we turn the page to a new chapter | @metrictita gets a one-liner!

" why does it feel like i'm getting run through? " her heated voice wavers, revealing an old hurt as nari's expression starts to crumble; she won't face mali, though, heart racing and stomach twisting while she keeps her jacket in a death grip. " and why is it just me? he just--- he stands there all stony-faced like it doesn't mean anything. nothing i do, that i've done. " her forehead lands against the apartment's door with a dull thump. " i don't understand, mali. doesn't my dad miss me as much as i miss him? "

what’s the new info on the updated mail storyline? i heard we have more details about it!!
Spoilers for the summer update and the updated questlines in Wizard City.
I have as much information as you probably do, but here's what I've got right now:
From what I've watched/seen so far (reminder here that I don't actually have the game, so I can't check this stuff for myself), there's more details and worldbuilding about Malistaire's place in society. Most of these were taken from faeriequeens's stream of the new streets. In this update . . .
Not only did Malistaire "blow up" the Death school as opposed to broke it off, a lot of people in Wizard City also think he killed himself while he was at it. He was and still is pretty disliked.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Malistaire also once sealed all the ghosts and undead creatures in the Dark Cave "back in the day." Only to, you know, have them all unleashed.
Tumblr media
And-this one breaks my heart the most so far-Cyrus is extremely indifferent about his brother's situation. This is what he says when you suggest he's responsible for all the problems on Cyclops Lane:
Tumblr media
"I heard you met him."
Lastly, here's a spoiler that nobody on YouTube has gotten to yet. Taken from wizzy Twitter.
Tumblr media
If I had to guess, Mali's appearance in Nightside basically implies that his quest to find the Krokonomicon is actively occuring while the Wizard is in Wizard City. That might have already been implied in the old quest lines, but in general, the dialogue and interactions in the update make the entire situation feel much more urgent.
You really do feel like you're racing against him to thwart his plans, which in my opinion is a big improvement. In the past, you would first see him all the way in Marleybone, which was an issue story-telling wise.
I don't think there are any real, BIG changes to what Malistaire does in Arc 1. I think the main purpose of this update is to improve the flow of the story as a whole, flesh out the universe, and just make Wizard City, you know, make more sense in terms of plot. The writing, the flow of events, and the connections between the events of Wizard City to the rest of Malistaire’s plans is way, way tighter.
So far, there's been a lot of efforts made to make Malistaire a more prominent threat, and establish him as a character, not just some abstract figure you don't really get to know until the middle of Arc 1. I'll keep updating as I get more information!

Home girl you’re gonna have to give us a part two 👀💕
Hi. 😊 So, you were the first one to ask me to do a part 2. I have like 17 other asks to do it, but I’m posting it on your ask because you were the first one. THIS BAD BOY IS LONG, like I probably could’ve made this a three part thing, but because I have sucked SO BAD at posting this week, imma just give it to you all at once. I genuinely hope the wait, and the read, were worth it. I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH. 😊😊😊😊😊 (the computer I’m on is so out of date that the smiley face emoji is the only one it knows.)
Here is part 1 for you lovelies ❤️
Calum pulled up in front of Ashton’s house and shut the car off. He leaned his head back and shut his eyes. He swallowed hard trying to keep his heart from shattering into a million pieces. Never in his entire life would he ever think to be unfaithful in a relationship, especially not this one. She is the love his life, the mother of his children. She has given him more than he could ever ask for. The tears started to build behind his eyelids as he lifted it and grabbed his bag from the passenger seat.
By the time he got to the door Ashton was already opening the door. Calum didn’t have the guts or the words to call Ashton to tell him he was on his way over to his house. Ashton’s eyebrows were pulled together and his mouth hung open with concern. “I heard your car, what’s going on?” Ashton saw the bag on Calum’s shoulder and knew whatever it was, it wasn’t good.
Calum pushed past Ashton, not looking him in the eyes, and only mumbled a cold “Nothing.” Calum kept walking through the house until he reached the guest bedroom that he had stayed in so many times before. He left the door open as he threw the bag in the bed and sat down next to it, his hands covering his face. Ashton appeared in the doorway and Calum shook his head, “We just need a few nights apart. I’ll only be here at night, that way I can still take care of Aiden and Logan.” Calum ran his hand across the back of his neck and sighed.
Ashton made his way into the room and sat down on the bed next to Calum. “It’s about those pictures, isn’t it?” Ashton asked while rubbing his hands together, avoiding all eye contact with Calum. Ashton has seen the pictures earlier in the day, to which he immediately told Calum about. Calum had gone home to talk to her about them, thinking she was going to understand and brush it off. That’s the type of person she usually is, never in their entire relationship has she been jealous.
