I always find it a little funny when I hear a youtuber say how much they hate doing interiors on builds, just as someone who apparently always defaults to making my main base underground. You know, where it’s like 90% just interiors
#i mean on my solo world I've built quite a bit above ground#so it's not ALL interiors#but my actual base is all underground save for the two entrances#and I still tend to add underground rooms on other builds#And even when I don't add an underground room#I still decorate the interiors a LOT lol#Then again I'm not making mega bases#I mean I'd still probably decorate interiors but I can FULLY understand not wanting to at that point lmao#lee speaks

Bung-yeo-ppang
(masterlist)
🐟pairing: bsf!yeosang x gn!reader 🐟genre: fluff, friends to lovers, long distance 🐟summary: during what you think is a simple trip to visit your best friend, some not so simple feelings come to light, but what can you do when the one you adore is just oh so sweet? 🐟wordcount: 3.5k 🐟warnings/tags: unedited, and they were besties, who yearn, but don't want to ruin things so they keep yearning, yeosang is too precious, yeo and reader live in different countries, no specific locations mentioned, bungeoppang appreciation, confessions, eating, food, much love language-ing, one mild curse word 🐟taglist: at the bottom <3 🐟a/n: to the wonderful, beautiful lheo, i love you. the happiest birthday to you, @starrysvn
Have you ever fallen in love?
Sometimes, it could be as simple, but beautiful, as the rays of sunshine that come to rest on thousands of eternal green leaves on a chilly winter day. Other times, it could be as brutal as the freezing, merciless gusts of wind that carry flurries of snow across abandoned city streets. For you, well, for you, you were not sure if you even wanted to dive into those feelings and explore them, but when faced with love in every way, shape and form, you could add to the definition.
Sometimes, love could be unexpected, but at the same time, something you have always subconsciously known, much like the taste of a pastry you have never tried, but could imagine in astonishing detail.
Between countries, between what felt like huge stages in your life, you were caught between a rock and a hard place. Whether it was reality that looked so threatening or the admonishing voice inside your head, a swift escape to something, or rather someone you adored turned out to be not just something you desperately wanted, but also needed. Or at least that was what you had told yourself - no strong feelings, just the comfort of someone who knew better than you knew yourself.
The flight was a blur, the train ride to the hotel, too, was much the same. Of course, your friend was very adamant on you coming to stay with him, but you did not want to impose. After all, out of the two of you it was you who was on vacation, while he still had to commit to the daily grind of waking up at seven in the morning at the latest and tackling commuter hell in the underground tunnels. But that ‘enticing’ picture did not stop your friend from immediately booking a couple of days off, despite your insistence that ‘you would be fine’ and ‘you would find your way’. Apparently, Yeosang could be stubborn when he wanted to be. Not that it was a surprise for you after having known him since you had cried over multiplication and division together.
Had it really been that long? The question plagued you as you regarded the view out of your hotel room - it was a challenge to find a hotel that was not extortionate but still had some visual breathing space, but worth it. You wondered where Yeosang was right now. You had messaged him as soon as you landed, and then again as soon as you arrived at the hotel, but still, nothing. Perhaps it was a sign that what you thought to be polite talk was in fact the reality, and you would be mainly alone.
Jet lag and overall fatigue hit you like a sledgehammer, and you allowed yourself to finally collapse on the bed. While massaging your temples, you pondered whether to brave the freezing outdoors or to laze around this evening and embark upon an adventure tomorrow. Apparently, a certain someone else had the answer ready for you. Incessant vibrations of your phone startled you into semi-wakefulness, and you quickly realised that the dialler was none other than your best friend. In one swipe, you were met with this face, barely visible behind a thick scarf and hat. Clearly, he was outside. His voice was muffled, partially by the clothing and partially by the traffic. But with one flip of the camera, you were met with the facade of your hotel. You did not need to be told what to do.
Foregoing any outerwear, you rushed down the corridor and into one of the many elevators to hurry to the lobby, where you agreed to meet. You spotted him faster than he could spot you, and slowing to a more socially acceptable amble, you stalked towards Yeosang until you could tap his shoulder. You swore if you could see the smile he graced you with upon turning around every day, you would be in an eternal paradise. He was the sun to your moon, the summer to your winter, the calming waves, the freshly fallen snow. It was too easy to construct poetry about him in your mind, but far too challenging to ever let the lines slip, so you resort to giving him a gentle, but meaningful embrace.
“I’m so happy to see you, I missed you-” you whispered, eyes tracing every feature of his face as if you wanted to memorise them all.
“I missed you more, it has been too long,” this voice that you could listen to forever. You sighed. This was your home.
“Shall we go up?”
“Oh! Am I allowed?”
“Why not?” he simply shrugged, happily following you with a smile dancing on his lips. You made a note of the bags that he was diligently carrying with him, wondering if he had done some shopping for himself before going home.
When in the room, you made a beeline for the suitcase to search for presents you had packed for Yeosang: all the snacks he had fallen in love with when he was a kid, and those he missed dearly when he settled into work in the big city halfway across the globe, along with some accessories and trinkets that screamed “Yeo” to you. Once you were done and Yeosang had finished his miniature balancing game of trying to get his large puffer coat to hang on one of the wall hooks and not succumbing to gravity, you cheerfully beckoned him closer, only to be met with the two bags.
“Gift exchange!” you mildly hated yourself for how fast your heart started beating.
Somehow, it only got worse when you and him sat down on the bed to give in-person reviews and impressions, and you had to bear witness to every delighted exclamation, restrain yourself from staring at the sparkles in Yeosang’s eyes as he stumbled upon some hair clips in his favourite red, down to the shade, and had to bite down on your lower lip when he enthusiastically adjusted his hairstyle to accommodate one of them, and immediately launched into the other presents.
His gifts for you looked like a dossier, in all honesty. It was a study of what you adored and what you had expressed your interest in to him over one call or other. You attempted to discreetly place a heart over your chest to make sure that you were still somehow alive. So far so good, but when you spotted a box, and within it, a leather bracelet with intricate metal studs, one of them having a quote from one of your favourite songs engraved, you could not help but whisper out your friend’s name.
“What’s wrong? What’s up? Ah, if that’s not okay with you I can go take it ba-”
“I LOVE IT. HOW DARE YOU. KANG YEOSANG,” you shot back, a hand resting on his shoulder.
His benevolent nonchalance had always astounded you. Clearly, this quality of his never left him, for even now, his demeanour did not change, aside from the redness appearing on the very tips of his ears, and a soft pursing of the lips. And there it was. His laugh. Your music.
“Wel, I am very glad. I’m sorry it isn’t too much, you literally brought life back to me through your gifts I-”
“Again, don’t you- YEO IS THIS A TRAVEL CARD?!”
“...yes, I set it up and topped it up and everything, so you should be okay to travel all the-”
“Yeosang let me just-”
“Hm?” you faltered. What did you want to do? What were you about to say?
“Ah, nothing.”
“Okay,” another quality in Yeosang that you could not help but adore.
You knew that he was fully aware that you were on the verge of spilling a kind of truth that you did not even have a wholehearted awareness of, but in the split second that you changed your mind, he did too. He was not interested in what you were uncomfortable with sharing, and at lightning speed, erased it from his memory. What you did not say to him was not yours to ache over, and not his to pry out of you. Certainly there were moments when he had been insistent and you had your fair share of deep conversations, but Yeosang could strike a magical balance, reassuring you with a soft smile. He was a gift. You looked at him as he opened one of the snacks, feeling the gears turning in your head.
This trip was going to be a lot more than you had anticipated.
Oh you could not be more wrong. If you had anything in mind before, you should have amplified it by infinity, because you were not prepared for what Yeosang had in store. From taking you to historical parks to raiding shop after shop to indulging in the most delicious dishes at family owned restaurants, your day to day was nothing short of spectacular. Every other photo in your camera roll was Yeosang or the two of you together, not that you minded, and your suitcase was rapidly starting to protest against the sheer volume of things that you were adding to your return luggage. What had made you begin believing that this was all a fever dream, however, were the changes that you had observed in your friend.
He was more attentive than you had ever known him to be, more open to initiating conversation and so actively taking the lead to show you around the city he now called his home that you were left breathless. He was in his element, but he was trying his hardest to make this your element too. Your pre-flight demands for yourself to not feel were demolished, and with every step you took by his side you could feel yourself falling deeper and deeper into the chasm that was your infatuation with Yeosang that you could not bear to combat the orchestra-worthy arrangement of premonitions, conclusions and assumptions any longer.
Time flew past. There were still a few days left, yet you were already mourning. Truth be told, you had been in that state upon your arrival, but you had a stronger resolve and the desire to spend your time with value and positivity. Nothing in the world could convince you that you would be happier in the trenches of routine life, and away from whoever Yeosang was to you. In the weeks that you had spent with him, it was harder and harder to figure out the limits and lines. It had been easy in school when you would focus more on your studies and were essentially each other’s free therapists. It was difficult in university when distance separated you, but even then, you had gotten used to it. Or maybe, in hindsight, it was simply a wound that you had put a bandaid on and decided that you could walk through life just fine, and now, seeing Yeosang again, talking to him again, being with him again, opened this wound up to show that it had never healed.
He meant too much to you, to put it simply. Yeosang was too entangled in your soul for you to ever disregard the impact he had made on you and the effect that he continued to have on your life. His every text mattered, every silly reel he would send mattered, even the wildest photos were priceless to you. You cared about the colour of his hair, about whether his company had his favourite lunch on offer today. You felt uneasy when you sensed that something was wrong with him, and you felt like you were on cloud nine when he shared good news with you. For the longest time, you thought that this was normal for friendships, but now when he was holding your hand as he led you through one of the many street markets, it hit you. No, friendship was not enough.
You felt greedy. Yeosang had been in your life for so long and you still wanted more. How could you? The evil thoughts in your brain were yelling at you ceaselessly - you should quit him while you still could, you should let him do what he wanted to do, and that was nothing to do with you. A burden, a burden so big that you did not even even realise it. Yeosang was just too nice to ever tell you all of this. You could feel tears starting to well up in your eyes; with a shaky breath you tried to blink them away before your friend could see them. Your hand started to slip, or maybe it was your busy mind trying to pry you away from him, but much to your dismay, Yeosang only gripped it tighter and urged the two of you on.
He had mentioned that there was a specific stall he wanted the two of you to visit, but the market only opened closer to night time. So, after a lot of stumbling about the city, hopping from neighbourhood to neighbourhood and enjoying local life, he led the way to this bustling haven. You could not help but feel selfish, drowning in your own misery while Yeosang was trying with all his might to share with you what you could see was a piece of his heart. Everything in you ached. You did not want this to end, you did not want to let Yeosang go, but you had to, for everyone’s sake, or at least this was the idea that you had convinced yourself was the only correct path.
“We’re here! Wait a moment, I’ll get a couple for us!” Yeosang let go of you, and with a quick gesture of the hands and a grin, walked to the lady selling what you knew to be bungeoppang. Sweet pastry filled with whatever the heart desired, traditionally with red bean, of course. Of course, Yeosang would bring you to try the one thing you mentioned you never had gotten. You glanced at the night sky.
“So, I got one red bean and one choux-cream, the first one as you probably know is the original, but the cream one is quite tasty too. There are some other flavours, so, if you like these we can get some others too,” he was rambling, but it was far too endearing to ever pause. It was like a beautiful melody that flowed and flowed, soothing you.
“Bung-yeo-ppang.”
“Sorry?” he tilted his head while stretching out his hands, waiting for you to choose which pastry to try first.
“Bung-yeo-ppang, isn’t it?”
It did not take long for Yeosang to erupt in a fit of giggles. You managed to take the red bean bungeoppang out of his hand before he leaned forward slightly in an attempt to compose himself.
“Maybe time for a rebrand, my name is made for it,” he was all smiles, biting into the other pastry and savouring the rich, warm flavour, “delicious as always, what do you think?”
“Fantastic, give me fourteen of them right now,” you joked, but when you noticed Yeosang’s brief rise of the eyebrows and a tentative hand reaching into his pocket to find his wallet, you had to very rapidly track back, “Yeo, I was joking I-”
“Oh do you not like them? I’m sorry,” with full understanding and sincerity he answered you, immediately confused why you started to wave his remarks off.
“No!! I mean about the ‘fourteen’ part… I don’t think I am ready for that kind of an investment yet.”
“Not until I open my own stall, that is,” he answered back, grinning playfully, “you’d visit, right?”
For some reason, this question seemed to carry a lot more weight than what one would expect of an innocent play-pretend. Would you visit him? In general, sometimes, at all? When? Judging by the sudden intensity of his gaze, it was clear that you were not alone in your ruminations.
“I-”
“I know I’m not really… to everyone’s tastes but-” you could see that he was drifting between meaning one thing and another. Your heart hurt deeply. What was he assuming you thought of him?
“Yeo…”
“I- I am just. Happy. Yeah. Happy, like this. I’m sorry I-”
“Me too,” you captured his hand in yours before he could turn away. You saw he was misty-eyed, but chose not to comment, instead emphasising, “I’m always happy with you. And yes, I would visit your stall. Hell, I would live in it,” he smiled at your words, though there was a hint of melancholy that settled in his features.
Your gaze drifted down to your hands - a rather bold move on your part since you rarely ever initiated more personal contact. A touch here, a touch there, sure, but this? This was you listening to yourself for once. Instead of racing away from the sensation, you lightly bit the inside of your cheek and intertwined your fingers with his.
“If anything, it is me who is being very silly right now,” you mumbled, taking another bite of the pastry, noticing it having rapidly cooled down. You couldn’t meet Yeosang’s eyes, nor could you look at your hands, so you just studied the depths of red bean paste, wondering if you could dissolve in it right this second.
“What?”
“I mean… Look at me, a loon who flew across the world to waste your time. How’s that?”
“What are you saying-”
“And for what? I mean, yes, I am having the most amazing time but you must be so tired playing tour guide and working and doing all these other things-”
“You’d do the same for someone you love, right?”
You froze. With a quick tug, you followed Yeosang out of the market towards the side streets where there were noticeably less people. Upon finding a quiet alley, he stopped, and lowered himself a little to find your face. His words were ringing in your head and you were trying to make sense of them. It was agonising to try and decipher whether it was pity or reciprocation, and you barely registered a soft “right?” being repeated to you, this time right next to your ear. Unknowingly, your fingers clasped Yeosang’s hand tighter, and he stepped closer towards you.
“It’s okay,” you knew exactly why he was saying this. Again, caring, gentle Yeosang, precious soul. He was giving you a way out. One that you were not going to take, not this time, not ever.
“I would.”
“Hm?”
“I would do the same. I’m sorry. I sounded so damn ungrateful it is-”
“I understand, really, I do and-”
“I am horribly in love with you, Kang Yeosang.”
You took in his expression. His mahogany eyes that you could bet contained flecks of gold and sunshine. His rosy lips that were parted ever so slightly. His hair, now a cherry red that you had helped him dye it to peeking out from under a black, fluffy bucket hat. Your heart was on the table, along with the many years that you had spent with and thinking about your friend, and the many years in the future that you were either going to cherish, or curse, or spend comfortably numb in the absence of the one who would always have your heart.
