I had an Experience™ playing pokemon today. So. Houndstone. I feel like we all know this ghost doggo by now. Just big fluffy guy on a pile of bones with the lore of being the passed spirit of either a well-loved and loyal dog, or one who shamefully passed before ever contacting humans. Well. Today, i caught a shiny greavard. I evolved him as soon as it hit nighttime and I was just looking over how lovely shiny houndstone looks.

Very handsome.

Now, i invited my friend into my world and i tossed this big guy out of his ball and i was just "LOOK AT HIM, HE'S PERFECT." And then, this huge dog sits down in front of my trainer, tail softly wagging, looking up at them right in the eyes. And something in me literally felt like crying. I wanted to name it Atticus after my passed dog. I literally FELT SOMETHING HERE. This dog gave me such sudden intense emotions that i had to get him back into his ball just not to cry.

Houndstone has abilities beyond the game and I will stand by this statement. This goddamn pokemon pulls at so many heartstrings.

#taks speaks #pokemon scarlet and violet #atticus used to look at me just like that #every pic of him that i have. he's looking right at the camera because he just never took his eyes off me #and THEN the fact that this pokemon is DOG and off white with brown spots just Hit So Close To Home #i am now more connected to this pokemon than i intended to be #i likely won't name it after my dog because i would then never use it in battle and just have him as a memento #but at the same time its like a weird reconnection thing. idk.#AGH. i wasn't expecting to cry from seeing the cutest damn thing here today