Calum lowered his head as the tears started to flow again. He rolled his fingers into a fiat tight enough that some of his knuckles cracked. His head snapped up and he looked at Ashton, “I didn’t even know who she was, they just stuck her on me and started taking pictures.” Calum looked into Ashton’s eyes. Ashton was dead serious, barely any expression in his face. It’s how he looked when he saw his best friend falling apart at the seams. He had to be strong enough to keep Calum in one piece.
Ashton nodded and raised his eyebrows, “I know that, and you know that, and so does a lot of people who were around us. She wasn’t there, those people see you out without your wife and kids and fucking run with it.” Ashton looked at Calum. His head hung, his hands clasped together. A tear fell off his cheek and fell to the ground. His head bounced as he nodded at what Ashton was saying.
After a full minute of silence, Calum finally cleared his throat and found the words that had been burning inside his mind, “She told me I was lying to her,” he cringed remembering what she had said. “She said that I don’t find her attractive anymore and that I’m lying when I tell her I’ve never even thought about touching someone other than her.” Calum shrugged and looked over at Ashton, no words able to come out.
Ashton wrapped a single arm around Calum’s shoulders. “She was upset, you were upset. You two were made for each other, it why you have two beautiful kids together. Everything will be fine, stay here a few nights until you’re ready to go and talk to her and sort things out.” Calum nodded and Ashton patted his shoulders before pushing himself off the bed and leaving the room. Calum laid back on the bed and shut his eyes, unable to think about anything other than the woman at home sleeping by herself.
During the day, Calum would leave Ashton’s house to get home just in time to help get Aiden ready for school. He continued to put on a show like everything was fine, but the second she left to take Aiden to school, he would leave too, unless it was a day she had to work. If she had to work, he would stay and lock himself in his studio until the neighbor dropped Aiden off. They had an agreement with the neighbor to pick up Aiden after school two days a week. He would cater to his and Logan’s every need until they went to bed. Once they were in bed, he would leave without saying a word.
Calum woke up after the fourth night of staying at Ashton’s. His chest hurt today, he pressed his palm to his chest and cringed. He brushed it off and got out of bed and walked into the bathroom. After a quick shower, he headed home to help get Aiden and Logan ready for the day. The house was quiet, which meant he was early enough that the boys were still asleep. Calum sifted through the refrigerator to find things to make and pack into Aiden’s lunch. Logan’s day care always provided him with snacks until Mali-Koa picked him up in the afternoon.
Once Aiden’s lunch was packed, Calum ran a hand through his hair and made his way down the hallway to the boys’ bedroom. He gently roused the two sleeping boys and helped them start getting ready. For the corner of his eye, he watched her pass down the hallway. She moved as if she were a ghost. Calum pulled his eyes brows together and took a step towards the doorway, but a small voice stopped him, “Dad?” Calum stopped and turned toward Aiden. “Why has mom been so upset lately? Did something happen to make her so sad?” Aiden nervously toyed with his fingers.
Calum narrowed his eyebrows and tilted his head. He closed the space him and his son and squatted so he was at eye level with him. “What do you mean?” Calum reaches his hands up and ran them up and down Aiden’s little arms.
Aiden’s eyes became glossy as he looked into Calum’s eyes. Before speaking, he looks down at his hands and took a deep breath, “For the past two nights, after you and mom put us to bed, and you guys go into your room, I can hear mom start crying. She cries for a while before it is quiet again.” Aiden shrugged and looked into Calum’s eyes. “I just though since you and mom share a room, you would know what was wrong.”
Calum’s heart shattered into a million pieces. His chest started to burn so he stood up and put his hand over his chest. Aiden watched every movement Calum made. Before Calum gave away the shoe they had been putting on the past three days, he found the words, “It’s adult stuff, you’ll understand when you’re older. You just need to give mom some extra love right now, okay?” Aiden nodded and looked down at his hands. Calum ran his hand through Aiden’s hair and sighed, “Now go get dressed or you’re going to be late.” Aiden turned toward his closet to grab some clothes and Calum turned toward the empty hallway, still clutching his chest, which felt like it was caving in.
The house was silent, after she had taken Aiden to school, and Logan to daycare, Calum locked himself in his studio. It was nice to work in the silence, but it was also horrible because there was nothing to distract him from thinking about everything that’s happened. Calum closed his eyes and dropped his pen onto his notepad, the thoughts running around his head again. He used his thumb and pointer finger to rub his eyes. Just as he dropped his hand from his face, his phone vibrated. He picked it up, seeing a message from the neighbor, sent to both him and his wife. “I’m so sorry this is short notice, but I’m stuck at work and won’t be able to pick Aiden up. I’m sorry!” Calum waited for a few moments to see if she would respond. When she didn’t, he dropped everything and grabbed his keys to head to the school.