“I hope it’s not too horrible, because loving you, for me, is magical, and very sweet,” you blinked once, twice before asking:
“Huh? Since when-”
“Hm… university, give or take? I think? Maybe earlier. Either way I kind of accepted that whatever happens I would love you anyways. So…”
“So… uhm, shall we try? I don’t know… I mean I am leaving in a few days and the distance is-”
“Since when did that stop us? Besides, we can figure things out as we go. That is what we have always done. Main thing is to not hide things. Isn’t that what you tell me all the time?” You nodded. Indeed, after a few too many occasions when Yeosang had not shared his troubles with you or denied your help, you had made it a point to check in on him, and this habit had never stopped even with many countries separating you.
As you glanced at one another and, with a timid “may I?” you closed the space between the two of you, you realised that, no matter the filling, no matter the sugar content, no matter what, nothing could ever be as sweet as him. You really would travel all those miles again and again even if just for one single moment like this, knowing that he would always do the same for you - your favourite, your only, yours truly, Yeosang.

Halloooo, I'd like a platonic Aizawa x reader where the reader is a student of his and tries to do EVERYTHING to not be in the Limelight bc they hate the attention? Also, they're planning on becoming an underground hero :33 Remember to drink water <33
Thank you for the request! I really had a lot of fun writing this, it was nice to write again after my break!
Stay hydrated, everyone!
You had been on aizawas radar from the first day of school. You never joined any clubs and participated in any school events. He's never seen you openly interact with anyone in your class aside from a quiet "yes" or "no." Although you performed well at the festival, you went home the second you had won your fight. Your lunches were spent in an empty classroom, so you'd avoid the groups of your classmates. He's not even sure anyone knows your name. Public speaking and being social is part of the job so when the first month of school ended and he noticed you still werent participating in any clubs or sports teams he took the opportunity to put you in on the PA with mic.
You'd be let out of class five minutes early to make your way down to the PA room and announce school news and maintenance. "Hey listener! Are you ready to get to work?" The blond yelled, and you nodded."Alright! So here's what you need to read. Don't be shy to add your own funky twist!" He handed you a sheet of paper,"just keep it school appropriate. " he laughed, and you glanced over the paper just the usual. Staircase B is out due to quirk mishaps and a new lunch special "so.. do I just read it?" You asked, staring at the PA system. The thought of the whole school hearing your voice made your stomach turn. "Yep! There's nothing else to it! Here." He stood up from his seat and motioned for you to sit."Are you ready?" He asked "uh-"great! " he didn't give you time to finish he pushed down on a bright red button in front of the microphone before saying his opening phrase "hey hey hey listeners! It's your one and only present mic and" he motioned for you to say your name "y-y/n" You stated, your voice breaking a bit " and we have a few updates to share with you guys! So y/n take it away!" He motioned for you to announce "u-uhm for today's announcement, uhm... s-staircase B is out of order, and uh, because of" you tried to be confident, but the words died on your tongue instead tears welled up in your eyes and present mic put a hand on your head before taking over and finishing the announcements. When the announcements were finished and turned to talk to you but your seat was empty, and the door was ajar.
~~~~~~~~~~
Aizawa stared blankly at you. "You want to be... an underground hero?" He repeated your words, and you nodded. "That's a first for 1a," he chuckled quietly to himself. You stared at the classroom floor and waited for him to speak again. " Why?" He asked before picking up a sheet from an earlier test and marking a few questions "w-well I don't think I handle the public as well as everyone else. You probably heard how I was on the PA system. And with the way my quirk works, I think it'd be better to work underground. Plus, I think it'd be a great opportunity for me to keep my identity a secret. " You rambled a bit anxiously, but your teachers focus still remained on the sheet. "Y/n, I get what you're saying. I really do." He started,"but you need to learn how to socialize if you want to be a hero. " he stated,"b-but!" He raised his hand, cutting you off."No buts. What if you need to control a crowd? Or help a lost child? Even if you become an underground hero that won't change what you need to learn, you frowned a little and sighed before turning back to your desk to get your bag and leave. "But." You turned to face him."If you can learn to effectively socialize and stay on the PA system for the rest of the school year, I'll mark you as an underground hero, " he said then turned his attention right back to the sheet of paper. You smiled and thanked him before leaving the classroom and shutting the door behind you.
kidnapping 101
synopsis: who dared kidnap you? you were the mafia boss of your city who the hell had the audacity to pull a move this big?
warnings: guns, kidnapping, swearing, mafia stuff yk but like its comedic? so its not srs or angsty
w/c: 2.6k
a/n: put off posting this bcs i wanted to add more plot more word count but then that anon said they dont read long fics anyway so i cbb. it's implied momo x reader but it can also just be everyone friends yay
.ࠢ࠘ ⸝່ࠡࠣ᠊߯᠆ࠣ࠘ᡁࠣ࠘᠊᠊°.~♡︎
you had a straw bag pulled over your head and felt hands shoving you into a hard wooden chair, hands tied behind your back. you huff, unbelieving of the situation you've found yourself in, but try to keep yourself collected enough to assess the situation and to not let your attackers know they had caught you by surprise.
you doubt anyone could guess you were a mafia boss in your day life. you were just another university student after all. funnily enough, university students were also your main customer base, they needed cheap, accessible drugs, and you provided. though they never dealt with you personally, you were worth much more than rookie errand runs and simple intimidation.
so how the fuck did these people find out who you were?
you were captured coming out of the university library, you weren't even up to anything illegal today. you just wanted to get away from all the responsibilities underground and actually get some study done for once. you didn't get to catch a glimpse of your assailants before you were drugged and fell unconscious.
you strain your ears, trying to hear the muffled whispering going on.
"-what? what do we do now?"
"how am i supposed to know?!."
"i don't know you're smarter than me!"
"ugh oh my god i can't believe nayeon put us up to this. did we really just drug someone?! wait fuck- look she's waking up-"
the bag is pulled off your head and you snarl unceremoniously, blinking to adjust to the dim light in the room, quickly surveying your surroundings and tugging on your restraints to check on them.
huh. they were only loosely tied up, you could get out of these easily.
you squint at the two girls in the room, they had to be around your age, but you had never seen them before. they weren't on any of your watchlists and you'd know if they belonged to rival mafia gangs.
"who are you?" you demand, voice authoritative and loud, forcing them to shrink back into one another, unsure of what to do.
"w-who are you?!" one of them squeaks out.
you blink.
"you two drugged and kidnapped someone you didn't know?"
they exchange glances, before looking back at you, "well... when you put it like that..."
"momo!"
"what?! she's right sana! what are we doing?!"
"i don't know!"
"neither do i!"
you watch them bicker, fiddling with your restraints and slowly undoing them without catching their attention.
"okay that's enough. who asked you to capture me?"
their faces whip back to yours, one of them, momo, speaks up again. "um... i'm pretty sure we're not meant to tell you that."
"nayeon right?"
she gasps, "are you a mind-reader?!"
you scoff, "i heard you talking when i was waking up."
momo mutters to herself, blushing for having thought otherwise.
"who is nayeon?"
sana speaks up this time, "our friend."
"and your friend asked you to... kidnap me for what reason?"
"erm..." they look at each other again, silently communicating and nervously flitting their eyes around the room, "we're not entirely sure."
"are you two her slaves or something?"
"what?! no!"
"then why are you doing whatever she asks?"
"because she's our friend!"
"right... slaves."
they frown at each other, unsure of themselves.
"so you both don't know who i am?"
"no. should we?"
you're interrupted then, the door to the room opening loudly and another woman striding in.
she pauses when she sees you, blinking slowly, and then she turns on her heel, eyes ablaze and in panic.
"guys who the fuck is this?!"
"how are we supposed to know?! you asked us to kidnap them!"
"what the fuck?! i didn't ask for you to kidnap anyone! i asked for you to steal the answers to the exam next week!"
"no you didn't!"
"yes i did!"
"that's not what you said momo!" sana turns to momo, pointing a finger at her accusingly.
"wha- nayeon you told me you needed to interrogate the person who wrote the exam!"
"that was a joke momo i didn't mean literally!"
"you need to specifiy!"
"what?! why would you think i meant kidnap them?! that's not normal!"
"i thought you were doing it for the thrill or something!"
"sana! why didn't you stop her?!"
sana shrinks, hiding behind momo, "i dunno you've asked us to do some pretty weird stuff before nayeon... it wasn't that out of line."
"what!? like what?!"
"don't put me on the spot! i can't think of anything right now! like- like- like that time you asked us to set off fireworks and we ended up setting the school on fire!"
"that wasn't- you weren't meant to build a bonfire in the middle of an empty classroom! of course the fire would catch!"
"that was my idea...." momo pouts, looking adorably embarrassed.
nayeon sighs, turning back to you, "i'm sorry for all this. this has been a major misunderstanding. are you- do you want us to do anything for you? you won't take this to the police or anything right..?"
you chuckle, the situation absurd to you, how two girls managed to kidnap the most powerful mafia boss in the city by accident.
your thoughts are interrupted by hushed bickering behind nayeon.
"what are we gonna do about the drugs?"
"i don't know give them back to the person that gave them to you."
"they looked scary though..."
"momo why did you accept drugs from a random person anyway?"
"we needed a sedative to kidnap them!"
"you did what?!" nayeon flips around again, eyes comically wide.
momo flinches, backing up into sana who yelps when the other girl steps on her foot in haste, "erm- we- uh..."
"you drugged them?!"
"well-"
nayeon's flipping around to you again, going as far as to bow down and get on her knees, putting her forehead to the floor and apologising profusely, "i'm so sorry! i'll take responsibility for their actions please don't take this the wrong way we really didn't mean to and this has all just been a big misunderstanding-"
you can't help but burst into laughter, shoulders sagging in relief now that you realise you're not in any real danger and your identity was still safe.
they look between each other a little confused, still concerned you were going to turn them in or ask them to do something for you that would be less than ideal. you think it's very cute honestly, you were always surrounded by too-serious mafia security and people asking you what to do, it was refreshing to be around people who knew how to let loose a little. money was important to you as a mafia boss, but you wished your organisation knew how to have relax a little more, the bad guys were always meant to be more lively after all.
"sorry- this is just quite funny, i don't think i've laughed like that in a long time."
they exchange nervous glances again, keeping their distance. you stand, having undone your restraints long ago, stretching a little with a curious glint in your eyes.
sana and momo gape at you, "h-how did you- were you always- didn't we tie you up?"
you shrug, shaking your hands loose for effect, "they weren't hard to undo."
"o-oh... wait who are you again?"
you stretch out a hand to the three of them, "l/n y/n. nice to meet you all. and you can relax, i won't be pressing any charges. you're safe."
"r-right..." nayeon comes forward and shakes your hand gingerly, letting it go as soon as she could and shrinking back next to the other two.
you raise an eyebrow, "so where'd you get such a strong sedative momo? it's alright if i use your names right?"
"y-yes of course." nayeon responds for her, but momo looks back at you, thinking before she replies.
"erm... well i was kinda just asking around outside the campus bar- obviously i didn't say we were going to use it to kidnap you, i just thought uni students might have some sort of access to like party drugs or whatever. i didn't realise it was going to knock you out like that-"
"and who gave you this drug?"
"erm... he was one of the older students i think... the most notable thing about him was his hair. he had big orange hair, curly, it made him kinda look like a clown."
your eyebrows crease together in a frown, so that's why the drug had worked so well. it was one of your own. you were only asking momo to see if there was suddenly new competition around campus for your drug business, but it seemed kim heechul, one of your drug pushers, had made moves of his own.
"what did he say to you?"
"he just told me what kind of drug it was. he didn't even ask me to pay actually- that was the main reason i took it. he just said if i was looking to have a good time this would be the perfect drug for it."
your mind works quickly, piecing the pieces together, anger bubbling up inside you at the realisation of one of your employee's actions.
"a-are... are you okay y/n?" momo looks concerned, stepping forward hesitantly.
you purse your lips, "i'm sorry momo. i just need to make sure... you didn't take any of this drug for yourself did you?"
she frowns, "no. why are you asking?"
you breathe a sigh of relief, "that's good. you three may not know this, but the drug you used to sedate me was mine. i kind of... control the drug market at our uni. i probably should've said that in my introduction to you all. i'm a mafia boss. it's also why i'd never go to the police and turn you in, that'd probably be exactly what they wanted... me to waltz right into a police station where they could hold me indefinitely."
they stare at you in shock, slowly coming to their senses.
"wait so... why would you tell us this? are you not afraid we'll turn you in?"
you laugh, "no. because we're at what you'd call an impasse. you turn me in and i turn you in. so the best solution for both of us is to do neither."
"oh..."
"anyway, i'm sorry you had to go through that momo. the ass that gave you those drugs has already been on a short leash. he probably intended for you to take the drugs and to take advantage of you while you were out. i may run one of the biggest crime organisations in the city but i still have morals. i mean- don't get me wrong i can see why he'd want you you're drop-dead gorgeous but if it were me, i'd just ask you out like any other normal person."
they stare at you while you ramble, still trying to process all the information they were learning, and trying to match their stereotype of a mafia boss in their heads to the girl their age dressed in an oversized hoodie and fluffy pyjama pants in front of them.
momo squeaks, "o-oh!"
"-like you're kind of adorable and really you're just my type which also grosses me out because why do i have the same type as that clown kim heechul- like you don't gross me out sorry i didn't mean for it to sound like that although i think it's quite well established by now that i think you're really attractive so it's definitely not you and kim heechul is definitely getting shot and-"
"woah! woah woah slow down i don't think anyone needs to get shot- um and it's okay you don't need to apologise- i probably should've known better than to take free drugs from a random person on the street..."
you frown, "don't say that. why don't you come under me? i wouldn't want anyone taking advantage of you like that again. and you won't have to worry about stupid stuff like whether or not it's your fault for being adorably innocent, you'll have my full protection."
momo blinks, looking at sana and nayeon for help.
you misunderstand, thinking she's worried about her friends, "your friends can join too. it's decent money, and i won't make any of you do anything you're not comfortable with. i get it y'know? i'm only able to pay for college because i do this, and i'm good at making other people do the dirty work. dangle some drugs and money and people will do anything for you."
nayeon lets out a sound of disbelief, "...this is a joke right? like surely this is a joke. sana pinch me."
sana does exactly that, but nayeon yelps, "not that hard!"
"you asked me to pinch you!"
"yeah pinch me not crab claw me!"
"i just got my nails done it's not my fault!"
before you can laugh at their antiques the door behind them slams open, people rushing in with guns pointed. there's a few screams before hands are clamped over mouths and you feel yourself be surrounded.
you react instantly when you see one of the intruders grab momo by the neck, pointing a gun at her head. you lurch forward, pushing past the people surrounding you, knocking the gun out of their hand and hitting the back of it into the person's head, rendering them unconscious with the force of your blow.
you quickly check on momo, helping her up and inspecting her neck, fingers tingling from where your skin meets.
"boss- what- are you okay?"
"shut up! i was fine! god can't i have a single day to myself without you numbskulls barging in?" you bark with your fingers still daintily checking momo's neck for any marks.
