me look like I was some girl who he was dating, making me look like one of the goddamn fools that…

But, even though I was upset with him, I still chose to sit with him in English. We sat at the back of the class, causing a ruckus, laughing so loudly that the teacher had to ask us to shut up.

A few weeks after that, he invited me to some halloween party in some secluded part of Seoul. I was hesitant at first, but he assured me that it was safe. I ended up going as the Joker, and having a blast. He went as a male Harley Quinn and I kind of teased him when he came to my apartment to pick me up.

“Jin?” I squinted at the tall boy with pink and blue chalked hair. He twirled around in his halloween outfit. “That’s right Puddin’!” I choked on the smoothie that I was sipping and spluttered smoothie chunks on him. His face was contorted with disgust, and he used my hand to wipe off any stray food that was sprayed on his costume. “I think my Harley Quinn outfit looks awesome!” He self-proclaimed. I nodded as if I agreed. “Yeah, very awesome.” I taunted sarcastically. He shook his head in defeat. “You’re just saying that I look like shit, inside you’re thinking ‘wow look at him, he looks amazing!’” I might have opened my mouth to defend myself, but I couldn’t find a flaw in his statement. He was completely, and annoyingly, spot on.

We had a great time at the party, but all we did was sit in a small corner and make fun of the people who tried very hard, but failed miserably. There was a guy who came in a trash bag, saying that he went as himself. There was a girl who just wore lingerie, and shivered in the biting air. After the party, we sneaked out to a small diner nearby and we ate pancakes in our ridiculous outfits, probably startling and confusing those around us.

Since that day, our friendship bloomed. It mostly consisted of corny jokes and stifled laughter from both parties. He introduced me to his friends, all 6 of them. They seemed like kind people who cared deeply for Jin. Namjoon looked at the world in a very philosophical way, often spewing thought-provoking questions that made everyone have an existential crisis. Yoongi was a quiet guy with a killer taste of music. Hoseok liked to laugh, and would dance at any given moment. Taehyung was just, Taehyung, usually confused but had a big heart. Jimin was his smiley self, radiating positivity and happiness everywhere he went. Jungkook was a fighter, tall and strong, and would 100% beat your sorry ass in any given sport. They were all amazing friends, and Jin was blessed to have these companions.

And I introduced him to my only friend, Hye Gi. She was thrilled to meet him, and said that she was dying inside, obviously, but she seemed calm during their introduction. She was my best friend, my wingwoman, my platonic soulmate. She was a rational person who ran on logic, although she could do some crazy stuff when she was under pressure. She was my favourite person in the entire world, and I was hers (i hope). We knew each other since we were 8 and we bonded over our love for a red lego that had a sticker of a dolphin stuck to it. Jin found that last fact adorable, to which Hye Gi giggled uncontrollably at. We might have been close, but we were as similar as night and day. I was a pretty pessimistic person, she was optimistic as hell. She looked at the world in a different light from me, which I found endearing. I cared for her with all my heart, and Jin took an interest to her, which she squealed to me after.

As Jin and I got closer, I noticed little details about him that any passerby would just ignore. I noticed the way he told me about his family, about his Mario and Maple Story figurines, about how he missed Gwacheon, his hometown. He spoke with such enthusiasm, such happiness and sincerity, that I couldn’t help but fall for him. It was sudden, hitting me out of the blue on a random Tuesday in October, but it was undeniable. I had fallen for Kim Seokjin.

It was really just a random Tuesday. We were hanging out in the school library, trying to study. Well, I was trying to study, he was just fooling around like usual. I had a history test the next week, so I was trying to cram. “Y/nnnnnnnnnn…” He sang. “Stop studying. Let’s go to a coffeeshop and we can binge on cakes and sweet drinks.” I pushed him away. “Go away Jinnie. I’m trying to study.” He continued to whine to me about how he needed sugar. I sighed in frustration. “Kim Seokjin, I envy you. You are cool, you get all the girls, and you don’t even have to study to get good grades. But, I’m not like you. So please let me study, or leave me alone.” He was silent after my harsh words. I felt terrible, I wanted to apologise for my rude behaviour.