Calum arrived at the school a few minutes before school actually let out. He decided to head into the school and meet him outside the classroom. He walked with one hand in his pocket and the other running across his lips. The last time he smile a cigarette was right after they got together, but right now seemed like a great time to have one. Calum dropped his hand from his lips and shoved it into his pocket and looked up. As he looked up he noticed her car, and she was still sitting inside of it. Calum pulled his phone from his pocket to make sure he hadn’t missed a text from her saying she would pick him up. When he saw he hadn’t, he placed his phone back in his pocket and looked over at her car again.
Both of her hands were clutching the steering wheel. Her arms were locked straight and her head and leaning back. As she lifted her head and leaned forward, she buckled as if she were punched in the gut. A closer look told Calum she was crying, and crying hysterically. The sight made him feel like his chest had finally caved, he had never seen her cry like that, and it was all because of him. He took two steps closer to her car but remembered he needed to be outside the classroom when school got out so Aiden wouldn’t run around looking for the neighbor. As he continued to walk into the school, he replied to the neighbor’s message, “thanks for letting us know, I’m waiting outside his classroom right now.” As Calum waited for Aiden to get out of class he sent Mali-Koa a message, asking her to keep Logan for the night, and then sent one single message to his wife, “I’m going to drop Aiden off at Ashton’s, meet me at home.”
That’s exactly what Calum did, he drove Aiden to Ashton’s house and while Ashton was entertaining Aiden, Calum packed up his bag. Calum promised Aiden he would come back for him in the morning and then left. As Calum drove the few minutes home, he thought about what he wanted to say. He couldn’t decide if he was angry, or if he just wanted to pretend none of this happened. Would he even be able to be upset since she’s the one who is upset with him? All Calum knew was that he wanted to be able to sleep next to her again, hold her against him again, kiss her again. Just as he rounded the corner to the house, he sighed and ran his hand across his forehead. Her car was in the driveway and it made his stomach drop.
The house was eerily quiet; the silence made Calum’s hands tremble as he shut the door and looked around the house. There was a noise that resembled a sniffle from the kitchen. Calum slowly made his way through the house and into the kitchen. She was sitting at the table, a cup of tea between her hands. Her head hung slightly as she stared at the liquid in her cup, which was incredibly still. Calum figures she didn’t hear him come in when she didn’t turn to face him, but he was proven wrong when she suddenly asked, “Is Logan with your sister?” Her voice was dull and low, weak from the amount she has cried the past few days. It absolutely broke Calum’s heart.
Calum took a deep breath, “Yeah, I asked her to keep him for the night. Ashton is going to keep Aiden for the night too.” Calum made his way around to the other side of the table so he could sit across from her. She didn’t look at him until he was fully seated. Her eyes were glazed over, there was barely any shine to them. Her face was pale and her hair had lost most of its sheen. Calum’s breath hitched in his chest and he swallowed before looking away from her.
She nodded and tapped the edge of her cup with her thumbs. “Are you going to go back to Ashton’s tonight?” Calum looked at her again and pulled his eyebrows together. He never told her where he was staying. She rolled her eyes and looked out the window. “He’s your best friend. He’s the first person you run to with good or bad news. I just figured that’s where you went. I didn’t follow you or anything.”
She continued to stare out the window as Calum sat up and cleared his throat. “I’m not going back to Ashton’s tonight.” That caused her to look at him again, and he swallowed the lump in his throat. “I want to fight, I want to talk this out. I’d rather fight with you every single day for the rest of my life than be away from you for one more night.” That’s not what he expected he was going to say, but it was the truth.
Her face was expressionless, she barely even blinked. “Where do you want to start then?” She said while raising a single eyebrow, the rest of her body remaining still.
Calum leaned forward and rested his elbows on the table. He clasped his hand together and nervously bounced his leg. “Why would you ever think I’d be unfaithful to you?” When he looked into her eyes, the tears were already forming, as if she knew that was the question he was going to ask first.
“You don’t look at me the way you used to.” She replied immediately. Her eyes dropped to her hands again and she raised her eyebrows in an attempt to stop the tears from falling. “You used to look at me as if I were the only living thing on the planet. I used to feel like even across the room that I was the only person you could see.” She used her pointer finger to wipe away a tear that had fallen. “Recently,” she shrugged and shook her head then looked up at Calum. “I feel like I’m just this blur every time you look at me. Granted, I haven’t been as confident as I usually am, but I guess that’s what happens after you have two kids.” The look on Calum’s face told her that he was at a loss for words, so she took the opportunity to continue, “When I saw those pictures, the insecurities that have been festering in my head exploded. She’s prettier and younger than I am, and probably hasn’t had two kids making every single part of her body look different.”
Calum finally found some words and managed to spit out, “But nothing happened. I don’t even know who she is.” He tried to keep going, but the words got caught behind the tightness in his chest. He sat back in his chair feeling defeated.
