#And. A lot of it borders on downright hate and aggression towards people who like those characters????

Believe it or not but the statements "Janus is a manipulative person who has deeply hurt Roman and the others to get what he wants and needs to be held accountable for his behavior in future Sanders Sides episodes" and "Janus wants what's best for Thomas and is an advocate for self care" are both very true statements that can coexist.

Sorry my asks was too long I had to make an acc and I hope you don’t mind I just re post all my asks as submit instead coz it’s long!
1-9 after reading ch 11 and prob unpopular opinion but I kinda felt like sometimes tease!jk behavior comes across as emotional manipulative with how he tends to guilt trip mc with his double standards when he’s angry.
He makes her feel bad for things he’s doing the same. And what he said was crossing the line and downright cruel. I understand the reasoning but I have to agree with that anon who said he was let off easy
2-9 I feel like he’s so far given a lot of excuse and pass for his toxic behaviour just because he has a messed up past. When I look at the conflict between mc, he tends to lash out towards her a lot when he can’t express his emotions properly or is jealous. It makes mc look like his emotional punching bag at times and coz he’s more aggressive than her, she ends up get dragged by or is affected by his emotions a lot more than hers does his in a negative way. Mc ain’t right too but she never lashed out the way he did.
3-9 Mc ain’t right too but she never lashed out the way he did. Sure he apologized but I feel like it was dismissed and that behavior wasn’t addressed more seriously. him being forgiven so easily doesn’t seem to allow him the chance to experience the full consequences of his actions and he needs to learn he can’t always deal with his pain by self-harm if he did happen to lose mc.
4-9 and mc seems a little over depend on jk’s approval. If him not apologizing would be enough for her to shut down that bad, than it shows her dependence on him might be bordering on unhealthy. It feels like all her approval and acceptance of herself at this point stems from jk’s behavior and words towards her because as you mentioned, her friends wouldn’t be able to pull her out of that situation if she did shut down.
5-9 She seem to feel insecure when he’s not giving her the attention she wants coz of her insecurities of not measuring up. I’m not sure if she’s aware of that and if she is it’s not addressed as much. Her accepting his apologies feels like a temporary bandage to her deeper issues and enabling herself to be more dependent on him instead of a chance for her to face it alone and grow.
6-9 I feel mc needs more chances to find her own worth and love outside of jk. To know she don’t need his love to feel lovable and worthy since he’s not the best person to get it from. She also needs the chance to be stronger and take more assertion and power as well, to balance the power in their relationship because it feels v imbalance now.
7-9 She needs a bit more equal grounds and feel in control and know she has as much power as him. She’s missing this in both sex and her relationship with him since the type of man she likes - the dominant and caretaker type like jk who has a tendency to be in control, can hinder her from growing stronger and independent.
8-9 And jk kinda needs someone more assertive and put him in his place and don’t take no bs from him. Someone who’ll be willing to walk away and have a time out when needed instead of always accepting him back so easily after he apologizes when he messes up. I’m actually glad mc walked out & I wouldn’t blame her if she did decide to time out from him in this ch. I mean he needs to be treated w/ understanding but too much dismissing his behavior will only enable him to continue excuse his problematic side.
9-9 Change requires quite some time and I’m glad they talked it over. But I just felt the way it ended didn’t really addressed fully those toxic sides to their relationship when the negative influences they have on each other outweighs the positive so far. I don’t know if I’m making sense I’m not the best at explaining stuff. But of course they have a lot more room to grow too since the story is not over and I’m excited to see their relationship grow more. I honestly really love your writings and I’m so invested in the characters so I hope this doesn’t sound like I’m being hateful because your writing is amazing.

(edit: PC tumblr won’t let me use my pink font >:( )
So I’ve read over this very carefully multiple times and gave it a lot of thought because you pointed out a few things I hadn’t quite thought of or saw it in that type of angle before, so first of all, thank you! I NEVER want to portrayal a relationship that is toxic in a non intentional way, so let’s go ahead and dive on in.
