My problem with wanting to buy Ace Attorney merch (besides money) is that a majority of it is from Japan and I am very attached to the English names.

Why is there some random guy’s name on a picture of Miles Edgeworth? Who are you? I do not know a “Reigi Mitsuguri.” Where is Miles Edgeworth. WHO THE FUCK IS “Ryūichi Naruhodō???”

This scene means so much to me. It adresses Phoenix's obsession over saving people, and that includes the fact that Phoenix felt responsible for saving Miles - but he's no hero, all he could do was... give Miles the 'truth'. 'You were the one who taught me how'... Miles had to leave in order to change, to save himself from what he was becoming. He wasn't Phoenix's responsability, he couldn't be. But it was thanks to the 'truth' Phoenix gifted him that Miles could find (and save) himself. I intended to add the EN version as well for comparison but tumblr doesn't like multiple videos-posts. I wanted to mention this version difference though, since Edgeworth straight-up says the following at the end:

EN 'Thank you Edgeworth. You know, I like the new you.' 'You helped me find myself, so thank you.' JP 'Mitsurugi... You've gotten stronger.' 'You were the one who taught me how.'

I was rewatching the anime with a friend and I forgot how BARREN Miles's prison room was. Like in comparison to the one he's held in in AAI2 this is so much sadder to me?

Imagine being alone knowing the person you trusted and looked up to SO MUCH is the one actively fighting to sentence you to death. The isolation Edgeworth dealt with always shakes me to my core.

Like yes he had Phoenix and Maya and Gumshoe but at least initially he tried to push them away and fully, fully believed he didn't deserve their kindness. Especially when Von Karma WANTS him to be isolated. He never fights for himself instead he just shuts down.

He deserved better.

Apparently, Phoenix liked grape juice even before the 7 year gap. I didn't notice first time I watched but it's kinda funny. Like, is it his comfort drink or what? This is during 1-4 btw.