"you- you were kidnapped boss we were just-"
"i'm fine now aren't i? i can take care of myself. i don't need you all watching my every move! i'd like to have some privacy to myself every now and then." you turn back to the bodyguards looking awkward and shuffling around in their bulky protective wear and guns.
"y-yes boss. sorry boss."
"wait for me outside." you sigh, flicking your wrist in annoyance, "and find kim heechul. i need to have a word with him." you add as an afterthought.
they shuffle out the door they came through, mumbling apologies and tripping over themselves. you roll your eyes, refocusing back on the other women in the room.
"i'm sorry about that. are you guys okay?"
they stare at you, faces tinged with red, nayeon speaks up first. "so you weren't joking..."
you shake your head, "and i'm serious about coming under me too. i'm kinda afraid to say it but if word gets out that i was kidnapped, some of my rivals might go out looking for you three and try to recruit you for themselves. they'll treat you a lot worse than i will. and they generally won't take no for an answer..."
"but you'll take no for an answer?" sana chirps in.
"like i said- i don't want to force you to do anything you don't want to."
nayeon and sana look between them, but momo shrugs, smiling up at you, "i'm in. i like you. you're funny."
you grin at her, justifying the immediate connection you felt with her just by being able to anticipate the kind of person she was.
"well if momo's in i'm in." sana agrees happily, slinging an arm around momo.
they look towards nayeon who rolls her eyes and groans, "someone has to make sure the two of you don't kidnap the wrong person again right?"
they all break into laughter and you join them, feeling like you had people you could almost call friends for the first time since you'd started your mafia business.
Voice in the Abyss
✨Manhwa : Into The Light Once Again
✨Elmir royal family x Fem!Reader
✨Warning : princess!reader, lost memory, yandere elements (both platonic and romantic), protect, ... (will add more)
📌Note: this is just a fanfic, there are many details unrelated to the original story line. English is not my native language, if I make grammatical mistakes or use incorrect words, please forgive me.
🎭Summary : You have a voice that is said to change the world, when you sing, your sweet voice makes people happy and all things flourish. One day, your kingdom was destroyed, you had to live with the pain of losing your family and being severely mistreated. But it seems that you will die in misery, there will be people who will come and take you out of the abyss.
"O God, when this song ends, come and take me away"
"Let me live forever, peacefully in your magical arms"
My dear, your voice can change the world...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Looks like there's a noise on the ground, you think. But you're not really sure, is it really noise? Or are your ears just imagining for themselves?
It's been a long time, even a little warmth of sunlight you haven't even seen, two years of being confined to a dark underground prison, all your senses and body have been worn out. Dark, cold, snake centipede insects you are also used to.
When will you be freed?
Why aren't you dead yet?
Eventually, you find yourself lying on the moldy, slurping ground. A finger can't move now, is God taking you?
The noise doesn't go away, but at this moment you don't care about it anymore. When you close your eyes, it feels like you're leaning on your mother's lap, and she sings you lullabies. There is the voice of your mother, of your father, of your brothers and sisters, it seems that you are with them.
And then you don't feel anything anymore.
...
You wake up, light creeping into the corner of your eye. Brilliant, and uncomfortable. But it's also warm and comfortable. Your head is blank, strangely enough, you don't have any memories in your head. You can't think of anything, you're so strange around, you wonder where this is, there's a lot of mixed emotions, anxiety, fear, restlessness in you,... Suddenly the door of the room opens, a woman enters and is alarmed to realize you have woken up, she is so shocked that she almost dropped the tray in her hand.
"She's awake!"
She speaks something you don't understand. You're vague, weak, but still aware enough that two people came in later, they both looked in a hurry, and seemed surprised to see you open your eyes. Who's that? Do you know them?
"Are you okay? How are you feeling?" A soft voice that you can hear, she speaks a language that you understand, you want to answer, but your throat is too weak to say something.
The owner of the voice was a woman with a gentle and beautiful face, her eyes were like beautiful purple jewels.
She looked very worried... Why?
"Hurry up and call the priest here!" Another voice, but that of the younger girl, they were the same, they both had cloud-white hair, but she had blue eyes... It was like that lake, clear and shining. She was as beautiful as an angel.
"It's going to be fine, you're safe."
You are confused, why are you here, who they are, why are you like this, so many questions in your mind.
What happened?

Your blood on my hands, it warm.
Chapter 1 : Linked (5.3k)
Masterlist
Tagglist: @sniickerdoodles @babygirl-panda19
Summary:
After absorbing the power of the Aether Core and coming back to Sylus's base, you are left with more questions than when you first arrived in the N109. Sylus on the other hand, seems blissfully oblivious to your internal struggle and doesn't give you the answer you crave. But you know, after the vision you had, that the two of you are more than strangers.
He knows things you don't, but if playing along to this little game means finding the answers to your grandmother and Caleb's death, along with the Aether Core secrets, then so be it.
Being forced together for the time being would not bother you if it helped you know him better, and discover who he really was too.
Warnings : a bit of sexual tension, tiny bit of blood mention, but things will get bloody and nasty later MDI
Author note: Finally baby number 1 is here, proofread at 1am so don't hesitate to point out mistakes or weird things. If you wanna be included in the tagglist just tell me I'll add you!
Surrounded by the soft classical melody of the vinyl playing in the background, you sat on the same crimson sofa you had been on for the past hour.
Sitting in front of you was the leader of Onychinus, the man who had kidnapped you, forced you-or tried at least, to resonate with him, and pulled you left and right in a matter of hours into unnecessary danger.
"Do you plan on staring any harder, sweetie?"
His voice was like honey, coating your nerves in a thick layer of soft fluff, calming you fidgeting despite your persisting dislike of the man. You didn't avert your eyes from his relaxed form. Choosing to observe with fake involvement as he lazily polished the gun in his lap.
Your gaze narrowed, a frown quickly taking over your face. If playing violin with your nerves was a form of art, you were sure people all around the world would fight for the chance to witness the scene actually going on. He was so nonchalantly annoying. Nothing seemed to faze him no matter what you had tried before. No smart remarks, no embarrassing gesture or act would even make him blink slightly differently.
Since you had come back to your temporary residence, you had bombarded him with questions. But he systematically refused to answer. “You’re not ready for that Kitten.” “If I told you, your already poor opinion of me that I just managed to up a little bit would sink underground, and I don’t plan on spending whatever time there’s remaining for this to come off with someone treating me like a lunatic.” And when you had kept on insisting despite all his words, he had pulled out the very gun he had made you use on him with the help of his Evol from far across the room, shutting you up immediately.
“Whatever you say, sweetie, I won’t budge. You saw it before on the rooftop, you will see more if we keep resonating.” His eyes, the deepest shade of red you had ever seen, shone in the slightest as they came to rest on you. His face was bare of emotion, but his gaze was intense, leaving no room for lies.
“You will have your answers, but you will have them at your pace and when you are ready for them.”
He ignored you after that. And that’s how the last hour passed by.
Arms tightly crossed on your chest; you felt the lack of the previous adrenaline rush catching up to you. It had been days now since you slept correctly. First because of the excitement of finally going to the N109 zone and possibly finding the answer you craved on your Aether core. Then, because of the stress of finding that damned brooch of his and the apprehension of actually going to the auction.
Your eyes were starting to grow heavier despite the morning being only an hour away. With each blink, you felt your grasp on your consciousness slowly slip away, almost allowing you to fall into a peaceful slumber right here and there.
"Is my kitten so tired that she would fall asleep in front of a starving tiger?"
Well, there goes your sleep. You immediately shot up at the sound of his deep and rich voice, a cold shower on the warmth of your dream that was just seconds away.
Your jolting didn't escape him by the smug look on his face, the smirk you had grown familiar with coming to rest on his lips.
"Oh, did I wake you up?"
The twitch of your eyelid must have been more noticeable than you thought, seeing as his smirk doubled in size and the soft chuckle that escaped him. His crimson, oh-so-vivid eyes met yours for a moment, allowing you to have a glimpse of the teasing warmth hidden behind the layers of red. But just as your eyes met, he broke the contact, going back to admire his handiwork.
"Seems like the tiger lacks intelligence then, raising the guards of its prey when he could have had an easy meal staying silent."
Your voice sounded more venomous than you had intended, but for what it was worth, he did deserve some harsh words for what he had done to you in your short stay.
"Oh..." He examined the now shiny and immaculate gun, giving you that same smug glance before continuing where he left off.
"So you agree you are my prey then?"
Huh?
Your face went through a myriad of states in a matter of seconds- confusion, disgust, anger before finally settling on slight annoyance. You didn't- wouldn't give him the satisfaction of hearing you, for once thankful that his gaze wasn't piercing you, too focused on the weapon in his hands.
"Cat got your tongue?" That tone, the mocking all-knowing way he articulates his every word, pushing your buttons without even trying to. You hated this man, you really did.
Choosing to ignore his pompous behavior, you lifted your hand abruptly, forcing his own to follow your movement. You didn't miss the twitch of his eyelid as the hand holding the cloth let go of the fabric because of the sudden pull. The unknown link between both your hands may have stretched a little between its first appearance and the moment you came back to Sylus' home, but still, you couldn't get more than 2 feet away from each other before the familiar pull stopped you.
"The cat is too busy being bone dry and exhausted to get anything, and with what we went through today, I think following its lead and getting some sleep is more than recommended."
Before I try to murder you again and this time I won't fail. You kept that last part for yourself though, you may be tired, but you were not suicidal yet. And despite him saving you multiple times, when he was the one that put you in danger, you couldn’t forget who you were dealing with.
Onychinus' apparently immortal leader, obsessed with resonating with you and weirdly enough complaining about your demands until now.
You gently turn your head to face the slowly brightening outside, even in the N109 zone, where the sun could barely shine, you could tell when the morning began to show its first rays, along with the clock sitting on one of the many shelves behind Sylus still siting form.
You still couldn’t believe you had managed to resonate with him, thinking back, you had tried to do so by yourself after the shooting at the bar and still, nothing had happened. But on that rooftop, you had been able to see past his usual mask for an instant, and unconsciously…
You had trusted him when taking his hand. Even if just for this moment you had known you could trust him with your life. And you did.
Hands coming down to retrieve the fallen cloth before coming to rest on his lap, yours mimicking his so the link would not activate again, his eyes followed your gaze, seemingly unbothered. The display could have actually fooled you if you didn't already know of his opposite sleep schedule compared to a normal human being.
You were proved right when you witnessed the exhaustion slowing creeping behind his gaze, his blinks slowing at the sight of the beginning of the day. You let him ponder for an instant, your initial energy quickly replaced by your previous fatigue. You only wanted to get a good night of sleep, on a warm bed, oh so far from this man-but ah yes, the link.
Wait, how were you supposed to sleep with that thing?
Your mind raced at the best of its limited capacities at this instant, already dreading the fact that he was probably going to make you sleep on the floor of his gigantic bedroom. The thought alone almost made you regret ever speaking out about going to sleep.
You didn't get the chance to cry on your fate for long before you felt a slight pull on your arm, facing the opposing couch, Sylus was already standing up, waiting for you to do the same. Gently pushing yourself up using your free hand, you approach him calmly. You were too tired to muster any smart remarks right now and you knew he wasn't as energetic as a few minutes before, the events of the day slowly catching up to him too.
The moment you were close enough for the link to start fading away Sylus began walking at a leisurely pace, letting you follow him without needing to sprint to catch up. You thanked him mentally, even if it was certainly because he didn't want to use any more energy before going to rest.
You went quietly through the corridors of the giant manor he, along with the twins, called his home, too tired to really think about where you were heading. Following him blindly.
You should really learn to be more cautious around strangers when tired.
You trailed, half asleep behind Sylus’ dark form. As you take turns you begin noticing some familiarity in the walls, before your brain finally lights up. He is bringing me to his chamber? Your curious gaze focused on his wide back, trying to decipher what he was thinking. Maybe he was really just exhausted and would indeed make you sleep on the floor. You could not remember if he had some kind of cushioning by his bed, it being a bed mat or carpet.
He is way too rich for carpet though, it's probably hardwood or maybe tiles. I should've paid more attention when looking for that damn brooch!
Your half-formed thoughts were once again stopped when Sylus back came dangerously close to your face, causing a small gasp to leave your lips as you quickly corrected yourself to the side to avoid running into him. You almost stumbled down, thanks to your tired muscles and the soreness starting to settle in your bones.
"What are you...oh." Before you could come up with the rest of the sentence you realized you had in fact arrived at the doors of his bedroom, the sense of familiarity now making sense as your eyes came to view the heavy double door leading to his quarters.
"Sleeping while walking Kitten? Is this one of the other hidden talents you have yet to show me?" Sylus right hand was resting on the right door, his palm sitting next to the handle without really making any move to open it. Walking up so you would stand closer to his left, you gave him a glare. The mocking smile he harbored didn't falter though, only growing until his eyes creased in the slightest, making the deep of his eyes dimmer in the barely lit space.
"Are you planning to stay here and mock me in my state of so grand weakness and exhaustion or are you going to open this door so we could get some sleep?" The sound of your voice only helps in the slightest keep you awake, as you were slowly but surely falling asleep while standing.
A scoff.
A scoff? A fucking scoff? You were going to kill him, for real this time.
He opened the entrance to his suite just as your hands became fists, avoiding swiftly the avalanche that was about to unfold on him as he stepped in. You followed a bit behind, enough for the link to reappear more clearly but not so the pull would be noticeable. If he noticed it, which you were convinced he did, he didn't feel the need to speak up about it.
Entering the even dimmer room, the smell of Sylus cologne intensified, and you felt out of place. You had been here before, but it was different, you had a mission: find the brooch no matter where it was even if it meant snicking into his room in the dark of the night while he was taking a shower. Now, however, it was no matter how you saw it, something more intimate, him actually inviting you into his space instead of throwing you out. It was out of convenience but still.
You felt awkward now, unsure of what to do with yourself, thankfully Sylus had kept walking so for now following him again would buy you the time to figure out what would happen next.
Coming up to the night table by his king-sized bed with you following closely behind, he put away his gun in the upper drawer before turning around and passing by you returning near the entrance.
Your confused look deepened when you followed him once more. Wasn't he tired of running left, and right? And even if he wasn't, it's getting late for him, what is he doing?
"I thought we were going to sleep Sylus; don't tell me you have some other business to attend because that’s out of the equation for me."
"Oh, don't worry about that sweetie, I won't tire you any more, but I'm not going to bed like that - and neither are you."
"Like what? You mean you can't sleep without your pajamas or-?" With a sway of his hand, a tendril of red smoke appeared, pushing against your mouth - not harshly enough to suffocate you or completely stop you from talking, but combined with the sudden act, it was enough for you to become silent.
Your eyebrows raised as you saw him quickly go through some type of dressing, only sparing you a few glances from time to time. Not even a minute later, the red tendril disappeared back into nothingness as he held out a bunch of items to you.
"What? Whatever things you are into I'm not putting anything on. I’ll just take the couch and put it closer to the bed."
His brows furrowed in irritation, his hands pushing the items into your chest, forcing you to hold on to them before they could fall onto the floor.
"Could you stop being so hardheaded for a moment, you are doing both of us a disfavor acting like that." His eyes don't meet yours as he goes back to scour through the closed for clothing you guessed.
