just a fun lil personal HC i did at 3 am. Read each's quick stories below cut!

Aight here goes, sorry for the mess

💡Gale being a netrunner on a borrowed time since his cyberware is eating himself alive. His fixer (while also being his ex-lover) offered only one solution to his demise; sacrificing his corrupted virtu to temporarily cripple the Blackwall

💡Astarion, once was a big-hit lawyer and disappeared for a decade, re-emerges as one of the left hand for a big name in politic circles. Rumor is this politician used a few trusted of his people to 'house' an important experimental cyberwear to later be taken back and improved…

💡Wyll, son of Mayor Ravengard. While father wishes for him to continue down the politics, Wyll thinks it's more of a direct help to jump down on the streets directly, thus becoming an Edgerunner. Rumor has it he had dealings with people within Militech that granted him techs

💡Shadowheart, One of Arasaka's top agent. Her, being under Arasaka's teachings and guidance has little to none care for her selfish needs--that is until she was disconnected from their mainframe. Tasting the freedom and truth of her past, SH wanted to uncover all of it

💡Laezel was trained, Sponsored and backed by the Militech, she aimed to be the strongest living weapon of all times. Though, things didn't go smoothly once her implant was caught malfunctioned. She aim to regain control of her might, and refrains from being thrown away by the megacorp

💡Karla was a bodyguard of an NC political figure, then was betrayed and sold to a megacorp as a subject of experiment, and eventually broke out from there. The tech she gained DID enhance her abilities, but at the cost of it overheating and eventually gave her health problems

💡Mira's family had been loyal to Arasaka for decades, she had also fell into the corporation hole. Until everything fell apart, Arasaka revoked everything and her family ruined by the megacorp, she sought other ways of survival and making her own name in Night City.

And of course, my durge Ian who's probably far mor familiar to some of you in cyberpunk than in BG3..

He grunted when V elbowed him but the speed which with he dropped his irritation made her think it had been wholly manufactured. “You enjoy doing that,” she accused. His expression was guileless. “Doing what?”

She exchanged a look with Goro, biting the inside of her lip to keep from laughing at his restrained exasperation. In a fit of inspiration she mouthed the word “patience” to him, and he narrowed his eyes ever so slightly, though she was fairly certain his frown was in good humor. He turned away, hands folded together in front of him, the very picture of composure. A moment later she received the soft ping of message, which she opened to find a photo attached: the relentless aching blue of the Badlands sky.

During his corpo years, Virgile felt alone. He left his clan to survive, to have a Second Heart, now he has to work for NetWatch. And then, he met Valentin, an Arasaka agent, and they became friends, partners in crime ... and lovers. A friendship with benefits, when they can be soft, horny, sad, fun without judgment. Very cute pose to describe their relationship, commissionned by @chevvy-yates and made by talented @jpegelf ♥

The Death Of Me . 2023

After being revived successfully by Arasaka, Vân spend their time working as a special agent under Takemura's care. During this time, they met Lương - a high ranking officer of SovOil - and continues to frequently work together on collaborative missions of Arasaka and SovOil, especially around the East Asia and South East Asia countries.

However, it comes as no surprise that Vân's life as the walking advertisement of Arasaka's technological superiority is not breezy. Time and time again, she becomes the target of Arasaka's own inhumane experiments and their competitors' attempted sabotaging and kidnapping. She harbors her own escape, with the help of their powerful ally, Lương.

After one especially deadly mission, Vân ends up with a critical injury which has caused Lương to rush the plan forward for fear of her life. This incident is a wake up call for both Lương and Goro of the corporat shackle, albeit much more so for her fellow Vietnamese colleague who comes from a rich dynasty than her Japanese lover who was a Chiba-11 slum kid that is still under the debt of Arasaka.

Lương and Vân ran away together as soon as they are back on their feet, leaving the still hesitating Takemura behind. He has had his doubts ever since 2077 when he first met Vân, and they only grow stronger as he witness her sufferings in Mikoshi and during the years they work together afterwards. But it is still not enough for him to abandon his so-called duty and convictions, something about "cannot teach an old dog new tricks".

