Started reading this fic, liked it but noticed it’s 220k words which is longer than I’m in the mood for, but sure, I’m here ain’t I and having a fine time, and then like 75 percent of the way in, it starts to seem increasingly like the problems being introduced are not being resolved and in fact even more problems are just turning up, and then I think huh…..this wouldn’t happen to be……..a work in a series, would it, and wouldn’t you know it. Wouldn’t you just know it. The first of a trilogy, and this 220k beaut is the shortest of the lot, for a grand total word count of 880k. This is, again, so so much longer than I was hoping for, but I do like the story, and I am glad there’s more, and this is much better than the last time this happened where it was the first fic in a trilogy where the second installment wasn’t done, so anyway I gird my loins and press on because I’m gonna finish what I started, and suddenly for the first time I understand how well-intentioned people just looking for standalone novels get suckered into following Brandon Sanderson series

It’s crazy to take a second just look at what he does, and this is just one month of the year. Some times it's the curse of being under the Smosh brand as some people just don’t see him as anything other than a cast member for Ian and Anthony. Of course the reason he is able to do this is because he has the Smosh team behind him but it's still an insane work load for anyone.

Questions for fic writers 1, 3, 5
Anon thank you so much for indicating the ask game, I did not realize I reblogged them both so close together lol
What inspired you to start writing fanfiction?
Epistles by Lady_of_the_Flowers lol. It is an absolutely stellar fic and I couldn't get it out of my head when I finished it. I kept imagining how the story might have gone on, what their BSS reunion could have looked like, how they might have found their happy ending...
And eventually I couldn't get it out of my head to the point that I wrote the BSS reunion (the teashop alley scene for any Burning Bright readers). And then I went hm, this could be better with a bit of context... (880K words later.)
3. Are there any specific themes you enjoy exploring in your fics?
I LOVE playing around with perception! How can two people experience the same event but interpret it differently because of their different frames of references. How can a character's behavior suddenly be recast in an entirely different light because of revelations about their background. How does an external POV contextualize or challenge or reframe an event. How does the reader's own perception come into play, whether through canon events or tropes or genre conventions, where expectation builds perception which then is challenged and recast by the unfolding events, not just within the text but within the reader as well.
5. What techniques do you use to create believable dialogue?
I really like writing dialogue, and I tend to think of building up an exchange in a few layers:
Verbal Habits: is your character a rambler (Sokka)? Blunt and terse (Zuko)? Always trying to poke fun (Toph)? Those verbal habits help build out the conversational voice of each character, and are often rooted in their characterization
Recognize Rhythm: Actual conversations tend to be a mixture of long and short sentences, exchanging listening and speaking, nonverbal as well as verbal cues. A hear-to-heart will have a different flow to it than shooting the shit after work.
Dialogue Isn't Perfect: People stutter and stumble, thoughts start and stop, there's cross-talk and interruptions, spoken word tends to be less formal than written word--building in those pauses and half-thoughts can help it feel more natural, and also show where a character is stumbling or struggling with a thought
Build Around the Words: layering in even simple action is a great way to make a piece of dialogue more engaging while also accomplishing some needed point A-to-point B or worldbuilding or exposition. Characters are also reacting to and thinking about what they're hearing, what they might say next, how it makes them feel.
Don't Forget Nonverbal Cues: Someone saying something with averted eyes and fidgeting hands suggests something very different than the exact same thing said with a direct gaze and squared shoulders. Body language makes the dialogue more rich.
Mix Up Your Sentence Structure: This is related to rhythm, but switch between using dialogue tags or not, put your internal aside at the front of a line of dialogue or the middle or the end, switch between long and short sentences. And do it all with a purpose--fewer dialogue tags and shorter lines of dialogue generally feel like a faster conversation, dialogue breaking in the middle tends to shift the emphasis of the sentence. Get a feel for the ways you can leverage your sentence structure itself to signal tone or pace or pauses!
For this Questions for Fic Writers asks game!

Több előnye is lenne:
Újféle tartalom is megjelenne a Pingvinen, ami talán új (rendszeres?) olvasókat is vonzana.