“You think i’m cool?” He grinned mischievously, earning a loud groan from me that caused many “eager learners” to shush me. He did aegyo to try and convince me to leave the library, and that did it for me. I got up, packed my things, and dragged him off to the nearest coffeeshop. He cheered happily and I looked into his eyes and fell deeply in love. They contained so many emotions, both happy and sad ones, and I got lost in them.

Many sleepless nights followed that fateful day, and I didn’t know what to do with myself. Before, I was a drunken asshole who bought liquor every night just to “drown my sorrows”, but now I was a sober, slightly-less-of-an-asshole all thanks to him. I had changed for the better because of him and I hadn’t even known it. Although I hadn’t fallen in love just yet, I was still smitten by him. It’s not love, it’s infatuation, I kept telling myself, and I believed it. I didn’t feel the strong emotions that came with teenage love yet, but I got flustered every time he held my hand, or pushed my hair behind my ears. To him, it was probably just an everyday thing, but my heart fluttered every time. I wanted to tell Hye Gi about my feelings, seeing as she was the only person that I trusted, but she liked him as well. I was caught in a web of feelings, and I couldn’t get out.

I opened my locker after Psychology. It was a tiring day, and all I wanted to do was go home and sleep for at least 4 years. But, all that was in the way was lunch period and Algebra. I was planning to find an empty classroom and sleep until Algebra, but my grumbling stomach suggested otherwise. My plan was to buy a sandwich, and sleep in a random quiet place till my next period. As I was thinking of my plan, my fingers brushed against a pink envelope. It had my name on it, and it was in Jin’s infamous chicken scrawl. My curiosity got the best of me and i tore the letter open.

Dear Y/N, Meet me in the Music Room as soon as you get this letter. I’ll be waiting for you.

Love, Jin

I was very confused at this slightly ominous letter. Why did he want to meet me in the music room? What was so private that he had to ask me to go all the way to the other side of the school? As I was rushing to the Music Room, Jimin stopped me in my tracks, wearing a very afraid expression on his small face.

“Noona? Could I ask you something?” He nervously asked. Although he was way taller than me, I wanted to squish his cheeks and wrap him in thousands of blankets, he seemed so innocent and cute. Out of all of Jin’s friends, I was the closest to him, thinking of him as my younger brother. “Yes Minnie?” I asked, genuinely concerned. His face burned an alarming red, he seemed very distressed.

“I know that you were not planning on going to the Winter Prom, but...but I was just wondering if you could go with me?” I covered my smile with the back of my hand. He was so sweet, a being that needs to be protected at all costs. “Why do you want me, Jiminie? You’re good looking, sweet, gentlemanly, and not to mention ,a great dancer.Why wouldn’t anyone not want to go with you?” I boosted his self-esteem, holding his small hands in mine and reassuring him. His gaze diverted to the floor, like the tiles were the most interesting thing in the world. “All the girls that I asked already had dates, and I don’t have a lot of friends that are girls.” He looked so desperate and sad, there was no way on this earth that I could say no.

“Of course I will Minnie. Anything for you.” I stood on tiptoes and ruffled his dark hair. His nervous expression quickly turned into a happy one, his eyes curving into crescent moons, showing an eye smile that would turn melt any girl. “Thank you Y/N noona!” He pulled me into a tight hug that I reciprocated. As salty and bitter as I was, Jimin would always soften me right up. We stayed in that position for a while, until I realised that I had to see Jin. I immediately jumped up at the sudden realisation, briefly filled Jimin on the situation and ran away at full speed. I felt like a character in an old cartoon, you know the ones where they run and their legs turn a full circle? That’s how fast I was running.

When I reached the Music Room, I scanned the room and he wasn’t there, he had already left. I bent down at the door, my lungs getting as much oxygen as it could as I tried to catch my breath. I was too late. Now I wasn’t going to know what the hell he wanted. What if it was really important?

“You’re here.” A quiet voice from behind startled me. “I thought that you were just going to ditch me.” I turned around and saw Jin with a soft expression.

“Why would I ditch you?” I laughed. He grinned back, but his smile seemed forced, it was short of something. His lips seemed to quiver, he kept wiping his hands on his pants. I tilted my head. “What did you want though?” He sucked in a breath and closed his eyes. He took my hands and kneeled on the floor. My breath got caught in my throat.