You scoffed at his remarks, looking down to finally examine what had been shoved into your arms. Separating the items as best as you could without losing your grip, you quickly made the list, a t-shirt, along with a pair of new boxers and trousers all of them a deep shade of black and way too big for you.
Except maybe the boxers, looking at the fabric, it seemed to be made to fit closely to the skin. Your eyes poked up through your lashes, looking at Sylus as he finished retrieving his desired clothes for the night. More precisely you quickly scanned his waist, the man was huge, both in height and width, that you had quickly known the very day you two met. But his waist, as if the gods themselves had decided to bless the guy, had been made slim enough to make your eyes catch on it multiple times during your previous escapade. And you knew you weren't the only one who looked at him like this, but at least you did it while his back was turned.
Which meant that the boxers would probably be the only good fit, the t-shirt and trousers? You would float in them but considering their purpose for the night-day, you didn't complain.
Your eyes then rested on the final item, and your eyebrows rose.
"Sylus why the towel we-"
"You seriously don't think I would allow you to dirty my bed after the events of tonight, or did you think being tired would make me forget basic hygiene Sweetie?"
" Well, no but I thought tonight would be an exception. You know considering this." You tugged your hand holding the towel away from him while looking at him expectantly. And surely the orange hue of the link appeared. Sure, sleeping with the vestige of your battle on your skin would feel gross but you could manage for one day. You were a Hunter, long missions where you were forced to sleep on concrete or dirt without showering for days weren't that common but not really rare either. It was something to be prepared for, and the bath when returning home was so heavenly that you almost immediately forgot the pain it was.
You thought you would quickly pat yourself with a wet towel to preserve some intimacy, not a full-on shower.
Guess he disagreed, looking at the way his lips stretched in a judgmental scowl.
"Your view on this, and your surely exhausted mind maybe didn't make you consider that even if we skipped it tonight -tomorrow, and the day after exist." He raised one of his hands to his face and pinched the bridge of his nose. You really felt like a toddler who was being taught common sense. It was infuriating.
"Well excuse my poor fucking self-sir," Oh you didn't miss the way he tensed at that. “My stupid brain thought that the link would have loosened up enough by tomorrow so you know, we could shower separately?" Your hands were going wild, swaying up and down to accentuate your mocking tone.
"Because be sure of that one thing Sylus." You paused, pointing at his with hand holding both the towel and the link, the other coming the rest on your hips while holding the rest.
"I'm not putting myself naked in a closed and small room with you, sick bastard. Over my dead body." Your gaze was serious, although embarrassment at the words had made a sweet blush appear on your cheeks.
His smile darkened the moment the words left your lips, his right eye glowing in that sickening red hue that made your mind play tricks on you.
"Stop that." Anger lingered in your tone, accentuated by the exhaustion. You could've gone to bed 10 minutes ago and still, you were there, unclean, tired, and on the brink of snapping Sylus' neck.
"I'm the sick bastard and yet you are the one suggesting perverted acts Kitten, I never said we would shower together, you did that yourself." The glow in his eye subsided and he turned his back to you, closing the distance between the glass door of the shower.
You took a few steps but stopped before the transition into the shower and observed as Sylus put his own clothes on a shelf by the door, close enough to still be in range, but far enough for the shower head to not risk being drenched.
"Sylus how-"
"Easy, just stay by the door right where you are, and I'll stay right here." He said as he positioned himself to be just under the shower head. From where he stood, the link was clearly present, even beginning to pull on your hand, but if he kept his left hand facing you then there would be no problem.
“Okay, you got me on that one.” Sigh, you just hoped he wasn't taking forever when he showered. Giving him a last warning glare yo-
"OH MY! OH, MY-" The door handle slipped in your desperate hands as you struggled to close the door.
"DON'T JUST UNDRESS WHEN SOMEONE IS STILL TALKING TO YOU DAMMIT, PERVERT!"
You heard him chuckle, his deep voice just slightly muffled by the thin layer of glass. Thin enough, you realized, that if you really tried and came close enough with the glass it was almost as if there was nothing separat-
You turned away before you could do or see the irredeemable.
The sound of water hitting the tiles of the shower tensed you as much as it soothed your mind, a very corrupted mind by the way. You kept your linked hand near the entrance, taking the towel with a little bit of struggle into your other almost full one.
Gosh, I must look so stupid right now, standing almost pressed onto the glass while he is having the time of his life in there.
At least you could tell the hot water had made the glass blurry enough for his frame to be just beyond recognizable.
I was envious when he went in there first, but it was maybe for the better. I can't imagine him being able to keep his eyes for himself.
Yet that didn't stop you from taking a few glances, not that you could actually see anything.
Shameless. Truly, where is my self-respect?
You stayed pressed onto the door for a few more minutes, and the fight against sleep was beginning to turn into your disfavor. The warmth of the glass pressing softly into your back combined with the sweet, who would have thought, the scent of his body lotion or shampoo and the trickle of the water began to lull you into a semi-conscious state. Just Awake enough to not slide down the door and fall asleep. You tried to distract your mind by taking the room more in detail, letting your eyes roam every interesting thing you could find. Surprisingly, they found the perch of Mephisto, you had been so much focused on getting some sleep that you hadn’t noticed the dark pile of feathers silently sitting just a few feet away. The mechanical bird seemed to be in some sort of sleep mode, so you couldn’t even look at it preening itself to keep you awake.
When your blinks began to last a few seconds each, the sound of the shower stopped, pushing you back into full, more or less, consciousness.
You take a look, only to see him approaching the door, your breath itching at the proximity yet how far away he was. You could barely see but by the sound of ruffling and the blackness surrounding his frame, you easily guessed your time waiting was almost up.
The door slid open the next second, and you stepped aside to let Sylus step out of the shower. The moment the door had slid all the way, the scent of his lotions became ever more powerful, completely engulfing you. I'll have to take a picture of whatever he has that smells so good, and it better not cost thousands.
He took a few steps to allow you the space to enter the now warm shower, a towel thrown over his shoulder while the same crimson robe hugged his frame.
"You can use my shampoo and lotion, just don't use all of it I just replaced them, and I don't like wasting that kind of thing."
You only acknowledged him with a small hum, almost jumping into the warmth of the shower the moment you could. You put your clothes where he had just minutes before, before turning to begin unbuttoning your top.
Sylus silhouette by the door frame made you stop your movement, the door still very much wide open. But before words could escape your lips, Sylus' hands had already done you the favor of closing the door, letting you exhale a breath you didn't know you held.
"Now, look at who is the perverted one. Have you truly got no shame little Miss Hunter?"
" Oh, shut it, I forgot now let me shower in peace." He was silent after that, good.
A small thud accompanied the last of your garment off your body, leaving you bear on the tile floor. You didn't lose much time relaxing in the warmth of the water or the sweet notes in the air, the shadow of the man by the entrance wouldn't allow you to. You quickly turned on the water, surprised to see the temperature was in fact perfect for you. You had showered after male colleagues or some of your ex-partners, but men and their lower body temperatures often left you shivering when you tried to shower after them.
Moving quickly before the warmth of the water lured you into the sleep you had been fighting off for hours, you made quick work of the dirt embedded in your skin. The clear water was now tainted with the brownish color of dirt and sand, along with a faint rosy taint from the small cut and dried blood you had accumulated tonight. The sting of the stream helped staying awake though, so you didn't mind it much.
Sitting on shelves embedded in the wall stood a variety of hair and body products for your choosing, but you didn’t waste much time looking at the labels. One at a time, you opened the lid and smelled its content, searching for the delicious scent. It only took you a few tries, the bottle still in front of the others following its recent use.
Seems like I found my new shampoo, and even if it does cost thousands, I'll just borrow this one, I'm sure he'll live.
Taking another bottle of random soap, you cleaned yourself thoroughly, paying extra attention to not tangle your hair in your haste. After rinsing and repeating to make sure all the shampoo and dirt were out of your hair you turned off the water.
Immediately, a chill ran up your spine, and you almost jumped on the towel resting on the track. You patted yourself dry before roughly gathering your hair into the towel and throwing it over your head when you were sure it would hold on its own. Sleep was only a boxer, T-shirt, and a pair of trousers away.
Although, you couldn't stop the blush creeping on your cheeks as you held the boxers. Your hesitation only lasted a moment, and you put the thing on without looking. The rest followed swiftly, along with your watch, even if it was waterproof, you wouldn’t bet your last communication device on your current luck, and the next thing you knew you were standing by the door.
" Careful I'm opening." You let a second pass before sliding the door open, sure enough, Sylus stood exactly where you had, looking at you with half-lidded eyes. His frame leaned gracefully on the glass, his arms crossed over his chest, he looked you over before pushing himself off the wall.
"You're taking the left side I'm taking the right."
Being careful not to slide and fall because of your wet feet, like seriously doesn't he have the budget for a bathmat, you looked at him confused but still mechanically followed him after closing the door.
"Wait," He continued to walk towards the bed. " You mean to say we are going to sleep together?"
" Are you going to say something indecent again?" His ironic tone was letting you know that, yes, this was actually happening.
"Sorry your Highness, I thought a peasant like myself would be forced to sleep on the bare floor."
"Yet look at me, gracious enough to share my bedding with said peasant."
Your mouth moved in unspoken injuries, taking advantage of his back facing you, but you knew he had good ears when he wanted, so you didn't push your luck actually speaking them out loud.
As he came by the frame of the bed, he took a moment to glance at his phone put on the nightstand. I didn't see him put it there, he must have done it when he put the gun away. Seemingly satisfied with whatever he saw, he put the phone back on the stand, and without wasting a moment more, slipped under the covers. With his tall frame, he almost didn't need to reposition himself, only slightly moving away from you.
He laid there, body flushed against what you knew to be the most fluffy and soft mattress you had ever had the luck to try out, his head resting on the pillow you bet was going to make you curse your own tomorrow. His white hair became just the slightest bit wilder against the bed, cupping his face beautifully as his red eyes locked onto yours, almost drowning you in their lazy intensity.
The corner of the cover was still lifted in an unspoken invitation to join him, the gesture too intimate, too banal for your liking. It made your heart ache for something. Something that you had possessed but that was ripped from you, leaving you longing for a familiarity long forgotten.
"Come on now, peasant, you don't want your lord's kindness to run out, do you?" His voice was too soft and lacked the previous taunting and teasing you had played into. Everything seemed like a dream, or maybe he had bashed his head, and this was the result of a concussion left untreated.
"The peasant would want more space, so hop your ass away."
You joined him behind the covers, taking the corners he held into your hand. The feeling of your fingers brushing against each other didn't make you shudder in the slightest. It didn't.
"Greedy."
"Annoying, move."
"You're acting as if I was the one at fault here." He began, his right arm coming to rest on the covers. He moved his body away to give you the space you requested. "But correct me if I'm wrong, I wasn't the one who put the leash on both of us."
"If you're so mad about the thing, cut your hand and just heal it back and stop nagging me." You threw daggers at him despite the sigh escaping you when you found the perfect position to sleep in. The bed truly felt like a cloud.
"Throwing me back my own words? I expected more from you kitten." He looked truly unimpressed, only faintly giving you a glance before closing his eyes. How easily he always cut the discussion short when things didn't go his way or bored him never failed to infuriate you.
Taking the pillow lying in between the two of you, you raised it above the covers to make sure it was big enough, prodding him to look at what you were scheming.
"Are you already going to try and murder me again?"
"You wish. But not today, I'm just making sure nothing happens." You said as the fluffy and plumb pillow came to rest between your body, separating them as best as you could with the means available.
With the barrier in between you and him, you felt the nerves that kept you awake starting to dissolve, finally letting you revel in the softness of the covers and the plushness of the mattress.
“Am I really this untrustworthy in your eyes? I feel offended.” Trust. Your exhaustion had left little room for anything other than short remarks and glares since you returned from the auction, but did you trust him?
You had learned that he wasn’t Grandma and Caleb’s killer, but nonetheless, he still wasn’t a good person. He was the leader of the most dangerous organization you knew of, and there were so many things you didn’t know about him that it honestly scared you. He, on the other side, seemed to know you to your very core, and that simple thing stirred something buried away in your memories.
At least before you could technically try your luck and run away, but now, even if he would let you, it wasn’t even physically possible.
You will have to trust the fact that he hadn’t killed you yet and that it meant he didn’t want to, he must have plans for you. That’s the only answer, that, or he wants to torture you before he gets bored of this cat-and-mouse game. Maybe you pulling the trigger when he told you to bore more consequences than you thought at the time.
Turning your back to him, you bathed in the soft glimmer of the fireplace you had forgotten existed. The soft swaying of the flames and their gentle orange shade reminded you of the sunset you often witnessed back in Lincon City.
Eyes closing on their own accord, you let your body relax, the sound of the fire cracking and Sylus' already soft and regular breathing lulling you to a well-deserved sleep.

Nothing exciting

The mess hall was a cacophony of clanging silverware and low conversations, the air thick with the scent of fried onions and meat. Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Sasha, Connie, Jean, Ymir, Reiner, and Krista sat at their usual table, their eyes trained on you and Levi, who were sitting a few tables away. They had been watching you both ever since they had seen the scene at the stables, and now they couldn't help but wonder how long it had been going on for. The group had spent the better part of the last few days speculating about the nature of your relationship, with each member offering their own unique theories.
There was you, with your playful demeanor and unabashed affection. It was like a breath of fresh air in the otherwise stuffy environment. And Levi? Well, he was the strong, silent type; the rock upon which the survey corps relied.
The interactions between the two of you were fascinating to watch. Even the most casual of glances or gestures seemed to carry a weight of meaning that the others didn't quite understand. The way you both would sneak a touch or a quick brush of fingers against each other's arms as you passed one another, was enough to send the more observant scouts into a frenzy of speculation.
Sasha leaned in, her voice low but curious. "I wonder if they've been hiding this from us all this time," she mused. "They've always seemed so close, but I never would have guessed..." She trailed off, lost in thought.
As they continued to watch, Krista couldn't help but smile whenever she saw you both stealing a moment of privacy, or when Levi would blush and avert his gaze at one of your more forward advances. The air seemed charged with an electricity that was palpable even from across the room. Her curiosity getting the better of her, "Do you think they've been dating long?"
Reiner shrugged, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Hard to say, really. They've always been pretty close. You remember, back when we first joined up? They were inseparable even then." He turned back to his meal. "It would be reasonable to assume they have been hiding it all this time."
Armin, who had been listening quietly to the conversation, piped up. "I heard they grew up together in the underground," he said, his tone thoughtful. "They must have some pretty deep history between them, and their reasons for keeping things quiet, it isn't unusual given the nature of this line of work for them to be cautious."
Mikasa couldn't help but wonder how you must feel during the times when the scouts were beyond the walls. It was one thing to be apart for a few days or weeks, but when the missions lasted for months at a time. The thought made her heart ache for you just a little.
Ymir decided to chime in with a suggestive joke. "There must be something about the miserable bastard that makes her like him. Maybe he's packing." she says suggestively, earning a few chuckles from the others. "You guys are at the stables this afternoon, right? You'll have to tell us if anything exciting happens." She adds, looking over at Krista and Armin.