WEEK 45: I guess the most notable development this week was getting Boba Fett from G12 to R5. I did eat up a lot of my signal data doing that, so I’m working on replenishing those mats with cantina energy. But it’s going to take a while to get the rest of these bounty hunters to G13 anyway. As far as mods, I’m farming for a crit damage triangle with a crit damage primary and a speed secondary for Boba, and that’s the last mod I need to complete his set. I also maxed out the ship abilities on the Slave 1. I started working on ship abilities for Xanadu Blood & IG-2000, but I ran into a bottleneck on omega ship mats.
In Conquest, I got up to the 3rd to last crate, but don’t know if I’ll be able to get around to the last 2. Definitely want to try Normal difficulty next time.
My guild is wrapping up the Naboo raid, and I wound up scoring 880k between my Luminara Jedi & my Separatists. Most of that is coming from the Jedi. As of now there are 8 hours left in the raid and I’m ranked #4 on the leaderboard, with 14 eligible teammates showing a score of 0. And our score is currently about 11M, with the next crate at 14.5M. So theoretically, that crate is well within reach. Feels like there has been a drop in participation lately within the guild. Our current TW has 117M in active GP participating, where some previous TWs were over 140M. We also just got this hotutils tool in our Discord chat which shows at the end of the day who isn’t getting their daily raid tickets done, and there are repeat offenders. I’m not an officer, but I do wish folks were more active.
I took solo Wampa for a spin in GAC and that was as fun as advertised. I’m ranked #14381 in Carb 3 and #24 within my guild, but my next opponent is going to wipe the floor with me (unless they don’t show) - they have over 1M more in GP with R8 relics and datacrons.

I and my partner were surprised to discover I was only at ~880k until we simultaneously remembered that I have like 20 fics on my preferred niche Office fanfic site that probably double that.
I saw a poll about how many works you've published on Ao3 and so then I got curious. So let's try this.
How many WORDS have you published on Ao3???
i'm talking total word count that you can see if you look in your statistics.

In general, it is safe and very safe to use. Considering the security measures they take, such as using your mobile number to verify not only if the seller is from Cyprus and in Cyprus but also the data behind this verification. I bet that cases of fraudulent transactions are very rare. And if you follow some simple rules, such as not giving your card details to sellers or people you do not know (or even better - to strangers) or not giving your personal details, you will be safer. If something happens to you and you become a victim of fraud (for example, if you ordered an item and the seller never delivered it), it is very important that you report it to Bazaraki. The best way to do this is to make sure that the seller is able to deliver. A common method is to use the Akis Express Pay on Delivery Service. This way, you do not pay until you have the item in your hands. There are several safety precautions, but the most important of all is to use your common sense! Can you please guide me on how to determine the authenticity of an item on Bazaraki? Sure, but remember with online marketplaces, it can be difficult to tell if the items you are looking at are genuine or not. This is especially true for sites like Bazaraki, the largest marketplace in Cyprus, which is a great temptation for scammers trying to sell non-genuine goods. There are a few things you can do to protect yourself from scams on this platform. First, make sure you can communicate well with the seller and ask for real pictures and details about the item you want to buy. If you are not sure, ask for more pictures and details. When buying something on the site, make sure the seller has been a member of the community for at least 6 months. If he/she has been a member for less than 6 months, be extra careful. If the seller has been a member of the eCommerce for more than 6 months, he/she has probably already made some sales or purchases. These can be tracked by the business´s team in case of a case. In summary, below you have the list of six things you can do to protect yourself from items that might not be genuine. Here are six helpful tips to determine if an item is authentic on this platform. - Ask the seller for pictures and details about the item before buying. - Use the information the seller provides about the item and compare it to Internet information about the same product. - If the seller has been a member of Bazaraki for less than 6 months, be extra careful when buying from them. - The seller should have been a member of the community for at least 6 months. - If the seller is new, you should be extra careful when buying. - You can track the seller's sales or purchases through the Bazaraki team in case a case occurs. I am having problems with Bazaraki, who do I contact? Bazaraki's support team is available to help you with any problems you may have with the website. You can reach them by email or phone. How do I know this? Well, I am a regular user of Bazaraki, I sell and buy many things there :) To ease things for you, here you have the contact information needed to get in touch with Bazarak'is support team: - Complain: https://www.bazaraki.com/adv/4225455_unisex-parfum/ - Contact Form: https://www.bazaraki.com/feedback/ - Frequently asked questions Page: https://www.bazaraki.com/help/ How does παζαρακι compare to other popular marketplaces? Bazaraki is a marketplace for buying and selling new, used or second-hand items. The website is very popular not only in Cyprus but also internationally. It is the largest online marketplace in Cyprus with over 800 million visitors per month. Bazaraki offers sellers the opportunity to sell their items for free, and buyers the opportunity to buy their desired items at affordable prices and without additional costs or fees. Cyprus is a small country with less than one million inhabitants, including tourists. Other online marketplaces that compete with Bazaraki include eBay, Amazon and Etsy. Bazaraki has a clear advantage over its competitors because it can match local buyers with local sellers in real-time and for free. It is not necessary for the seller or the buyer to have a website or online presence. Bazaraki is not only focused on Cyprus. Internationally, with less than 4% of its visitors coming from abroad.
