Helena and Tim have some brief interactions in Robin #17 as part of the War of the Dragons crossover (Detective Comics 685, Robin 17, Detective Comics 686)

She also pops in and out of Batman: Contagion, it’s sequel event Batman: Legacy in a vague teaming up with Batman & co way. I will specifically call out Batman: Shadow of the Bat #53 for having a like, two page Tim and Helena scene which is important. To me.

Detective Comics #703 — This one-shot has a Tim and Helena B-plot where they talk about how she stands

Robin #34 — Tim and Helena encounter each other as teacher and student

Robin Annual #6 — they team up and dress up as cowboys. Essential reading.

They’re both in Batman: Outlaws, but I can’t say I recommend Batman: Outlaws any and also I don’t remember if they interacted much in it.

Tim plays a minor role in Batman/Huntress: Cry for Blood, vouching for Helena in issue #3 and shows up to bother her in issue #5. (Though honestly you should read Cry for Blood because it’s just good)

No wait, I lied. Read Joker: Last Laugh #5 and Robin #95 for the time that Huntress discovered Robin’s ‘dead’ body. (And you can also read Last Laugh #6 I guess if you want Dick beating the Joker to death, but there’s not really and Tim & Helena in it despite them both appearing)

Gotham Knights #38-40 — More scraps here, but there are some nice little bits and the storyline’s enjoyable enough. (even if it never gets followed up on ever… I’m not sore grumble grumble)

I'm tempted to watch One Piece just so I can understand, appreciate, and truly read your new comic >.<

oh god no dust don't join us down here in the pit aubsdkfjg. please understand. you have to understand that one piece is the most 'oh you'll love [minor character that appears over halfway through the show and gets a thimble of screen time]' series ever.

the 2 guys the comic is about?? cowboy hat (ace) first appears in episode 94. and is a side character for 7 episodes. and then leaves. and then pretty much isn't seen again for 250-300 episodes. and oh, oh you think that's bad? top hat (sabo, who is my favorite character btw!) doesn't appear until episode 494. in a series of flashback episodes in which he's a kid. and doesn't appear properly in the present time until episode 660ish, leaves around 730, and doesn't appear again until almost 900.

The formation of Team Star Breaker and how it might tie in with Chris's backstory.

We all know that the members of Team Star Breaker were selected by Dr. Ziggurat due to their compatibility with the arrangement system. What is interesting is that the team wasn’t fully formed when Ziggurat recruited Zeo around the time the qualifiers for the Japanese team were ending. The doctor was already the manager or coach of the team, and it already had a name at the time.

As a result, we could simply assume that Ziggurat had the authority to choose whoever he saw fit to be part of the team. And according to Ryo in episode 94, that’s essentially what happened.

However, Metal Fury seems to deliver new informations. Chris's backstory reveals that he once participated in what seems to be a tournament for qualification in the U.S. team. While it’s not 100% certain, Chris is a common diminutive for Christian or Christopher, which are common Western names. Judging by Wales’s interaction at the restaurant in episode 67, it is safe to assume that the European qualification tournaments were individual-based as opposed to the one Chris participated in with his team. Finally, Chris’s outfit is reminiscent of cowboys, who are often associated with the U.S. in popular culture, so he could be from there.

The tournament we see in the flashback requires participants to be in a team of three, which is quite different from those we saw in Metal Masters. The qualifier tournament in Japan was divided into two parts: the first, where bladers had to acquire the most points, and the second, where the four best would fight for the positions. The second qualifier tournament takes place in Savannah. It also consists of two parts: three battle royals that will decide three bladers who receive a bracelet. They will then have to defend it for 24 hours.

You may have noticed that these two competitions prioritize individual bladers first to create a team of the strongest bladers rather than simply selecting the strongest team. This approach seems odd and counterproductive if you aim to win the championship because, even if you have a strong team, it could be uneven, like the old Team Dungeon or even Team Wild Fang. As a result, even if your team consists of two powerful bladers, you could face a team of three stronger opponents, leading to defeat.

However, there is one advantage to this particular format. It works well if you want certain people on the team, or more specifically, if you want to ensure that the team you manage includes all the kids you’ve trained/experimented on. What I am suggesting here is that the team format ensured that the members Ziggurat selected from HD Academy would become the U.S. representatives because, in his eyes, they were the strongest team possible. Supporting this is the existence of mighty American bladers like (possibly) Chris. He was already strong at the time and had Phantom Orion, which was a powerful bey even without the star fragment. So, there was a real threat to Ziggurat's protégés. Ziggurat is prudent, methodical, and has blind faith in his invention, so it would make sense that he believed he had created the strongest team, one that would benefit the most from the tournament format. He could have also easily influenced the officials to structure the qualification tournament in this way. Not to mention, he already held the coach position before the team was chosen, and he very well could have bribed the appropriate people. After all, he paid the Garcias and wasn’t afraid to toy with Toby’s life to keep Zeo obedient, so what’s a few bribes?

If this theory is true, it would give new context to Chris's backstory. Because of this tournament, his friends thought he was too strong and turned their backs on him, leading Chris to become the cold-hearted and greedy mercenary blader we meet in Metal Fury. This would be particularly ironic, as he would have ended up working for the very people who indirectly caused this to happen to him.

He was embraced in Texas in the 1870's so he absolutely started out as a vampire cowboy. Like, he was a cowboy for a good while.

He's actually half Apache on his father's side.

At one point he had an existential crisis over the changing of time and was basically nobody until America's hippie years, which is the personality he's clung to up to current times (Bloodlines included)

He didn't pick up the aesthetic but he very much joined the punk movement of the 80s and didn't let that go either.

So he seems chill but is also full of deep seated rage at any given time.
