I love blogs that are mean about s/mgirls, i love fandom rivalries, it cracks me up, obvs they have to be non D/sticule you know cuz i just really hate them

i love your metas so much because they retrospectively make my watches of the show better. like id often finding myself frustrated with or angry at sam, but i could never articulate why.

but reading your takes on sam fills in those gaps because i related hard to dean and felt sam was being unfair to dean but i was like 14 and felt like i was the one being unfair to sam since i couldnt find the words to explain my feelings. the fandom having many very vocal samgirls and far too many people wanting to "debate" whether john was abusive did not help.

but having followed you for a while, i now have the words to articulate why i found sam annoying, but im more sympathetic toward sam as well. i understand him better, even if i think he can be a completely self-centred arrogant dick a lot of the time.

<3 Very relatable—Sam can drive you absolutely crazy! I get mad at him all of the time! But it's also just like you said—if you can make sense of him—work on understanding some of the context and what motivates him—he becomes a lot more interesting and a lot easier to bear.