She nodded and looked down at her tea, “I know.” She swallowed feeling the sudden tension between her and Calum. “Sierra called me after you had left that first night. She told me she was standing by the guy who told her to touch you so he could sell the pictures and get money.” She shook her head and felt the tears start burning as they rolled down her cheek, “After that I wasn’t upset that it happened, I was upset that despite those pictures, this fight was bound to happen one way or another.” She leaned forward and narrowed her eyebrows, “Despite those pictures, I still don’t feel like I mean anything to you anymore, and that you’re not attracted to me anymore, and that you only stay here because of Aiden and Logan.” Calum swallowed, a horribly thick silence falling between them.
Her heart was beating hard enough that she could swear he could hear it. Her stomach twisted with nerves, waiting impatiently for him to say what he needs to say. Suddenly, he pushes his chair back, causing a squeal that makes her jump and scoot back herself. Calum rounds the table and kneels next to her, putting his hands on her knees and looking into her eyes. “I stay because you are the love of my life, I stay because you are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever laid my eyes on, I stay because you’re my best friend, I stay because I don’t see this life with anyone else, I stay because I fucking love you. I stay because I never plan on leaving, ever.” Her breathing becomes labored as he squeezed her knees in a unsuccessful effort to calm her down. “Do you still love me?”
That’s when she broke. The tears busted through her eyes and the son escaped her chest. Through the hysterical crying, she nodded hard enough to ensure Calum would know that she would never stop loving him. Calum reaches up and grabbed her face, wiping away every tear that fell down her face.  He pulled himself off his knees and pressed his lips against hers. Her lips trembles against his, but she kissed him back with just as much passion. As if the same fire lit in their stomachs, the tears stopped and hands started searching each other’s bodies. Clothes were quickly discarded and they finally parted their lips, “Should we move to the bedroom?” She asked through heavy breaths.
Calum shook his head and started leaning back towards her lips, “No time, need you now.” His lips crashed against hers and he wrapped his arms under her legs and lifted her onto the table, the table that was going to need to be sanitized by the time they were done.

Fictober 2019 Day 1
Prompt #1: “It’ll be fun, trust me.”
Fandom: Pokemon (Based off of the events of Pokemon Sun), Homestuck (very slight though like, the homestuck is simply a facilitator for the pokemon)
Ships: Slight onesided Female!OC x Lillie, Platonic Female!OC x Hau, mentioned Female!OC x Female!OC
Rating: T for Teen
Warnings: Death mention, Swearing
“It’ll be fun, I promise.” “Hau. I am the first ever champion of the Alola Pokemon League. Sure, I might not know a lot of stuff about Alola given that I came here what, a few months ago? But, last I checked, specifically meeting up with a legendary pokemon that could smite us right where we stand, because of a weird dream that felt real, isn’t really anyone’s idea of fun.”
                                                          ~O~
To Vriskaya, Alola was…Interesting to say the least. Even when she first arrived here, somewhat reluctantly as she was perfectly fine staying staying in Kanto MOM, however it wasn’t a huge loss because at least she met nice people. Like Lillie, who was so cool and amazing and actually really pretty, and stood up to her BITCH of a mom like a bo-, okay maybe Vriskaya had a little bit of a crush on her, but that’s all it was! Besides, friends are just as good, admittedly it would be pretty hard anyways to go further, as Lillie was all the way in Kanto now; helping out her mom with that therapy thing that Bill guy made. Which would, of course, help get those neurotoxins out of her mom’s head.  And then, there were the dreams. Hell, they usually felt so real, that it was hard to realize that they were dreams at first. One thing about it that was really weird though, was that they didn’t start happening until she met Tapu Koko. She never told anyone before now because they were just dreams, nothing more, nothing less. And that brought it to the present. Where, after being unable to sleep due to missing Lillie already, despite it only have been about two months since she left. Vriskaya decided to talk to Hau, since hey, he missed her too so why not try and see if the two of them could feel better by talking to each other. And after talking about multiple things, including how bullshit it was that it was only until NOW that Vriskaya’s mom had unpacked all of their things, as she had LOADS of time on her hands when Vriskaya was out doing the Island Challenge, she had brought up the dreams. And then it all went sideways.
“I’m just saying, if they felt so real, then maybe they aren’t dreams y’know?” Hau said, shrugging slightly. Vriskaya then laughed a bit at the seemingly preposterous suggestion, “What are they then? Memories of a past lifetime? Come on! They are just dreams! Sure they are lifelike, but hey, some dreams can be.” She explained, because what else could they be but dreams? “Well, they could be memories. You’ve heard that story about the legendary beasts right? Well it could be like that!” He said, thinking of the story he read while in Malie City about the legendary beasts and how they came into being. Vriskaya nodded and then said,”Well, yeah, but! That was a special case, and that was specifically with POKEMON and I’m not even sure what I saw were even of this world! Not to mention, I have never seen a Ho-oh, and I am pretty sure the Tapu do not have that kind of ability. Besides, why would I be having some dead person’s memories? I am just me.” Seriously, other lifetimes? Yeah right! Sure, it was definitely within certain pokemons’  powers to bring the dead back to life, but from another world? Of course not!
