Sorry, I have been out of action because of two back to back retinal surgeries and slow to heal... This is an old shot from the days of lockdown to celebrate World Guitar Day... it's me and my Collings I-35 Deluxe playing at a respectable social distance from the not pictured Grant, an all time great friend of mine in Iowa. The I-35 is one of the most meticulously manufactured electric guitars ever made, designed by the great Bill Collings when he was alive. Unlike the classic Gibson ES-335 which was made of laminated wood, the Collings is a chambered semi-hollow body carved from solid Honduran Mahogany, which gives the guitar a lovely resonant tone, with centuries long sustain. Since I am essentially an acoustic guitarist, the I-35 appeals to me because of the lovely clean tones that it yields... if you're looking for heavy metal distortion, move along... nothing to see here... when I bought this guitar at Dave's in LaCrosse, WI you practically needed a mortgage to acquire it, but I softened the blow by trading in two very nice and not often seen Taylor electrics and getting a rare Dave's discount! This guitar will go to one of my kids one day, though I don't know if any of them would really understand what they're holding...

Anechoic Chamber: The Ultimate Soundproof Testing Environment
An anechoic chamber is a specialist room designed to absorb sound waves and eliminate echoes, creating an environment totally free from noise. Such chambers are meant for precise acoustic testing, research, and product development, ensuring that no external noises interfere with the results. The walls, ceiling, and floor are lined with sound-absorbing wedges made from foam or fiberglass, which prevent sound reflections, making anechoic chambers especially suited for testing microphones, speakers, hearing aids, and even parts that go into airplanes.
Anechoic chambers work to eliminate sound reflections against the sound from outside that create a 'not quieter' environment. Such thick acoustic materials absorb excessive sound energy, breaking the circular sound propagation back into the room. Vibration isolation for blocking external mechanical noise; they are some of the quietest environments to test in.
These chambers are used throughout the electronics, automotive, aerospace, and telecommunications industries for measuring noise levels, assessing noise emissions, and testing sound-sensitive equipment.
Envirotech System Ltd specializes in the design and manufacture of high-performance anechoic chambers for wind tunnel and other related applications, making noise isolation at its best, high-quality construction, and tight realistic acoustic control for reproducibility in testing.

Understanding Semi Anechoic Chambers: An Essential Guide by Envirotech Systems Ltd
These are the necessary facts: precise testing of the audio apparatus; electronic devices; and machinery, with this especially critical aspect of testing when a product is designed to ensure product reliability and performance. One such significant tool is the Semi Anechoic Chamber. We at Envirotech Systems Ltd are one of the world's leading manufacturers of Semi Anechoic Chamber.
In this blog, we will study what Semi Anechoic Chambers do, how they function, what they provide, and why it is important to partner with an experienced Anechoic Chamber manufacturer.
What is a Semi Anechoic Chamber?
In a semi-anechoic chamber, the actual testing is performed by recreating the condition simulating free field. In addition to that, it has absorptive walls and ceilings, and a reflective ground floor, unlike a full anechoic chamber in which sound is cut off from the sides, top, and bottom, where the ground has to be simulated too for all the applications needed such as automotive, aerospace, and acoustic.
This is as it provides a controlled environment for:
Noise and vibration testing
Sound absorption and reflection measurements
EMI testing.
Key Features of Semi Anechoic Chambers
1. Acoustic Panels and Wedges
All semi anechoic spaces will have the internal walls and ceiling completely lined with sound absorbing wedges or panels made up of materials like fiberglass or foam. These structures absorb sound waves, preventing them from being reflected back, i.e. they do not create echoes in the space.
2. Reflective Floor
Semi anechoic chambers do not have semi-anechoic floors, which have a hard, reflective surface that simulates field conditions. These conditions simulate those found in testing vehicles and heavy machinery.
3. Electromagnetic Shielding
Most of the Semi Anechoic Chambers are constructed with shielding that can keep the external electromagnetic interference off to safeguard crisper results for EMI and EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing.
4. Customizable Dimensions
