@astrid-lundquist
After his encounter with Divya at Absynthia a few weeks ago, Elijah had a suspicion that something was up with the younger witch, but he didn't want to confront her - gently or otherwise - until he knew for sure. It had brought him to Astrid's office in Absynthia. She had to know what was happening in her club, or at the very least she would have seen Divya more. The sound of voices inside made him pause, and he waited for a moment of quiet before knocking. "Astrid? I wanted to talk with you."

Elijah rolled his eyes, used to Divya's jabs by now about how he was old and stuffy. He hadn't told her too much about his past encounters with Matthew and Izak. "I suppose it does make sense given the connection you all have to the spirits." Though Absynthia tended to lean towards the more unsavory side of dealing with spirits and the deals they could make. "As long as this fun doesn't involve your soul or someone stealing your body. There are a lot of people who would love to get a coven leader under their thumb."
"Don't tell me you've come here to be the fun police, Elijah. Did you not see the sign out front that clearly stated no party poopers," she pouted lightly, chuckling a bit at her own words. She considered her next carefully, not wanting to raise any suspicion from her mentor. "Where's the fun in that?" she added, before realizing he probably wouldn't stop until he got an answer. "A few of my witches had been spending a lot of their time at this club. I came to keep an eye on them and see what all the fuss was about, and maybe have a little fun of my own in the process," She let her shoulder rise and fall in a shrug, before her glass of wine met her lips again.

a moment of reprieve...
After the chaos and damage, she had thought Ursa was stressed, but something must have happened at that council meeting. When he came home, he looked like he was burying anger deep in his chest. She knew the feeling, and the look. She had that kind of anger burning in her chest, the coals keeping the flame going even when happiness pushed it aside for a short time.
Now that they were officially together, he couldn't argue with her when she wanted to take him out for the evening. Astrid had it all planned out. She put on something cute, though it was not anything revealing like she might have worn during a night at Absynthia. It was cute, an outfit she'd only ever wear for him. Next, she took his hand and gave him the look that told him he could not complain and should just go with it.
After an uber ride, they arrived at the location. Mini golf. It was competitive, something they both were, but nothing they could argue about. Just enough that they could tease each other and someone would be the winner. It was also something they would normally never do, just enough to shake his thoughts and keep his mind off of the chaos in town and on them instead.
"Do you want the green ball, or the purple one?" she asked, holding the options up for him to choose from as they gathered their equipment.

ISKO DE GUZMAN
GENDER: Male
SPECIES: Vampire
AGE: 125 years old
SEXUALITY: Bisexual
OCCUPATION: Bouncer of Absynthia
DISTRICT: Klin
BACKGROUND:
Isko was born in 1900 at the turn of the century. The people might have been full of hope but Isko was a child of shame, he was born the fourth child of devout Catholic parents who didn't know how to stop having children. After fifteen, they started running out of money to feed his siblings and him. His mother died when he was thirteen and his father was quick to remarry. The woman didn't want all the children around, seeing them as a memory of his father's past.
The eldest children were sent to work. Isko got any job he could, running errands across the city or selling papers on streetcorners. It was barely enough to get by and he thought he might freeze to death in the streets. He was stopped one night by an intimdating man but he saw something in Isko and brought him under his wing.
At first it was much like his other odd jobs, he was running errands and then he began to go on collection runs. He quickly learned that it wasn't a good and kind man who had taken him in but Isko was on his good side and he did what he could to remain there. The next few years were filled with violence and blood and Isko rose through the ranks, becoming the enforcer and executioner for the crime family. At this point, they were family to him as well.
When they went to war with another family, they had no idea about supernatural creatures or their existence. The other family saw Isko as a threat and sent a vampire after him. He was bitten and turned. For the young vampire, not much had changed, he was just taken from one family and into another to be their violent executioner. He spent the first ten years as a vampire indebted to this family, killing and hunting who they wanted him to.
When he grew tired of their games and complaints, Isko killed the entire family and left the city. Since becoming a vampire, he didn't have the same desire for a family and he was able to easily rid himself of that attachment. He had heard about the city of Vievecour and decided that he wanted to move there and be around others like himself. It was a different kind of life he was used to, the supernatural community didn't have to hide and that gave Isko a sense of freedom he never had before. The vampire fell into the same habits after long but he had no affiliation this time. He was happy to be a hired hand and earn a living from his more violent tendances.
For all the crimes that Isko had committed in his life, the one he was caught and jailed for seemed so insignificant. He had grown bored and was lazy when he glamoured the wrong person's daughter. The mayor was not too impressed when he figured out his daughter had been his target. When they traced the glamour back to Isko, he was arrested. Isko was guilty and he didn't pretend that he wasn't so he was tried and then sentenced to Zamok.
Prison proved to be a worse fate than he had imagined. Instead of rehabilitating him, it merely collared and subdued the vampire. Freed two months ago, Isko is slowly adjusting to life outside prison. Twenty years of captivity haven't changed him much Zamok had served as a cage and now the vampire is free to stretch his wings once more. This time, he intends on looking like the model citizen and it was easy to fall under the radar with the new Artemis threat. He wasn't too worried, the attackers were merely a meal ticket for him, a convenient way to satisfy his bloodlust by preying on those who hunt him.
PERSONALITY: Resourceful, independent, logical, hedonistic, irresponsible
CHARACTER TYPE: Original