And that just got him excited, because of course it did. “Well then, no time like the present to find out what’s up with it right?” He said while getting up, and offering a hand to his friend. She gingerly took his hand, and used it to pull herself up. “You are kidding me right? We’re seriously going to go to the Tapu about this?” She said warily, not entirely sure what was going on inside Hau’s head, and she’s not sure if she liked it. From what she heard while doing the challenge, the Tapu were nothing if not fickle. Which, actually makes sense given that they were fairy types, and sometimes fairy types were like that. Vriskaya’s mind going back to when she met her mimikyu, and how it had been several hours before she had found the little bugger, not even counting how long it took her to catch it. Conversely, Hau’s smile showed that he was definitely serious. “C’mon, you said that you started getting them when you met the Tapu right? Well, maybe the Tapu can shed some light on it!” Vriskaya sighed, she knew that it was a lost cause when Hau got something in his head, whether it be eating 100 spicy malasadas in a row, or challenging her at the league everyday for a month, he would stick to it no matter what.
Hau noticed how it seemed like she wasn’t completely on board with his decision. So then he smiled and said,  “It’ll be fun, I promise.” Vriskaya then replied bluntly, “Hau. I am the first ever champion of the Alola Pokemon League. Sure, I might not know a lot of stuff about Alola given that I came here what, a few months ago? But, last I checked, specifically meeting up with a legendary pokemon that could smite us right where we stand, because of a weird dream that felt real, isn’t really anyone’s idea of fun.” She wasn’t exactly enthused with his snap-decision, but hey, who knows what might happen. “I’m still gonna come but I am not entirely sure who would call what we’re going to do ‘fun’.” She said, doubting his words about it being fun. “Hey! It could be fun! Who knows, maybe you might wrestle with it!” He said, with his seemingly never-ending optimism. And, with that last remark, Vriskaya facepalmed. “Yes, because I could totally wrestle with a Tapu.” She said sarcastically.
She then shook her head and grabbed her bag, so she would at least be somewhat prepared for what might happen. “Though, if we get smote, it will totally be your fault for letting me do this.” She informed him, as if making sure that what might happen would be no fault of her own. “Oh come on, I’m sure it won’t be all that bad! Besides, I think the Tapu likes you so it won’t do that!” He said, patting her so hard on the back that she stumbled for a second. “Geez, those lessons with your gramps sure have been paying off huh?” She said, not expecting him to hit that hard.
The two of them then set off for the Ruins of Conflict, not knowing what exactly would be there for them, though it would probably not be fun in the way Hau meant it. Of course, like good friends, they began to converse between the two of them, and eventually, the topic of conversation made it’s way to Lillie. “Hey, Hau, did you… have a crush on Lillie? Before she left I mean.” Vriskaya asked timidly, as if she was unsure if she could ask about that, Lillie did just leave a few months ago after all, the hole from her leaving was still fresh, for both of them. “I-I, dunno, I mean, she was our friend. But, aw, I dunno! Emotions are confusing!” He stammered a bit while blushing, due to the unexpected question. which was understandable, as emotions aren’t really bound to anything logical. Then, Hau said, “What about you Vriskaya? Did you have a crush on her?” And then it was Vriskaya’s turn to blush, and it was much more noticeable, as even with how long she’s lived here, she still doesn’t have that much of a tan. “L-like you said, she was our close friend, and well, emotions are very confusing! M-maybe, if I had known her for longer though…” She admitted, not entirely sure how to deal with stuff like romance. “However, there’s one thing I think we can both agree on! She was, and is, totally awesome!” She said cheerfully. Hau nodded in agreement, “Yeah, she is really cool! I bet she’s enjoying Kanto right now!” Vriskaya then nodded, “Of course! Kanto is really cool! Oh man, I wonder if she has been to Celadon yet, the department store has some really cool items, like some pokedolls and stuff!” She said, remembering when her mom took her there a few times when she was younger.
Then, after not too much longer, they finally made it to the Ruins of Conflict. “Well, we’re here Vriskaya! Now go in and ask Tapu Koko about the dreams!” Said Hau, as he gave her a reassuring pat on the back, though with less force than he had earlier. “W-wait, aren’t you going to come in with me? This was YOUR idea!” She exclaimed, fully expecting Hau to come in with her since he brought up the idea of going here originally. “Well, yeah it was, but, it’s because of your dreams that we came here, not to mention, you are the champion after all, the Tapu will probably listen to you more because of that. Also you saw it once before so you might have some sort of connection to the Tapu, it is the one who gave you the stone for your Z-ring after all!” He explained. “I…guess you’re right. Though, if I don’t make it back alive, find my ashes and have them sprinkled on top of my favorite outfit, it’s the one that’s hanging on the doorknob to my closet.” She said, preparing for the worst case scenario. Which, when going to meet a fickle legendary could very well mean death.
