I've been doing nothing but liveblogging about my writing for months without being able to post anything complete, but just shy of hitting 20k words in my draft document, I've got a hankering to share some of it and want to post a little teaser/excerpt or two!
For anyone who's missed it, I'm writing a queer feedist story about two kinky bassist punks living in LA in 1979, when the hardcore punk scene is first taking off. I talk more about it in this post here!
I want to do something a little different though and let y'all choose what kind of teaser you'd like to see! So:

I tried watching K... The anime, also called Project K, emphasis on tried(i e. I got to episode 3)and I have... Thoughts ™
I remember when K first aired , I'd tried watching it on TV and the only thing I felt was "red and blue lights", and stopped after say 15 minutes
It's been so many years,I thought I'd give it another go
The verdict: Red and Blue lights
In all seriousness though, I can see the show's appeal. To be honest I would've continued,I watched 3 episodes, nothing wrong with the plot and storytelling so far, and if it was any other anime I'd definitely continue. But ....I never thought a colour palette and BGM could force me to drop a show
Why is everything so blue? Why is the contrast so high?(I got used to it eventually, not happy but bearing somehow) and why is there fluorescent pink and red "fire" and lights so much??(side note: we can see a busty character's boobs, like BOTH ,in the profile view...how the heck does that work...)
And more importantly...
What is with this background music 🥲. The tracks are great on their own. No doubt they'd make great in very epic or emotional scenes. But. You don't have to have epic and emotional music playing throughout the entire thing, you don't need that shile walking to run errands or eating lunch or street fights in the very first episode, know that right? It's just..so hard to watch with the boss music playing continuously I'm getting distracted and confused ,the music doesn't match the evebts AT ALL, and I keep thinking "please stop already give me some quiet 😭". But they don't,I think there were 5 minutes in episode 3 without bgm, those were the most peaceful 5 minutes throughout my attempt to watch. And to my surprise,in all reviews, even the ones giving it absolutely low scores like 3 or 4 they say the sound and ost is amazing. And.... I'm sorry 🥲🥲🥲
I watched till episode 3,and I'm definitely interested in the plot. But I think I've had my fill,I feel bad for dropping it for such a silly reason, but I'm...just not enjoying it
Maybe I'll read the manga someday? We'll see.