Something I’ve tried to avoid is giving ‘excuses’ especially in the sense of using Jungkook’s background for it. Something I used to constantly say (and I should probably start saying again) yes he has a reason to act out the way he does, it does NOT mean it’s okay by any means. But in a way, we use our past experiences as human beings to guide us, bad experiences leave negative effects.
While we could argue Jungkook ‘needs to learn’ by suffering consequences (which to a degree I do agree because as a previous anon said he needs to be held accountable for his actions) it wouldn’t necessarily be effective in this situation because Jungkook is actually very self aware he can’t escape through self-harm or self destruction, he does understand his actions and what he is doing isn’t okay.
But that doesn’t mean he won’t make mistakes- or fuck up big time he’s extremely hotheaded and impulsive and it’s something he CONSTANTLY battles with, something I wanted to portray when writing tease is the very essence of humans, we can be self aware of our destructive tendencies and yet still do them without realizing it in the moment- only to catch ourselves realizing we did it later on. Which is what happened after their fight.
It’s a war between wanting to heal and become healthy while still struggling to let go of his ego and anger that get the better of him. It’s what makes him human, it doesn’t make it right by ANY means, but it’s a struggle of growth, and no matter how much we grow there will always be ups and downs and set backs. That was definitely something I wanted to portray in my writing, while we don’t see this internal battle in Jungkook as the fic isn’t in his POV we do get to see a lot of this in his journal entries.
This is however something we get to explore a little in the upcoming arc and it’s something we heavily explore after the upcoming arc.
Let me state again this probably still sounds like an excuse and it does not in ANY way mean to be, the only thing I can really do is just explain why I’ve written him this way. I can’t justify his actions or defend him (other then his charactization which still isn’t really defending him because it’s more to do in technicality of writing, if that makes sense?) because that would be enabling him and glorifying unhealthy relationships which we don’t do in this house 🤢
So let’s discuss a little about MC’s behavior, she is 100% dependent of Jungkook’s approval and praise and in a more unconscious way, that was pretty much what I was aiming for. But let’s take a look at their entire relationship through the eyes of the story, Jungkook and MC, in reality, set themselves up for this. Ever since they met they accidentally established a power dynamic-
(via mentor/trainee taken a little too seriously even Jimin states in chapter 2 ‘“You don’t see any of us grinding on our trainee’s, so what’s the difference Guk, hm?” Your lips parted at his words slightly, was he insinuating this wasn’t normal?’ This was the first clue that their mentor trainee relationship was not  normal compared to all of the others soloists who had trainee’s)
-that should have never been allowed to flourish before they really got to know one another. Because that’s the first step to what lead to all of this.
It first started innocently, MC just wanting to be seen as desirable by someone cute like Jungkook, and him being her mentor she wanted his approval on knowing she was doing well. But due to their natural tendency to fall into dom and sub combined with their already established mentor trainee without the foundation of a steady platonic friendship beforehand, it quickly descended more and more into MC needing his attention all the time, needing to know she was good enough and etc.
Really, this goes back to a previous ask I answered: Jungkook and MC have a lack of respect and knowledge for/of one another as people, as two individuals outside of the crumbling dynamic they established when they first met. I mean, sitting here thinking about it, I’m really not surprised it became such a toxic fest between them. They completely set themselves up for this unintentionally and now they’re going to have to learn is how to be a couple (and friends) without the power dynamic or else things are bound to fall apart.
Like you said change does take time and it’s something we’ll begin too see slowly developing between them both in the upcoming arc, but the one question that really struck me was your main one. We’re all aware of these toxic dynamics going on between them both, but why weren’t they addressed and talked about? I feel a little dumb for having to think about it when it feels so clear to me now. They themselves, don’t realize just how toxic their relationship has become, how are they supposed to when it’s been set up this way from the beginning? Their (unfair and unhealthy) power dynamic is all they’ve ever experienced one another through.
