Not to dig up and defibrillate an almost sixteen year old drama at this point but when you watch back early revival Doctor Who back to back as a television show instead of a delirious multi-year childhood fandom experience it becomes harder and harder to avoid talking about the way the show and the fandom treated Martha Jones as a character being the major reason people don't remember that the series she was in is 100% the best series of the RTD1 era and it's not remotely fucking close.

#Human Nature/The Family of Blood I would honestly still rate as one of the best reboot Who stories of all time #And then you've got Gridlock and Blink of course #And the whole Master three-parter #The worst episode of the whole series I would say is probably either 42 (fun enough but filler-ey) or The Lazarus Experiment #(has CGI that hasn't aged well but if you can't get past that hoo boy you are not going to find Series 2 defensible on a rewatch)#Frankly I would also encourage you to rewatch the Daleks In Manhattan two parter #Now you have the context of having had more than four dalek stories in the entire show #It's weaker as dalek stories go but it's really not bad at all #it's fun