Vriskaya then took a deep breath, and entered the ruins, with one of her hands wrapped around a pokeball, just in case it challenges her to a fight, which is very likely given this particular Tapu’s temperament. When she made it to the altar she kneeled in front of the altar, and said. “Tapu Koko, I, Vriskaya of Melemele Island, the current Alolan League champion, have come bearing a question for you, as it is something that has left me curious. I have been having dreams ever since I first met you months ago, and these dreams, they almost feel too real to be dreams, they are more like…memories. So I come to you to ask, what are these? Are they simply dreams or are they something more?” She then looked up and for a few seconds nothing appeared. Then, suddenly, like a bolt of lighting striking a tall tree in a forest, Tapu Koko appeared!
Then, the Tapu started to speak. But not like actual speech, instead it spoke directly into her mind via telepathy, “Rise Vriskaya of Melemele Island, Current champion of Alola. For the answers that you seek, you must show your worth to me. For you have already shown your worth to those of Alola by protecting them from the one who was corrupted by one who was outside of this world, and by becoming a champion to look up to. Now come!” As Vriskaya rose, she threw out a pokeball that was containing her mudsdale. “Go, mudsdale! Use High Horsepower! to get up to it and then use Heavy Slam to bring it down!” She said, as that was a start of a truly tremendous battle between Alolan spirit and Tapu.
After the battle, Tapu Koko bowed, “You have truly shown your worth to me, not only as what one would call a ‘trainer’, but also as a champion of the Alolan people. Now, for the answer you seek, those ‘dreams’ as you called them are not dreams but instead memories. Memories of a past life, memories of a place that no longer exists.” it told her. “Wha? But, I mean, how?! I am just me! I was born Vriskaya 11 years ago to my mom and my dad, and I lived in Kanto until my mom made me move to here because Dad died and she couldn’t keep up the rent!” She said, freaking out and unsure of what exactly this whole thing was about. Past lives? Places that don’t exist? What the hell does that even mean?! The Tapu nodded slightly, “I can see you are distressed, maybe this will help. now kneel so you can receive the gift of the Tapu.” after it said that, she kneeled and then it floated towards her and placed something akin to a hand on top of her head.
When it did that, everything became known to her. Her name was Vriskaya Serkyam, she was a…troll? And also had a chainsaw that ran on dice? And, she had two friends, one male friend who she cared for a lot, and made sure he didn’t die, no matter what. And one female friend who she probably had feelings for. Their names were Solska and Davenaya. She could also use something called…magic? There was also something about anger, and frustration as well. The three of them were fighting…something, when suddenly an explosion occurred. It was so large and so…different, it felt like every atom in that specific place had collapsed and then… nothing.
By the time that was over, Vriskaya shakily rose up, somehow seeming just a bit more mature than what she was originally. “T-thank you, Tapu Koko. But, if I may, why was I brought back? That enemy, it destroyed me and my… friends” She asked, curious as to why she had been brought back, after all, she was originally from a destroyed universe, one that didn’t even have any sort of pokemon! “There were some who thought you still had potential left in you, so it was because of them, that you were brought into this world. However, they could only save your soul and not your body, that is why you are like this. They also believed that you would be too distraught if you were aware of all that had happened, that is why your memories were specifically with me. When I saw you when you were saving the cosmog, I felt it was only right to give back some of what once were yours.” It explained.
“Again, thank you for this. I sincerely appreciate it Tapu Koko.” She said, doing a small bow then starting to leave.”Wait! Before you leave, take this.” Tapu Koko said, giving Vriskaya the Tapunium Z. She held it for a little bit before putting it with her other Z-crystals. “You may use it to call upon the power of the Tapu anytime.” it said. “Thank you, I promise I will only use it if I need to.” Vriskaya said, before finally leaving the Ruins of Conflict.
She then smiled when she saw Hau at the entrance. Thank goodness he was still there. “So…How did it go? Was I right? Were you right?” He asked, bombarding her with questions, since he was definitely worried about her, especially given how serious she was before entering. “Geez, I am fine Hau! And also, I will tell you later okay, since it’s getting pretty late yknow? I’m pretty sure that Hala will notice if you’re not there for your training tomorrow because you slept in from staying up to late!” She said, with a bit of levity in her voice that wasn’t there before.
“Oh man, you’re right! We’d better run so I can make it home on time! But, you gotta tell me eventually okay?” He said, getting a little bit antsy at the mention of Hala’s training. “Now c’mon let’s go!” He said, pulling on her arm, as if to make her go. “Alright, I’m coming, I’m coming.” Vriskaya said, at Hau’s insistence. Once the two made it back to Iki Town, they bid each other goodbye and then went their separate ways.
