WHOAAA OK major fucking difference in the official english translation for The Scene

This is one of those times I really wish I knew which one was closer to the original meaning. Man
#I like 'prefer' the second one but I do like Aikawa kind of like#'breaking character' for just a second to make Nikaido feel better#I think the second ones more consistent though and you know the Goodbye is right after this. Also alot more subtle which#like makes the scene alot sadder I feel. Makes it more unclear whether or not hes faking#So its just possible at this point Kaiman doesnt remember his friend at all and everything#And obviously the whole 'why the fuck is kaiman pretending not to know Nikaido.' thing is heartbreaking anyway#I am also just guessing with all the errors in the official translation that ones closer to#the original intent but like I dont KNOWWWW you know