meeting again | astrid & caia
for: @astrid-lundquist location: absynthia
Caia was still trying to figure out how they felt about being back in Vievecor City. For one, there were those elvish ruins that she so desperately wanted to visit, on the other there was that annoying Council to deal with, but on another flip side there were people here that they had not seen in many years and it was always good to catch up.
The last message Caia had sent to Astrid had been a few years ago and it had been written on a small piece of paper, attached to the leg of a pigeon and sent to the demon. It did not contain much apart from telling Astrid that they believed she would enjoy the town of Tofo, after which Caia had ventured on to their next destination and disappeared off the radar.
She decided to surprise her demon friend that evening and turned up at her club in Hedon. Clubs were not Caia's particular brand of entertainment, but there were many things they would willingly subject themself to for a good friend and Astrid was one of them.
When pushing their way through the crowd became too tedious, Caia pulled one of the servers close and asked them to send a message to Astrid Lundquist, telling her that there was an elf looking for her. Now all Caia had to do was wait.

"I wasn't," he agreed with a grin. "My parent's forced me into it for a few years." Isko would have preferred to do anything else with his time than spend it following an old priest around. Tilting his head, he nodded. Even if their species were often at odds with each other, he had no ill intent towards her. "Cross my heart," he promised, fingers making a cross motion over his heart. He had no one to tell and no desire to hunt down someone to share trivial gossip with.
If she wasn't so standoffish, Isko might have thought she was warming up to him. "If I tell you my name, does that make us strangers still or do we become acquaintances?" he asked. The werewolf was right not to believe strangers or trust a vampire right away. "It's Isko, by the way."
He laughed when her expression changed. The vampire wasn't offended by the stereotype, it was true with a young vampire. "I get it. We do get hungry and some vampire's are insane," he agreed, shrugging his shoulders. "But yeah, that's pretty much it. People volunteer because they enjoy it or they like how it feels to them. Or, you can get a donation from a blood bank." Living in the city was convenient that way, there were ways to get food without hunting for it. "I work at Absynthia, the patrons approach me so I'm well fed."
Beck raises an incredulous eyebrow at his alternative past escapade, arms folding over her chest. "You don't look like a very good altar boy, either." She comments with a shrug. Beck locks eyes with him as some unspoken conversation seems to pass between the two of them - an inferred understanding of what they both were, even if she would outwardly deny it, no matter how pointless that was. After a quick moment, she's soon to look away again, biting her lip. "Keep it to yourself." Not that she's even sure who he would tell.
His remark is oddly... kind. She blinks a little in surprise, half waiting for some insult to follow. As he holds his hands up in defense, she tries to keep a serious expression on her face - even if a subtle, amused chuckle does manage to break through. "I was always told not to believe strangers." She points out, allowing a small smirk.
Beck frowns at his question, not quite sure if it's a wise idea to reveal to the vampire how little she knew about said vampires. "Of course not." She's quick to snap the answer out, holding her head up high in an attempt to emphasise her certainty. Then, after a pause, she shrugs a shoulder, looking away as she tries to hide the subtle embarassment at her ignorance. "I mean... maybe, yeah." She observes him closely, rubbing her arms against the cold of the night. "I never really had to think about it, until recently. You just... feed on humans, when you need to?" The question is genuine, no judgement in her voice.