That is, until Arasaka decided to "revive" another Vân-borg but very altered this time to better suit their needs. They have the same smile, same posture. They calls him exactly they way Vân likes to coos into his ears on the rare mornings when Vân wakes up earlier than him. But something is wrong behind those eyes. Goro watches as a ghost occupying the shell of whom his heart belongs to being paraded around by Arasaka like a twisted puppet. He finally decided that this old dog needs to teach himself new tricks.

But, is it too late?

Note1 : Did I just retconed my own hc of my characters? Yes. Have I ever introduced publicly those hc? Nope. Do I actually have an idea on how things are gonna turn out after thing? I dont. Bite me lmao.

Note2: I wanna play with the idea of Death, Life, and Love. Which one is Death in this comic? Goro or Lương? As well as when is Death ends and Life begins, because after the beginning a new life post-Mikoshi, she is on the verge of death many times other than this incident.

Goro and Vân are the love of each other's lives, but she loves Lương as well in her own ways. Lương loves her too despite him not really recognizing it and it not being the same thing as hers. Are these loves romantic, sexual, platonic, or whatever else?

Sorry haha the brainrot is just INTENSE today so i scribbled all of this down in just a few hours, idk if everything makes sense.

New Job: Don't Let Me Get Me

Part 2 of the aforementioned little VP project of "What kind of NPC would Vince be in CP2077?"

In this scenario he's still working for Araska, even if during the first meeting with him right after completing "Monster Hunt" it isn't as obvious (unless the player notices his Kenshin tech-pistol, *the* staple handgun of any decent Arasaka agent XD).

I had a hard time figuring out where this encounter might take place, but then decided for Jotaro's club - it's a huge location, and the player would get in Vince's way of retrieving some client data from one of Jotaro's personal computers (that they can discover via a questmarker or maybe after Johnny points them to it, something like that).

Vince will not disclose what he needs the data for, but a Streetkid!Player will recognize he's not your typical gang member, more purposefully trying to look like one while also remaining outwardly unremarkable. If the player decides to give him the data anyway he will never be seen again and the quest is complete xD

Otherwise, if the player decides to fight him or otherwise doesn't wanna hand over the data, Vince will deescalate the situation and disappear - but promise that this will have consequences. After a few ingame days have passed, the player will receive a message from a normal contact - a fixer, or one of their friends, about meeting them at/travelling to a Northside location for an important clue or a profitable opportunity (might be dependant on dialogues chosen during the first encounter with Vince!).

When the player gets there though, they're instantly incapacitated as their cyberware gets hacked (imagine a milder version of system shutdown - they're still conscious but not really able to move or do much).

Enter, Vince in his true colors XD He still wants the data the player stole from Jotaro, or at least know what they did with it so he can somehow track the information down that he needs. Again, the player can be cooperative or not, but Vince can be quite threatening and may confront the player about the Biochip in their head and how much money his employer would pay him for returning it. At some point during the convo though it becomes apparent that Vince is acting completely on his own - he's here with a random motorcycle, there's no backup, etc.

Vince will confess that he's planning his exit from Arasaka in the near future and wants to gather as much incriminating intel on his superiors and colleagues as possible to ruin their lives even worse than they ruined his. It's up to the player whether or not they believe him that xD Either or, in some way or another, Vince will have the information he wants by the end of the convo and the player is free to go.

If they've been cooperative or otherwise understanding, a male player can try to flirt with him, because why the hell not xD I think Vince would be down for a one-night-stand in the way it's possible with Meredith and Rogue (maybe right there on that bike, who knows 👀)

Either or, he will eventually leave, the quest will complete, and if the player helped or was otherwise cooperative, they may receive an update from an unknown number some time down the line thanking them for the help in starting over once more.

This was seriously so much fun to think about, can highly recommend putting your blorbos into even more situations as an NPC like this :D I might make this conversation layout as a little "for general use" template somewhere down the line, cause I'd love to see some of your characters and how they would be like as NPCs!