MC jumped out of one controlling relationship only to enter another more appealing one without realizing it and Jungkook has never even seen a healthy relationship let alone experience one. The only unhealthy aspect they are both aware of are the ridiculous double standards Jungkook had put on her in the past, because it’s the most blatant and dominant problem between them both. All of these other issues are more underlying and they are both oblivious too.
We’ve both said change takes time, but I think as Jungkook and MC begin to see each other as people outside of the power dynamic, and as they get to know each other as people and no longer as caretaker/little, sub/dom, mentor/trainee, these problems will eventually fix themselves, that doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t be orally addressed in the story. But from a writing perspective it leaves me to wonder how do I address this when they the characters aren’t even aware of how unhealthy their relationship is? That’s not really a question for you guys too worry about though lmao.
Anyways I’ll start wrapping things up but one last thing I really liked was your opinion on MC needing more independence and growth on her own. I can’t say for sure that’s what we’ll see in this upcoming arc but it’s something I’m definitely aiming for. As someone who though likes to submit I need a sense of autonomy and identity outside of someone else, so I can appreciate your words for MC!
I genuinely think they can be what they need for one another, but it’s always going to be a work in progress because as humans no one is perfect! It all boils down to what you’re willing to deal with in a relationship and what you aren’t, that of course isn’t an excuse to not work to become a better person or the best you can be! But a natural understanding. Anyways I hope I answered to the best of my ability, I said it once and I’ll say it again, I never ever ever want to portray a relationship that isn’t purposely set up toxically.
And that’s not too say I thought for a moment I had, because I’ve clearly stated in the past that this arc was specifically aimed at their toxicity, but it was more of a moment of panic that: ‘oh shit, I can NOT let this go on in the future of the story’ because like I’ve said before tease is all about character development, it won’t make them perfect but I want them to be a THOUSAND times better at the end of the story then where they are now.
Anyways no worries hun! I just hope this clarified a little bit! MC and Jungkook’s real relationship is only now just beginning to unfold in the upcoming arc, we’re only 1/3 of the way through the story so there’s still plenty of time! Thank you for sticking with it though no matter how frustrating the characters may be! I love getting asks that keep me on my toes, it helps keep me grounded and make sure I don’t accidentally become too biased to one narrative.
Thank you so much for sending in hun! ~~

Your Tsundere!Med post made me think of what if Medivh notices just how popular Khadgar is?
On one hand, Medivh’s proud of him. Khadgar’s come a long way from being that awkward punk that arrived on his doorstep so many years ago. Khadgar went from being tossed to Medivh to get rid of him to leading that same city. Medivh notices how Khadgar behaves around most other people. He’s funny and charming and even Medivh finds himself a little attracted to that. It’s only when Khadgar cracks some jokes he’s used himself that Medivh realizes: “Oh, he’s acting like me...” Flattery aside, it worries him, just how much is Khadgar acting and what’s he really feeling. There’s also Khadgar’s popularity. He is well liked. Getting visits from champions and old friends, getting gifts and care packages, and being fretted over and admired. Medivh feels jealous, not of Khadgar, but how he looks at his champions. There’s a certain glimmer in his eye, his tone becomes more genuine. It’s not practical getting jealous over Khadgar sharing that side of himself. It’s downright childish! But a darker part of Medivh feels that side of Khadgar is his. Medivh’s a little cold to Khadgar’s champion at first, he even becomes a little colder to Khadgar. He’s like a cat that’s been introduced to something new. Medivh doesn’t like it. Khadgar is urging them to get along because he cares about them both deeply. Moroes meanwhile is watching this shitshow in the background while borrowing the champion’s Darkmoon Faire popcorn toy. He’ll have words with Medivh later, he’s being a brat like his mother. But for now, it’s a trainwreck that’s entertaining to watch.
@ladymischievous
Now THIS is what I’m talking about. Possessive Med is my fav. (and maybe just a little bordering on creepy..)
And he notices things. Medivh is perceptive. He’s always talking about his champions.. They’re always THERE. And he feels..almost like a third wheel when with them because he’s missed a lot lbr. It’s been how many years?