The mess hall emptied out, and the scouts went about their business. Some to train, others to muck out the stables or tend to the horses.
You were in your element when you were around the horses. You had a way with them that was both gentle and firm, earning their trust and respect without fail. The soldiers looked up to you, admiring your knowledge and your dedication. You were strong, capable, and unapologetically yourself.
Which is why it seemed so unusual when Hange stopped by and told you to be careful around the horses, "Don't push yourself too hard and to make sure to gave the soldiers more work to do." Their words were softly spoken, meant only for you, but they carried weight nonetheless. Krista and Armin overhead the conversation and quickly averted their gaze, looking at one another with the same questionable look. Hearing you insist that you were fine and not to worry. It wasn't long before the captain himself made an appearance, walking straight over to you, his expression softening but still relaying something that only you seemed to understand as you sighed at him, leaving the stables.
After mucking out the stalls and exercising the horses, Krista was keen to hop into the showers. As she turned the corner, she let out a sigh of frustration as she approached the bathroom door, an out of order sign taped to it. Her heart sank. "Great," she muttered under her breath. The alternative facilities weren't as nice or warm as the main showers they would have to do. With a sigh, she decided to brave the less-frequented bathroom at the other wing end of the building.
As she approached the familiar bathroom door, she could hear muffled sounds coming from within. Curious, she placed her ear against the wood, and she heard someone retching violently, followed by the sound of someone vomiting into the toilet. She quickly knocked on the door. There was no reply, so she knocked again, a little harder this time. "Excuse me, are you okay in there?" She asked, concerned.
The sound of the door swinging open made her jump. Your face was pale and clammy, "Oh, hi Krista," your voice soft. "I didn't expect anyone else to be here. The water in here is always cold, you know that, right?" You wiped your mouth with the back of your hand, a blush creeping across your cheeks.
Krista swallowed hard, her heart still racing. "Are you okay?" she asked concerned, her voice barely above a whisper. She couldnt help but notice that you were wearing your casual clothes, and the faint outline of a bump was visible beneath your shirt. Her eyes widened, the conversation between you and Hange at the stables, the captains attitude towards you still doing strenuous activities all made sense very quickly.
You smiled at her realisation, "Well, I'm not feeling my best right now, but I'll be fine." You paused, leaning against the door frame. "And I guess this means the cat is out of the bag." You chuckle to yourself.
"Look, Krista, there's something I need you to promise me." Your voice taking on a gentle but serious tone. "You can't tell anyone about this, you understand?" You gestured to your midsection, your fingers grazing the fabric of your shirt. "My uniform just about hides it for now, I know it won't be long before it's too obvious. But it would just be easier to keep things quiet for as long as possible. You know how it is around here, people talk." You explain.
Krista nodded. "I-I won't say anything, I promise." She bit her lip, feeling both honoured that you trusted her with the information, still completely shocked.
"Thank you, Krista." You reply relieved, "I don't know what I'm going to do. The survey corps isn't exactly known for its family-friendly policies." Your brow furrowed, and you ran a hand through your hair, tugging at the roots as you let out an exasperated sigh.
Krista nodded understandingly, not used to seeing you like this. Her usual passion began to shine through in an effort to be supportive and positive about the situation. A baby was surely a wonderful thing. "I'm sure there's got to be a way to make it work. You're a valuable member of the team. We need you here! and I'm sure Captain Levi will do whatever it takes to make it all work out to-" She bit her lip, hesitant before continuing, realising she had just assumed Levi was the father, confirming your previous comment about how people gossip around the headquarters. "It is Levi's, right?" She asked, blushing furiously, her voice barely above a whisper. Your face lit up, and you smiled at the mention of Levi's name as you let out a small giggle.
"Is it that obvious, huh?" You ask, slightly embarrassed that your relationship with the captain seems to have become common knowledge, you had both done such a good job of hiding it for so long. "That's one of the reasons I need you to keep it between us. You know how he is." You say, rolling your eyes playfully "He can be a real pain about our private life. Hange knowing makes him nervous enough." You chuckle.
Krista smiles sweetly and nods, "How did Captain Levi take it?" she finally asks, her voice curious, the question was burning in the back of her mind and she knew if she didn't ask now, she would never find out. The smaller details and intricacies of your relationship were fascinating to her. Having watched from afar all these months.
You hesitated for a moment, then smiled, it wasn't like you had been able to share this news with many people. "He was... surprised, at first," you chuckled. "But once he got over the shock, he was actually really happy. He's been so supportive, you know? I know he doesn't come accross as the fatherly type, but I know... I know he'll be a great dad." You said affectionately, resting a hand on your small bump. Krista smiled brightly, reaching out to take your other hand and squeezing it lightly.
"Congratulations, that's amazing, really! And a little scary, too, I imagine." She said thoughtfully. "But when you're ready, everyone will support you. Of that I'm certain." She said in an effort to reassure you. You smiled at her "Thank you, Kris. I appreciate it."
The next morning, as the group walked past the stables, Krista saw you sat down, leaving the more strenuous tasks to the cadets, Levi by your side drinking tea quietly, keeping an eye on you no doubt. You smiled sweetly as your eyes met hers, and you gave her a knowing wink. She smiled back at you, Ymir raised an eyebrow. "What was that about?" Krista shook her head, "Nothing exciting."

About the suits. Looking at them standing together it seems to me that the suits are the same colour, but a flat gradient from black to grey has been applied to both of them to suggest lighting behind them in the room.
Stan's suit is definitely a different colour though.
Nope! Check out Agent Powers's gallery and look at every screenshot with normal lighting where he and Agent Trigger are in the same shot and wearing suits. Powers's is always a little lighter than Trigger's (8%~9% brightness vs 5%~6% brightness). It's extra obvious when their shoulders overlap each other, like in the bottom right screenshot.
Also, in the original screenshot, if you grab colors from their left/right shoulders, they don't vary, so there's no gradient. Never eyeball it when you can measure it!
EDIT: Anon, I double-checked the image, because it was weird to me that somehow the first time I measured his suit was 16% brightness and then it was 9% brightness, and you're right, there IS a slight gradient on that image......... because it's been altered. That image comes from inside one of my art canvases (I was using it as a drawing reference), so at some point I must've accidentally hit it very lightly with a shading brush when I didn't mean to. So you're absolutely right about the image I posted. I didn't notice it while answering this question because when I went back to double check, I grabbed the original screenshot again and sampled that instead of the one I'd been working off of last night.
Never measure it when you can DOUBLE measure it.
Shading characters in Gravity Falls is typically very simple—cell shading in closeups, flat colors (blue, red, green, etc) applied in unusual lighting (night, sunset, Ford's underground study, etc), and even when there SHOULD be unusual lighting it isn't always used. In normal daylight scenes it's extremely rare to add any kind of shading—look at the above images, the bottom left is clearly at sunset but their colors haven't been adjusted for that. Applying a gradient to a casual gift shop scene ain't their art style.
#(however i DID discover that somehow I got a wonky colorpick of the first suit and it made Powers's suit look TOO light)#(i checked the same screenshot again and it's 9% now. still lighter than Trigger's tho)#anonymous#ask#gravity falls

A/N. I’M SORRY HAHA, but i was leaning on more of the angst and putting some suggestive stuff in it because never can leave the smut out of it. enjoy !!!
to convince a woman with ambitions like valeria to drop everything that the society had to offer and leave the island. it was truly something out of a fairy tale, you thinking that talking would be enough to convince her.
“she will never give up her money, her medallion, or the society.” hope said to you, countless times.
the one little detail that you forgot to mention was that you were gonna leave with valeria if she agreed.
you didn't want to wait, in your eyes if the other shoe was gonna drop and valeria would be killed the underground was gonna become just like the society. power-hungry people, with bloodshot eyes, and out for revenge rather than seeking justice.
you sighed, eyes fixated on the woman in front of you, adjusting her sunglasses as she murmured something to her guards before all of them exited the room. valeria finally turns around, her eyes fully on you rather than just running over your features. you could feel the heat rising to your face, suddenly feeling very exposed as you tried to gather up your thoughts, words failing you as you fumbled with what to say.
valeria hums softly, an amused smile spreading across her lips. "it's been a while," she starts, eyes scanning over the rest of you quickly.
"i know." you reply softly, fingers gripping the hem of your shirt behind your back nervously, waiting to see if she'd continue. valeria sighs, leaning back against the wall behind her and crossing her legs. "what are you doing here?" she asks, voice low, almost like a purr. it was no mystery to either of you, your differences were too obvious and that's what kept the two of you far away from each other, but sometimes you found a way back to each other.
"a lot of things." you shrug, biting down on your bottom lip nervously. "and some that don't matter." you add quickly, glancing back at valeria who was smirking, watching you. she didn't even have the decency to be embarrassed about what you said, instead finding amusement at your awkwardness.
"yeah?" she replies, her voice laced with mischief as she pushes herself away from the wall and takes a close step to you, arms folded casually. her gaze was burning into your soul as she spoke, and you couldn't help but look away, heat creeping onto your cheeks again as you stared off into space, wondering how you could possibly make this conversation less uncomfortable.
"i came because i wanted to see you." you said, trying to ignore the way she slowly started to circle you like a predator its prey. her coat slowly slipping off her shoulders before she tosses it on the desk behind you, now completely out of your eyesight. "and I want to get out of here, with you." you mumble, shifting uneasily as her hand comes to rest on the small of your back, fingers digging slightly into your flesh. the ties on your wrists feel tighter than when they were first forced on you, now hurting and itching as they dug into your skin.
"you expect me to go with you, cariño?" she laughed, her breath tickling your ear as she spoke. you bit your lip anxiously again, turning slightly to face valeria. her hands still resting firmly on your back, making you unable to look anywhere else but her face. she smiled warmly at you, eyes flitting from your eyes to your mouth before she leaned forward slowly, pressing her lips softly to yours.
oh how you missed kissing her, the warmth of her parting lips and the burning sensation of lust that tinted her kisses. it was all too addicting, all too filled with emotions that it was far easy for you to understand that she was rejecting your proposal of running away together. valeria had always been stubborn like that, refusing to change her mind no matter what happened or how much it pained you.
"please..." you both know not what you're pleading for when you push against her lips. Is it that she should come and flee with you, find a place where you two can live happily ever after free from the burden of resentment that the remnants of this life may harbor against you? was it so that she could offer you her undivided devotion one last time before you gave up on the notion of the ideal life you had told her about?
the binds around your wrists loosen, falling to the ground with a small thud and she appears in front of you. valeria presses her forehead against yours, her soft lips ghosting against yours softly until you pull her closer, deepening the kiss slowly. she pulls you up from the chair, her hand catching yours and wrapping them around her neck before wrapping her arms around your waist.
"come with me, run away with me..." you sob against her lips, trying to keep up with her pace as she backs you up against the desk, pushing you up on it.
you could barely hear anything beyond the pounding of your heart and the frantic beating of your pulse, a piece of her telling you no followed by some idiotic excuse. it was getting hard to breathe though, and you knew she could tell as she stopped moving, holding your face between her palms to stare at you. you felt your head spinning as you watched her eyes dart to your lips, and then up to your eyes again.
"i can't, you know i can't."

Danny, the 'twig' Bouncer #2
A/N: My original Idea was that Danny worked at some random neutral Bar. Buuuut the Reblogs were inspiring, so I think I will add to this whenever I get some ideas. Also now our sweet super dense Ghost boy is working in the Iceberg Lounge as Bouncer. But just a warning, I know like zero cannon names of people that work there aside from who owns it in the dc comics. Sooo yea... sorry if i get something wrong here. It's just that titbit would make Danny's obliviousness a whole lot more funny....
Exactly 30 days later, one month, Danny stepped back into the bar through the front doors. He would have gone in through the back door but that entrance was currently blocked by a van. Probably some drink delivery's for the bar. Probably. They did look busy enough that Danny didn't want to squeeze past them just to get in. Last guy who disrupted their work got fired on the spot. Or at least Danny hadn't seen the guy ever again. He still needed the job to sedate his obsession. So he took the front door.
Man his weird promotion must have been gossiped about. People kept staring at him wide eyed, though he noticed a couple of his coworkers appear to be relieved to see him again. He just gave them a smile before going to the back rooms. Though he couldn't help but glance at the red helmet guy. He had been hanging around the entrance to Danny's underground home and seemed to appear every time Danny had left his home to get some groceries, some materials for his pet projects or some sort of fresh air. He had caught the guy laying our traps and he also had offered him a better payed job. Danny had declined though.
He needed to lay low. And he didn't think working for someone with a recognisable red helmet was laying low. Besides his underground-neighbours, Waylon and Grundy, said the guys name was Red Hood, and that he was a known Crime Lord apparently. Which only added to the fact that working for Red Helmet dude was not going to help handle his obsession. A shame, he did seem like a nice guy to hang out with, ignoring the weird feeling Danny was getting around him. But yeah, working for that guy surely wasn't laying low.
"Danny you're back, alive." He blink at Tailor, one of the other bouncers a good head or two taller than him and just hummed in greeting, resisting to make an insider pun. Not like he could tell the guy that he was actually half dead, then he remembered a hole in a wall he saw on his way to work. Originally he was going to ask Steve, the barkeeper and gossip source of the bar, but Tailor was just as good of a source.
"Hey Tailor, what happened to the wall across the street?" He asked as he took off his shirt to change it for his working shirt.
"You don't know? Red Hood cut the wall with the Jokers imprint out and is keeping it as a trophy, or that's what I heard."
"The Joker's imprint?" Danny tilted his head confused, it sounded like someone threw the guy with immunity against a wall hard enough to leave a human shaped imprint. Huh, Danny wondered, I hope I didn't inspire someone to do that with my stunt a month ago. From what he remembered his boss telling him, messing with the guy that called himself Joker was a very bad idea and could result in permanent death for normal human beings.
His thoughts must have been shown on his face because Tailor just laughed, shaking his head as he patted Danny's shoulder and left the backrooms first. Leaving the ghost boy to mull over it and also wonder why Red Hood would even want to keep a piece of wall as a trophy.
He was still thinking about it as he leaned against the wall in his usual Spot when Red Hood approach him.
"So, you thought about the job offer? I can include one of my safe houses as an apartment for you." The modulated voice resounded and Danny frowned, that was a tempting offer but...
"No thanks. Thanks to my promotion vacation, I finally had time to fix my kitchen area and the air filtration my neighbor as been nagging me about for weeks."
"You live in the sewers." Even through the voice modulation Danny caught the unimpressed, deadpan, are-you-serious tone and barked out a laugh in response.
"It's rent free, I got my own space mostly fixed up and I got two neighbors with similar intents of staying out of sight that only asked me to help fix their spaces up too. All that's missing is finally finding a clean water source I can pull from to finish my bathroom and washing area."
"What the fuck? Why the sewers if I can offer you a fucking safe house?" Danny grinned, living underground was nice, no one was there to disturb him. There was no real address to track him back to and a lot of quick escapes routes should certain people show up. He had build his own little underground apartment which had nearly all utilities a normal apartment had. Plus he got two very nice neighbors, that had been grumpy in the beginning, but eventually warmed up to him. Now they even occasionally spared with him, so he gets fights where he didn't have to hold his strength back, it was great!