Once Vriskaya made it home, she went into her room and started making some sketches for what looked to be three different outfits, each with a slightly different look to them. One being more ninjaesque, while still being a bit formfitting, with a few gear patterns around the front. An outfitthat looked similar to some of the dresses that she had sketched up before, but it was now seemingly mixed with a tuxedo jacket giving it a nice cinched look to it, and it also had some spiral patterns on the arms, and the front pocket of the jacket. And finally, an outfit that at first glance doesn’t look like much, but still has a few flourishes here and there, mainly around the arms and the chest. And they had the titles of “Davenaya”, “Vriskaya Serkyam”, and “Solska”. She then pinned it to a corkboard that had multiple other designs, mainly of poofy dresses, on it. Also, on top of the titled designs, she put down stick notes that say “Do ASAP” on them. For she did not want to forget her friends. Not then, not now, and not ever.

Surprise Trip
Tumblr media
Pairing: Luke Hemmings/Reader
Words: 1864
Author's Note: I saw these gifs and I wanted to write something cute, obviously. So, my lovely best friend, @h0tsos, gave me an incredible idea! I hope y'all enjoy ❤
The obnoxious sound of my alarm going off woke me from my pleasant slumber. I squint my eyes after slowly opening my eyes, the sun shining through the blinds. Petunia let out a short and I smile softly, petting her head. I rub the tiredness from my eyes, picking up my phone to turn off the alarm.
happy two year anniversary, lu. I love you so much and I can't wait for you to come home from tour. ❤ xoxo
I smile at the text I sent, closing out of the app to see the picture of Luke and me at my cousin’s wedding six months ago. I set my phone back on the nightstand while I get up and get ready for work.
After my quick shower, I step into the bedroom in the nude, squeezing the dampness of my hair into the fuzzy white towel. I look towards my phone, not seeing any notification and I frown a bit. He should be awake by now… maybe he's busy or something.
I slip on my work clothes, a pencil skirt and a blush colored blouse along with a pair of black heels, before making my way towards the kitchen after grabbing my phone. I ate my breakfast at the island, sipping on my hot coffee as I scroll through the various types of social media.
The time on my phone read 7:15 and I sigh, still not receiving anything from Luke. I let Petunia outside after I set my dishes in the sink, letting her do her thing before I go to work. I let her back in after ten minutes, giving Petunia kisses on her nose before walking towards the front door.
I grab my purse and keys, saying goodbye to Piggy. I walk out of the house, locking the door behind me before heading to my car. I check my phone one last time after I buckled up, pursing my lips together before taking a deep breath.
He’ll text back… he'll text back…
-
The day has gotten progressively worse if that was even possible. I had to work late because my computer crashed and lost all the documents for the report I was writing, I almost got hit by a car while walking to the parking lot after I rewrote everything, and Luke still hasn't fucking texted or called once today.
I'm beyond furious. I had Steff stop by the house earlier to feed Petunia and let her outside since I didn't finish work until almost seven at night. I unlock the front door of Luke’s place, letting out a tired breathe as I heard Petunia's nails clattering against the hardwood.
A small smile came to my lips as she walks towards me, wagging her small nub of a tail. “Hi, baby. Were you good for Steff?” I ask whole crouching to her level after setting my stuff onto the table beside the door.
Petunia pants while I scratch her neck, pressing tender kisses to the spot between her eyes. I need a long bubble bath with wine. I slip my heels off, leaving them by the door before making my way upstairs towards the bedroom. I take my hair out of the bun it was in, combing my fingers through it as I step into the room while Petunia followed.
I came to a stop when I saw my suitcase sitting on the bed. I furrow my brows, slowly heading towards the luggage to see it filled with clothes. What the…? A note sat on top of it and I gingerly picked up the piece of paper.
My love,
I know I haven't replied to your message this morning but I have been running around all day like a chicken with their head cut off. So much press stuff, so little time. Anyway, happy two year anniversary. You're probably wondering why or how stuff is packed, but I had a little help since I'm not home.
I called work and managed to get you a few weeks off. Steff packed some of your clothes and in the envelope that sat under the note lies a plane ticket. Your flight leaves at nine o'clock. I can't wait to see you, darling. I've got a surprise for you.
I love you so much,
Luke x
Tears came to my eyes as I notice it was Steff’s handwriting. Luke must've sent her what to write for her to leave here. I call my best friend, listening to the ringing noise as I sift through the clothes in the suitcase, making sure she packed everything I needed, which she did.
“Hey, girl! Did you get the note?” She asks as soon as she answered.
I zip up the suitcase, setting it on the floor. “I did. I can't believe he did this. Uhm, I have to leave like immediately and I was wondering if you could either stay here with Petunia or bring her to your place?” I ask, holding the phone to my ear with my shoulder as I carry my suitcase down the stairs.