“Will you go to prom with me?”

I don’t remember too much about my birthday last year, besides having to work and mom taking me out to the cat cafe and the brewery. but despite having a pandemic birthday it was actually pretty nice.

I finally got 3 days off in a row. I did tell my friend Cassidy that I’d help them take their stuff to the UPS store to ship it back to CA, but I honestly thought it would only take part of the day. I didn’t mind grabbing lunch and also staying for dinner, but I didn’t really want to have to be driving all over that part of the DC area all day. which was what happened. I didn’t end up getting home til 1am, and while I DID tell them I could help, it kind of felt like a wasted day. wasn’t really an off-day. BUT Cassidy did cover all my food, got me a lovely birthday cake, and gave me some coloring book-style postcards and a little stuffed brain cell. plus a literal fuckton of crafting supplies they didn’t feel like hauling back to CA. I asked how much they’d want for it; they did say I could just have it but seriously that haul has got to be worth at least $150. there were 6 bottles of resin/hardener and those ALONE have got to be worth $80 at a minimum. they said they’d just ask $40 and like... shit, sure. that’s a goddamn steal.

they also sold me their 4x4 ikea kallax shelf; I remember helping them put it together when they first moved to MD. we took it apart and I had my brother come over sunday to help me carry the pieces upstairs. then put it together entirely by myself, which... I probably shouldn’t have done? I made it work, but that shit is Heavy and also very difficult to put together on your own. even the manual says you should have two people. every muscle in my upper body is incredibly sore now, and I managed to bruise both arms in multiple places (not even doing anything seriously injurious, I’m just an overripe banana). but in making room for it in my living room I rearranged the couches, relocated all my yarn to the new shelf from my old craft shelves (and it took up 12/16 of the cubes 🙃), re-sorted and organized the remaining craft shelves, took the two 1x3 shelves up to the rats’ room (and now they’re being used as towel storage), and actually cleaned up my living room area. my dining room table is sewing-machine-free for the first time since march. I just moved it to the craft shelves, and now I actually have the room there for the machine to just sit. the accessories have their own shelf bin. 

mom wanted to do dinner sunday night instead of today, and I guess that was okay. but it didn’t leave me much down time since I spent all day cleaning and organizing. but it was nice anyway. I got home and mom had blown up some balloons, and she had RHCP playing all evening. I’d requested homemade mac & cheese rather than noodles & co this year, and she found a pretty good recipe. she also made a cinnamon sugar doughnut bundt cake, which was good, though maybe a little dry. but served with ice cream it was better. mom told me she had another piece today and it was more moist today somehow.

mom and my brother had ordered me a bunch of things off my crafting wishlist on amazon, and those had come in during the week. my brother ordered the animal keychain molds, a mica powder dye set, black/white alcohol inks, and a silicone mold kit. mom got me a coaster mold set, another resin/hardener set, and a bunch of the sandpaper with the different grits that I really needed. I was kind of surprised she’d ordered me more things, since she already got me the huge rat cage. and she even told me today I should be getting another coaster set tomorrow, this one with 4 of the same size; the other one she ordered had 4 or 5 round molds but they were all different sizes. I can still make coasters with them, but the biggest one is small-tray sized and the smallest one is like... coin-sized, honestly. it’s tiny. and I can only make one at a time, so a set of 4 of the same size would take 4 days at a bare minimum; longer than that possibly if I were doing layers that needed to cure first. so with a set of 4 I can whip up a whole set at once. 

mom’s boyfriend got me things too, which was super nice of him. they saved it for the dinner night, so I got to open it there. he got me a geode coaster mold, the set of animal butt shaker molds I put on my wishlist kind of as a joke, but also I thought they were silly and adorable. I’m so excited to make those little shakers. also got a set of 3 trinket box molds with molds for the lids, and a little bag of snake charms I’d added so I could use the charms for mold-making; I could make my own little snake charm earrings!

so yesterday was a long day. and then I slept like garbage and woke up early this morning, but I at least got a few things done before Charlotte came over. we planned on a lazy day but since I’d wanted to make yesterday my craft day and never got around to it, I wanted to do that today. Charlotte I guess didn’t have the same idea, but she’d brought her laptop so she could play this video game she and her brother and husband and so on had played together. we ordered five guys for lunch, which is always nice. she brought me homemade cinnamon sugar cupcakes, and gave me a hand mixer, a few bath bombs, and some face masks as a birthday gift. she was right, I really do need my own hand mixer, ha. 