"If I don't find a clean water source, I will just put building a water filtration system on my pet project list right after fixing our TV system so me and my neighbours can stream and i can show them what a real horror movie night really is about." He shrugged, turning his eyes away from Red Hood who's voice modulator sounded sort of strangled or like the man was muttering something inaudible and watched a couple of drunks stumbling around the club with narrowed eyes.
"Triple. I will pay you triple if you work for me."
Danny side-eyed the man before pushing off the wall. The drunks were starting to cause a problematic ruckus, and Steve had signaled him to get them out. "Sorry man, still not interested."
He pushed up some imaginary sleeves before letting a friendly buisness smile spread across his face as the crowd started to cheer the moment they noticed Danny approaching the drunks. "Okay buddies! Time to get out, peace is an option!"
Red Hood watched how one of the drunks swung at the 'twig' bouncer before getting flipped and carried with one hand by the neck like a cat. Danny now sporting a feral grin as he stared at the other drunks that looked torn between attempting to fight him and fleeing.
The crime lord continued watching the display of strength and breath taking feral grin for a while longer before a distinctive "Fuck." Came through his voice modulator.

Please Ignore this if you aren't taking requests rn, but I had an Idea, Like how would Fukuzawa, Oda, etc react if you would accidentally call them Dad? If you want you can add other characters by accidentally calling them brother or sister :3 (omg imagine Yosano)
Omg yes that's so good. Sorry it took so long to write this piece I'm currently a bit busy at work but I finally managed. I hope you like it♡

he is so so surprised when you accidently call him "dad"
oh boy he tries to keep it cool to keep up appearances, but as soon as he's alone he smiles so much
he's so happy that you see him like that
will remember your words for longer than you expected
A wave of fear washed over you when Dazai informed you that the president has just summoned you in his office. It wasn't like you did anything bad, yet you couldn't help but wonder why he wanted to see you.
"Mr. President?" you asked in a hushed voice as you stepped into his office with your head bowed. "You wanted to see me."
"Ah, Y/N, yes. Please take a seat" said the silver haired man as he motioned you towards a cushioned pillow on the ground. "Would you like some tea?"
You mumbled a small 'mhm' before sitting on the mat. "So why did you want to see me, sir? Did I do something?"
Your tried to hide your anxiety but the tone of your voice betrayed you. Fukuzawa lifted his gaze from the tea he was pouring, his ocean eyes narrowing at you.
"Why would you assume you did something wrong?" he inquired.
"Well..." you stuttered "You don't usually ask me to come to your office so I figured that I messed something up."
A heavy silence fell between the two of you; you could even hear your own racing heartbeat. But then Fukuzawa's lips curled into a gentle smile.
"Oh, Y/N. I just wanted to congratulate you for doing such a great job. Your work is invaluable to our organization and I wanted to personally thank you for your contribution."
The relief you felt upon hearing his praise could hardly be put into words; your lips stretched into a gleeful smile as you bowed your head.
"Thank you sir. I'm honoured to be a member of this agency and I really cannot express how happy I am that my hard work pays off, dad. I promise I won't disappoint you and-"
The look of surprise on Fukuzawa's face made you stop in dead in your tracks. What was wrong? You asked yourself as you went over your speech in your mind. And then you realized that you had just called him dad.
"Oh God I'm sorry, sir. I didn't think when I said that"
Fukuzawa's expression softened as he handed you your cup of tea; steam curling on its surface like grape vines.
"Don't worry about it" he said reassuringly "I don't mind it."
The two of you quietly sipped your sweet tea before he let you return to work. After you shut the door, Fukuzawa finally allowed himself to externalize the sheer amount of happiness he felt. There was nothing he loved more than being able to take care of the Agency's members, and the fact that you considered him a father figure was proof that he was doing a good job.

he smiles so gently♡
if you get embarassed he pets your head and reassures you that it's alright
Oda's really proud of himself; from then on he always brings you curry at work
It was only eight months ago that the Port Mafia decided to recruit you as an assistant. Your job was pretty basic: compling reports for different missions and sorting paperwork but you loved it since it allowed you to meet almost all higher ups in the organization.
This is how you ended up getting acquainted with Oda. Although he was around seven years older than you, he was surprisingly high spirited and young at heart and unlike other members of the Mafia he was always kind to you. Oda would often swing by the dusty underground room that acted as your office and ask how you day was, bringing you snacks and tea.
After a few months his visits became something natural and at times, when you were absorbed in your work, you didn't fully acknowledge his presence.
"Hi, Y/N. How's your day going?" asked the brunette as he shut the wooden door, causing a cloud of dust to rise from the floor.
"Jesus" he coughed "You really need to clean this place one day"
"Yea, I know. I just cannot find a damn broom in this entire building. Oh and I'm good thanks for asking. What about you?" you replied, typing away on your laptop. The keys on the computer board clicked faintly as you quickly ran your digits over them.
Your comment made Oda chuckle lightly "Well, my day's fine too. I'm gonna go on a mission later but I wanted to bring you lunch first" he said as he placed a cardboard box on your desk.
"Oh, thanks dad" you babbled out, still not taking your eyes off of the glowing screen.
It was only when the man let out a hoarse laughter that you actually snapped out of your trance.
"Did you just call me dad?" he asked in a playful voice, causing your face to heat up.
"Uh... Did I? I guess I did" you said in attempt to play it off. "Do you mind it?"
"Of course not, Y/N. It's really nice to know that you see me as a father figure."
For a few seconds your gaze held his and you could see the joy sparkling in his eyes; he was giddy, like a kid in a candy store.
The wholesome moment was however abruptly interrupted by a blink; you had just received another e mail from your boss, asking you to go over some old documents from the archive.
"Uuh this work just never ends!" you cried out, throwing your hands in the air in a desperate gesture.
Oda only chuckled at your outburst, his smile widening. "Well then I'll leave you to it, but don't forget to eat something too"
"I won't. Thanks Oda and good luck on the mission"
The man lazily waved at you before stepping out of the room, a gentle smile making its way to his lips. She called me dad. He kept chanting those words to himself throughout the whole day, his heart swelling with unbounded pride and joy.
𝑹𝒂𝒏𝒑𝒐
sweet baby, he already knew that you saw him as a brother, but actually calling him that makes him smile so much
he pinches your cheeks till they're red, good luck getting rid of him now
as someone who never actually had a family until he met Fukuzawa, having someone else see him as an older brother is such an honour
from then on, Ranpo shares more of his sweets with you
You've been working at the Detective Agency for a couple of months now and Ranpo was your mentor. He had found you one day at a crime scene, hovering over the body with an inquisitive look on your face.
"Sirs, it may look like this man committed suicide but based on the angle the blade was tilted at I can rule it a homicide. There's no way he could've held the knife like that" you announced confidently as one of the police officers dragged you away from the corpse.
You were hectically swinging your arms and legs in attempt to free yourself. "I'm telling you, it wasn't suicide. You're jumping to conclusions."
"Shut up, brat" spat the vexed policeman as he showed you past the yellow tape that restricted the perimeter. "You better not cross the line again unless you wanna end up in jail. This is your last warning" he said before walking away from you.
You huffed in annoyance, turning on your heels when you suddenly bumped into the young detective.
"You're quite observant, young lady" he said in his usual jovial voice. "Tell me, how old are you?"
"Seventeen..." you mumbled, your eyes narrowing at him "And who are you?"
The young man chuckled as a wide smile made its way to his lips. "I'm Ranpo Edogawa, the world greatest detective. And you, miss, are in great luck. I want to rectruit you as my apprentice."
From then on you accompanied Ranpo to crime scenes and solved countless cases together, the friendship between you growing stronger by the day.
One Monday evening as you returned to the office from a crime site, you enthusiastically pulled Ranpo in for a hug.
"Thanks, nii-chan. This was my biggest case so far and I couldn't have solved it without you." you beamed.
For a brief moment the detective was awestruck; he was accustomed to your sudden affections, but it was the first time you've ever called him big bro.
As if sensing his bewilderment you quickly pulled away from him, a deep shade of pink tinting your cheeks as you fumbled for words.
"I'm sorry Ranpo I don't know why I said that."
The detective regained his composure, flashing you his signature smirk "Hey, hey don't worry, Y/N" he said gently as he caressed the crown of your head. "You can always count on your big bro. Let's go get some sweets now, ok? My treat."
You nodded eagerly and began walking towards the closest convenience store; Ranpo stood behind, his emerald eyes following your movements. A warm feeling, which was most likely a blend of love and pride, bloomed in his chest as he watched you open the glassy door of the shop.
"You coming?" you yelled at him in attempt to cover the sound of the incoming traffic and he quickly followed you. The door closed behind him with a thud as you entered the shop.
𝒀𝒐𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒐
she blushes so much but she's so happy
much like Ranpo she's deeply moved when she hears your words
expect her to take you on more shopping sprees
"Keep up, Y/N. We still have a few more shops to check out" said the woman with a wide grin on her face as she entered yet another store.
It was the beginning of summer and almost all boutiques had clothes on sale, which meant that your colleague ought to take you on one of her infamous shopping sprees. Since you only started your job only a few months ago, you couldn't afford most of the ellegant garments displayed in the shop windows, so you simply resolved to carrying around Yosano's bags.
"Naa girly wait for me" you whined as you struggled to balance the shiny box Yosano just handed you.
The woman, seemingly ignoring your complaints, walked to a nearby mannequin and scanned the dress it was wearing with narrowed eyes.
"Tell me, Y/N. Do you like this?" she asked in a contemplative voice.
You considered the dress for a moment before speaking; it was truly gorgeous, a black piece adorned with intricate purple and pink patters which looked like curls of smoke.
"It's very beautiful, Akiko. You'd look great in it."
Your friend sighed, her head dropping to the side as her violet eyes met yours "That wasn't the question, Y/N. I asked if you like it."
You were taken aback by her blunt words but quickly nodded, earning a smile from the woman.
"Good. Then try it on" she said, taking a clothes hanger from a nearby rack.
You didn't bother to hide your excitement as you rushed to the changing rooms and slipped into the dress; and it fit you like a glove, perfectly hugging all your curves. With excitement burning in your eyes, you stepped out of the dressing room.
"Soo what do you think?" you asked your friend, performing a twirl.
"Oyy you look so hot girl" she cheered "Wear this to the next event we go to and you'll sweep everyone off their feet."
"I highly doubt that" you giggled, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "Plus I can't afford it anyway"
"Nonsense! I'm buying it for you" announced the woman with a proud smile on her face.
"But I can't accept it, Aki. It's way too-"
Yosano cut you short with a swift motion of her hand "Then consider it a birthday gift. You're turning 20 next month right?"
An ecstatic smile made it's way to your lips as you hugged her. "Thanks, nee chan" you whispered, your arms snaking around her neck.
Upon hearing your words Yosano's face turned a light shade of pink but she wasted no time to slip her hands around your torso, pulling you closer to her. Happiness bubbled up inside her when she felt you giggle agaist her shoulder.
"Anytime, Y/N" she smiled back

Cause Baby You're My Muse [Chapter 30]
Genre: Romance, Idol!AU, Music, Slight angst
Pairing: Mingi x Reader (y/n)
Characters: Producer!Reader, IdolLyricist!Mingi, IdolProducer!Hongjoong, Idol!Seonghwa, Idol!Yunho, Idol!Wooyoung, Idol!San, Idol!Yeosang, Idol!Jongho, cameo(s) by other celebrities
Summary: You always preferred producing underground, having an unknown face and governed by your own rules. But when you start freelancing for idol groups, you say goodbye to your lone wolf lifestyle as you learn to work with idol producers and lyricists.
Word count: 3.3K
Just like you and Mingi predicted, you were so busy that you haven't really spent any time with him over the next couple of weeks. What made you feel worse was not being able to see Haneul.
You started early or worked through the night that having Haneul around would just not be fair to her. You wouldn't be able to give your attention to her and care for her, which is why she still doesn't live with you.
"Mingi hyung, are you okay?" Jongho asked, noticing the taller male unusually quiet, a distant look on his face.
"I'm worried about Indigo... You know she had just been cooped up in her studio. I've been busy too so I haven't gone to visit her and check if she's okay." Mingi sighed.
"It's normal when it's comeback preparation season for producers. Hongjoong hyung hasn't been coming home too." Jongho said.
"Her studio is just downstairs, buddy. You can ask her." Yunho patted Mingi on the shoulder.
"No... I don't want to disturb her. She's stresesd out as is..." Mingi chewed on his bottom lip. He groaned, falling back to lay on the practice room floor. He missed you so much.
"I'm sure you won't stress her." Yunho chuckled.
"It's not me that will stress her. It's the thought of me that will stress her out. I know her, she'll see me and feel bad for not spending time with me. I don't want to add to that. If she thinks we're both busy that we can't spend time with each other, it'll make her feel less guilty." Mingi explained.
"Wow." Jongho snorted with a smile. Even Yunho blinked, speechless at how Mingi was so confident in his knowledge of you.
Mingi didn't even know your schedule, he just knew you were busy. The both of you decided not to share a calendar and overwhelm or worry the other party.
"Maybe you can cook her a meal, lighten that load." Wooyoung joined the discussion circle.
"My omma has been giving me food to give to her." Mingi said flatly. He remembers the shock, thinking the food was for him but his mother warned him not to eat it, saying it was for you only.
"I would suggest we all surprise her but with Mingi's whole insight into Indigo's psyche earlier, I'm not sure if that will go well."
"You guys think of something. I'll just buy her a coffee and get it delivered to her studio first." Mingi pushed himself to stand up, going to retrieve his phone. He ordered two iced coffees from the cafe you liked and got it delivered to your studio.
'Thanks for the coffee, Mings... I really needed it. Are you in the studio today? - Prod. Baby'
'Yeah. Actually I'm already in the building, we just finished dance practice. - Mings'
'Can you come? - Prod. Baby'
"That's my queue. I'll see you guys later." Mingi slung his bag over his shoulder and left the dance studio. Before going to you, he went to the bathroom to change out of his hoodie and into a clean shirt.
DING DONG
Mingi stood there, waiting for you to open the door. Not that you didn't tell him your studio password or anything, he simply didn't want to know it when you offered to tell him. That was your private space, not his, and if he was going to be inside, you should be there with him.
"Mings." A smile appeared on your face as you opened the door and took him in. Mingi dropped his bag, immediately leaning down to scoop you into his arms.
"I missed you." You said, muffled into his shoulder as your arms tightened around his neck.
"Me too." He mumbled, rubbing his face into your neck. He took a deep breath, inhaling your familiar scent and relaxed in your hold.
Like always, Mingi didn't let you go. Instead, he teetered into the studio, closing the door behind him. He didn't care that his bag was left in the hallway.
"You left your bag out there, silly." You giggled.
"It's fine. There's nothing good to steal in there." Mingi said. You shook your head with a laugh, leaning in to give him a quick peck. After that, you went to get his bag from outside, closing the door and locking the door after that.
"Baby, have you been sleeping here again?" Mingi asked, finally noticing the set up pull out bed. You hadn't bothered to tidy it up since you were using it for night sleeps and naps.
