He figured something was off about Eden, could sense it when his eyes instantly landed upon her from a distance, but the question was why? "What exactly have you been doing for her?"

─「エデン」─  when his voice broke the silence between them, the TRAILBLAZER immediately had her eyes turned towards him. every single syllable, despite sounding casual, was well-crafted and carefully thought-out. AUREATE optics observed him, realizing that the sensation of the time she caught the aeon's gaze started to grow back whenever his eyes were on her. the molten gold that felt like they would consume everything in his path and wouldn't let anything out of his sight.

                " a body that could house the stellaron isn't something she had seen before. " despite her answer, her line of vision was not lifted from him. her gaze was fixated, drawn, as she watched him and followed his thinking process. it wasn't like other researchers weren't curious about the genius society member's interests in her, however, most of them chalked it under her recently given REASON, the seed of disaster inside of her.

                that wouldn't fool this one, would it ? even EDEN knew that. if he had chosen to address it out loud, that means he had given ample of time to consider it. she'd be daft to think he would buy such EXCUSE. so how much did he know ?

                " how much do you see with those eyes of yours, ozymandias ? " the TRAILBLAZER posed the question back to him. a humble researcher he had presented himself to be, yet, his vision had pierced through things others could not see. the truth about the SIMULATED UNIVERSE wasn't something she had the rights to disclose without herta's permission. eden realized, though, that she hadn't answered his question yet.

                " i'd prefer not having to lie to you, if i could help it. " she could have done so easily, of course, make up something to cover the truth. for some odd reasons, she didn't like the idea of making half-assed excuses to someone like him. what was it about HIM that made her so honest ? eden wasn't sure. she straightened her back, gold meeting gold.

                " so what is it that you are searching for ? " it was a genuine question. no hint of aggression, nor accusation. just as he had come to ask her personally, she felt he deserved the same courtesy. " if you tell me your truth, i'll tell you mine. " herta wouldn't be pleased, but equivalent exchange was just and fair, wasn't it ? he would understand.
