Industry visit to Hero Motocorp Ltd-Dharuhera,Distt. Rewari(Haryana)

On the 21st of Jan’23, the students of BBA got an opportunity to visit the Hero Motocorp plant at Dharuhera . The company is one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in the world and continues to maintain that status since its inception in 1984. The mother plant located at Dharuhera employs 6,500 employees who work 16 hours to roll out a motorbike every 18 seconds ; totalling approximately 7000 bikes in a day from three of  their high tech assembly lines, it is one of the most well-equipped and structured plants in India.  

A presentation by a company official beginning from the company’s inception to the setting up of 6 manufacturing plants ,exports and finally to being a market leader in India did a good job of making the students aware of an organization that was the brainchild of Brijmohan Lall Munjal and Indian entrepreneur and the founder of Hero Group. This was followed by a visit to the shop floor- where hundreds of dedicated men and women were engaged in churning out this most sought after means of transportation – the motorbike.

A great experience, all in all, for the students who got to see the expertise and hard work that went behind manufacturing this wonder vehicle that most people used without paying any heed to the hands that produced it.