He’s kind of on the out. He knows Khadgar but he doesn’t. On both sides they’re both learning who they other is now. They’ve both been through much and it changes you.
They’re the same…but different.
Khadgar’s attention used to be solely on him. That blind sort of hero worship. And you know some part of Med loved that. He’s as starved for love as Khadgar is.
It’s there still but..not. Khadgar is older. he can stand on his own two feet.
He doesn’t need him anymore.
And that..scares him?
He didn’t contact Khadgar after being resurrected for several reasons. First it was he thought he was dead on the other side of the dark portal so there’s that but you know he heard about it when he returned, alive and well.
But he didn’t go to him. Khadgar was better off without him surely. After everything he’d done to him? he needs to learn how to stand on his own two feet.
but now that he’s seeing the results of that..he’s not sure he likes the fact that it means sharing him.
To be fair Khadgar is quite honestly the only person Med has left. All his friends and family are dead.
And they always had a special connection (gay). An understanding that he’d  never had with anyone else. (and lbr as much as he’d scoff he adores Khadgar as much as Khadgar adores him)
And oh..he seems so close to these champions. The softer, genuine way he speaks to them,  the way he lights up when he sees them, a clear history between them (i dont necessarily mean romantic) that he knows nothing about, inside jokes he doesn’t get.
He’s an absolute third wheel when they’re around. (in his mind)
Khadgar goes to them for help. Emotional support even. Why not HIM? Okay he knows why but…
I’m fucking dying at the thought of someone being like “ay khadgar where’s your special pal.” and medivh who’s perched on his shoulder in raven form (he’s being low key okay) just PUFFS THE FUCK UP
SPECIAL PAL? What does THAT mean???? And he’ll mock him for it but he’s deeply disgruntled.
And presumably they never acted on romantic/sexual impulses back then (although the feelings were quite clearly there and still are) and he’s like woah wait a fucking second…he REALLY doesn’t like this.
And he’s so..petty. Like his mother.  Like who do these people think they are? They really think they know him? They don’t know him like he does. Right?
And it’s really a deep underlying fear that Khadgar doesn’t need or want him anymore. And that’s his…person. And they think they can take his place? Hmph. Doubtful..right?
It comes out as him being downright passive aggressive towards both Khadgar and the champion/s. (because he’s not about to sit khadgar down and talk about his feelings)
And for all narcissistic tendencies he’s deeply insecure in this. Because he doesn’t know where they stand right now anyway.
And he’s aware it’s childish. It’s a little creepy really how much he wants to keep Khadgar all to himself. Although he’d be satisfied with just knowing Khadgar wants him there.
He’s delighted come BFA when Khadgar comes to Karazhan. (To Him) It’s just them again. How it should be. With only the occasional visitor/visiting champion.
And they fall back into their rhythm but it’s still bothering him. And maybe he wants him to be his in ways that decidedly aren’t innocent. And it’s much harder to ignore now that there really isn’t anything standing in the way besides the uncertainty it’s reciprocated.
And maybe he’d be satisfied if claimed him the most intimate way one can. There’s his confirmation he’s special to him. There’s his assurance Khadgar is still his.
Alas, he’d rather not send Khadgar running in the other direction because he tried to get in his pants. (it wouldn’t but he doesn’t know that)
And in quite possibly the most primal petty way he hates the thought of someone touching his Khadgar. Someone seeing him like that, at his most vulnerable. He doesn’t like that at all. Nope.
He’d know how to take care of him. They wouldn’t.
And lbr Khadgar is having similar concerns. They’re both figuring out where they stand now.
Feelings are complicated :/
(hmm giving me ideas for that one collar fic..)
I feel so bad for Moroes tbh. But you know he finds it hilarious. If it gets too out of hand he’ll step in surely but oh..is it fun to watch Med get taken down a few pegs.