That was when Mingi took in your appearance as well. You looked tired, pale with sunken eyes. You also felt lighter when Mingi lifted you up.
"Only for the past two nights." You confessed. Mingi didn't lecture you or scold you.
"Poor, baby." He hugged you.
"That's fine. I just needed to see you. I'm already feeling much better after seeing you." You wrapped your arms around his waist, sticking yourself to him like a baby koala.
"Let's take a nap, hmm? I'll wake you up when you want me to." Mingi suggested kindly. That sounded really tempting, sleeping with Mingi beside you, holding you. Looking back at your desk, you thought about all the work you have been doing. Maybe you could afford a 1-hour nap or even 2-hours.
"Okay. Wake me up in 2 hours." You told him. Mingi nodded, setting the alarm on his phone. You dimmed the lights as you both settled on the pull out bed.
"It's not as comfortable as home." You chuckled, feeling the springs move easily under you.
"That's okay. It's better than nothing." He smiled, happy to just be with you. One arm was tucked under your head, becoming your pillow and his other arm draped over your waist loosely.
"Before you sleep..." Mingi started. You hummed in question.
"This." He pressed his lips against yours. You smiled into the kiss, hands coming up to hold his cheeks. You felt Mingi squeeze the flesh of your waist.
"Okay, now you can sleep." He said, pulling away. You laughed at how silly he was as you tucked your face into the crook of his neck.
You fell asleep in record time, forgetting where you were temporarily. The previous two weeks of barely getting any sleep caught up with you so quickly. All that mattered was that Mingi was here with you and you were in safe in his arms.
"Baby? Love? It's time to wake up." Of course Mingi didn't want to wake you up but he promised he would and he didn't want you to be upset that you slept for so long.
"Hmm..." You groaned, clutching onto Mingi's shirt.
"You can sleep longer if you want. I just don't want you to be mad at me if I didn't wake you up first." He said.
"Not... mad... You smell... good...." You mumbled out with your face still smushed against Mingi's bicep. He laughed, his free hand coming up to thread through your hair.
"Thanks?"
"You're welcome..." You replied. You were obviously half asleep, not really aware of the conversation you were having with Mingi.
"Need to... work... But I don't want... to move..." You grumbled with your eyes still closed. Mingi wanted to carry you up and take you home to continue sleeping in a proper bed. He showered you in kisses until you scrunched your nose and peeked open an eye to stare at him.
"Oh, we're still in the studio." You yawned, stretching your arms over your head as you blinked, taking in your surroundings. You had forgotten that you were here.
"Up we go." Mingi helped you sit up and you rubbed the sleep out of your eyes.
"Go work. I'll clear all this up." Mingi patted your lower back to urge you to move, tossing the pillows aside.
"Mmm, okay." You hummed and shuffled over to sit in your chair. Mingi tidied up the bed, he folded the blanket and placed it into the basket you had before making everything look like a couch again.
"All done." He came over and leaned down to give you a kiss on the cheek. You turned to see everything put away neatly.
"Thank you." You tilted your head up to give him a peck. You reached over to take a sip of your coffee before going back to work. Mingi sat on the couch, not wanting to disturb or distract you. He had his phone out, writing some lyrics.
"Mings, aren't you tired from practice? You don't have to wait for me to finish. You could go home if you'd like." You said to him, not taking your eyes off the screen in front of you.
"No, I'm okay. I know I don't have to wait, I want to. But if you want the space to think alone, I'm fine too." Mingi replied.
"No, I do want you here." You turned around to look at him.
"Even if you aren't right next to me, knowing you're there with me makes me feel less anxious. I can't describe it. It's almost like you have a calming effect on me." You explained.
"Don't worry, I understand because I feel the same when you're with me too." Mingi chuckled.
"Really?" You tilted your head. He nodded in confirmation.
You smiled softly then turned back to do your work. Sure, you joke about how Mingi can be distracting when you're trying to work but you never actually minded him being around you. It was true, he had that effect on you. You didn't feel stressed, anxious or overwhelmed by all the work.
After working for some time, Mingi noticed that it was time for dinner. He was going to order some takeout for the both of you when a text came in from Wooyoung.
'Bring Indigo upstairs to the roof! - Wooyoung'
'But she's busy... - Mingi'
'Tell her Seonghwa hyung and Hongjoong hyung told her to go. She'll agree. - Wooyoung'
"Hey, baby? Sorry to interrupt." Mingi approached you carefully, gently tapping your shoulder so as to not startle you. You removed your headphones and looked at him quizically.
"The captain and Seonghwa hyung asked me to bring you upstairs." Mingi explained.
"Why?" You tilted your head.
"Not sure... I was just told to bring you." He scratched his head. True to what Wooyoung predicted, you put your headphones down and saved your progress before heading up with him. Since it was late, Mingi boldly held your hand the entire way.
"What-"
"Surprise!" The roof top was decked out with lanterns and fairy lights. Seonghwa and Wooyoung were standing over a big pot of some sorts, stirring what looked to be soup.
"Unnie!" Haneul wiggled in San's arms. He let her down and she ran to you. You bent down to hug her tightly.
"Haneulie, I missed you so much." You whispered as you showered her in kisses. She burst into a fit of giggles from the tickles.
"Did you plan this?" You turned to Mingi.
"Nope! It was the rest of us." Hongjoong slung an arm around your shoulder, leading you away. Haneul held onto your free hand, an excited, giddy smile on her face. You went to give Wooyoung, Yeosang and Seonghwa thank you hugs. Despite not being on for skinship, Jongho let you hug him.
"Thank you for driving to get Haneul." You hugged Yunho. He smiled brightly, happily hugging you. He even lifted you up a little like Mingi usually does with you.
"Me too! Me too! I went along." San snatched you away to hug you.
"Yah, that's enough." Mingi voiced. Haneul let go of your hand and ran to him to hug his leg.
"Hi there, little princess." He smiled and bent down to hold Haneul. She always liked when Yunho or Mingi held her because she felt so tall. Haneul giggled and wrapped her arms around Mingi.
"Hi, big princess!" She kicked her legs slightly with happiness. Mingi blinked at the nickname she just called him.
"But I'm not a princess?"
"You are! Yunho oppa said so!" Haneul pointed to the other tall male, who was snickering. Mingi shot his best friend a flat look. Of course it would originate from him.
"Okay, no more giant princess. Come here, little bear." Jongho cut in and took Haneul away. Haneul willingly sat in Jongho's lap as they looked out the balcony at the cars and people walking by. You softened watching the two of them.
"Mine." You jumped at Mingi's sudden appearance behind you. He draped his arms over your shoulders from the back.
"Alright, alright. Time to eat kids." Seonghwa called. After Yeosang handed you a drink, Wooyoung came and stole you from Mingi, sitting you beside him.
"Yah, Jung Wooyoung!" Mingi yelled in protest.
"We made Baeksuk. For you to replenish your energy." Wooyoung ignored Mingi and spoke to you excitedly. Hongjoong, San and Yunho helped given out the bowls of hot chicken soup to everyone.
"Wait, wait. I need to help Haneul cut up the meat." You chuckled, standing back up.
"Don't worry, Indigo. I got it. Just sit and enjoy your dinner." Jongho assured. He used his chopsticks to pick off the meat and shredded it into small pieces for Haneul, mixing it with her rice.
"Thanks, Jongho ah." You smiled softly, melting at how Jongho was with Haneul. They have grown close even if he wouldn't verbally admit it. You sat back down beside Wooyoung and Yeosang. Mingi's face fell as he sulked, he had hoped that you would still change seats to sit with him.
"Thank you for the surprise, everyone. For bringing Haneul here and cooking. Although, I'm curious how you all got such a big pot." You giggled, raising your soda can.
"We rented it. You can do that, surprisingly. But you're welcome, we hope you have all the energy after this." Seonghwa smiled.
"I will." You looked at all of them. It won't be the food that gave you energy but everyone seated here with you.
"Is it good, little bear?" Jongho asked.
"Mhmm!" Haneul said, shovelling the food into her mouth. Jongho laughed and wiped her mouth with a napkin. He added more seaweed into her bowl to mix with the rice and chicken.
"Here, let me help you." San wore two layers of gloves and helped you tear apart the chicken, putting one of the legs in your bowl.
"Thank you, Sannie." You dipped the chicken and ate it with the radish kimchi. It tasted very good, just the comforting meal you needed. What made it taste better was the fact that the Ateez boys put in effort to cook it for you.
"We know you're busy tomorrow but if it's okay with you, we would like to take Haneul to the aquarium?" Yunho asked softly. Your hand stopped in its movement.
"But if you're not comfortable, we won't." Yeosang quickly added, having noticed how you stiffened.
"It's nothing to do with you guys. It's not that I don't trust you with her..." You bit the inside of your cheek, trying to explain yourself.
"It's just... I have to think of her safety. What if the media or fans know that you're there? I don't want her face planted all over the news." You sighed.
"It's okay to be honest and worried about her safety, Indigo. We completely understand and don't take offense to that at all. We actually called and the aquarium is willing to open late for us to visit in the morning before they open the public. If you're fine with that." Wooyoung explained.
"If it's just going to be you guys and her, I don't mind. But are you sure you guys have the time to take her?" You asked.
"Yeah. Jongho, Yunho, Wooyoung and I will be there. We'll go and have lunch before coming back." Yeosang said.
"Okay then. You guys should be the ones to tell her. I'm sure she will be happy to hear it from you." You gave a little smile, watching as the boys told Haneul their plan tomorrow.
"Really?!" Her eyes lit up.
"Yeah, baby. But I won't be able to go because I have work. You'll go with the oppas, okay?" You told her. She nodded excitedly.
"Yay! Aquarium!" She cheered. Jongho mimicked her, throwing his hands up in celebration as well.
After the meal, you all helped clean up before going home. You figured you could skip a night of work since you didn't want Haneul to wait for you in your studio. She sat on the couch, waiting patiently for you to pack up.
"Princess oppa is coming home with us?" Haneul tilted her head, looking at Mingi who sat beside her. All the others had gone on their own way, back to shared dorm.
"Yeah..." You stopped, realising that you still haven't told her about you and Mingi.
"Why?" She asked.
"Well... Because..." Mingi tried to help but it ended up failing, not able to come up with an excuse to tell the child. He looked at you for help. You laughed at his helpless expression.
"How should I say this? Baby, Mingi has become my... partner. So he stayed over with me from time to time." You explained.
"Like how an omma and appa are?"
"N-No. We're not married. This is like that stage before they get married?" You scratched your head, unable to really explain to her the concept of dating. But Haneul seemed to accept it, nodding her head. Mingi, on the other hand, was reeling from the fact that you described your relationship as the step before marriage.
"I'm ready. Shall we go home?" You asked. Mingi shook his head to clear his head. He wordlessly came to take your bag for you, slinging it over his own shoulder.
"Let's go!" Haneul jumped down from the couch and held your hand. You smiled down at her.
"I'll call a cab." Mingi said.
You and Mingi pulled up your masks before you entered the cab. Haneul sat on your lap and you wrapped your arms around her, resting your head against her.
"Comfy?" You chuckled. She nodded with a hum. She reached up and toyed with your earrings, something she did since she was a baby. You guessed that she must have been tired because she ended up with her falling asleep.
"Hang on, let me help you." When the cab stopped, Mingi put the bag on the ground and came to your side. You very carefully moved Haneul into Mingi's arms.
"Your husband is very kind." The taxi driver complimented as you handed him the money.
"Thank you. Goodnight, ahjusshi." You didn't bother to correct him. You got out of the cab and carried the bags.
"Don't worry, I got it." You assured Mingi. He nodded, adjusting Haneul so she would be more comfortable. The two of you went up to the apartment.
"Why don't you shower first? I'll change Haneul's clothes." You asked. Mingi nodded and leaned in to give you a sweet kiss before going to the bathroom. You grabbed a towel to wipe Haneul's face, arms and legs then changed her into her pajamas. She must have been tired because she didn't even stir when you moved her.
"Goodnight, baby." You kissed her cheek, tucking her in.
"I'll sleep on the couch tonight." Mingi said when you passed him to go shower, holding your hand.
"No... We haven't spent time in two weeks... There is more than enough space in the bed. That is, if you don't mind sharing the bed with Haneul and I." You said.
"You sure?" He kissed the back of your hand.
"Yeah. With the way we cuddle, we only take up half the bed anyway." You chuckled. Mingi softened, wrapping his arms around your waist to pull you in. He had really missed you so much. Holding your chin, he tilted your head up so he could press his lips against yours.

Stanky Danky | A New Dev-elopment | Lost and Founder's Day
Random 2nd watch thoughts that made me laugh
Stanky Danky - I like how Dale calls Dev "Devin," because I didn't catch it on my first watch (Too quiet), but I know he calls him that again in "A New Dev-elopment." Good to note (I know he just says "Dev" in "Lost and Founder's Day," when he's frustrated).
I checked to see what Dale said in the message Dev got on his birthday, but he doesn't call him by name. It IS actually a happy birthday message, which is impressive... for Dale's usual levels of parental failure
Fascinated by Dale using "innit" like a Brit despite his dad having a Southern drawl (which I would've paired with "ain't it?"). He does it twice!
We don't see another parent for him in the OG series and even if he had one when he was young, we know he spent 7 years underground and that could've easily slipped away. He probably gets that from doing business overseas
Actually, the founder statues talk with different accents. Maybe their family just gets around.
Dale's study is full of framed pictures of money and boots. He has a skull on his bookshelf and at this point, I'm afraid to ask.
I thought I glimpsed his secret cave behind the profit charts (which would only be shown to us 25 episodes later), but alas, it was not...
Also, the Dimmadome front lawn has dollar sign hedges.
A New Dev-elopment - I like how the pavement outside the Dimmadome tower goes directly into the bottom floor. Of course they'd have some kind of patio area that's fully enclosed by walls.
??? Dev's bed is on the statue? Why?
That's so dangerous!!
This tiny fence is the only thing keeping Dev from certain death.
Also, I'm obsessed with the implication that Peri was poofing up cupcakes where Dale totally could've seen them.
This is so funny to me. It doesn't seem so wild when we're inside!!
?? I like how when Dale tells Dev to turn down his game volume in "A New Dev-elopment," he claims he can hear it from his office, which we later learn is inside the statue's ear.
Or at least, the secret room is inside the ear, and the bedroom is implied to be inside the mouth since that's more easily accessible to Dev (who'd never seen the secret room) and Dev calls the mouth "his dad's room."
I'm shocked by Dale's faith that one of the kids at Dev's birthday won't fall over the fence and sue them.
Unfortunately, I don't think he thinks like that. It's about aesthetic...
Lost and Founder's Day
I like how (like Kevin Crocker can't walk as fast as his uncle), Dev can't go as fast as his dad on the stairs. All the kids in this world have little legs...
It is so funny to me that when Hazel sneaks in and Dale's wearing his VR goggles, he's just dancin' to dramatic music.
Adds another layer to Cosmo's scheme of taking on a Dale disguise and dancing with the robots to distract them.
Robots out here like "Yeah, that seems in character."

RimWorld: Anomaly
I want to tell y'all a story.