I finally got to work on my silicone molds, and it was super messy. I didn’t realize how much worse it would be than resin. but I tried my best to mix it well. I’d accidentally bought a $25 kit at michael’s a few weeks ago, because I’d picked it up from a clearance section and wanted to price check but forgot and forgot it was in my basket when I checked out; didn’t even realize I’d bought it until I was already back in my car looking into the bag. oops. but I ended up using the whole thing. and I had planned to make a crochet hook mold, so I was excited to try it. mom gave me an old tennis ball can that I cut up, and I used hot glue to seal it and position the hooks. I felt SO bad that it used up almost all of the silicone kit my brother got me; that shit is NOT cheap. and I was terrified I didn’t stir it well enough or mix the parts well enough because that would’ve been such a waste. but I demolded it after the few hours’ cure time and it came out beautifully. I cut slits in it with an xacto knife, so that way I can at least coax the hooks out more easily when I go to demold. it did seem like kind of a waste of a lot of the silicone, since I didn’t use up all the space, but hopefully I can sell enough crochet hook sets that I can maybe buy myself more. I’m nervous about those pours, because they’re not going to be easy, but I’m also excited bc I have a gorgeous, usable mold, and I got a ton of resin for [almost] free that I can experiment with. 

after that I finally got around to some of the resin I’ve been meaning to do. my friend in PA requested some resin earrings; she’s bought so many masks off my etsy for herself and family that after this last order I offered her a resin or crochet thing at no charge. so I’ve got to do some moon earrings; too bad I don’t have more than one moon mold. also my brother babysat some kids the last few weeks of summer and he’d taken them out to gather wildflowers for me to put into resin, so I offered to make them little resin keychains. I got little transparent letter stickers, and I’m super glad they worked as well as they did; the transparent stickers don’t show their borders in the resin so it almost looks like the letters are printed in it. I decided to make letter keychains with each of their initials, and I spelled their names with stickers in the letters. for the girl’s keychain, I added some of the flowers. I’m not sure what to put in the boys’ keychains quite yet. I’m told they’re harry potter fans, so maybe I’ll do some kind of transparent blue with gold glitter or maybe star glitter or something. I also had leftover colored resin from the moon mold so I added them to the J for my mom. nothing like the scramble for appropriately-sized molds when you’ve got extra resin. I also made another set of cat earrings, and I’ll see how those end up. I tried a drop of gold alcohol ink, and hopefully the white helped it sink. otherwise I’ve just got some weird looking cat earrings. 

(update, they turned out weird. gold doesn’t sink :/)

I wasn’t quite ready to go back to work today. I had a pretty good weekend, all said. don’t get me wrong, I enjoy what I do. but I feel like I need another gap year. I just want to stop existing for a while. stop having to go out and be around other people. having to talk to other people, all day almost every day. I’m tired. my brain is tired. my last gap year didn’t help with that, so I’m not sure how much good another one would do me. but I just... I need a damn break. 

I have another therapy appointment tomorrow. it may end up being my last one for a while. I already can’t really afford the copay, and I’m switching insurance to one she doesn’t take. my credit card bill this month is incredibly painful. not going to be too upset at not having to spend almost $100 a week to just ramble to someone I barely know. she’s pointed out a few things to me that I didn’t really notice I do, which is nice. but is it worth $400 a month? not right now. not when I’m about to lose my insurance and have to pay for my own. my rent is already half my pay, and now I’m going take a pay cut of somewhere around $100 a month for fucking health insurance. I hate this. I fucking hate the concept of health insurance. insurance in and of itself isn’t bad; property insurance is helpful. but having to pay money for other people to pay money for your healthcare? and you still have to hit a deductible somewhere in the thousands before insurance will even start covering your shit. and even then they can decline coverage or only cover parts of your expenses. literally what is the point

 back to worrying I guess. 

