Quite frankly everybody I have seen talk about this that does not actually live or has lived in the region has been a dumb callous asshole about it. Yes on 'both sides' and the first person to tell me saying that makes me either an evil zionist or a race traitor self hating jew antizionist is getting exploded with my mind. More than anything I just hope this peace lasts and that we can all realize that the vast vast majority of this discussion has been people trying to come up with a peaceful future

#I really truly think everybody except the most extreme antisemites and Kahanists (or just general ppl racist against palestians)#Wants the same thing. I really do. It's probably naive but I think the disagreement comes from lack of information #On both sides. I think Zionists underestimate the degree to which Palestians feel unsafe under the Israeli government #And I think AntiZionists underestimate the degree to which Jews feel unsafe under any government where we are the minority #Both of those beliefs are rooted in very real historical oppression... Idk I don't want to sound like a hippie but do we not all just want #Like we all just want the exile to end and to never lose our homes and be killed in the street again #I do lean antizionist because well. I find it disgusting that our people could ever kick another group #Out of their homes. Could ever make them into second class citizens.#I can't tell you how we could've achieved some of the legitimately good things the Israeli state has achieved #Without that suffering. But I can tell you I so badly wish the suffering had never happened #And I think the Israeli government absolutely owes it to Palestians to try to repair the damage #But. Frankly most antizionists I talk to are fucking stupid. And their opinions range from the same as me to #Completely off the wall insane propsitions. So I can't say I 100% fit into either movement.#I wanted a ceasefire. We got one. Frankly I don't think either side really did much to achieve that.
