Part Two:

Hearts conjoined

It had been almost fifteen years since they first met, they'd been dating for about five. The first to confess was Ades, he just saw something in her nobody else could see, and she felt the very same.

"Remember, immortal or not, I'll love you 'till the end of time."

"I love you too, I'll never love anyone else other than you. You mean too much to me."

"Silly, I want you to be happy.... don't cling onto me so much, hehe!!"

she took his mask off and kissed his cheek, he blushed, giggled and did the same to her forehead. It was like routine for them both, they didn't need to worry about being corny, there was nobody else on that part of Shiver Star, just them.

And even though that solitude was freaky sometimes, being at eachother's side was more than enough.

He snuggled close to her, nuzzling her cheek lovingly. She leaned into his side as they gazed at  the night sky. They didn't need company, the two of them were enough.

"How about I show you something before we get back home?"

The owls hooted soothingly as he took her hands in his, guiding her blindfolded through the familiar and colorful field of daisies. She could feel her steps in this seemingly unknown ambient with each one of her senses; breathing in the chilly night breeze, her hands warming up in his, the fresh smell of dew and the sweet taste of pollen.

And, soon enough, her sight; he gently untied the blindfold from the back of her head, as she eventually acknowledged their location:

"Ades... you..??"

"A little robin reminded me this was your favorite spot, right next to this pond. Hope it remembered correctly, hehe."

"You doof, I love it!" and just then, she kissed his cheek again, lightly, as a sign of appreciation,

however, just as she was about to sit down under the recognizable maple tree, he gently took a hold of her left hand, caressing it, seemingly nervous.

"Ades? Everything alright?" she asked, tilting her head out of curiosity,

he nodded, before clearing his throat:

"I was just wondering if this would've been the perfect place..."

"For what?" she was now smiling in confusion,

"To ask you this;"

he knelt down, smiling, but still nervous, before pulling out a small, but nice brown leather box, and opening it:

"Miss Dulciana, would you oh-so-kindly accept my request to take your hand in engagement, promising a relationship of utmost trust and love between us two?"

She quickly covered her mouth with her other hand out of shock, before nodding yes in excitement and watching carefully as Pleiades got up and delicately slid the golden ring on her fourth finger. And, soon enough, the moment he was done, she grabbed the other ring inside the box and slid it on one of his many hands, adorning its finger with a shiny symbol of their love.

She then flung herself on him, embracing him tightly as she squealed with happiness, he hugged her back, and, as soon as they broke the hug, they gazed into eachother's eyes as he lightly pressed his forehead against hers with a soft, genuine smile.

Anticipating silence filled the air as they both got closer and closer,

until their lips finally touched.