I’ve started a kind of ridiculous undertaking at work as a side project, now that I’m done scanning all the files that were up front. I printed out the list of all the clients in our system that had physical folders, and I’m going through the scanned records and making sure the active ones have new client paperwork and the hours disclosure attached. the head receptionist asked me to start with the ones my former coworker had scanned in, and there are a lot of disclosures missing. some are missing both. I don’t know if he just didn’t scan them or if they didn’t have them at all or what. but I’ve been putting alerts in charts so people know that they need to give the forms to the clients when they come in. we had one client get kind of mad that he’s been coming to us for 10-some years and didn’t want to fill out the paperwork again, even after we clarified it was for our records and for legal reasons. but whatever. 

I don’t know how many physical folders there were, but the list is very long. the folders go from 0 to somewhere in the 8000s I believe, but thankfully a lot are missing. missing as in possibly inactive, so there might only actually be 1000-2000 or so. but I’m going through every single one of them. I made myself a little system with highlighter colors: yellow means the client is active and they need something filled out (and I mark on the sheet what they need), purple means they’ve been seen within 3 years but more than 1 year ago, and they need to fill out something, pink mens inactive, and orange is kind of a catch-all for things like active clients who have recently moved (not sure whether to mark those as inactive). so far, since starting this a week or so ago, I’ve managed to get through 4 pages and a little bit on a 5th. many, many more to go.

the head vet wants to turn the back room into a little employee lounge area of some sort, but we want to get rid of those shelves first too. which means I have 2 big shelves of folders left before I’m officially done. thankfully the files in the back should *mostly* be clients that are inactive, but I still have to go through all of them to make sure. I know I’ve gone back there a number of times to find a folder for an active client because I wasn’t sure whose phone number was whose and I knew it would be in the record.

I’ve been writing this post over the last two nights but I keep falling asleep while I’m writing. I did a lot more resin stuff last night, so I ended up going to bed pretty late. I wanted to finish up those keychains but I’m bad at gauging how much resin I’ll need for things so I ended up with a lot of random extra pours. I’m excited about a few of them; I poured a few into the new molds I made so I’m looking forward to seeing how those turn out. 

not really sure where I was going with this. not really sure where I’m going in general. I’m just going. trying to keep up with work, trying to remember doctor appointments. trying to keep the rats happy and as healthy as I can get them, trying not to let the cat get on my nerves too much. trying to do crafts. trying to remember to talk to people, but I don’t know. I feel lonely sometimes but since I’ve been working so much I kind of just want to be alone. I don’t have the energy for conversations a lot of the time.

Okay so we arrived at like, 10:23 or abt that time so i had some time before my first panel so i just kinda walked around. i dont think anything happened around that time, sorry. my memory of today is a lil bit hazy at parts. but while on the escalator, i looked over at registration n saw creeper print and a yellow crown n the person rly looked like king gavin n i openly Gasped but i couldnt get to them obviously but i was like gjhnsmjgh hh.

then, i went to the yoi panel! uhm.. not much to comment on for this panel, sorry. there was a viktor, yuri, and yurio! i remember there was a personality swap ask and for part of the panel, they all had switched jackets because of a dare.

next was the oh-shc panel! the honey was rly cute n gave a lot of hugs to a lot of the audience members n they were such sute hugs gjhnsm.. like the ones where u semi-leap at a person n hug em w slight movement it was so cute. kyoya said his entire budget book he brought was all for tamaki’s expenses and tamaki proposed to haruhi as a dare but earlier in the panel he was imagining outloud him n haruhi’s wedding gjhnsm

after that, i couldve went to the grav!ity falls panel or the bn-ha one, but since the bn-ha one was in the same room as the previous two, i just decided to stay in my seat for that one. the todoroki n kirishima came in late w starbucks which todoroki says was paid for by endeavor bc he had his dad’s credit card n he actually gave out 2 fake paper credit cards to ppl. aizawa got asked what the dumbest thing he’s gotten asked by one of his students n he said it was “whats your quirk, aizawa?” n todoroki said “it’s not ‘is mayonaise an instrument’? then there was other stuff n they played Sentences and i suggested the scenario “furry convention” after someone suggested todoroki and izuku. ALSO!!! i won the raffle for a bn-ha poster! it was drawn by the uraraka that was one of the panelists n it looks so good ;w; dunno where im gonna put it.. but as my first fanmade print (that’s not my hs wall scroll, which was officially licensed), ill cherish it.

