That wip poll I posted has Pride and Prejudice in the lead currently and I can't help imagining Saraiya Goyou in the P&P story (as you do lol.) Like, their personalities (and genders tbh) would make it an entirely different narrative, but imagine: the Akitsu siblings as The Bingley siblings and mr Darcy and the Five Leaves as the Bennets hehe.

I'm picturing them at a ball:

Masa and mr Darcy are actually pretty similar. He would still be called miserable, he wouldn't dance or talk to people;

Bun as mr Bingley would dance and chat because it's the proper thing to do, not because it's fun and no one will really like doing either with him;

Sachi as ms Bingley; the arrogance is far less convincing, because she keeps blushing at everyone who's petty/charming/clever

Yaichi as Elizabeth: clever and witty and most importantly definitely, makes Masa Darcy squirm;

Otake as Jane: the prettiest, who doesn't show her true feelings. Much more suave though. (and she'll go for ms Bingley, thank you very much);

Matsu as Mary: as serious, but much more intimidating (no one will send him away when he's playing the piano);

Ginta and Okinu as Catherine and Lydia (only because they're young)

Ume as mr and mrs Bennet: I can tell he's wanted to tell people to be kind to his poor nerves..

I probably won't do more with this. Had it been another time I'd definitely have drawn Masa as mr Darcy but I've got too many other wips right now hehe