I’d feel bad for him if he wasn’t such a bitch ;)
\also I dont know why I made this but it wouldn’t get out of my head

Name: Paul Lawrence Birthday: April 8th (47) Species: Human Lookalike: JR Bourne Availability: Deceased
Personality
A gambling man, a alcoholic. There’s two sides to Paul depending on what you do and who you are. Towards Chester he’s a loving father, they joke, banter and have a great time, but towards his other son Dominic he’s cruel, unkind and downright nasty, the one who’s not afraid to whack him one when he steps out of line. He’s a man of no fear, a man who doesn’t take shit from anyone, someone who can be aggressive if forced to and he isn’t afraid of a fight.
Past
The Lawrence family had a reputation, depending on how much you paid attention left you knowing why their name was known. Was it because of the front they put up, with their businesses and the way they carried themselves leaving people not wanting to stand in their way. Or was it because they’d drive a stake through the heart of something that was deemed an abomination to this world? Paul’s father ran a tight ship and his mother was the perfect supporter, in everything he did. Even when she shouldn’t have been. With a family that consisted of more males than females, you could just imagine the way they grew up. His older brothers loved to rough him up, especially after his father had roughed them up for something they did. As a result, from a young age Paul learned how to defend himself which later on came in handy when it became clear what his father was expecting them to become. Hunt, that’s what his father wanted them to know how to do. His brothers began learning about all of it first, naturally, but it wasn’t long before Paul started learning about it all himself. Instead of just defending himself from his brothers he was being taught how to defend himself from otherworldly things. His eyes were opened up to the supernatural creatures that lurked around every corner, then how to injure and kill them. It was what he grew up on, that and tough love. He did everything as perfectly as he could so he wouldn’t get the disapproval of his father. When it came to being a hunter he always showed up and was his best but the older the got the more he wanted to indulge in his teenage years. He started drinking at a young age, started seeing just how many girls he could get, trying to hold onto what little normalcy he could. So when he met Angela, he wasn’t expecting it to become something as serious as it had but he got swept up in the relationship the two of them created. Young and in love, if only things had stayed that way. Angela was the first woman that Paul loved and she would be the only one he loved entirely in his life. When she became curious as to the times Paul had to quickly vanish from whatever plans they had going on, he slowly started to tell her the truth about the fact that he was a Hunter. Instead of turning around and walking out, she embraced the lifestyle, wanting to throw herself into it as well. His father wasn’t on board with her even knowing, so Paul took it upon himself to teach her things which really only brought the two of them closer together. He’d kill for her, she’d kill for him. It wasn’t your typical romantic story but it was theirs nonetheless. Things moved fast between the two of them, though it never felt fast for Paul, just natural. He knew that some day he’d want a family of his own, raise them a little differently than his father did with him and his brothers but he wasn’t necessarily aiming for it to happen at any point. So the news about Angela being pregnant, as much as it was a surprise, he didn’t see it as a bad thing whatsoever and he wouldn’t for a while. From the excitement of her pregnancy, Paul assumed the worry came of becoming a single mother for Angela. She asked him almost immediately to stop the hunting during her pregnancy so she wouldn’t be stressing herself over whether or not he’d come home. He wouldn’t put it off forever but for nine months? He figured he could manage until then to ensure that his son came out healthy and happy. November 24th, the day his first son was born. Dominic Lawrence, the innocent boy that would carry the blame of his parents split up. After Dominic’s birth and a bit of time to adjust to having a son, Paul was ready to go back to hunting. This got Angela acting crazy telling him not to go to which Paul didn’t understand. He wouldn’t budge, leaving Angela to tell him the truth about how she was able to get pregnant. His son was a result of a demon deal. A deal that wouldn’t allow him to be a hunter anymore, the very thing that he was made up of because if he did, that would mean danger to his son. Paul lost it afterwards, yelling and throwing things to show just how angry he was about, what to him was, a betrayal. He ended up leaving in the middle of his fit, disappearing two weeks from home most of which were spent drunk or passed out because he had gotten so drunk. He picked himself up afterwards, went home to tell Angela he was leaving her, see Dominic, and pack up his