after that i had time to walk! i saw a bunch of id0lish cosplayers! the id0lish7 ones in the dream journey outfits n the 2 trigger members i saw were in similar outfits? i forgot the name for them. anyway! i saw a gentaro n took their pic n they were like “i hav a dice n ramuda somewhere around here.. we’re fl!ng posse” so i wndered around the dealers room n eventually found the dice n ramuda together n took their pic too! thn i kept wanderin n i!! found the king gavin n i was like “are you cosplaying king gavin” n they were like “yea!” n i was!! so happy!!! n they turned to their friend n they were like “see you shouldve stayed in costume! [turns 2 me] they were mad k!ng ryan up until a lil while ago; they changed” but anyway i took their pic n they were talking abt how it feels kinda odd to come to terms w the fact theyre cosplaying minecraft n how they saw a minecraft person earlier n thought abt talking to them but it’s different bc it’s ach!evement hunter so they dont kno the full picture. i saw a corrin w arei button!! which was exciting. also met a nico who said they were gonna b arashi that day but didnt wanna contour but theyre gonna b her tomorrow!! DURING THIS TIME i also saw an adachi body pillow at an artist’s booth n im.. gjhnskm....... i wanted it...... i later found out it was $60 tho so. ;w; i met a sougo n tamaki n i asked if i could take their pic n they said yea, just give em a sec, n the sougo was like “r u cosplayin tsukasa??” n i said yep n they were like do u wanna b in our mv?” n i thought it was a whole event thing n i was like “oh. id hav to check my schedule i might b busy but” n they were talking abt how we (me, the luka next to them, n the kaito next to luka) would just do like steps to the side by following sougos lead n i was confused n repeated myself but the sougo was like “oh, no no it’s right now” n so i did that w them while the tamaki filmed n unfortunately i 4got to ask their instagrams so idk where the vid is but w/e. the sougo told me abt an id0lish meetup at 5 pm, too, out on the docks.

i went downstairs after walkina round the dealers room n there was!! a bloody banquet rei and koga!!! they were so pretty.. i was intimidated kinda but i managed to approach them n we talked abt rei’s rei itabag n koga’s goro itabag n rei said they once spent $150 dollars in rei merch in one sitting on yahoo auctions whoa. they were rly cool tho! we talked for a few minutes. later, i also saw another hypm!c group of MTR + ramuda n took their pics n the ramuda was like “ur sign omg. wait r u tsukasa??” n i said yep n we got excited abt ES n the jakurai told me theres an ES meetup tomorrow at 1 pm!! unfortunately, i hav a panel (2, actually, but i can only choose 1) that is at that time so idk if ill go... esp since it’ll prob only b a few ppl n im not the type of person to make friends anyway, yknow? ....anyway! the hifumi game me a lil clear heart tin w tiny fake yellow flowers n a piece of paper that said: “thank u, prince/princess! -hifumi [doodle of 2 champagne glasses]” n thats.. so cute. i gave them a lollipop in return. little while later, met another jakurai! i think we also talked abt ens-tars!! cant remember a lot of it tho gomen. then a lil while later, i saw the kakeru cosplayer i had heard abt on twitter! they were manning an art booth. i was like “are you cosplaying kakeru?” n they were like “yea!” n i took their pic n i was like “i didnt think id rly find k!npri cosplayers here aa” n the kakeru went “FINALLY i can use one of these!” n handed me a lil kakeru sticker they drew n i was like “his fumb bg pink jacket.. it makes him look like a Shrimp” n we both laughed n they showed me the k!npri stuff on their table n a joji on the other side of their display that looked like he was behind bars bc the display thingy and a jin hanging from one of the bars. they (the kakeru n the person they were with) were like “we kept seeing you walk by w ur sign n we were like ‘i hope they find leo!’” (both days, bc the other person asked if i was tsukasa yesterday) n i showed them my yug!oh card that’s an obscure reference to a tsukasa cg! n i talked to them a lil bit abt ens-tars but i cant remember a lot gahh!! and while i was standing there, a honoka came up and asked for my photo n i was like “ANOTHER ES FAN??” n i talked to them for a sec n forgot to put up my prop for the photo at first gjhnsm but that was cool!!  oh, the honoka also asked me if i liked anzu n i was like “she’s super cute in the anime”