“Yeah of course. I'll head over soon Have fun and give me details!” Steff mentions and I laugh, telling her I will before hanging up.
“Okay, baby. Mommy’s going away to see daddy, but I'll be back before you know it. Be good for Steff,” I tell Petunia, kissing her head before grabbing my keys and purse once again, leaving the house to head to the airport.
-
I step out of the cab, looking up at the gorgeous hotel and I look around for any sight of the boys. I pry my suitcase out of the trunk, rolling it into the hotel as I walk up to the receptionist.
“Hello. Can I help you?” He asks and I nod my head, tapping my fingers against the surface of the counter.
“Ah, yes. I don't know if Luke told you I was coming,” I mutter awkwardly and he furrowed his eyebrows a bit.
“Y/N! You're here!” I heard Calum call out and I turn towards him, seeing the brunette walk up to me with a large smile on his face.
I gave the receptionist an apologetic smile before walking towards Calum. “It's so good to see you, Cal!” I grin, wrapping my arms around his shoulders to hug him tightly. “Where are the other boys?”
He points towards the ceiling. “There upstairs. Luckily I came down when I did. Why didn't you text any of us?” He asks and I shrug, the thought not even coming to mind as we head into the elevator.
We got to the fifteenth floor, following behind Calum as we come to a stop in front of 1545. I watch as he shoved his hand into his pocket, pulling out a key card before handing it to me. “Isn't Luke in there?” I ask, confused as to why I haven't actually seen or heard from him yet.
Calum just shrugs, retreating to his room and hearing Ashton’s laugh once the door opens. I chew on my bottom lip, placing the card into the door before it unlocks. I head inside, my eyes widening at how gorgeous the room looks.
“Luke? Baby?” I call out, going deeper into the room to see it completely empty. I huff out a breath, noticing a dress and a pair of heels sat on the bed with a note on top of it.
A small smile comes to my lips as I run my fingers over the light lavender bodycon dress. I shed the clothes I'm wearing, noticing it's an off the shoulder type dress.
I set my suitcase on the bed, sifting through the clothes to see if Steff packed a strapless bra. I let out an aha, grinning as I found the only strapless bra I own. I quickly change into it before slipping the dress on.
My hands run over my sides, stepping towards the mirror to make sure I look alright. A knock on the door snaps me from my thoughts and I walk over to it, opening it to see the boys on the other side.
“Hey guys,” I smile, letting them in as Ash lets out a whistle.
“Wow, Y/N! You look fantastic. Who knew Cal had such style,” he laughs, patting Calum on the shoulder. My eyes widen, looking towards the tall bassist.
“You picked out the dress?” I ask and he nods his head.
“Well, Mali helped a little bit,” he informs me and I nod while letting out a small chuckle.
I grab the nude heels that laid on the bed, slipping them on my feet while picking up the note.
Love of my life,
Hi, baby! I'm pretty sure, well hoping, you've made it. Put this dress on and meet me in front of the Eiffel Tower.
I love you almost as much as Petunia ;)
Luke x
I laugh at his note, folding it before setting it in my suitcase. “Does Luke know what the dress looks like?” I ask Calum and he shakes his head, smirking a bit.
“Nope. He's going to be blown away,” he smiles.

The hotel wasn't that far from the Eiffel Tower so I decided to walk. I crossed my arms over my chest, biting the inside of my cheek as I saw the light up the fixture. Wow. It's more beautiful in person.
I saw my tall, broad-shouldered boyfriend standing about twenty feet from me. A rose was twirling between his fingers while he combs his curls back.
“Luke!” I yell, grinning ear to ear as his head snaps towards you. A large smile comes to his lips and I quickly walk towards him. I can already feel the tears coming to my eyes as I ran up to him, throwing my arms around his neck.
Luke's hands wrap around my waist, letting out a small breath of relief. “I'm so sorry I didn't message you back. I had no time,” he mumbles into my ear.
I lean back from him, shaking my head before gripping the front of his leather jacket, closing the gap between us. One of Luke's hands moves to my face, cupping my cheek while our lips move against one another.
He pulls away after about a minute, stroking my cheek with his thumb while keeping his blue eyes on mine. “Happy Anniversary baby,” Luke whispers, handing me the single rose he's been holding.
“Happy Anniversary, Lu,” I smile, taking the rose from him before leaning on my tippy toes to press a short kiss to his lips.
The cool wind brushes my skin and I shiver slightly. Luke notices immediately and takes his leather jacket off, draping it over my shoulders. I lift my head up, butterflies filling my stomach as he provides me with a small smile.
“I love you,” I tell him after slipping my arms through the sleeves. The curly haired blonde drapes his arm over my shoulders as mine wraps around his waist.
He presses a kiss to the top of my head. “I love you, Y/N,” Luke returns and I rest my head against his chest.
Best Anniversary ever…