things. Angela being worried that he’d go out and hunt, aimed a gun at him which he was able to grab ahold of telling her that he wouldn’t put his sons life in danger. That was the last conversation the two of them had. It wasn’t long after that, that Paul met Sienna. It wasn’t the same as when he had been with Angela, but he wasn’t the same. Her family didn’t like him so much but he didn’t really care for their approval, especially when he found out she was pregnant. Whether they liked it or not, he’d be in her life as the father of her child. Since he could no longer hunt, Paul had picked up another way to keep his mind distracted. Gambling, something that Sienna wasn’t at all happy with and the constant drinking didn’t make it any better. He didn’t like finding out about the magic her family carried. Eventually she packed her things and moved with her sister and Paul decided that was the end of holding out for anything long-term again. As Dominic grew up Paul would see him as often as he could, the younger years consisting of someone other than Angela bringing him over for him to spend some time with while Chester and his mother were still living at home. The older the two boys got though, the more Paul would notice how he mistreated Chester, having to get in the middle of it constantly which only left him punishing Dominic for all the things he would end up doing. It got to the point where, for a couple years, he wouldn’t allow Dominic around Chester. He always couldn’t help but wonder if the way Dominic was, was because of the fact that he was the result of a demon deal. Deep down he knew everything his oldest son turned into was a result of how Paul reacted to what Angela did and the way he continued to handle it as he grew up, but he refused to see it as so. Chester on the other hand, the older he got their relationship was never a bad one. Even when Sienna left him, taking Chester with her, whenever he was around Chester the two of them would get along much better than Paul had ever gotten with Dominic. The older the both boys got though, the more intense their fights did as well, eventually Paul stopped getting in between their scuffles partially because his father hadn’t stopped him and his brothers growing up and the other reason being he was drunk, gambling, with a girl or some of those combined. That was what became of his life, he drowned himself in those things along with resentment and a whole lot of it. Every time he had to look at Dominic not only did he think of everything that came from his birth, but the resemblance of his mother didn’t help either. So when he was old enough and he stopped coming around Paul never pushed for them to see one another. He spent much more time with Chester, but it had always been that way and unlike with Dominic he would still see Sienna, landing in bed together over the years despite their split. One of those times ended up with her being pregnant, another son who was now seven years old, the baby of the three, and another son he gave more attention to than his first. Despite the hardships and, essentially, addictions Paul had carried on with his life as best as he thought he could have. So the day that he quite literally dropped dead, well, that should have been the end of the line for him.
Present
Gone from dead to alive, by someone who’s had a history with his family. Dante brought Paul back out of spite of Dominic. Knowing how much Dominic hates his father, he thought it would be great fun to bring daddy back. Paul knows his sons are in Mystic Falls, so has come on a mission to once again be the border between Dominic and Chester from killing each other. Though, coming back from the dead is going to give him his own problems in itself.
Connections
Chester Lawrence
He and Chester have always been very close to one each other, they can talk freely about most things, and they’ve never had any issues.
Angela Lawrence
The ex. The woman he left because of a deal he couldn’t agree with. As with Dominic, he also has a very strained relationship with his mother. .
Dominic Lawrence
On the outside it appears if Paul blames Dominic for everything, he sees the child as the reason why he left Angela, but in-fact he was only trying to protect him and wants to tell him the truth.
Dante
The demon that Angela had made the deal with and is now the same one bringing him back for the dead.

PRESENT Gone from dead to alive, by someone who’s had a history with his family. CONNECTIONS Chester Lawrence: He and Chester have always been very close to one each other, they can talk freely about most things, and they’ve never had any issues. Angela Lawrence: The ex. The woman he left because of a deal he couldn’t agree with. As with Dominic, he also has a very strained relationship with his mother. Dominic Lawrence: On the outside it appears if Paul blames Dominic for everything, he sees the child as the reason why he left Angela, but in-fact he was only trying to protect him and wants to tell him the truth.
Dante: The demon that Angela had made the deal with and is now the same one bringing him back for the dead.