after that i tried to go to the fru!ts basket panel but im only 6 eps in the remake anime n they had almost all the characters n i didnt understand a lot of the questions bc i hadnt seen much of the show so.. then after only a few minutes of q+a they started up trivis so i left n just walked around the dealers room. it was during this time that my crown fell off (SECOND DAY IN A ROW) n i searched the whole dealers room but couldnt find it?? ghh..

ANYWAY i found another ramuda w a jakurai n the ramuda liked my sign too n they were like “ur tsukasa!” n i went yep n they saw the buttons ns tuff on my bag n all my keychains n they were like ‘oh, sry” n i was like “no no, it’s okay, u can go thru all the keychains on my backpack i hav A Lot” n i pointed out chiaki as my best boy n mika as my 2nd fav n they said they cosplay hakaze. at some point, i played drops on my flip phone i think bc ramuda was saying smth pertaining to drops?? mayb not. but i played it n jakurai was like “oh god i hav to hear it hre too..” (in-character, i think) n i spotted another ramud in the distand n asked them to wtch my stuff while i took the ramudas pic so i went over n the person next to them had an arashi plush!e n we both squealed (i think. i did tho, Loudly.)

after this i just wandered n i danced on the dance floor! chacha slide, cupid shuffle, n time warp iirc! def time warp tho. also to some 80s song n some guy not in cosplay spun me around nt ried to swing dance we me but he was completely leading it n i didnt kno what to do!! after that i saw a tumblr/con friend while on my way to the yoi panel!!

then the yoi panel was actually p funny! a lot of questions abt yurio’s parents being viktor and yuri and yuri n viktor slowdanced to an edd sheeran song n otabek showed off their muscles (like, flexed their arms in their tank top) n yuri kept dramatically thwipping open their rainbow fan esp in responses to gay asks. at one point, someone asked abt yaois n a mom who was attending w their preteen or teen child was like “whats yaoi?” n the ppl behind her were like “i dont wanna b the one to do this..” n ppl told the mom n the mom to their teen/preteen kid was like “what are u watching? where? is it okay? is it on tv?” n the kid was responding to ehr questions but i couldnt hear them gjhnsm. yurio did a dance to a song n after that, we all danced to cupid shuffle n wobble n then i stopped but others did the time warp too. oh! also i answered a trivia question right (”who’s yuri’s best friend?” “pichit”) and got an utapr! keychain/strap! it’s reiji in a glitter thing. none of the other stuff there aside from some yoi straps was my fandoms so i saw utapr! n went for it.

then the bnh-a pj party! ...uh. the original panelists never showed up so random bn-ha cosplayers (and their non-cn.ha-cosplaying friends) tred to host the panel but everythign was hectic and loud n unfocused n a wreck but i noticed a ramuda n a hifumi i hadnt taken a pic of yet in the corner of the room (there were no chairs) so i eventually got annoyed/bored n went over to ask for a pic but ended up asking to sit w them (i walked over, put my sign down, n went “i said Fuck leo rights n higumi was like “that chara is familiar..” n i said leo from ES n they were like “oh i watched p 1 of that” n i was like “ep 2, this unday. stan ryuseitai”) n i ended up talking to them abt hypm!c n cosplay stuff n i talked a bit abt ens-tars and we all agreed that stella n papillion Slap on the new album. n ramuda said they were cosplaying as a prom!sed neverland haracter tomorrow n recommended it to me n i was like “oh im watching fru!ts basket rn tho” n the hifumi said they were too n the ramuda was like “do u kno the horse one in fru!ts basket? It was written in bold black text, basically saying that my car insurance will be terminated at the end of my current 6 months period, attached was a copy of a claim I had 2 years ago for a fender bender ($90).
