Mistigram: It's AdeptApril's turn to urge us to #RememberRememberTheFifthOfNovember for #GuyFawkesDay, with an #ANSIart arrangement of his mask, as widely seen in the 2005 film adaptation of Adam Moore's #VForVendetta comic (where this specific design was the handiwork of illustrator David Lloyd) ... or every day, for members of #Anonymous.

Mistigram: this Spring has already been a pretty magical season, what with the appearance of the Easter eggs, Christ's resurrection and that business with the eclipse, and capping it all off, today is National #Unicorn Day! This #ANSIart screen celebrating the occasion was drawn by AdeptApril for Storm BBS.

Mistigram: AdeptApril joins us in celebrating (with #ANSIart) a cool Italian treat today, which apparently is National #Spumoni Day! You too can enjoy a cold serving of the molded multi-flavour gelato dish, which deliciously is related etymologically to the word "spew".

Mistigram: 232 years ago on this date #MaryShelley was born, daughter of feminist Mary Wollstonecraft and anarchist William Godwin. One night she invented both horror and science fiction by writing #Frankenstein in order to escape the unbearable tedium of being shut up in a holiday cabin with Lord Byron in the summer of 1816. This #ANSIart celebration of her creation was drawn by AdeptApril.

Mistigram: OK, enough moping over the war dead -- now it's time to celebrate Fancy Rat and Mouse Day! Just imagine these darling rodents scampering through the trenches in Ypres. This #ANSIart screen was drawn by AdeptApril.

Mistigram: today AdeptApril uses #ANSIart to draw our attention to #ArmisticeDay, marking the ending of WWI on this date with an image of a #poppy, such as can be found in great abundance #InFlandersFields.

Mistigram: AdeptApril has drawn a stylized #ANSIart #telephone handset today in order to metaphorically convey that today is #AreaCode Day! Back when we were confined to the use of landlines and local calling plans, when telecommunications were conducted through #dialup connections over phone lines, the boundaries of these invisible territories demarcated specific manifestations of cyberspace that were beyond our reach. We make a big deal about having been established and rooted in area code #604 -- describing the province of British Columbia in Canada -- and coincidentally just a couple of days ago we wrote an extensive gloss of our home area code on a wiki we recently established, over at https://github.com/NicheInterests/mistfunk/wiki/area-code-604 , since entries pertaining to our corner of cyberspace are slowly but surely finding themselves purged from Wikipedia. Mistigram: it seems that back in 2020 (!), when AdeptApril's #ANSIart calendar illustrations were being drawn, November the 6th fell on the first Friday in November -- on which occasion is celebrated #FountainPen Day. This year November's first Friday would have been on Nov 1st, but this is the screen we have to share so you just have to do a little time travelling with us ... but you can handwrite about it in elegant calligraphy in your time travel journal afterwards!

Mistigram: AdeptApril has illustrated the distinctive design of the #Singer hand #SewingMachine in #ANSIart in observance of Sewing Machine Day today. Everyone who wears clothes and is too impatient to make their own with needle and thread should be celebrating!

Mistigram: today we raise our hands in salute to the southpaws of the world. There's nothing gauche or sinister about this #ANSIart screen by AdeptApril -- we're just celebrating International Left-Handers Day.

Mistigram: things seem to be coming into alignment -- not only are AdeptApril's #ANSIart screens pertinent to daily occasions, but even to the overall season. Apparently today is National #CandyCorn Day! Why today? My guess is that those about to distribute it tomorrow night have begun sampling it for quality assurance purposes.