The fallen deity had no intention of corrupting the young woman. He would not lie about the world, the gaps between the light and dark. For the fallen, it was harder than the other demon's. He couldn't quite give into those demonic desires, still holding onto a lingering feeling of guilt. Ursa could live with his own shortcomings but he was still guilty for what Astrid had become.
His lips twisted into a slight smile, unsure how to accept an apology for what had been done. It was not her fault and he would not allow her to shoulder that blame. "It is okay. Just as I must have been created for a reason, I must have fallen for one too." Some day it may become clear or he might just be there to watch it all crumble.
The demon realised how old it made him sound but there was no hiding what he was. "I believe they enjoy Absynthia. Personally it's a little too loud and there's one too many human's with a priest kink," he answered. Astrid enjoyed his presence there but the attention it bought him always made the demon uncomfortable. From the look in the young deity's eyes, she was curious about his protege. "She's quite tall with dark brown hair and eyes. She looks like an angel from far away," he described, giving her a little hint.
"I don't know." She didn't. Would it help? It wasn't going to change what the deities had done, was it? How could they have been so wrong? Yes, yes, butterfly effect and all that but he hadn't even meant to bring the girl back to life so she might stay that way. Was this how they planned to restore the balance between light and dark? By turning everyone and everything against them? Was it not enough that deities who broke the rules not only lost their powers but turned into the very opposite of what they had once been?
Elena's temper settled somewhat as the priest continued his tale, leaving behind a feeling of rot and decay at her core. "I'm sorry," she told him, the 'on behalf of all of us' unsaid, though very much implied. She didn't have that kind of authority but someone needed to say it.
It was the mention of a club that managed to lure her more animated nature out from where it had disappeared to. "The club that the kids like?" Elena parroted with a curious lilt to her tone. Surely to him, she was a kid. So what was this club that was supposedly all the rave these days? She'd have to swing by some time to meet the girl who had unwillingly helped to pave the way to his fall. Perhaps apologize to her as well.

@exitstageentropy // starter.
lala had a knack of encountering strange people - her best friend, keith, was the first of many who bequeathed the fascination of those out of the ordinary. though, she shouldn’t say this as she was an avid doll collector of antiquated mannequins and other seedy shop collected knickknacks. if one were to enter her room, they’d think they would have entered a witch’s cove and feel like a curse was creeping down their backs.
but that wasn’t what she intended at all when decorating her space. lala was just drawn to the otherworldly at times and at the sight of this strange occult store, her feet just took her there. Oculi Omnium. her father and mother would be baffled and dismayed with her desire to enter the bizarre store, but she’d never tell them. and so, she entered, eyeing the merchandise but her attention was captivated by a woman shorter than her but with a flamboyant style, so to say.
tilting her head, lala, with her honest breath, spoke aloud, “ah, you’re very beautiful, miss.”
#exitstageentrophy#ic. lala#i hope this makes sense!#absynthia is really pretty and i feel like lala would like her aesthetic a lot too#though i didn't know where to look for info on oculi omnium#i'm sorry if i got anything wrong!

Kang’s Videos
Being a dancer in the Rubicund and from his phase of going to every club in Vievecor City, Kang has many videos of the inside of supernatural-owned clubs such as the Rubicund, Level Four, The Mind’s Eye, Vicium and Absynthia.
In these videos, supernaturals can clearly be seen partying the nights away, especially the ones in Level Four and Vicium. They do not bother hiding what they are in these videos, so vampires can be seen feeding on humans in Level Four and demons, werewolves and anyone else visiting the Vicium can also be incriminated.
Kang has mostly forgotten that these videos exist on his camera roll because they go many months back.

Artus’s hacked files
Emails. Several dozen emails between him and other council members and well as other elves in their clan. These details several things, such as concerns, security measures, event planning, and so on. Event posters. Digital event posters are saved on his phone for various supernatural events he’s sponsored, such as in the theatre, or gone to, such as at Absynthia, Vicium or Level Four. There are also photos he has taken at the event of others and himself participating. Contacts. Saved in his contacts are the names of sexual partners he has had, and included in the notes are their species, their kinks and the things Artus enjoys doing with them, though the notes themselves are short and straightforward. One of these contacts include Izak, those his particular contact does not indicate species, though mentions “control” and “blood” in the note. Texts from Adaire. Though most texts are short and sweet or innocent and family related, there are several messages of them discussing potential elven partners for him, with Adaire mentioning his son starting a family a few times, and that elves can only have children with other elves once.

"I wanted to know what you were doing at Absynthia, if you were just there to get drunk like everyone else or looking for something stronger." He snagged some cheese for himself and sat up a bit straighter. "I'm worried for you, Div. When we ran into each other the last time your eyes looked like you had taken something." He fell silent, keeping his face carefully non-judgmental as he looked at her, wanting to see what her reaction would be.
Divya let out an incredulous chuckle, "Sure, darling. Whatever you say," she mused with another bite of cheese. "I'm only teasing, of course. I highly doubt many people could pull off what you do for your coven," she added before sipping her wine. "If you tell anyone I said that I'll kill you myself." Divya considered the elder witch's words, tilting her head slightly, "If they know what's good for them they'll figure out this whole blood shortage mess before we get involved." Her eyes met Elijah's at the mention of Astrid, "And just what information were you hoping to get from her?"