So. RimWorld's fourth DLC Anomaly released this week, and for the past two days I've been playing it almost non-stop. I'll put it below the cut because its obviously a crapton of spoilers, but I'm just kind of blown away at how much story this DLC adds to the infamous story generator game.
Like, I have over 4,000 hours in this game and this is the first time that its felt like its telling me an actual story.
Spoilers ahead! TW: child death in the context of this cruel cruel video game:
I had this colonist join named Bristle who was described as a "leathery stranger" with a unique ability - he can blow up animals (and people, presumably) with his mind into hunks of twisted flesh. I said, sure, why not! Join my colony, what's the worst that could happen?!
Well, the worst that could happen is he went and studied a monolith on the beach outside of my base and it teleported him into a strange grey labyrinth. Pretty much just as soon as he got here, he's now trapped in some kinda void maze. Great!
It took me a couple of rooms before I noticed the markings on the floor, so once I realized I could read them I examined every single one I could find.
The messages are... Evocative, but they start giving me names. I'm wondering this whole time, who is Raisa? And who is Tom? I checked all of my colonists - I don't have anyone by either name. Are they people I should know? Or... People I haven't met yet?
Fortunately, because Bristle had literally just joined my colony, he came with his own rifle and 12x fine meals, so he could actually bum around and hang out in the labyrinth for a pretty long time. I ended up mapping out the entire thing before his last 6 meals disappeared from his inventory.
I found a couple rooms with fleshspikes - those are these pink little flesh monsters with a giant protruding spike coming out of their heads? - but thanks to Bristle's ability to explode creatures with his mind, I just... Exploded it.
I also found a couple groves of trees underground, a couple of horses randomly, and some bottomless pits. I was tempted to walk over one just to see what would happen (and savescum out of it ofc), but I didn't end up doing it.
I'm really concerned about Tom and Raisa though. Are they okay? Did they make it out?
I'm especially concerned about Tom. That... Doesn't sound okay.
And then I push through yet another door.
This is Raisa... And Tom.
I gasped out loud in real life. Nora came over to check on me because holy shit, that's so sad. Suddenly their notes makes sense. The obelisk abducted a woman and her child, and they got stuck in here for who knows how long. The wounds they had indicated that a fleshspike had done this to them.
I went to the exit - I had found it earlier, I just wanted to keep exploring. Thankfully, everything that had been left behind was kicked out of the labyrinth with Bristle when it collapsed on itself and the obelisk itself vanished from sight.
Including Raisa and Tom. I had to give them a proper burial. Wish I could've done more.
The messages were all from Raisa after she lost her son Tom.
I had done the two researchers one ghoul story start because I wanted to dive right into the DLC, and one of those researchers, Rose, arrived pregnant. Baby Thorn is almost three years old and still doesn't have a name.
Its kind of funny, because when I first landed she idly wandered near the monument, and I had one of those gamer coincidences where she walked by it right at the same time I got the notification that she was pregnant.
So I wound up continuing this colony even though it was a crap start, thinking I'd get some kind of void baby out of the deal? Nope, normal baby, normal birth. He's just chilling in his crib being looked after by the whole community as happy as can be. She must've been pregnant on the screen where I selected her for my colony and I just missed that detail.
Another funny thing about this kid, is that his father is Unknown, and apparently Rose's ex was the ghoul Kaito that I also started with. So, presumably, it was her ghoul (ex) husband's son, but the game's code doesn't seem to be able to link him as the other parent, either because he's a ghoul or because it happened as part of the game's starting conditions. Also she's actually gay on her character sheet, so I dunno how that worked for them? Ehh, I'm not gunna judge.
Anyways, I'm thinking about naming him Tom.
Here's hoping he has a long and full life.

Voice in the Abyss
[CHAPTER Ⅰ]
✨Manhwa : Into The Light Once Again
✨Elmir royal family x Fem!Reader
✨Warning : princess!reader, lost memory, yandere elements (both platonic and romantic), protect, ... (will add more)
📌Note: this is just a fanfic, there are many details unrelated to the original story line. English is not my native language, if I make grammatical mistakes or use incorrect words, please forgive me.
🎭Summary : You have a voice that is said to change the world, when you sing, your sweet voice makes people happy and all things flourish. One day, your kingdom was destroyed, you had to live with the pain of losing your family and being severely mistreated. But it seems that you will die in misery, there will be people who will come and take you out of the abyss.
[ Introduce ]
[ Chapter 1 ]
What happened?
...
You gaze silently out the light-filled window, your aimless eyes gazing into the distance. It's been two days since you woke up, Empress Iris – that beautiful purple-eyed woman said that you have been in a coma for almost 1 month since they found you.
"(Y/n) (L/n)"
The name crosses your mind, people say it's your name. You don't remember anything, your dark eyes look down at your bandaged hands, not an inch of flesh is healed right now, everywhere is full of wounds, some have become infected, some have become scars.
You are now in the Elmir Empire, a beautiful and prosperous Empire. Somehow you have been taken care of directly by the royal palace, everyone here is kind to you, even if you do not understand their language, but it seems that their words mean good. The only people you can hear are Empress Iris and Princess Aisha, who are by your side for two days today.
"(Y/n)"
The gentle voice wakes you up from the train of thought, Princess Aisha, she is looking at you with worried eyes.
"How are you feeling? Does it hurt anywhere?"
You shake your head slightly, then your tired eyes can see how relieved she is to see you're okay. Anytime you see anxiety on people's faces, you realize that you are the cause of that anxiety.
"Tell me if you're uncomfortable, please! I'll handle everything." Aisha gave you a reassuring smile, hoping to get some reaction from you. For the past two days, the priests have taken turns treating you. Your condition has improved significantly, you can eat normally and move around more. Even so, you still look empty, like a lifeless doll. Aisha hopes that after you can walk, she will take you for a walk around the palace grounds. It will certainly be very quick, the divine power of the priests will help you recover quickly.
You really can't help but feel grateful for the care and concern of everyone in the Elmir royal family, from the Empress, Princess to the servants, they are truly good people. You were sure of it after only two days of interacting with them, there really was no one who could care for another person with such incredible enthusiasm.
However, for Aisha.
To this day, Aisha can't forget the moment you were taken back to the palace, you almost stopped breathing, disheveled... and couldn't have looked more horrible. They can't imagine what you've been through, your body is full of wounds big and small, sickness and skin diseases. Anyone who saw your condition was dumbfounded, there were no words that could describe you then. They wonder if the people who make you like this are still human.
So cruel.
So evil.
Why would they treat a human being like that?
Even if you don't know them, their hearts won't allow them to leave you alone. Luckily, they narrowly saved your life.
Aisha finishes her flashbacks, she looks up at you, seeing your eyes staring at her startles her.
"W-what's wrong?"
You look at her intently, after a while, you open your mouth slightly, but then you stop. You feel like you want to say something to her. But somehow, you want to say something. You become confused, struggling to find a way to express your thoughts.
"You want to say something?"
Seeing that she understood, you quickly nodded. Aisha thought, then quickly ran out of the room, you looked at her puzzledly, Aisha came back very quickly, in her hand were a few sheets of paper with a pen and ink.
"We can communicate this way, if you can't already speak" Princess Aisha certainly couldn't hide her joy knowing you wanted to talk, because probably from the moment you woke up, apart from nodding or shaking your head to express your best friend's thoughts, you didn't express anything that sounded like you wanted to talk. Aisha is really curious what you want to say to her.
When you pick up the paper and pen from Aisha, you pause for a moment, then start writing something. Your hands trembling, the black letters trembling on the paper, the Princess stares at you intently, waiting for what you are writing. After you stop, you slowly hold up the paper in front of her, Aisha narrows her eyes, trying to see your indistinct zigzag handwriting clearly.
"Thank you"
"For was... take care of you?" Aisha looked up at you, meeting your expectant gaze. When you nod, she knows she's read exactly what you want to say.
Before she could say anything more, Aisha saw you start writing on paper, looking urgent and hurried, as if you were afraid you'd miss the time to speak your mind.
"Once I'm well, I'll leave right away."
As she read those words, Aisha frowned slightly.
"Why? Where are you going?" She asks you, leaving you momentarily confused.
"Go Home"
Go home.
That's what you want, even if there is no memory of your so-called 'home' in your mind.
Aisha can't help but be surprised, because since you regained consciousness from that coma, no one has told you about your hometown, maybe 'home' is not something you would think about now. But now, you tell her you want to go home. How can Aisha tell you that your home is now a ruin?
"(Y/n), you can only stay in Elmir for now..."
When the Princess says that, you look confused, your eyes on her waiting for an explanation.
"Well... You see, your health is still unstable, right?"
"Staying in Elmir will give you time to recuperate, and I and everyone will take care of you."
So... For now, please rest assured to stay in Elmir, okay?

Can you please do aged-down levi one-shot?? I've been thinking of a hc where levi didn't know how old he actually is since they don't have birth certificate back in the underground, the fact that he never celebrate his brithday didn't really help. Since Farlan said he's 25 when they first joined the scouts, Levi just assume he's also 25 and that he's just short. Timeskip (3-4 years?) to when the 104th cadets were recently admitted, one day, Levi had a growth spurt...and even grew taller than Hange (I mean..Armin had a frickin glow up when he's 19 ish..so Levi can too :,,)
The scouts we're just like....wth...how old r u, and Levi's just like uh idk 😒.
SORRY IF THIS IS WEIRD 😭✋
The Hope of Humanity Characters: Levi x Hange, Erwin, Miche, Eren Word count: 1122 words
Pale light filtered through the window’s cross grilles, exposing patches of flaking plaster around the walls of the small room. Beneath one of the tall panes stood a wooden desk and chair, whilst a low couch of blue leather ran alongside the adjoining wall. Sitting upon it, shoulders hunched, shirt dirtied and stained with blood, huddled Eren Jaeger. The boy was holding a white cloth to his bruised, swollen face. Hange Zoe knelt before him, brandishing a cotton swab with increasing vigour.
Behind them, Mike Zaccharius had crossed the space to gaze through the other unobstructed window. He stood so immensely tall that his blonde mop of hair almost swept its top frame. Commander Erwin Smith had followed, his boots striking smartly against the parquet floor. He too stooped before Eren and extended a hand. Captain Levi was leaning back against the far wall, arms crossed with a sullen air. As he stood surveying his comrades gathered around the shivering adolescent, something struck Hange about the man’s appearance. Then, their eyes widened as Levi strode forwards slowly.
His dark hair swept gracefully into grey-blue eyes, both narrowed in contempt. There was a coolness in his expression; a muscle flexing in his jaw.
But there was something else… something intrinsic about him had changed. Broad shoulders filled out his tan, leather jacket; the sleeves no longer reached his wrists. White cotton strained across his abdomen; the buttons of Levi’s shirt threatened to slide open with each stride. Dark straps cut into his sides as he moved. Buckles were laced tight over his thighs, revealing a swell of muscle through the material of his trousers. Hange’s eyes drifted along the inside of his thigh… oh, they were snug. Very snug.
They swallowed, wrenching their gaze away as Levi threw himself down heavily beside Eren. As Levi crossed a leg over his knee, with all the fluidity of a swift kick, the boy openly whimpered. He had been on the receiving end of enough of them to fear the power of that boot.
“Hey Eren… do you resent me?”
Hange was only half-listening, their eyes mapping out the proportions of the two individuals seated in front of them. Levi’s shadow towered over the adolescent, one arm resting along the back of the couch. Eren shifted so far forward that his rear was hardly touching the seat.
Calculations clouded Hange’s mind; measurements which did not add up. Invisible lines drew themselves in the air; the scale of the diagram defying the very core of Hange’s reasoning. Then again, if they weighed up the evidence…
Hange thought back to the Scouts’ last departure from Trost. Positioned upon horseback beside one another, Hange remembered the palpable anticipation as they had waited for the great, stone gate to rise before them.
“We’ve already bagged the craziest abnormal…”
“What? Where?”
There had come a swift movement of air as Levi had swept his arm towards them. Hange had jumped as his fingers traced their chin, clutching their jaw. He eased their chin up, forcing them to meet his gaze. Their noses were inches away from each other as a teasing glint had lit Levi’s eyes.
“Right here,” he had pronounced, looking down at them…
Back in the present, Hange shook themself from their deliberation.
“Speaking of abnormals… Levi?”
Levi’s eyes slid to Hange’s face. His mouth shaped a silent syllable, perplexed by their sudden interjection. For a moment, Hange had forgotten that they had been revisiting earlier conversations in their head rather than speaking aloud.
“Pardon the intrusion Levi, but have you… experienced a growth spurt?” they blurted out, “I mean, I’ve never heard of another guy my age…”
Levi was glowering at them, the muscle in his thigh tensed.
“Who says I’m your age?”
“Oh I… I thought…” Hange was scrambling nervously. “I thought… based on everything I’ve noted about… that is, your style of leadership, the dynamics you have with the younger members of your squad, your fussiness…”
“What, have you been studying me, Four Eyes?” Levi asked dryly, “you tired of your pets already?” The lash of his voice caused the boy beside him to shiver.
Hange turned to Erwin, astonished, who returned the gesture with a solemn nod.
“Well… it’s true that Levi had no official documentation when he joined us…” the Commander explained gravely, before lifting his head to regard Levi. “Your details, including your date of birth, were simply recorded from the information you gave us.”
Levi glanced at Hange who was still gaping up at him. Eren had lowered the cloth onto his lap, pulling at its corners until the edges had frayed.
“Look, no one cared about that kinda thing in the underground.” Levi shrugged. “I only put December 25th ‘cause it was easy to remember.”
“So…” Hange’s brow furrowed as they came to a conclusion. “We have no idea of your actual age… meaning for all we know… you could be…”
Yet another memory surfaced in Hange’s mind. They recalled the very first time Levi had performed with ODM gear in front of the other scouts… Hange remembered the flash of hooks as they had launched into tree bark… the elegant arc of his body as he had spiralled upwards, his training blades glinting… It was enough to send the blood rushing into Hange’s face, much as it had done that day. But that had occurred almost six years ago… how old had Levi been exactly? The unknown chilled Hange’s insides; cooled their flushed skin with sobering caution. Levi’s manner had been practically paternal towards Isabel. He had even been the voice of reason to Farlan. That level of maturity wasn’t often found in adolescents… Hange had seen enough of their comrades come and go to know that…
“At least this finally explains why you were rather, uh…” Erwin coughed into his large palm. Miche gave a snort from over by the window. Levi’s glare could rival a sharpened knife.
“Yeah?” His voice was full of daring. “Say it, Erwin.”
“...rather lively as a personality, condensed into such a pocket-sized treat!” Hange finished for him.
Levi swung his foot at them.
“But look at you now! You must’ve shot up another eight inches!” Hange cried, narrowly missing his swipe and rising to their feet. “Forget about Eren being the Hope of Humanity, the titans will be cowering in fear whilst your giant footsteps shake the ground around them!”
Both Erwin and Miche shook with laughter. Even Eren managed a weak smile. Levi removed his arm from the sofa and crossed his arms firmly over his lap.
“Shut it, Four Eyes…” Her turned his head away so that his companions could not see the pale flush which dusted his cheeks.
